Paper Players 367

Hello! I hope that you all had a nice weekend! Mine was great! Saturday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some projects, fishing the last of the chairs and putting legs on the end table that we made, along with a few others. I had to go and pick up Taylor from the train around midnight, she said that she had a wonderful time in Massachusetts and can’t wait to go back! Yesterday I did a little cleaning and then Jim stopped by in the evening for a bit and we watched some more of Ozark. This morning I’m playing catch up on a few things, it’s a Monday for sure! πŸ˜€

I’m staring the week off with my card for the Paper Players challenge! But before I get to that I want to thank Laurie for choosing me as her headliner for last week’s challenge! You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE. Now for this week they have a sketch…

Hero Arts had a little sale last week and I couldn’t resist! Sometimes I have the idea for the card in my little brain and this is what my desk looked like when I started my card…

To start I stamped the squirrel from the Hero Arts Color Layering Squirrel Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement, Soft Granite and Charcoal using my Mini MISTI. The peanut is stamped in Wet Cement and Cup O Joe. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. Next I used my Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp to stamp a piece of Desert Storm 80lb in Wet Cement, a piece of Smoky Slate with Soft Granite and a piece of Basic Gray with Charcoal. The Desert Storm piece is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I flagged the end of the Smoky Slate piece and added that and then heat embossed a greeting from the set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Basic Gray piece and added that. My squirrel and peanuts are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! I love that squirrel! I think this would make a fun masculine card, maybe even for a birthday! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for beginning another week with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 309

I don’t think that the internet is enjoying the shift to cooler weather, it’s painfully slow here lately! I did had a very productive day yesterday despite my little three hour trip into Manhattan to drop off Taylor. She was little anxious but after 6 hours of travel she made it safely to her destination. We also finally got one of the contractors to send an estimate for the work on Jim’s PA house. Things move at a very different pace up there! This morning I’m going to try and check a few more things off my to-do list and then Jim will be by later for dinner! πŸ˜€

My little bit of craftiness yielded my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge…

To start my card I stamped the large flower from the Concord & 9th Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Fresh Lavender and Sugarplum using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp. The flower is cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock trimmed to 4″ wide I adhered a strip of Gold Mirror Card and then the flower. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto 65lb Vellum. I used the squashed hexagon die from the Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Dies to cut out the greeting. The right edge is folded over and adhered to the inside of the card with a few dots of Multi-Matte Medium behind the heat embossing to keep it in place. A simple card with that awesome huge flower! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks so much for coming by! Have an interesting Thursday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 121 – Tic-Tac-Toe

A crisp good morning to you! We got a taste of Fall last night with temps in 40’s! I’ll take Summer back now thanks! I had a pretty productive morning yesterday which is always a good way to start the day! In the afternoon I got a text from Heather that one of her cats got out so me, Kim, Stephanie and George spent a few hours combing the neighborhood. They eventually found the cat and are going to get a GPS collar for her, she gets out a lot! I went back over to Heather’s later and we ran a few errands. My evening was finished off with a little TV. This morning I have a bunch of things to get to and some cleaning to do around the house. πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right on the Tic-Tac-Toe board. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock has the front covered in a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Essentials – Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. I heat embossed a flower and two leaves from the Essentials by Ellen Bold Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White and Copper Embossing Powder onto some 65lb Vellum. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut them out. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the woodgrain paper. The leaves are adhered with E-Z Runner and the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Copper Sequins completes the card. I love the nice pop of white against the dark woodgrain! The card would work well for a wedding, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! There are some more great cards over on the BLOG so be sure to stop by and take a look! We hope that you will share your take in the gallery with us! Thanks for coming by today! Have an amazing Tuesday! πŸ™‚

A good Monday to you my friends! I had a very nice weekend! I was over Jim’s on Saturday working on some more projects that I’m happy to say we got them finished! Saturday night we went over and had dinner with Kim. So nice to get to see her, it’s been way too long. Yesterday I had a lazy day, it was rainy so I watched some more of the Arrow on Netflix. This morning I’m going to get stuff done! Have to make up for yesterday! How was your weekend?! πŸ˜€

