SIP Challenge 125 – Colors!

Hi there! Still looking for Winston in the mornings, I guess I’ll be doing that for a while. I had a very quiet day yesterday, ran some errands and did some cleaning. This morning I’m going to try and get a few things organized around the house and maybe get some laundry done. Hopefully you all are having a more eventful week than me! πŸ˜€

I did spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley yesterday and made my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Some timely colors as the leaves are all falling off the trees around here. I do love to just do some stamping, get to use some of the plethora of inks that I have! Today’s card uses the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the leaves in Just Rust, Pumpkin Pie, Butter Bar and Cup O Joe to form a wreath. I started by stamping the large Just Rust ones and then went around to make the circle. My greeting is stamped in Cup O Joe in the lower right. I have these fun leaves in the Little Things by Lucy Colors of Fall Sequins Mix so I added a few of them and the card is done. A nice simple card but still way better than anything you can get in the store, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get inspired to create a card to share with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting! Have an amazing Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 267

Oh how I miss the Summer! Have I said that already?! And we are just getting started with the cold weather! Ugh! Getting dark at 5:00PM isn’t fun either! Ok, enough whining! LOL! What started out as a sunny day quickly turned overcast and then it started rain around 4:00 and did that for the rest of the night. I ran up to IKEA in the morning and got a few pillows for the couch. Taylor came by in then evening and that was pretty much my day. This morning I’m off to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! We have added a bunch more items to the SHOP including Altenew and Concord & 9th! You should go over and take a look! πŸ˜€

For my mid-week card I have one to share with you for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose to go across the top row. I have been trying to make some simple Holiday cards, I really am planning on sending them out this year and if I come up with a few simple ones that will be easy to make multiples of it will happen! To start my card I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Tropical Sea with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of 29lb Vellum. That is adhered around the back of the stamped background panel and that is then adhered to a piece of Metallic Copper Card Stock which is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The card needed a little sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. I do love the tone on tone background and the fun simple copper accents! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some inspiration and add your card to the gallery! Thanks you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 124 – Girls Night Out!

Fall is definitely in the air, woke up to 42 degrees this morning! How many more days until Spring?! Yesterday I managed to get a lot of stuff done in the early in the day and had a nice relaxing evening. This morning I’m going to run up to IKEA to see about some throw pillows for the couch and then work on some more projects. πŸ˜€

I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you today for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

A fun challenge that Andrea and Dena came up with! I dug out my December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and some of the Add-Ons to make my card! For the background I used the Hero Arts Party Confetti Fancy Die to cut a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. That is adhered to a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic with some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My martini glass is cut from more Super Gold Curious Metallic using the Hero Arts Martini Fancy Die. I made it into a shaker and added some Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequin Mix for my bling. The greeting is from the December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from another piece of Super Gold and two pieces of Black 110lb. The are adhered together with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All that was left to do was to add the martini glass and greeting to the card! What a fun party invitation this would make, especially for New Year’s! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Girl’s Night Out Challenge! There is lots more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and take a look! We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have an amazing Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 369

A very good Monday to you all! I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your weekend! I had a nice Sunday despite the gloomy weather which has continued today. Some cleaning was done in the morning and then a few errands. I finished off the day by heading over to Jim’s and finishing up a few projects, we hung the TV on the wall and I set up a new router to make the internet a little better and much faster! This morning I have a lot of stuff to get done for the Fundraiser this Sunday. The weather definitely makes it a good day to sit in front of the computer! πŸ˜€

To start off the week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I have had the Sunny Studios Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set since last year and I never had the chance to use it so I decided that it was high time that it saw some ink! I started by stamping the bells in Hippo and Black Licorice for the first two layers using my Mini MISTI. For the third layer I heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the greeting in Black Licorice and the pine branches in Noble Fir, JalapeΓ±o and Freshly Cut Grass. The bells are adhered to the card and the hooks are stamped in Black Licorice and that completes the card! I do love a layering set and this one is definitely going to be a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks so much for staring another week off with me! Enjoy your Monday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 123 – A Sketch!

It’s definitely feeling more Fall like here and I’m already not a fan! Yesterday I did a few things around the house early and then went over and ran a few errands for Heather. I picked up lunch on the way back. After that it was back home to do a few more things. Taylor stopped by after dinner and that was my day. I have a few phone calls to make this morning and some other things to catch up on, always something to do! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

A nice simple birthday card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities – Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. For the wreath I used the die from the September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Nobel Fir and Super Gold Curious Metallic. They are adhered to a strip of 29lb Vellum that I flagged the bottom of with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on another piece of Noble Fir. I cut the ends at an angle and adhered it to the Vellum and wreaths with 3M Foam Tape. A few dots of Multi-Matte Medium adhered the Vellum and wreaths to the card. A nice simple masculine Birthday card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great inspiration for you over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 368

Hi there my friends and a happy Monday to you from rainy Long Island! I had a very nice weekend starting on Friday by picking up Jim’s new couch and setting it up in his den. Saturday he came by and we worked on the kitchen cabinets. It’s a lot more work than I originally anticipated but he was a huge help and we got a lot done! Still a lot more to go but we’ll get there! Yesterday was rainy and windy, one of those sit on the couch and watch TV kind of days. This morning I’ll be heading over to see Heather for a bit, can’t wait to get out of the house! LOL! πŸ˜€

I got up this morning and made my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I went down the first column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tropical Sea cut to 4″ wide. I stamped the dots from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set In Yeti Ink. The tree is cut from Silver Glitter Card using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum. I adhered the tree to the background and then the Vellum around the back before adding it to my card base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card! Teal and Silver make a pretty nice holiday combo and I love that big sparkly tree! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for staring your week off here with me! Have an awesome Monday! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 124

And we have made it to FRIDAY! It is definitely Fall like here this morning with temps in the 40’s! That’s a little too chilly for me. It might be time to put the shorts away. πŸ™ I spent the day yesterday running errands and getting a few things checked off my to-do list. Jim came by after work and we had a little Chinese for dinner and watched some more Ozark. I also stopped by Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday with her and Stephanie. This morning I have a lot of administrative stuff to get done and I’m trying to firm up plans for the weekend! What are you going to be up to? πŸ˜€

I’m sharing my Design Team card with you for this week’s Fab Friday challenge today…

I used a new to me set from Hero Arts, the Color Layering Cool Fox Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I stamped one of the foxes in Pumpkin Pie and Orange Soda and the other one in Pumpkin Pie and Mulled Wine using black on both for the legs and face all with my Mini MISTI. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock is stamped with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background in Soft Pool. I stamped the greeting from the set in Black and adhered the foxes with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! It’s amazing how detailed and realistic the color layering stamps are! Those are some great looking foxes! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! There is more for you to see over on the BLOG and we want you to share your card with us in the gallery! Thank for your visit today! Have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 310

Another somewhat gloomy fall like day yesterday. I worked on a bunch of projects in the morning and squeezed in a little TV too. Last night I went over to Jim’s and we met up with Laura and Michelle and went over to the venue for the fundraiser to check out and brainstorm a few ideas. After that we went and had dinner, it’s nice to get to meet really nice people and Laura and Michelle are just that! This morning I have some projects to complete and then who know what I’ll be up to later! πŸ˜€

Today I have a card to share with you for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I’m really loving that Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Stamp! I used Black Licorice and my Mini MISTI to stamp the background and then filled the images in withΒ JalapeΓ±o, Noble Fir, Merman, Peacock and Sunflower. There are two flower clusters on the background that you can cut out with the Coordinating Dies, I cut one of them out. Then I trimmed the leftover and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Peacock. I added that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The cut out flower cluster is then adhered with 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! I’m having so much fun with that background that I left it in my MISTI so I can stamp a few more later! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your Thursday everyone! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 122 – Product Feature!

A rainy dreary Tuesday here on Long Island. It was such a nice day yesterday. I made sure that I spent a lot of time outside, especially since I knew it was going to be nasty today. My list of things to do didn’t get much checked off but that’s what today is for. I had a quiet evening, Taylor stopped by for a bit and then I watched TV. I have to find another book to read so I’ll give that a little effort this morning. I’m feeling a little dreary myself! Why does the weather have such an effect on us?! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

We figured that we would try something new so we are featuring using a product and that product is Washi Tape. I know that I have way too much of it and don’t use it nearly enough! I’m sure that some of you out there are in the same boat! My card is very simple, I stamped the images from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Solar White 80lb and colored them in with my Copics. The Coordinating Frame Cuts cut them out. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of Washi Tape across the lower half and then stamped the mountains. The tree and house are adhered with 3M Foam Tape and the greeting is stamped under and to the right of the Washi. Like I said very simple! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! The rest of Team has some great inspiration for you over on the BLOG and we hope that you share your creation with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming by! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚
