Mojo Monday 456

Oh yes, day two of the crop was just as much fun as the first day! I love sitting there and chatting with everyone! We do have a good time and lots of laughs! Today for lunch was yummy salad pizza and then a little treat… some ice cream with lots of toppings! When I left the store at 5:00 I headed over to see my friend Chantal! I haven’t seen her in almost a year! It was her granddaughter Chloe’s Birthday so I went over for dinner. There were some more peeps there and we had a very nice time! By the time I got home it was 9:00, I retrieved Winston from my Parent’s and finished up my card for today. I had started the card at the store just stamping the background. Sometime you just need to stamp and a background is a fun way to do just that! Today I have some more ordering to do for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, I’m running out of room! LOL!

It’s the start of another week and that means a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo456

The base of today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Dark Quartz, Soft Pink and Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The background is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I then die cut a piece of Strawberry Slush with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares and Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. A piece of Crisp Cantaloupe is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts and is adhered to the square with Multi-Matte Medium. The square is then adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 110lb. I flagged the right side and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered in the upper left and lower right corners, keeping with the sketch! I love the different combination of colors for the background and the way that the sold card stock slightly mutes it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Deign Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for starting yet another week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! šŸ™‚

The weather… it’s very warm but I think that it’s just perfect! There is always a nice breeze by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store due to our close proximity to the water. Some more orders arrived yesterday and they got entered and put out. My friend Robyn from Canada came in a got her very first Big Shot! I told her there is no turning back now! LOL! It was definitely a top down kind of day all day! It always makes any kind of ride in the car better, even the one home from the store! My Parent’s had a burger waiting for me when I got home and it was yummy! After dinner I ran over to see Heather. We just needed a night to ourselves! We did run out to BJ’s to pick up a few things. After a nice long chat I headed home to make my card for today. At the store I have my Heat Embossing 101 Class! You know how I like to heat emboss! They will be pro’s by the time we are finished!

The idea for my card for today popped into my head on the way home from Heather’s. It’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #302

Ahh, it seems like forever since I made a Christmas card! I could almost feel the chill in the air as I crafted last night, or that may have been the air conditioner! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop Die to cut out part of my background from a piece of Black 110lb Card. It cut off the bottom so that’s where I decided that I would heat emboss my sentiment from the Hero Arts Joy to the World Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The background is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the greeting with Dot Runner. The skyline is cut from some, yup, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card using the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Die. I adhered that to the card with more Dot Runner, using the lower edge to cover the seam between the greeting and the top part of the background. My tree is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Hero Arts Lime Green, Green Hills and Forever Green with the final layer heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut it out and some Foam Tape holds it in place! A nice simple card that reminds me of the tree in Rockefeller Center at Christmas time! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Christmas in July challenge! Thank you for taking a little time to come by and see me today! I wish you a Merry… wait… too early! LOL! I wish you all a wonderful Thursday! šŸ™‚

How cool isĀ that? More on what you get in the kit below but first I have one more card to share with you!

All the time that I have been paying with this kit I have been seeing a Jellyfish in a jar! Well, today that is going to happen! To create my fun Birthday card I started by using a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Soft Pool Ink to add color to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. For the jar I dug into my stash and pulled out the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the jar in Soft Pool Ink. I then used the Coordinating Jar Frame Cuts to cut the jar out of the panel. I also tore a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and cut the jar out of a part of that too. The “sand” is then adhered to the bottom of the ink blended panel. To stamp the greeting I used Dolphin Ombre Ink and stamped it in the upper left corner. On the jar cut-out I stamped the Color Layering Jellyfish in Dolphin Ombre InkĀ and then heat embossed him in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. In the lower left I stamped a few of the small Coral also in Dolphin Ombre Ink. Before continuing I used the ink blended panel to line up and adhere the jar cut out to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I added some acetate to the back of the ink blended panel and then die cut the Jar Frame Cut from a piece of Fun Foam. That is adhered to the back of the ink blended panel. Some of the flat sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Mermaid Exclusive Mix are added to the jar and the front panel is adhered to the card base. I stamped three of the starfish in the Dolphin Ombre Ink and cut them out with my Scissors. They are adhered to the card with Glue Dots. The card needed just a little something more so I added a few more of the Sequins and a few Sparkling Clear ones for little more sparkle! What a fun different birthday card to send to someone, don’t you think?!

SIP Challenge 55 – A Sketch and Final MMH Sneak Peek!

MMH_Logo_TB

I trust that you all had a safe and happy 4th of July! I spent most of my day catching up on projects and straightening up the house some more! It feels so good to get back some control over the chaos! I still have a long way to go but I’m getting there! Around 3:30 I headed over to Brian and Kim’s for a small little BBQ with a group of friends. Taylor and Kiera stopped by too! Brian made some really good eats and I had some Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Beer! One of my favorites! I came home at 8:30 to stay with Winston, he hates fireworks and shakes like you wouldn’t believe! And let me tell you, it sounds like a war zone around here from 8:30 until well past midnight usually but the rain started at 11:00 so it ended a little early!! You would never know that fireworks are illegal here! Today is a very busy day here on the blog! I have my SIP post this morning and then a fun Blog Hop at 1:00PM EST to celebrate the releaseĀ of the July My Monthly Hero Kit! Be sure and come back for that! You are sure to see some of my favorites hopping along!

To get things started today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! It’s also my last Sneak Peek of the MMH Kit before the launch later on today! Here is this week’s sketch from Sandy…

SIP Sketch Challenge 55 800

I think that I can safely say that the Octopus from the Add-On Set is my favorite, well him and the Jellyfish! I had to use him one more time! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of the Silver Swirl Text Weight Paper from the Kit. Down the right side is a piece of the Aqua Lagoon Metallic Card Stock, also from the Kit. I do love to stamp some of my own patterned paper and the Coral from the Main Set is perfect for that! I stamped two of them in Hero Arts Tide Pool and Charcoal Ink adding some bubbles stamped in Soft Pool. After trimming down the piece I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. That fun super detailed Octopus is stamped in Soft Pool for the first layer and Tide Pool for the second. I matted him with some Dark Gray card stock and adhered that panel to the card with more E-Z Runner. MyĀ greeting is from the Add-On Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on more Dark Gray and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. He needed a little shine so I adhered a few of the StarĀ Sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Mermaid Exclusive Mix with some Multi-Matte Medium. Love the softness of the colors and the Silver Swirl Paper is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge and my final Sneak Peek for the July My Monthly Hero Kit! Stop by the Stamp, Ink, Paper BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today and I hope to see you back here at 1:00PM EST for the MMH Blog Hop!! Until then, have a super Tuesday! šŸ™‚

Mojo Monday 455 & MMH Sneak Peek 4!

MMH_Logo_TB

Happy 4th of July to my American friends! I hope that you all have some fun stuff planned for today! I’ll be heading over to Brian & Kim’s for a BBQ later on. Yesterday was another lovely day here! I got up late and went to get Heather so we could take a ride to The Apple Store. Her iPhone has been acting up so she wanted to get it checked out. They suggested… yes… a restore! I could have told her that! LOL! From there we went over to see Kim and the kiddies for a bit and enjoyed some pizza for lunch! I had said that I wanted to run into Manhattan quickly to pick something up from Isabella so Heather and I hopped in the Convertible and made our way in. The traffic was pretty light going in and we found a parking space on the street. I got to say hello to Diego who was there enjoying his sports on TV! He just got back from a bike trip in the Pyrenees! How cool is that?! The traffic on the way home was a little heavier but not too bad. I dropped Heather back off at George’s and then came home and got some of my cleaning started. There is a lot more to do but I did make a little dent! Phew! That was a busy day!

It’s always best to start off the week with a new Mojo Monday sketch, don’t you agree…

Mojo455

This is also day 4 of my sneak peeks of the July My Monthly Hero Kit! I decided that I needed to use the jellyfish again. I just think that they are such pretty ethereal creatures! To start my card I used a piece of the Metallic Teal Card Stock that comes in the Kit, cut it to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and used a stitched Rectangle to cut out my window. I put that on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb and traced so I would know just where to stamp the jellyfish. He is stamped in Hero Arts Tide Pool for the first layer and heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder for the second. I added some Foam Tape to the back of my Teal piece, sprinkled in some of the Little Things by Lucy Exclusive Sequins Mix included in the Kit and then added my back panel to create my shaker. In the upper right is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I used a stitched circle to cut out and in the lower right is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb, heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp and some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The greeting is from the main stamp set in the kit also and is heat embossed in more Gold onto some Black 110lb. All of the pieces are adhered to the shaker and then that is attached to a baseĀ of Solar White 110lb to finish the card! I do really love that jellyfish and I think that he looks quite neat with his little shaker bits! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! That is also my 4th sneak peek of the My Monthly Hero Kit! Come back tomorrow for still more peeks! I wish you all the most marvelous Monday ever! šŸ™‚

Undersea Coral & Octopus MMH Sneak Peek 3!

Ahh… the first real weekend I have had in a long time! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was nice yesterday! We had some peeps stop by including my friends Sandy and Louis! I played around with stamps and got a few more projects finished. The ride home was fabulousĀ and yes, it was topless! LOL! I had dinner with my Parent’s and then headed over to Heather’s sister’s block party. We had a greatĀ time, I got to hang with George and we had a good laugh! This morning I’m off to the Apple Store with Heather and then I want to try and run into Manhattan for a bit, we’ll see how that goes! I’m trying to cram too much into my two days off!

My card that I have to share with you today is my third sneak peek of the July My Monthly Hero Kit! I made what is essentially a one layer card! To begin I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. Next up I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the super detailed Octopus from the Add-On Set. The first layer is stamped in Hero Arts Soft Granite and the second layer in Charcoal. I used my Heat Tool to make sure that he was nice and dry and then brushed him over with my Powder Tool before stamping the first layer of the stamp again over the top with Versa-Mark, adding Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder and heat setting it. My coral along the bottom is from the same Add-On Set and is stamped in Red Royal and Orange Soda. The greeting is then stamped in Red Royal and I adhered the finished panel to a Solar White 110lb Card Base. So technically it is a single layer card! I think that the detail in that Octopus is so life like that if you look quickly at the card you may mistake it for a picture! So amazing what you can do with a little ink and some stamps! I hope that you enjoyed my third sneak peek of the July My Monthly Hero Kit, I know that I’m having fun sharing them! Remember, you can purchase the Kit staring on July 5th at 1:00PM EST directly from Hero Arts! Thanks for coming by and Iā€™ll have another look at some more ofĀ the Kit tomorrow! Have a stupendous Sunday! šŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 243 & MMH Sneak Peek 2!

MMH_Logo_TB

Oh we are gearing up for a nice long weekend here! It was an overcast day on Long Island but that didn’t dampen any of the fun at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Renee and Angie were there and we crafted the day away! Around 4:30 the heavens opened up and it bucketed down! My trusty Dark Sky App let me know that I would have a window around 6:00 to make a break for the car and head home so that’s just what I did! Around 7:30 Anthony and Bill came by to get me so that we could go and have some Friday’s! I had a nice New York bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious! The fries were well done, just how I like them too! Once back home I crafted for a bit before watching a little TV. Today I have a bunch of things to get finished before the store is closed for two days! Not that I will not be doing any work! LOL!

Today I have my second sneak peek of the July My Monthly Hero Kit to share with you! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 243

Today’s card all started with another Ink Blended Background! I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Hero Arts Cornflower Ink to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The two images are from the Main Stamp Set from the Kit. They are Color Layering Jellyfish and are stamped in Soft Pink for the first layer and a new just too cool for words Ombre Ink Pad for the second layer. I adhered a piece of Fun Foam to the back of the panel to get it ready to add to the base. That base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and along the bottom I stamped some of the Coral from The Main Stamp Set in more of that super cool Ombre Ink! My main panel is then adhered to the card base. The greeting is again from the Main Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Vellum with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A little Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape holds it to the card. Finally I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Ballerina Pink and Pansy Purple Sequins to complete the card! I must be in a tropical frame of mind with all of my Ink Blended Backgrounds in the gorgeous soft blues, pinks and purples! I hope that you enjoyed your second sneak peek at the July My Monthly Hero Kit and my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! You can purchase the Kit staring on July 5th at 1:00PM EST directly from Hero Arts! Thanks for coming by and I’ll have another look at the goodies in the Kit tomorrow! Have a simply marvelous Saturday! šŸ™‚

Paper Players 301 & Special Sneak Peek!!

MMH_Logo_TB

A very happy Friday to you all! The weather here has been just amazing this week! I keep sneaking out of the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to enjoy some sunshine! Renee was off yesterday enjoying a day with her children so I was manning the fort alone! I did have quite a few visitors! My friend Dianne stopped by and another friend that I haven’t seen in a long came by too and we had a nice long chat and g0t all caught up! Customers were in and out all day picking up special orders and discovering new goodies! Oh how I love my job!! When I got home my Parent’s were still out at my Brother’s spending time with Daniel so I had a sandwich for dinner and then headed over to see Heather for a the evening. We ran out and did a few errands and then just sat outside and enjoyed the evening! And here we are at the end of the week before a nice long Holiday weekend! I have off on Sunday and Monday! YAY! I can catch up on some things around the house! LOL! šŸ˜›

Today I have a very special treat for you! I have aĀ sneak peek of the My Monthly Hero Kit for July and it is just awesome! You are going to love it! I can’t stop playing with it! So many cool goodies! As soon as the kit goes on sale July 5th at 1:00pm EST you are going to have to move fast because it’s going to go QUICK! The first card that I made with the kit also happens to be for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge…

Paper Players #301

To create my card today I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock cut to 6″ x 4 3/4″. To it, I added some Hero Arts Cornflower, Soft Lilac and Soft Pink Ink with a Ranger Mini Ink Blending tool creatingĀ a nice OmbreĀ background (I was inspired by one of the items in the kit!). OnĀ background I stamped a few of the images from the cool Stamp Set in Hero Arts Charcoal Ink. The panel is then trimmed to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and Ā adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My turtle is also from the stamp set and is stamped in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink, there are coordinating dies for the stamps but I used my trusty Scissors for this guy! A piece of Vellum has one of the greetings from the set heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. I put a little Foam Tape on the back of the turtle to adhered him to the Vellum and then another layer behind the Vellum to adhere my panel to the card. A piece of twine is tied in a bow around the lower half of the Vellum and some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape is placed behind the greeting to keep everything in place! Just for a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins around the turtle and the card is done! I love that turtle, isn’t he neat?! The shadow images of the fish and turtles against that cool background are so much fun too! See, didn’t I tell you that it was awesome! I hope that you enjoyed your little sneak peek of the July My Monthly Hero Kit and my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! I’ll have more sneak peeks of the Kit through Tuesday, July 5th when it officially launches on the Hero Arts Store! You can see even more sneak peeks over at the Hero Arts Blog so be sure and check that out too! Thank you for coming by today to share in some of my excitement and I wish you all a fantastic Friday! šŸ™‚

Sue’s Birthday Card!

Hello my friends! How is your week going? Mine is pretty busy but we all know that I like it like that! LOL! Yesterday Sue came by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to help me out for a while. We unpacked and got orders put out and ordered more stuff! Renee had her Christmas Card Club and her peeps stopped by to make their cards and pick up some goodies from me! After work I stopped by Heather’s and picked up something that I had left there this morning when I stopped by for breakfast! Then IĀ came home and had a little dinner with my Parents. After dinner I spent some time working on a few projects in the Stampin’ Galley, yes, I can never get enough craftiness in my day! LOL! Starting tomorrow I have some VERY exciting things to share with you! You won’t want to miss it some make sure that you come by! I’m a little giddy about it so you know it has to be good!

In honor of Sue’s visit to the store I have her Birthday card from last week to share with you today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My flowers are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the main flower in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card using my Mini MISTI. I did a few times to make sure that I got a nice dark clean image. To color it in I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and a Waterbrush. In between layers I used my Heat Tool to dry the layers and when I was finished I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. On the card front I stamped another image from the set twice to serve as a subtle background. My frame is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out using the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities Die. A little Multi-Matte Medium Holds the frame in place and some Foam Tape adheres the die cut flower to the card. My greeting is from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Intense Black. Finally some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold and Raspberry Sequins are added around the flower for some more shine! I do love the simple feel to the card and the way the watercolor flower just leaps off the front! I hope that you enjoyed Sue’s Birthday as much as she did! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for my little surprise! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a tantalizing Thursday! šŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 201

So I made a little boo boo yesterday! I titled yesterday’s post Paper Craft Crew 201 and not SIP Challenge 54 when I did it Monday night! Yeah, that’s what I get for trying to work ahead! LOL! I had just uploaded my Paper Craft Crew card to the Design Team site and that is what I’m blaming the incorrect title on! So, today is the Paper Craft Crew 201 post! YAY! I think that I’m back on track but you never know when I may get derailed again! With all that I have going on it’s surprise me that I remember how to get back home at the end of the day! Anyway, yesterday was a good day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store… Hero Arts arrived, well, most of it! I love the new Ink Cube 4 Packs! Such cool color combos and they make the Color Layering Sets nice and easy to use! I got them entered and hung up! Renee’s Home Decor class was fun! All of the peeps really liked their projects! I will remember to take a picture… today! šŸ˜› I left the store at 6:30 so I could get home in time to see my little buddy Daniel! He was extra cute, my parents got him some new trucks and he showed them all to me and how they worked and what they did! Such a smartie! After I had a little dinner I headed over to get Heather so we could do a BJ’s run. I needed stuff for lunch and she needed to pick up a ton of chicken wings to make for her sister’s block party this weekend. We stopped at George’s to drop off the chicken, he had more room in his fridge, and then went back to Heather’s and binge watched some YouTube videos! Today I have Lawn Fawn and Notions coming and I think that my buddy Sue is going to come up to the store to help! Wee!

Let’s see… Wednesday… ahh yes… I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog (got it right!) for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS201 DT Sketch 6-29-2016

I started making this card while I was at the store and finished it when I got home Monday night! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Using one of the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles I cut out a piece of paper from the Carta Bella Beach Day Line, the Beach Ball Bash 12×12 piece. I heat embossed the greetingĀ in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The ice cream cones and the greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cones in Soft Brown and Cup O Joe and the ice cream is stamped in Soft Vanilla and Butter Bar with the solid image stamped again over the top using Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts along with the cherry that is stamped in Red Royal. The cones are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and the ice cream and the cherry, that I added some Glossy Accents to, with Foam Tape. In the upper right is a piece of Daffodil Delight that I flagged, a red button has some random Baker’s Twine tied into a bow andĀ then the flag is adhered with more E-Z Runner and the button with a Glue Dot and done! I love that teal woodgrain paper and the clear heat embossing really gives some nice texture to the ice cream! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! This one runs for two weeks so you have plenty of time to head on over to the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! šŸ™‚