I’m starting the week off with my card for the Paper Players challenge…

Paper Craft Crew 263

Another fun filled day! I took my Dad to the Doctor and we were there for three hours!! That’s just crazy! Most of the time was spent just sitting there. Nah, neither one of us had anything else to do, not to worry! LOL! Heather and I did a quick BJ’s run when she got home from work and then Taylor came by for some video watching. So good to spend quality time with the child! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Ella and maybe meet Kim for lunch. Now that’s a better day! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I have been so loving the super simple cards lately, not for any other reason than I love all of the white space. Onto my card Base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the stars from the Hero Arts Merry Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lime Green, Soft Lilac and Soft Pink. The Merry is cut out with the die from the set from a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All that was left to do was stamp the Christmas in Black! Super simple and fun to make, also highly mailable. Hmm… I may have just found this year’s Christmas Card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 120 – Colors!

A rainy day here yesterday. I had to take Mum to the dentist in the morning and then Jim came by for a while. We ran to Target and got all caught up. After dinner Taylor stopped by, oh how I love my child! She spent most of the time here watching YouTube videos on her phone! I have some places to take my Parents today and some cleaning to do, a fun Tuesday! LOL! πŸ˜€

It is time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and that’s always fun…

A timely trio of colors! I love to make a card with a stamped background and the best sets to do that with are the ones with little images. I used the Hero Arts Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set with Black, Orange Soda and Lime Green Ink to stamp my images directly onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is also from that set and is cut from a piece of Black 110lb and Silver Glitter Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere them to the card, slightly offset, and it’s finished! A fun and simple Halloween card, maybe for my little buddy Daniel! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! The BLOG has some more inspiration from the rest of the Team so be sure to check it out! We hope that you will play along and share your card with us in the gallery! I even got to do some fun stuff yesterday! In the morning I took a ride into Manhattan with Heather to drop her brother off at Comic-Con. After that I went with her to look at some used cars, she is trying to find one for her brother. Boy is there a lot of garbage out there! LOL! What are you up to?

Grateful Amethyst Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Happy Thursday peeps! I had a nice day yesterday with Sue. We got a lot accomplished and went out and had a nice lunch. There is always more to do so I’ll be heading back over again some time next week, I do love a productive day! Taylor stopped by in the evening and we had dinner with my Parents and after that some TV, binge watching Arrow at the moment and really liking it! Today I’ll catch up on This is Us and maybe I’ll get to some of the cabinet doors! πŸ˜€

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! We featured and Ink Only Challenge for last month so I did a little ink blending on today’s card! One of my all time favorite images is the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I used the Coordinating Die to cut out the negative from a piece of Masking Paper and used my Mini Ink Blending Tools and some Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Dusty Concord Distress Ink to color it in. After I removed the Mask I added the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine is spattered over the card and while that dried I cut out the grateful from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I love the purple and blue hues in the gold leaf and never underestimate the effect of a little ink spatter!

I hope that you like the card for my October Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us onΒ InstagramΒ andΒ Facebook! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 262

Hey there! I had a very quiet day yesterday. Not my favorite kind of day but I guess they are necessary every once in a while. Other than some TV and a little work on the computer not much else happened. This morning I’m off to see Sue again for some Etsy work, that is always productive and fun! πŸ˜€

It’s mid-week and time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose the row across the middle for my card and decided to use some of the leftovers on my desk to make it! I always stamp some extra when I make something in the hopes that I will use it and today I got to! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide. My background is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background onto with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The pumpkin is from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit and is stamped in Orange Soda, Tangerine, Pumpkin Pie, Cup O Joe, Green Fields and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out and adhered it to a tag that is cut out with the Hero Arts Nested Tags Infinity Dies from another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. There is a little strip of Washi Tape across the bottom of the tag a piece of Natural Twine is tied through the top. My greeting is stamped in Pumpkin Pie with a few My Mind’s Eye Wicked Enamel Dots added. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and added a little Multi-Matte Medium to hold the twine in place. Love the bright pop of the orange pumpkin against the kraft! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚
