Fab Friday 82

Hello everyone and a very happy Friday to you! My Thursday was spent over at Sue’s working on Etsy stuff. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and then we went over to Red Robin for some lunch. They really do have great burgers and their fries are delicious! On the way home we stopped at Aldi so I could get some more coffee. Around 5:30 I started to make my way back to my house. I did go to my parent’s to have dinner with Erika and Daniel. He needed to watch his shows on the iPad like he always does when he eats so I put that on for him! I got a nice big hug and kiss when I was leaving. A quick stop at my house to let Winston out and then it was off to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. Just her and I last night, we ran out to Marshall’s and Target and laughed ourselves silly in the car on the way home. There was a lot more laughter, Heather wanted to see what I looked like with curly hair now that it’s quite long on top so she curled it and I actually liked it! As I was pulling into the driveway it started to snow, they say it will be the last of the season, fingers crossed!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 82 3-04-2016

As soon as I saw these colors I thought of peeps! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Pool Party covering the entire front. Along the bottom is a piece of Mint Macaroon, I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders Lawn Cut along the top and stamped my greeting in Onyx Black from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set. The peeps are cut out from Blushing Bride using the Coordinating My Kind of Peep Dies, I used another stamp from the set to stamp the eyes. The sky needed some clouds so I used the Reverse Confetti Sun and Clouds Confetti Cuts with Solar White 80lb. I adhered the grass, two of the peeps and one of the clouds with Foam Tape and the rest of the pieces are adhered with E-Z Runner. For a bit of sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the soft pastel colors and the fun peeps along with the sentiment is just too cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! Enter yours in the gallery so we can see what you do with them! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a fabulous Friday peeps! 🙂

Happy Friday! I had another really good week and hope that the same is true for you! Yesterday I ran around taking care of some errands one of which was stopping at the AT&T Store to see what deals they had going on. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had a buy one iPhone get one free when you start a new line promotion! I got an iPhone 6S Plus and an iPhone 6S for my mum. After all of the setup and switching was done Taylor was quite happy to get my old phone too! From there I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to get ready for Card Class. This morning I have a few things to get done and then I need to find a case for my phone, it freaks me out to have it all naked!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

Fab Fri 81 2-19-2016

I had watched a video that Jennifer McGuire posted for Simon Says Stamp the other day where she added an acetate panel to her card so I thought I would give it a try! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed out 2 inches from the front and replaced it with a piece of Acetate. It’s adhered to the card front with Scor-Tape and then a piece of Soft Sky is adhered over the top of that. I then stamped the card front with the birch tress from the Mama Elephant Winter Wonderland Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink. On the inside of the card I stamped the wreath from the Mama Elephant Charmed Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black along with more images from the set on a piece of Solar White 80lb. They are all colored in with my Copics and the owl, banner, ribbon, heart and flower are cut out with the Coordinating Charmed Creative Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I really like that acetate panel in card front with the wreath underneath, makes for a nice change from a standard card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Team has to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Happy Friday! I got some of my organizing done yesterday and then got sucked into Ellen videos on YouTube! I finally pulled myself away to go and have some dinner with Daniel and my parents. After that it was more Ellen on YouTube and then off to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday. Kim and Brian FaceTimed me from St. Lucia. Boy does it look really nice there! That has to go on my to visit list for sure! We watched Lip Sync Battle, always funny! It’s snowing here again this morning but is supposed to clear up by later on this afternoon and we may even see some sun!

After our little break over the Holidays it’s time once again for Fab Friday! This time we have some colors just in time for Valentine’s Day…

Fab Fri 80 2-05-2016

I always forget about Watermelon Wonder! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the “Vintage” Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I also used the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out some Real Red and adhered that to the Designer Series Paper with Multi-Matte Medium. My three hearts are cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables Lawn Cuts from Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. For a little more “Vintage” I cut out more Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride with the Chevrons form the Circle Card Thinlits and adhered them to the card with more Foam Tape. The greeting is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn I Love You Border Lawn Cut and adhered across the hearts with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally I added some Pretty Pink Posh Onyx, Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. I love the clean collage look of the card and that I Love You is really cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Head on over to the blog and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and enter your card in the gallery! Happy end of the week and start of the weekend! It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday! In the 60’s so I took a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte with the top down in the car to see Renee. We got caught up and then I came back to my house and Daniel came over for a visit with my dad. He watched some Mickey Mouse and the Beanstalk and had a Lays Dark Chocolate Covered Potato Chip! I asked him if it was good and he said very good… more?! After dinner with my parents and brother and Daniel of course I ran to Target and then headed over to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday! It’s always nice to get the weekend started a little early! We really do have a good time and a really good laugh every time! This morning I have a few projects to finish and then I’m taking Brian and Kim to the airport with the kids. They are taking them on a surprise trip to Disney for the weekend! A very nice early Christmas prezzy! My dad decorated the front yard yesterday and Daniel was inspecting everything for him. I love this picture of him standing next to the Santa that they have had since I was little!

Daniel & Santa 2015

Santa needs a bit of touching up! He still looks good for his age! LOL!

It’s time for the last Fab Friday of 2015! This time around we have some colors…

Fab Fri 79 12-11-2015

I decided that I wanted to do a little simple watercoloring! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wood Embossing folder, this time the birch trees. On the left I adhered a strip of Real Red and Mossy Meadow and then adhered the panel to the card base. My tag is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper that I die cut with the Clearly Besotted Rounded Tag Die. My bird is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Using the Hero Arts Bird Rubber Stamp. I scribbled some Pool Party, Real Red and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Markers onto an acrylic block and used a wet paintbrush to color him in, I dried him and then added another layer to give him a more feathery look. The greeting is form the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I tied a piece of Hemptique Black Natural Hemp Cord through the top and then adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I added a few Studio Calico Wood Stars to complete the card. I am quite fond of that odd little bird, he’s sort of cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for the last Fab Friday challenge of 2015! Go and check out the blog and see what the rest of the team has done to inspire you to add your creation to the gallery! Thank you for visiting today and I hope that you have a fun Friday! 🙂

Are you able to move yet or are you still stuffed like a turkey from yesterday’s meal?! I was pretty well behaved although I did eat more than my share of Erika’s stuffed meatballs! Dinner was very low key and I was back in the Stampin’ Galley by 6:00. I made the mistake of turing on the TV and got sucked into Night at the Museum. Taylor had to work until 2:30am at Michaels and we ran over to Target when she got out. I am thinking that this morning will be another late one! LOL! So I think that I will schedule this post!

Friday and it’s a Fab Friday too! We have a fun sketch for you this time around…

Fab Fri 78 11-27-2015

I decided that I would use this month’s Simon Says Stamp Card Kit to make my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Real Red to the front and used a piece of the Pinkfresh Studios 6×6 Paper that came in the kit for the background. All of the images and greeting, including the sequins, are from the Gifts of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set also included in the kit. I stamped the tree in Simon Says Stamp Teal Ink and the trunk in Khaki. My sequins, cat and gifts along with the ornament are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used some punches to punch out the sequins and the rest of the images are cut out with my Paper Snips. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on another piece of Real Red and adhered to the background. The gifts are adhered with SNAIL and the cat and tree with Foam Tape. Finally I adhered the sequins with some Bling Glue Dots and added a thick layer of Glossy Accents to them for a little more shine! I love all of the goodies in this month’s kit and I especially love the colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge! And the end to another week is upon us. Mine was a good one and I hope that yours was too! I stopped by Heather’s for breakfast yesterday morning with Brian before heading over to Scrap-A-Latte. I watched the store for Renee while her and Angie did some “shopping”. I worked on some of my projects for this month’s card class and also updated the computer. From there I headed back home and went next door to my parent’s and played with Daniel for a while. He really is a smart little boy! I know I’m biased but you can have a conversation with him and he just loves to talk! He knows his colors already too! Little Genius! After we had dinner I came home and made a card and then headed back over to Heather’s for a bit. She’s going to Florida with her boyfriend on Saturday and won’t be back until Wednesday. I needed to get in my time before she goes! LOL! This morning I’m off to get a haircut and then I have some errands to run. What are you all up to today?

Not only is it Friday but it’s also a Fab Friday! This week we have some nice Fall colors for you…

Fab Fri 77 11-13-2015

I used that giving thanks die again, I love that die! The card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Cajun Craze with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder for my background. Next we have a piece of Blackberry Bliss that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. On top of that is another piece of Ivory 110lb that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Giving Thanks Card Die. The image is from the Hero Arts Fall Trees Stamp Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the tree in Soft Suede and the leaves in Cajun Craze, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss. The card is then adhered with some more Fun Foam and SNAIL. A few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze Sequins complete the card. A simple and colorful Fall thank you card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for our Fab Friday color challenge! Is it Friday already?! That week just flew by! I got my tires put on my car yesterday and spent an hour or so with Daniel in the car. He likes to push button, every button! Last night I ran up to see Renee quickly and then stopped at BestBuy to get ink for the printer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to hang with Barbara at The Ink Pad for the day. It keeps me out of trouble, well, sort of! LOL! This Sunday I’ll be at the Society of Scribes Holiday Fair at The Brotherhood Synagogue with Anna helping out with the booth and demoing the Brother Scan-n-Cut. Stop by and say hello if you are in the area!

It’s time once again for another Fab Friday Challenge and we have a sketch for you…

Fab Fri 76 10-30-2015

My card today uses a new stamp set from Mama Elephant. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Range Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Ink to create the background. It’s cut out with the Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Creative Cuts Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A piece of EK Success Wood Sheet is cut out with another one of the dies and placed on top of a piece of Cork Sheet with the ends flagged. The images and greeting are from the Mama Elephant Blogging Buddies Photopolymer Stamp Set and are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the coordinating Blogging Buddies Creative Cuts Dies to cut them out and they are adhered to the wood circle with Foam Tape and SNAIL. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Summer Mix Sequins finish off the card. I love that little iMac like computer, it reminds me of the one that I look at everyday! Hi there and a happy Friday to you! I had a busy but good day yesterday! I hung out at The Ink Pad with Anna and Barbara. I helped Anna with the window in the morning and then Barbara with some on-line stuff in the afternoon. Around 4:00 I headed back to Penn to catch the train out to Babylon where Taylor and her friends picked me up and took me to Scrap-A-Latte for the first night of card class which is always a good time. This morning I’m going to get my haircut and then an eye exam so I can get some new contacts. After that Andrew is going to stop by and help me a little more with my project that I’m working on and then it’s off to the store for the second night of card class! Yay!

Today is also a Fab Friday and this week we have a fun color combo for you…

Fab Fri 75 10-16-2015

I did see Halloween when I first looked at the colors but then changed direction! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a strip of Cherry On Top Designer Washi Tape along with a piece of Bermuda Bay. My Flowers and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Artful Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Tangelo Twist and the outlines with Memento Tuxedo Black before using the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Designer Flowers Craft Dies to cut them out. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Black and the left side is angled. I adhered the flowers and the greeting to one of the PinkFresh Studios Happy Things Acetate Cards with Foam Tape and used more Foam Tape hidden behind them to adhere them card to the card! A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I love the bold pop of the flowers against the Bermuda Bay and the acetate card is just cool! And it’s Friday, next week I will be much happier about that! LOL! Yesterday I caught up on some things around the house, took a ride over to see Renee and picked up the stamps for next week’s card class and got to see little Daniel! Not a bad day at all. Today I have some cleaning to do and lots of cards to make. I also need to venture out and get some food!

Every other Friday it’s time for another Fab Friday challenge and today’s it’s colors…

Fab Fri 73 9-18-2015

I played with some new goodies that I ordered while I was away so they would be waiting for me when I got back! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Very Vanilla. I used the Simon Says Stamp Notebook Edges Die on the left side of a piece of paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack and adhered it to the card slightly askew with some SNAIL. The panel in the middle is a piece of Rich Razzleberry with the center cut out with a die from the Simon Says Stamp Happy Day Dies. All of the images are from the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. The hi is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and adhered behind the negative in the panel. Old Olive and Soft Suede are used to stamp the sprigs and feathers, they are cut out with the matching dies. Some Soft Suede is cut out with the Circle Loops Dies and all of them are adhered to the card with 2-Way Glue. The main panel is adhered with Foam Tape and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for a little sparkle. I always love a greeting heat embossed on some vellum! Fab Friday 72 & the London Eye

Hello and a happy Friday to you! Brian and I did a lot of wandering around London yesterday. Our first stop was the London Eye, that huge ferris wheel that lets you see all of London on a nice day and it was a very nice day indeed! We actually got lucky and when we went to get on line the guy there moved us over to the quick one and we were on in five minutes. You really can see so much from up there and it takes about 30 minutes to go all the round. The first thing that you notice is Big Ben…

London Eye Big Ben

Next up is Charing Cross Station…

London Eye Kings Cross

When we left we walked across Westminster Bridge and got this nice photo of the Eye…

Thames London Eye

I’ll have some more pictures for you tomorrow!

Today is a Fab Friday and we have a sketch for you this time…

Fab Friday 72

I stayed very true to the sketch, I haven’t used a doily in really long time! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Blushing Bride. A Tea Lace Paper Doily is adhered to the card with SNAIL and across that is a piece of EK Success Wood Sheet and a strip of Adhesive Cork. I cut a piece of the Crate Paper Kiss Kiss 6×6 Paper Pad with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles and adhered that to the doily with Foam Tape. For the heart I inked a piece of Solar White 80lb with some Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini Ink using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s cut out with the Memory Box Stitched Hearts Layers Dies and adhered to the card with some more Foam Tape. I stamped the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Locking Hearts Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Khaki Ink on the bottom right of the card and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink Iridescent and Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish the card. I really like the softness of the pink with the woodgrain, it makes for a nice contrast! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch challenge!
