Freshly Made Sketches 285

Happy weekend! I had a nice day in Manhattan yesterday! I spend some time with my friend Mary in he morning and then went to meet Kim for lunch. She’s working in our old building at 345 Park Avenue. We stopped at Chop’t and got lunch and went to eat in this little park with a waterfall…

It was a beautiful day as you can see from the picture! I got back out on the Island around 3:00 and came home for a bit. Jim came over around 7:00 and we went for a nice long walk on the Bethpage Bike Trail before heading to the diner for dinner. A little TV when we got back to my house before saying good night. Today I’ll be at the Store and there is a Crop, fun! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I went with a nice simple card. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp in Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. I added some Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it. The background is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My butterfly is cut from Black with the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. The greeting is cut from more Black three times using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A little scattering of Pewter Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! I love that butterfly and the subtle Tree Ring on the Kraft! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Paper Players 341

I managed to have a nice productive day at the Store, it’s nice to have a day to myself but I do miss Renee. I spoke to her last night and she got all of her stuff done for the baby shower that she needed to! My Parent’s came by the Store with Daniel for a bit, that was a nice surprise! I also got to see him when I got home. I had some left over Greek food for dinner and then spoke to Andrew for a bit. Some TV and that was the day for me. Today I have some peeps coming in to make the step card and then I’m off to a friends for dinner tonight! 😀

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today…

I had gotten one of the add-ons from the April My Monthly Hero Kit release and hadn’t inked it up yet so I decided to use it on today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of dark peach down the center. On my panel I stamped the image and greeting from the Hero Arts Dress Up Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the girl in with Copics. The dress is a piece of Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper that I cut with the dress die in the set. I folded it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice fun set and the pleated dress is pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks you for visiting with me today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 241

And it rained all day yesterday just like they said it would. If they were right about that then today will be more of the same. I had a busy day at the Store which is not a bad way to spend said rainy day! Jim came over when I got home and we worked on some more of the crafty project, got some Greek food for dinner and then just relaxed and watched TV. Today I’m flying solo at the Store, Renee is off to take care of some baby shower duties! 😀

It’s Wednesday and that means time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

Are you sick of the stamped backgrounds yet?! I’m still loving them! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Everything Smiles Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black randomly onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and colored them in with my copics. The panel is then trimmed to 3″ x 3″ and adhered to a piece of Tropical Sea and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I die cut the speech bubble from the same set from a piece of Wild Honey and adhered that to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The HI is cut from Black using the Hero Arts Alphabet Uppercase Dies. The rest of the greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Chinese Red. That is adhered over the speech bubble with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. I decided that the background needed a little something more so I added some dots with my Signo Gold Gel Pen and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks so much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Floral Happy On!

Another rainy overcast day but that didn’t matter because of the crop inside the Store! I had fun as I always do! Got to spend some time with my friend Evelyn, we chatted about her upcoming trip to London and Europe. After work I came home and had some dinner. Then I decided that it was time to do some cleaning so I tackled the closet in the dining room and threw out a nice big black garbage bag of crap! Feels good to purge! Today I’m off and I don’t have a lot planned so we’ll see where the day takes me! 😀

I have yet another stamped background card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp my background in Moonstone and Minty Fresh Ink onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To adhered it to the card I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and hid teeny tiny pieces behind the embossing. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! As you can see I’m really enjoying the stamped backgrounds! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a simple Sunday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 94 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

The weather men were right for a change, it turned out to be a very nice sunny day here! I think Spring may have finally come! We had a busy day at the Store with Renee, Angie and I all working on projects. I had a little dinner with the folks when I got home and then had a nice relaxing evening. I did start watching 13 Reason Why on Netflix, it’s a pretty good show and I think that it should be required for all teenagers to see. Maybe we would all be a little nicer to each other. It’s sad but sometimes we need to see that the way we treat other people can have lasting repercussions. Today will be spent organizing paperwork, I need to get my tax stuff together! 😀

It’s time now for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Board from LeAnne…

To start my card I stamped the shirt, pants and flowers from the April My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them in with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also stamped the head and feet onto a Post-it note and cut them out with my Scissors. The Hero Arts Paper Layering Eiffel Tower Die is cut from Kraft. I placed the images and Eiffel Tower onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to decided where I needed to stamp the head and feet for the girl. Once they were stamped I removed all of the pieces and added the masks over the stamped images on the card. Using my Mini Ink Blending Tool I added Hero Arts Soft Pool and Green Hills Ink, a piece of Post-it Tape helps give me the nice crisp line between the colors. Next I removed the masks and adhered the pants, shirt and flowers too the card. The Eiffel Tower was adhered after I added the lace to the top of the card with Multi-Matte Medium. All that was left to do was to add the greeting, also from the April My Monthly Hero Kit and also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I do really like the images in the kit, they sort of remind me of vintage Barbie! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from LeAnne! We hope to see your creation in the gallery so stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 338

After another dreary start to the day the sun finally came out in the afternoon and it turned out to be quite pleasant! Our friend Evelyn stopped by the Store and I helped her make a wedding card using some dies and a few stamps. When I got home I picked up Winston from my Parent’s and then my friend Danielle came by. We went to Smashburger for dinner and then did a little shopping before coming back to my house to hang out and chat. Today I have my Wedding Card and Gift Box Class and then tonight is Thirsty Thursday! 😀

I have a nice quick quirky Easter card to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To create my background I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Pool and Cup O Joe Ink to a panel of Solar White 80lb using a piece of Post-it tape so I got a nice crisp line between the colors. Next up I die cut the fence using one of the dies from the March My Monthly Hero Kit from another piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the background. My rabbit and lettuce are also from the March My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the images with 3D Foam Squares. I didn’t have a happy Easter greeting from Hero so I used the Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black. Like I said a nice quick card, everyone always uses carrots so I decided to go with lettuce instead! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I appreciate you stopping by and wish you a fun Thursday! 🙂

Lucky Because…

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on April 9th!

I love the big new word dies that they came out with and isn’t it nice to remember that no matter what we have going on in our lives, I’m sure that we all can find something that makes us feel lucky! And how nice to let someone else know that we are lucky to have them!

To start my card I die cut the large lucky from the Concord & 9th Lucky Dies from a piece of Solar White 80lb paper and used some Washi Tape to hold it to a piece of Black Card Stock. I put the outline of the die back inside the negative and then sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. After that dried I added some Mama Elephant Lemongrass Pigment Ink over the White and used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying. Here is what it looked like while I was working on it…

Next I used the Concord & 9th Lucky Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the I’m Super and Because… in Versa-Mark. I added some Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set it. My black panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then die cut the thin lucky from two pieces of Lemon Lime along with some of the stars. The two luckies are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then over the sponged lucky with Multi-Matte Medium. The stars are added randomly and the card is done! I love the look of the sponged lucky with the die cut in the middle , it looks a little like neon!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Design Team and that you are inspired to make a card and send it off to someone that needs a little reminder of how lucky you are to have them in your life!! I know exactly who I’m giving this one to! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on April 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 238

Another rainy day. It was so foggy too in the morning when I headed over to the Store, again, because of our close proximity to the water I guess. Renee and I had a quiet project filled day. I had to get two cards made and work on some other things. I left the Store around 4:00 to come home and meet Jim. We worked on more of the crafty project and had some Chinese for dinner. Always a nice way to end the day with a good friend! Today, I have to get ready for tomorrow’s Wedding card and gift box class. That should be fun! 😀

Without further ado here is this week’s Sketch for the Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by cutting a piece of the Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper and adhering it to a piece of Fun Foam and tying a piece of May Arts Natural Twine around the top. Then I used E-Z Runner Ultra Strong to adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I heat embossed the hello from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea and adhered it to the patterned paper. My Birthday is heat embossed with more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I flagged the bottom, adhered a strip of Candied Yam to the top and then used a little more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered it under the twine. A nice simple Birthday card! I love that hello stamp, it has a little bit of a stitched look to it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! I’ll be back at 11:00AM with a second post for you today! Be sure and come back! Paper Players 337

Hello! Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day indeed! It got up into the mid-sixties with plenty of sun! I made sure that I stepped outside quite a few times while I was at the Store! I got in a bunch of new Concord & 9th, got it all checked in and played with some of it too! After work I had dinner with my Parents and came home and cleaned a little. My friend Sue came by and so did Heather and George. A bunch of friends on a Wednesday night, who could ask for anything more?! Today Renee leaves for her little scrapbooking adventure to PA with a bunch of the ladies so I’ll be manning the Store for a few days! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

A nice layered sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die to cut out a piece of Illustrated Faith 12×12 Paper. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I heat embossed the XO from the Concord & 9th Love Notes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Gold onto a strip of Black with both ends flagged. I hid the adhesive behind the black strip and adhered the vellum under it. The flower is from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It needed a little Sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Pink Blush and Gold Sequins. I love that flower, so nice and simple! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting with me! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 237

Another rainy day, well it actually poured in the morning and then just drizzled for the remainder. The weather was gloomy but I had a bright sunny time at the Store. We got a few visitors and Renee and I had a good laugh as we always do! I left around 4:30 to come home and meet Jim. He was already cooking when I arrived. We had a nice dinner, saw Taylor, went over and visited with my Parents and then worked on the crafty project. It’s coming along! I have some Concord & 9th arriving at the Store today! New goodies! Can’t wait to play! 😀

I have a little card to share with you today for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

Funnily enough I actually made this card three week’s ago, it helps to pay attention when checking the Design Team group to see what the next challenge is! LOL! To start my card I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. The greeting is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and the images with the Coordinating Hero Arts Welcome Home Frame Cuts. To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Chinese Red that I flagged both ends on. My background is a piece of 48lb Vellum, I heat embossed the Hero Arts Wood Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder.  The images and greeting are adhered to the Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then I adhered the Vellum to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Apparently I really do like that Welcome Home Set, I have gotten a ton of use out of it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has dome and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
