Well, that was avery long but fun day in Manhattan! I took the 7:01 train out of Bethpage and got into Penn Station around 8:00, late as usual. I headed over to Isabella’s and spent the morning with her, always a good time. Her brother is staying with her so I got to meet him, very nice guy. Around 1:00 I headed down to meet Kim for lunch. We went to this little place by her office and I had a delicious sandwich with grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce and olive oil. From there I went over to visit with my friend Barbara, the guy at the front desk in her building called up and said that she wasn’t there so I sat in the lobby. Around 4:25 I got a message from her asking if I got stuck somewhere and I said that I had been in the lobby since 3:50. She came down and got me and had a word with the guy at the front desk! We had a nice visit and are going to have lunch in January. After I left there I headed down to The Ink Pad to get ready for my Tags class. One of Michael’s friends from Brasil is in Manhattan and she came to the class. We had a nice time as always. Here is a picture of the happy class working on their tags…
And here is a picture of Carol and I…
After class Carol waited with me because she was going the same way as I was so we took the Subway together and I made sure that she headed in the right direction back to her hotel. I made the train at Penn by 1 minute only the get home late because the were delays due to an unauthorized vehicle on the track in New Hyde Park. I finally got home around 11:00, had a cup of coffee and went to bed!
Thankfully I had made my card for today’s post on Monday night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…
Traditional Christmas colors! My card starts with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the front with the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. Down the right side is a thin strip of Cherry Cobbler. Across the bottom is a piece of The Paper Cut Ice Gold Curious Metallic that I cut with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills Craft Dies. My greeting and trees are from the Hero Arts Joy to the World Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the greeting in Cherry Cobbler and then adhered the slope to the card with Foam Tape. The trees are heat embossed with more Silver Pearl on Mossy Meadow and cut out with my Paper Snips. The tree trunks are Soft Suede and they and the middle tree are adhered to the card with SNAIL. The other two tress are adhered with Foam Tape and that’s my card done! I love that Silver Pearl Embossing Powder, so subtle yet neat! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I’ll have the tags that we made in class for you tomorrow! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂
