Fab Friday 10

Morning all! Happy Saturday! It is frigid here on Long Island today. We have been lucky so far with the weather but I fear our luck may have run out! I had a very nice dinner at TGI Friday’s last night with my friends Anthony and Danielle. We had some of the new Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese Dipping Sauce… WOW! That was some good stuff! I could have had that and only that for dinner. I’m off to Manhattan this morning to meet my Kimmie and have some diner breakfast. I have to be back early because I have lots of stuff to do later on! Today’s post is for Fab Friday. This week the folks over there have given us a five color challenge…

Fab Friday Color 10

Pool Party is my fave and I love all of the other colors too. When I saw them I immediately thought of the Dress Up Framelits Dies. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. The background consists of a piece of Pink Pirouette that I stamped in Pink Pirouette with the Secret Garden Stamp Set. I rounded the corners on it and a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I used to back it. I used the Dress Up Framelits Dies to cut out the dress form from a piece of Crumb Cake and the dress from a piece of Cherry Cobbler. A piece of Creped Filter Paper is cut out with the dress framelit again for the bottom half and a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon makes the belt. I used some butterflies that I cut out with the beautiful Wings Embosslit in Pool Party for the ones on the right and Cherry Cobbler for the buckle. The greeting is from the Petite Pretties Stamp Set** and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Pool Party and punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch. For a little bling I used some Basic Jewels Rhinestone to form a necklace. I really like the Creped Filter Paper over card stock. It has a fabric like texture and lets some of the card stock color show through. I hope that you enjoyed my Fab Friday card for their color challenge. Fab Friday 09 & Sneak Peek

Paper Players GD Love #127 - Version 2

Since the 2013 Spring Catalog is out now I think you need some more peeks at the Sale-A-Bration goodies! Today’s card, for Fab Friday, features two stamp sets from it and a punch. 🙂

The base of my card is a piece of Summer Starfruit Card Stock. The background is created with a piece of Bravo Burgundy and the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. For the greeting I used the Vintage Verses Stamp Set** and stamped it in Bravo Burgundy. I did the scored scallop and dots using the new Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate. I like the way that you have all of the different ones to choose from and the clear guide makes it easy to use. Before adhering the greeting panel to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals I rounded the two top corners with the 1/2″ Circle Punch. The little hellos are from the Pretty Petites Stamp Set**. I stmped them in Summer Starfruit and punched them out with the Petite Curly Label Punch**. They are also adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I think that the Summer Starfruit and Bravo Burgundy work quite well together and I love the Vintage Verses! Fab Friday 08 & Big Sneak Peek!

Sunday… how fast you show up! LOL! I hope that all of you had a nice day yesterday. I crafted my little fingers off and got almost all of my stuff done! I love a productive day, plus it was rainy and cloudy here all day so it was the perfect day to just stay inside. So… today I have a whole load of sneak peeks for you from the Spring Catalog and Sale-A-Bration! Leave a comment and let me know what you think of the new items!

Without further ado today’s post if for the Fab Friday Challenge. This time we have a color challenge that contains five colors…

Fab Friday Color 08

I don’t think I have seen a five color challenge before. I definitely had to think about this for a bit. The base of my card is Gumball Green Card Stock. For the background I embossed a piece of Real Red with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. The piece of ribbon is Pool Party 1/4″ Satin Ribbon** and is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. I cut out a piece of Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper** with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. Next up we have some flags that are stamped in Primrose Petals form the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set* and cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies*. The super cool silver caps are Soda Pop Tops* and I love them! For the images inside I stamped the circle in Gumball Green and the balloon in Real Red from the Collage Curios Stamp Set* and punched them out with the 1″ Circle Punch. I adhered the caps to the card with Mini Glue Dots. The greeting is from the That’s the Ticket Stamp Set* and is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I told you that was a lot of sneak peeks! I can’t even narrow down a favorite they are all so great! I’m partial to the Soda Pop Tops*, I think they are such a clever and different embellishment. Fab Friday 06

Hello everyone, how are you today? I’m doing well, looking forward to the nice weather we are going to have for the next couple of days. Today’s post is for Fab Friday. This time we have a color challenge…

There are two of my favorites, Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake, in there. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. I embossed a piece of More Mustard with the Holiday Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card with SNAIL. The stamped image and greeting are from the Joyous Celebrations Stamp Set. I stamped the oval in Midnight Muse and the reindeer in Crumb Cake. It’s punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and backed with a piece of Cajun Craze that I cut out with the Lots of Tags Sizzlits. The greeting is stamped in Cajun Craze and I flagged the ends before mounting both of them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It’s a nice quick simple non-tradiotional holiday card but if you look at it you can see that the More Mustard as a gold and the Cajun Craze as a red. Fab Friday 05

Hello and a good Saturday morning to you! I hope that everyone had a good week. What are you up to for the weekend? I’m off to Manhattan today to see my friend Kim and go to a Halloween party later on tonight. It should be a lot of fun! Today’s post is for Fab Friday. This time we have a simple sketch…

Nice clean and simple. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I took a piece of the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack and pierced around the edge with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool for my background. The flagged piece is Cherry Cobbler that I stamped with my Timber Standard Stampin’ Around Wheel in Cherry Cobbler. The image is from the Wonderful Winterland Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black. I colored in the image with Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers. The Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack was used to pierce around the edge of the circle that I punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. I mounted it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to a piece of Crumb Cake that I cut out with the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlit Die. The greeting is from the More Merry Messages Stamp Set and is markered and stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I really like the simplicity of the card. Fab Friday 04

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a nice day yesterday. Mine was good, I got to see some of my peeps at the birthday party and I spent some time with my friend Sandy too. My daughter came over and we had dinner together and then my friend Louis stopped by and we chatted with my neighbors downstairs. All in all a very nice day!

Today’s post is for this week’s Fab Friday Challenge. This week we have a color challenge…

When I first saw it I thought… hmmm. We all know how I love non-traditional Holiday and card and it doesn’t get more non-traditional that these colors! The base of my card is Summer Starfruit Card Stock. The main panel is stamped across the top with the pine needles form the Watercolor Winter Stamp Set in Island Indigo. I stamped the greeting from the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set in Midnight Muse. The ornaments are from the Merry Minis Stamp Set and are stamped in Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse. I used the Merry Minis Punch Pack to punch them out. They are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals that also hold the Island Indigo Bakers Twine in place. I used the Paper-Piercing Tool and the Stampin’ Pierce Mat to poke some holes in the panel. To make it a little easier to get the twine through to the back I used a needle threader. For a little added security I used some tape to secure the ends around the back. The paned is then mounted to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I think the Island Indigo pines have a little bit of a blue spruce feel to them and I love the Merry Minis Stamp Set and Punch Pack. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Fab Friday Challenge Card. Fab Friday 3

Good morning peeps! How is the weekend going so far? Mine is going great! I made some cards yesterday and then went to see my friends. We had a nice time and celebrated Brian’s birthday. Heather made some amazing little cupcakes and there were some great brownies too!

Today’s post is for the Fab Friday Challenge. This time we have a sketch…

I am feeling the fall weather creep up on us so I went with a fall themed card. The base of the card is Island Indigo Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Lucky Limeade with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhere it to the card with SNAIL. The flagged banners are cut from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper and are also adhere with SNAIL. I used the Autumn Accents Bigz Die to cut out the large leaf from a piece of Crumb Cake. My Stamp-a-ma-jig is used to get the image from Tweet Leaves, stamped in Early Espresso, perfectly centered on the cutout. The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount both the leaf and the greeting to the card. I hope you enjoyed my card f0r Fab Friday Challenge this time. Fab Friday 02

A good Sunday morning to you all. I hope that you had a nice Saturday. I was in Manhattan yesterday and I got to see some friends and do some shopping. My cousin, my friend Kim and I went to Korea Town and had some delicious Korean food. We also had the rehearsal dinner last night for my brother’s wedding. My gift was this amazing sign that he made me…

Now on to today’s post that is for the Fab Friday Challenge #2. First I would like to thank the crew over there for choosing my card as one of their Fab Faves for the last challenge. And what a soothing color combination it is. I wanted something clean and simple so I CASE’d a card from this month’s Demonstrator Magazine Stampin’ Success. The base of my card is Sahara Sand Card Stock. I used a piece of So Saffron cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and rounded the corners with the 1/2″ Circle Punch. I then stamped the dots from the Border Banter Stamp Set in So Saffron and adhered it to the card with SNAIL. The chevron stamp from the same set is stamped in Basic Gray on Basic Gray and flagged on the one end and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut three strips of Basic Gray in 1/4″ x 4″ strips and adhered them to the card across the lower half with SNAIL. The greeting uses the the border from the Memorable Moments Stamp Set and the words from the From My Heart Stamp Set, both stamped in Basic Gray, and cut out with the Labels Collections Framelits Dies. Some more Stampin’ Dimensionals mount it to the card. I really love the colors combined with the simplicity of the layout, it really helps call you attention to that sweet greeting! Fab Friday 01

Hello all and welcome to an early Wednesday brought to you by our day off this week, Monday. Thanks Monday, for one of the first times in recent memory I like you! LOL! Today’s post is for a new weekly challenge called Fab Friday. It was founded by Mindy Backes and is made up of a wonderful team. I have to say that I kind of like it! The base of my card is Early Espresso Card Stock. I took a piece of Lucky Limeade and cut the lower edge with the Finishing Touches Edgelits. A piece of Primrose Petals is embossed with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and placed right above the bottom. The stamped images on top are from the Watercolor Winter Stamp Set, The pine needles are stamped in Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla background. The poinsettias are 2-Step Stamped in Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals. I used my Paper Snips to cut them out and mounted them to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Chock Full of Cheer Stamp Set and is stamped in Early Espresso, I flagged the left side and on the right side is a Natural Designer Button with some Linen Thread adhered with a Mini Glue Dot. I have had a bit of an obsession with Primrose Petals lately I know. For some reason it reminds me of Teaberry Ice Cream that I have only ever had in Pennsylvania when I stayed at my Grandmother’s house. Maybe I’m feeling nostalgic!
