SIP Challenge 116 – CAS Fall!

I started my day off yesterday with a lengthy trip to the DMV to renew my License. I guess it wasn’t too bad, an hour and a half, it definitely could have been longer. I have had the pleasure of sitting there for over three hours on other occasions! I did manage to make the girl that waited on me laugh so it was time well spent! LOL! After that I came home and cleaned a little and then set out working on a friends computer. The hard drive failed and needed to be replaced. It took it apart and then tried to find the drive that I needed. They had one at Micro Center so Taylor and I took a ride over there and they she wanted to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods. I put the new drive in and put the computer back together and then ran over to see Heather for a little bit. We watched Pretty Woman, I still love that movie! This morning I don’t know what I will do, it’s my Birthday so maybe nothing! πŸ˜€

It’s also Tuesday and time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I do love Clean and Simple and I went really CAS on this one! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the leaf from the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink with my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp it. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the darker red from the same pad. I added the dots with my Stylus and the Ombre Pad too. I’m a little obsessed with those dots lately, you can blame Jennifer McGuire for that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper CAS Fall Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great cards for you to use to inspire you over on the BLOG! We hope to see your card in gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have Happy Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Smiley Thank You

Hi friends! I had a nice quiet day yesterday apart from running over to Jim’s for a little bit. Didn’t really do much of anything in particular. Today I’ll make up for that! And the rest of this week it’s all about that kitchen!

I have a nice simple card to share with you today. I took out one of my favorite My Monthly Hero Kits and stamped the smiley face in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb along with some hearts in Red Royal. They smiley faces are colored in with a Copic and I used a stylus once again with Butter Bar Ink to add some little dots. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My thank you is cut from Black 110lb with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. That’s it! Nice and simple for when you need a fun thank you card quick! I hope that you like today’s easy card! Thank you for visiting and enjoy your Sunday! πŸ™‚

Dreaming Sheep

Happy Friday!! It’s a little on the crisp side here this morning but that’s ok, wakes you up! I started work on the cabinets yesterday after spending the morning with Heather. I found that using the heat gun to remove the paint worked pretty well. I also found that getting the doors off was harder than stripping the paint! The screws are painted over, not fun! I finished off the evening with a nice Thirsty Thursday and helped George with some computer stuff before coming home. And just so you know after a year my friend Sam Smith has released a new single! Go and have a listen, it’s great! πŸ˜€

My card for today is really simple! I was looking at the August 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and spotted a sheep in the set that I hadn’t seen before! I stamped the sheep three times in Hero Arts Black Ink onto some Solar White 110lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped my greeting and then added the sheep around it with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! Like I said super simple but a nice way to let someone that you love know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have yourselves a fun filled Friday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 258… Again! & Etsy!

Hello my friends! I finished taking down the wallpaper border in the kitchen yesterday. Stephanie stopped by and dropped off some heavy duty remover for the stubborn glue that wouldn’t come off and she hung out for a bit. I would like it if someone would be kind enough to send some paint stripping gnomes to help get the paint off of the cabinets! There are probably about 5 layers on there, not going to be a fun process at all! It’s supposed to rain today so I probably won’t get to start it until tomorrow, gives me time to mentally prepare myself! LOL! πŸ˜€

I promised a few weeks ago that I would let you know when all of my purge goodies were up on my friend’s Etsy Store and today is the day! There are over 150 new sets, some brand new and some gently used all up to 50% off retail! Head on over by clicking HERE and check everything out!

So last week I inadvertently posted my card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge and it wasn’t really supposed to go up until this week. I made a new card so you get a twofer! Here is the sketch once again…

I used the May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit to create today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party, on the bottom portion I used the Stencil from the Kit and some Tide Pool Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Across the panel is a piece of Calypso Coral that is flagged on the right along with some coral cut out using a Die from the Kit. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them in with my Copics and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered wth 3D Foam Squares to a piece of 65lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and that is then adhered to the background. I stamped the greeting from the Kit and then adhered to the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I do think that the mermaid and the stencil are quite fun, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Pearlescent Pineapple – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with post number two for today! It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. Be sure and stop by there too!

The card that I created uses the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. To color in the image I used my FineTec Pearl Watercolors and an Aquawash Brush. After it dried I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out along with the greeting that is heat embossed onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The pineapple and greeting are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with another piece of White Gold Metallic that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers 3D Woven Embossing Folder. I do love the Pearl Watercolors, so nice and subtle. The pictures doesn’t do them justice, they look so much better in real life!

SIP Challenge 115 – Colors!

One day back and I miss the lake! LOL! I did have a nice day, did some cleaning in the morning and then decided that I couldn’t stand looking at the hideous wallpaper border around the soffit in my kitchen so I started to take that down. Wallpaper is annoying! This then spiraled into me thinking about repainting the cabinets, they are a hideous peach color right now… don’t ask! I’ll take some before pictures and then when it’s all finished I’ll post the final results. It will be a while, I don’t want to rush through it and I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the layers of paint off of the cabinets!! πŸ˜€

Today is Tuesday even though because of the Holiday it feels like a Monday! That means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

For some reason I had it in my head that I wanted to use one of the fairies from last year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit so I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her in with Copics. She is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The trail of stars and the greeting are from this year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the stars in Butter Bar and the greeting in Tide Pool right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The fairy is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Platinum Sequins complete the card! I do love that little fairy especially with the trail of stars behind her! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Go and see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Grateful Pinecone Wreath

Good morning my peeps! Hope everyone had an amazing day yesterday along with me! My apartment is finally the way I wanted when I set out on this mission, beautiful and spacious! LOL! Who knew a little purging could make such a big difference?! I spent a little time outside yesterday too, having some coffee and reading the news in the beautiful weather! No more rain here today! I went out and got some shelves to finish up a few last minute organization projects, and I think they’re going to work perfectly! I just have to find a little more time to stain them! I also want to let you guys know that this weekend I will be out of town. I’m taking a little last minute trip up to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Jim at his cabin and enjoy the lake! There will be no post on Saturday or Sunday, but I will return to my regular posting on Monday! πŸ˜€

Lets jump into the card! For my base I used my trusty Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a piece of Desert Storm and attached it with the E-Z Runner to the card base. I then ink blended the die cuts from the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and clustered them together. They are attached the with a little Multi-Matte Medium and some 3D Foam Squares to give the smaller pieces a little dimension on the wreath that is die cut from some Chocolate Chip twice. Then, I took my Just Rust ink and stamped my “grateful” from the September My Monthly Hero Kit right onto the background paper. I hope you all enjoy my attempt to embrace the forthcoming cooler weather with this fall themed card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I’ll be back tomorrow with a post for Concord & 9th! Enjoy your Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 258

It was overcast here all morning and then the rain started around 2:00. I went over to Heather’s and we ran some errands, had a little lunch and then did an early Thirsty Thursday last night with Stephanie. Not bad for a rainy Tuesday! I’ll get back to my cleaning and purging this morning. I can’t seem to stop which is a good thing! πŸ˜€

For our mid-week fun I have my Paper Craft Crew card…

Maybe it was the gloom and chill yesterday but I felt compelled to make a winter card. LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of paper from the Trim Craft Silent Night 6×6 Paper Pad with a piece of Soft Sky across the bottom and then a flagged piece of Smoky Slate along the center. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’Mitten Stamp & Cut and they are stamped in Soft Granite and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the Snow Day and Mittens with 3D Foam Squares with a little Silver Thread behind. Five Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card. I’m not looking forward to the colder weather but I do love me some winter colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Cherry on Top

The weekend kinda snuck up on me! LOL! I did have a nice day yesterday, got some more purging done. I know you are thinking boy he must have a lot of crap and yes, you would be correct! LOL! I also ran to BJ’s with Heather and Steph in the afternoon and had a little dinner with my Parents. Today I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Kim. I haven’t been to the city in forever! It will be good to be back in! πŸ˜€

I had so much fun paying with the Concord & 9th Here’s the Scoop Set yesterday that I made another card using it today! I stamped the sundae onto a piece pf Solar White 80lb Card Stock and used my Copics to color it in. The Coordinating Die cut it out. I wanted to put some Clear Heat Embossing onto the bowl and cherry so I used a Versa-Marker and some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder for that. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped the greetings from the same set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI. Love the bottom greeting and the clever little you with the arrow pointing to the cherry! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a superb Saturday! πŸ™‚

Stars Love Galaxy

I had an actual lazy Sunday! I stayed in bed late, didn’t really do much of anything but watch TV. Taylor came by for a little while after she got off of work. I did make a card for today and that was my day. Today I will be spending lots of time in front of the computer, my to-do list just keeps getting longer! πŸ˜€

I felt like doing a little ink blending yesterday and thats where this card started. I did that ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with Hero Arts Navy, Grape Juice and Charcoal Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spattered with Heidi Swapp White and Tinsel Color Shine and dried with my Heat Tool. I used the Hero Arts Milky Way Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Shadow Curious Metallic Card Stock and as I was taking out the middle I thought that it would actually look pretty cool on the card instead of the outside. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the die cut and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For some sparkly stars I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and that finished the card. I actually do love the inside of the die cut galaxy. It looks like a swirly space oddity! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! πŸ™‚
