    Mojo Monday 452

Another weekend for the books. It was day two of the crop and I managed to get a bunch of stuff done while I was at the Stamp, Ink, Paper store despite my sleeping very late! By the way, the new Sleep Number bed… extremely comfortable! I do have a lot of fun seeing the ladies put together their layouts and I like sharing my cards with them. In fact I sold a card in the morning! We all discussed the tragic news of the shooting at the nightclub in Orlando. I have stopped trying to figure out the world that we live in. I make the most of every day, you never know what can happen. When you really take time to think about what goes on all over this planet it’s pretty sad. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and victims of that senseless tragedy. I hope that things like this make you hug your family and friends a little tighter for just a little bit longer. Now on to happier things, like placing orders and keeping people crafty! That’s what I’ll be doing!

Today I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch…

    Mojo452

I had stamped my fish on Saturday and decided that he really needed to be on a card, that’s where today’s card began. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Die from a piece of Deep Blue and adhered it to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My larger panel is a piece of Snow Cone that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A strip of Gold Mirror Card is cut out with a die that I found in a drawer in the back, how’s that for a description?! I adhered that to the main panel with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and it’s heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of Deep Blue also cut out with the Cross Stitched Squares. I added some bubbles from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set and then adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The goldfish is from the same set and is stamped in Red Royal and Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped the first layer over the image with Versa-Mark and then heat embossed it in Hero Arts Clear Ultra Fine Embossing Powder. The seaweed is stamped in Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink and the bubbles in Unicorn White. I adhered the goldfish to the card with Foam Tape and then added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins… done! That goldfish is still a favorite of mine and he looks good in so many different colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and don’t forget to enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me!! Have a peaceful Monday my friends! 🙂

  • Sending Love Fuse Shaker Tag

    Sending Love Fuse Shaker Tag

I hope that you all had a nice Saturday! Of course being at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store how could I not?! Renee has a two day crop this weekend and I love to sit there and chat with the ladies! My friend Ebony stopped by to get some lawn Fawn goodies and I forgot to put something in her bag so when she came back I gave her a free pack of sequins. Love my customers! I left the store around 4:00, another perk of being the boss! LOL! I had to go to George’s and get Heather’s car, which I’m happy to report has a nice new windshield, and go and pick them up from the airport. It started to rain while I was there and I parked miles away. My trusty Dark Sky App told me that the rain would stop in five minutes and sure enough it did! I think George was a little amazed! We had a nice uneventful ride back to George’s and they got me a Starbucks cup from New Orleans as a thank you! YAY! I had a little dinner at my Parent’s and my Dad made spinach dip, so much for the diet! When I got home I decided that I would unplug for a few and just watch a movie. I never do that, turned the iPhone on silent and just enjoyed Olympus Has Fallen. Now there is a one action packed blow everything up movie! Today I have a lot of administrative things to accomplish and a few projects that I want to get finished at the store! What’s on for you today?

My card that I have to share with you today is one that I made using the June My Monthly Hero Kit. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Real Red and used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to add some hearts to the strip and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. My tag is cut from a piece of Kraft using the tag die that comes with the kit. I also used the window die to cut out the front of the tag. A few more of the dies included in the kit are cut from some Daffodil Delight, Shadow Curious Metallic and Pluto Stardream Curious Metallic. To make my shaker pocket I used the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool and one of their 12×12 Page protectors. I have to add that I also have the Silicone Mat and it makes a big difference when using the Fuse Tool! Before I sealed the pocket I added the metallic die cuts and some Silver Sequins. It’s then adhered to the inside of the tag with Scor-Tape. On a piece of Solar White 80lb I stamped the Sending Love and some hearts in Red Royal Ink with the included Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered that to the inside back of the tag. The two Daffodil Delight die cuts are adhered to the outside and some Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord is tied thorough the hole. Just to make it a little more fun I used Magnet Tape to secure the tag to the card, that way if someone wants to take the tag off and hang it they can! I love the fun goodies included in this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit especially that cool Tag Die! I hope that you like my cool little shaker card! Thank you oh so much for visiting with me today! Have an awesome Sunday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 240

Saturday… ahh… the weekend! It was nice and sunny here yesterday and warmed up enough for a ride home from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the top down! I got may haircut in the morning and then headed over to the store. Renee and I worked on projects most of the day. Sandy stopped by and picked up her Lawn Fawn Dies. My Mum text me than Daniel wanted to FaceTime me so I called them. He showed me all of his new cars that he got! I wanted to get to see him before he went home so I left the store around 6:00 and spent some time playing cars with him. He is just so cute! After dinner I came home and played with this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit! I made a card with it that I will share later in the week! Today I have to go and pick up George and Heather from LaGuardia. They are coming back from New Orleans, hopefully with their luggage! You know what Delta stands for right?! Don’t expect luggage to arrive! LOL!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 240

I worked on my card while I was at the store yesterday. The base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Two strips of card stock go down the left, Madras Blue and Mosaic Blue Textured. Yes, there it is, a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I adhered with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam! You knew it was coming! LOL! My butterfly is from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky and Persian Blue Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out and adhered him to the Gold Mirror Card with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Persian Blue. A generous sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Bermuda Blue Iridescent Sequins and the card is done! I love those Painted Butterflies and the of course that Gold Mirror Card that I’m seriously addicted to! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a very satisfying Saturday! 🙂

  • Fab Friday 89

    Fab Friday 89

Friday, Friday, Friday! Wee! I still loves me some Friday! I had another wonderful day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! I made a card and finished getting ready for the Stamping 101 Class. Renee got in some cool summer paper from Echo Park and Bella Blvd. and was happily rearranging things in the store to put them out. The class last night was great! Everyone left with a better understanding of the different types of stamps and inks that are available and what you can do with them! More people signed up for next week’s Lawn Fawn Card Class as well as the Introduction to Altenew Class the following week! I’m having so much fun!! Today I’m going to get a haircut before I head over to the store. I have to get busy and place more orders!

I did a sneak peek of my card for this week’s Fab Friday sketch on Instagram yesterday! Here is the sketch…

    Fab Fri 89 6-10-2016

I turned it sideways and took a few liberties! Well, at least one! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Spellbinders Postage Stamp Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer and then embossed it. Before I adhered it to the card I added two strips of paper, one Tropical Sea and one Yellow, and then adhered the stamp with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored them in with Copics. The pretzel has some Signo White Gel Pen added for the salt! They are all cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. The I Love NY is stamped in Onyx Black on Lemon Lime and punched out with a 1″ Circle Punch. The Greetings from New York City is also stamped in Onyx Black right on the card front. I love all of the fun images and neat greetings in that set! As an added bonus my friend Eva CASE’d my card and made one for her hometown of Portland! Stop by her BLOG and check it out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the Design Team BLOG and see what my fellow Teammates have come up with and enter yours in the gallery! What started out as a nice sunny morning turned into November! LOL! Around 1:00 it started to pour and got really windy! I choose to wear shorts and flip flips today, bad choice! I did manage to get a few projects done at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! It was a good day to be crafty at work! When I got home I had some dinner at my parent’s, my mum had gone over to see our neighbor whose husband had just passed away. They have been friends for a while and she is a very nice lady. My Dad and I chatted for a bit and then I came home and Taylor was here napping on the couch with binge watching Secrets of Magic on Netflix through her eyelids! Around 9:00 I ran up to BJ’s to get some stuff for work and bumped into Sue and her husband Joe. We talked for a while waiting on line. I miss seeing Sue! When I got back home I finished up my card and then typed my post before calling it a day. I have my Stamping 101 Class tonight, that should be fun!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Andrea’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Summer Lovin’ theme! Ahh, Summer love, I have had one of those, I miss it!

First up I have a card. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Slate. I adhered a strip of My Colors Mini Dot Prairie Hearts Paper down the left side. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer, I also embossed the die cut and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My flowers and leaves are form the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue and Sapphire Crisp Ink for the flowers and Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink for the leaves using my Mini MISTI. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of 46lb Vellum. I trimmed it out with my Scissors and adhered it to the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I was going to add some sequins but I thought that it looked nice just the way it was!

The other project I have for you is a box that I made using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I used the same Card Stock, Dies and Stamps to create it. I love the coordination with the card using the same stamps and shapes! It’s also a lot of fun to dig through Renee’s stash and use things that I normally wouldn’t get to use!

Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

    PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! SIP Challenge 51 – Sunsets!

What a beautiful day it was here yesterday! The sun was shining and there was a nice breeze down by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got a lot accomplished too, love it when that happens! Renee had her Christmas Card Club and I finished up some preparations for Thursday’s Stamping 101 Class! I spoke to Andrea and Michael, always a pleasure! My lunch was salad again, I’m keeping up with my healthy eating so I can loose this lovely donut that has appeared around my waist! Gotta get bikini ready! LOL! Today I’ll be doing a little research to see what else I want to bring into the store, one of my favorite things to do!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We have a beautiful inspiration picture…

    SIP Challenge 51 - Sunsets 800

Oh how I would like to be on the pier! The base for my card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts. On one of them I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Border Lawn Cuts. I can’t stop making the Distress Ink backgrounds and today I used Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch for the ocean and Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple for the sky. A little flick of water and some blotting before I adhered the background with Tombo Extreme and the ocean with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to the card. My images are from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Foam Tape and E-Z Runner to adhere them to the card. For the hello I inked up another piece of Watercolor Card with Candied Apple Distress Ink and then used the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello Lawn Cut to cut it out. The Waving is from the same stamp set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used Multi-Matte Medium To adhered the hello and some Pretty Pink Posh Sunshine Glow, Blue Lagoon and Sparkling Clear Sequins to the card. A little brush of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen one the mermaid and the card is finished! I really do love the way the Ink Blended backgrounds look, especially in the bright colors! Mojo Monday 451

Hey peeps! How was the weekend?! I enjoyed mine thoroughly! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy yesterday despite the gloomy weather and the brief torrential downpour that we had! I got my newsletter done and started working on my little pamphlet for the Stamping 101 Class on the 9th. By the time I left the store the sun had come out for a little bit so the drive home was nice. I had Chinese food with my parents for dinner and then Brian came by and helped me with my new mattress. I got a Sleep Number bed, hoping that I can find my number quickly and enjoy all of the great things that I have heard about it! I’ll let you know how that goes! Today I will get my pamphlet finished and start working on new orders and some more administrative stuff. Oh how I love my job!!

It’s Monday so that means that I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog with the rest of the Design Team for this week’s sketch…

This was one of those cards that got assembled in my head while I was at the store! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles to cut out two pieces of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I ran one of them through the Big Shot a second time with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tools, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Ink for the Grass and Salty Ocean, Broken China and Tumbled Glass for the sky. Some water is flicked on the sky piece and dabbed off with a paper towel then the grass is adhered to the bottom and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The sun is a piece of Daffodil Delight that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles. My clouds are cut out from Solar White 80lb with the the Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Clouds and then some Silver Glitter Paper is cut out with the coordinating Simple Puffy Clouds Frames. I used some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the frames to the clouds and then adhered all three of them to the card. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Yay, Kites Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Copics to color then in and stamped the hello in Memento Tuxedo Black. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The kite and bunny are adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the hello with Multi-Matte Medium. To compete the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the simple and fun images in the Yay, Kites set, especially against that Distress Ink background! Gold You’re Enough

How is your weekend going? Mine is pretty good! It was a little gloomy here in the morning but brightened up by the end of the day. The store was busy today with people taking Angie’s Folio class. They made a really nice masculine one with fold-outs and lots of pockets! I did some more administrative stuff and a little ordering too. We had a meeting at the end of the day, always a good way to end the day! It was sunny on the way home so down went the top in the car! I had dinner with my parent’s and then came home with Winston and crafted for a bit and even snuck in a little TV! Today I will be taking a little time to get organized and plan for some upcoming classes at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store!

I have been on a little bit of a “Kraft-y” kick lately! Get it?! LOL! My card today starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I stamped my flower from the Concord & 9th You’re Enough Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Bubblegum and Ultra Pink Inks using my MISTI. The outline is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. It’s then run through my Big Shot with the Concord & 9th You’ve Got This Die. I adhered a piece of Gold Mirror Card to the base and then adhered the Kraft panel with the die cut over that. Another nice simple card but the gold behind the die cut greeting really gives it a little bit of a wow! I hope that you enjoyed my card today! As always, I appreciate your visit and hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂

    White Painted Flowers

Hey there peeps! How was your Friday? It rained here on and off all day, the sun did try to peek out a few times but mostly gloomy. However inside the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store it was another fun day! Renee was off spending the day with her grandkids, I’m sure that she had a nice day too. I was a busy boy, I got some administrative stuff done in between helping the customers. I really do love talking to people about crafty stuff. One customer stopped in a brought a pop-up crib card that she made, it was great! My friend Paul stopped by for a bit, I got to talk to Michael and my friend Chantal. Angie came up in the afternoon to finish getting ready for her folio class that she has today. I ran out to the Post Office and mailed off some more crafty goodness to another happy customer! At the end of the day Taylor and Kiera stopped by and had some Blaze and Panera for dinner. When I got home Daniel was still at my parent’s and after I had some dinner he showed me his new Ninja Turtles Big Wheel and then we played with his cars. When I got back to my house Taylor and Kiera came by and I helped Taylor make a card for one of her friends and then made my card for today. I have lots of stuff to get done at the store today and I can’t wait to plan a few more classes for next month!

The card that I have to share with you today is a nice simple one! My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Yeti and Black Licorice Ink onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. The stems are drawn in with a Copic Multiliner. The greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black Licorice. I mounted the stamped panel to a piece of Black 110lb and then adhered it to the card. Like I said, nice and simple but I love the white ink on the kraft card stock with just the simple outlines of the flowers! I hope that you enjoyed today’s quick and simple card! Thank y0u for stopping by and I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂
