Merry Christmas! & Sneak Peek!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you are having a nice day with your family and friends! I still have some cards to make so I better get to it! In the mean time here is my card for today. It’s my Christmas card to all of you! The base of the card is Raspberry Ripple Card Stock. I rounded the corners with the 1″ Circle Punch on the base and the background layer. The background is Very Vanilla and I used the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the outline of the ornament. The greeting is from the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple, it’s mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flagged piece of paper is from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack*. I stamped an image from the Mixed Medley Host(ess) Stamp Set in Raspberry Ripple and punched it out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. I used one of the new Designer Builder Brads* on top and the image under the bubble is from the Itty Bitties Stamp Set*, punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and too is stamped in Raspberry Ripple. The ornament is from the Keepsake Ornaments Stamp Set and again is stamped in Raspberry Ripple, cut out with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the simple elegance and the new Print Poetry DSP Stack coordinates well with the Ornament Keepsakes Set. I hope that you enjoyed your Christmas card and that you have a very happy day! Thanks for visiting!

Sahara Burgundy Sleigh Flurry

Ahh… Monday… but it’s Christmas Eve! Are you all finished with your shopping or are you like me who will be stopping by Target later?! I got most of the last of my Christmas cards made yesterday. I still have some stuff to do but I’m hoping that I can get it finished tonight. Today’s post is a card that I sent to a friend. She sent me a lovely card so I wanted to return the favor. The base of the card is Sahara Sand and I stamped it with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Sahara Sand. Down the right side is a piece of Bravo Burgundy, the one side is cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies, and a strip of Brushed Gold Card Stock is adhered on top. The image and greetings are from the Open Sleigh Stamp Set and are all stamped in Bravo Burgundy. I cut the sleigh out with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Behind it is a another piece of Brushed Gold Card Stock that I cut out with the Snow Flurry Bigz Die. I love the color combination and the vintage feel of the stamp set. I hope that she enjoyed the card and that you like it too. Thank you for spending a little of your time with me. I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas Eve! All of your comments are the best Christmas present I could ever get! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches #66 & Sneak Peek!

Good day to you all! What’s the best part about today… it’s FRIDAY! TGIF! This has been a long week and I’m so glad that the weekend is here. Well, assuming that the world doesn’t end today… which would be a bit of a bummer don’t you think?! It is very windy and rainy outside this morning but I think we’ll be ok. I still have more goodies to play with! 🙂

Today’s post is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches. This week we have a nice sketch from Tui…

Freshly Made Sketches #66

My card for the sketch is chock full of new goodies from the 2013 Spring Catalog. The base of the card is Pink Pirouette Card Stock. For the strip across the lower half of the card I embossed a piece of Primrose Petals with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. The piece of paper and the large Real Red heart are from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack*. I adhered the rectangle of DSP to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the heart is adhered with SNAIL. The two hearts on top of that are form the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set*. The the larger doily like heart is stamped in Primrose Petals on Very Vanilla and the smaller heart is stamped in Real Red. Both of them are cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies*. The greeting is from the Cross My Heart Stamp Set* and is stamped in Pool Party. I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and the Owl Builder Punch and some Red Glimmer Paper provide the little heart in the middle. With all of the hearts on this card does’t it just whisper sweet love?!?! LOL! I think that my new favorite color combo is Pool Party and Primrose Petals, don’t they look great together? I hope that you enjoyed my Freshly Made Sketches card for this week. Thank you all so very much for visiting me and for your comments. Have yourselves a stupendous Friday!

Paper Players 126 & News!

Ahh… Monday… back again I see! How was your weekend? Mine was GREAT! I got most of my to do list accomplished and had so much fun at my two parties. Just when I thought that it couldn’t get any better I got some exciting news! I will be a Guest Designer on the Paper Players Challenge for the next six months starting in January! WOW! I’m a huge fan of the talented group of ladies and am honored to be with them. I can’t wait to get started. How fitting that today is my post for this week’s challenge!

This week’s challenge will last for two weeks and Ann has given us a Clean & Simple Challenge with snowflakes…

Paper Players #126

I love snowflakes, just as long as they are on a card and not floating through the air! My card starts off with a base of Not Quite Navy Card Stock. For the Whisper White panel I started by punching a hole in the upper left with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. I cut out a piece of Window Sheet and adhered it to the back over the hole. The stamped snowflakes and greeting are from the Snow Swirled Stamp Set and are stamped in Not Quite Navy. All of the snowflake images have a Basic Jewel Rhinestone in the center of them. The snowflake on the Window Sheet is created but cutting out some Silver Glimmer Paper with the Snow Flurry Bigz Die. I adhered the two parts together and to the Window Sheet with some Mini Glue Dots.  The panel is then adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the simple elegance of the card and the shadow that the Silver Glimmer Paper snowflake casts on the card base. I hope you enjoyed my Paper Players Challenge card for this week. Thank you for checking in with me and I hope that you have a good Monday! 🙂

Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge 230 & Sneak Peek

Woo hoo! It’s Friday! I’m always doing the happy dance on Friday! Last night I made some Hummus and some Fudge. I know what you are thinking… what an odd combination. Well, if you ate them together I would think it would be a little nasty. The hummus is the appetizer and the fudge (if it makes it through today) is for desert. I have sampled both and they are good but I am wanting some more of the fudge! 🙂

Today’s post is from this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a color challenge…

CCMC 230

A very simple color combination and one with a little bling! The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used the new Ovals Collection Framelits Dies* to cut out a two pieces of Very Vanilla, one with the scalloped edge, and two pieces of Champagne Glimmer Paper. All of the pieces of Very Vanilla are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Glimmer Paper is adhered with SNAIL. The Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack* and Paper-Piercing Tool are used to piece around the edges of the Very Vanilla pieces. I stamped the Merry Christmas from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler and flagged the ends. For the piercing on that I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack. Even with all of it’s layers and glitz it was a very simple card to make. I have to remember to order some Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, the Merry Christmas would have looked rich in that. Did you enjoy today’s sneak peek? What has been you favorite peek so far? Let me know by leaving a comment. I hope that you liked this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches #65 & Sneak Peek

Good morning everyone! How are we all doing on this fine Thursday? I’m getting better and that’s because we are approaching Friday! I have two Holiday parties this weekend, one on Friday night and one on Saturday night and I’m looking forward to them both. I’m also continuing on with my Spring Catalog sneak peeks for you. Today’s card features products from the 2013 Spring Catalog that you can order from on January 3rd.

For this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge Linda C. has given us this very nice sketch to work with…

Freshly Made Sketches #65

Nice and simple and I kept my card the same. The base of my card is Primrose Petals Card Stock, for the background I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* (fast becoming a favorite!). After I embossed it I thought what better to put in a honeycomb than some bees! The bees are from the Collage Curios Stamp Set* and are stamped in Summer Starfruit. The two hearts are form the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set. The lager one is stamped tone-on-tone with Summer Starfruit and the smaller one is stamped in Primrose Petals on Very Vanilla. Both are cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies*. The are mounted to one another and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Take a Ticket Stamp Set* and is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. What do you think of the color combo? I’m really liking the two together broken up by some Very Vanilla. I hope that you are enjoying your new catalog sneak peeks and that you like my Freshly Made Sketches card for this week’s challenge. I always appreciate your stopping by and your comments. Here’s to hoping that you have a very nice day! 🙂

Paper Players #125 & Sneak Peek

And into another week we go! Happy Monday! I have a ton of stuff to do this week and I’m hoping to get to all of it. Isn’t it funny how busy the Holidays really are?! Is everything kicking into high gear for you too? I spent the afternoon in Manhattan yesterday seeing some friends and it was rainy but for some reason I don’t really mind it when I’m in the city.

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players. Nance has given us a color challenge…

Paper Players #125

Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler make for a nice color combo when paired with a neutral don’t you think? The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I took a piece of Pool Party and stamped it with the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set in Pool Party for a frosty tone-on-tone effect. The new punch and stamp set from Sale-A-Bration are used to make the backgrounds for the ornaments. I stamped the images from the Pretty Petites Stamp Set** in Cherry Cobbler and punched them out with the Petite Curly Label Punch**. The ornaments are from the Merry Minis Stamp set and are Stamped in Pool Party and punched out with the Merry Minis Punch Pack. Both are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I used a piece of Cherry Cobbler to back it and that too is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really do like the colors together and the simplicity of the card is fun too. I hope that you enjoyed you little sneak peek and my Paper Players Challenge card for this week. Thank you very much for your visit and I hope that you have a good Monday!

Create with Connie and Mary 229

Good morning everyone! Yeah, it’s Friday! My favorite day of the week. What do you all have planned for this weekend? I have a ton of crafting to do, still want to get my Christmas cards out this weekend. I’m off to Manhattan on Sunday to see some peeps and feed the frog. Fingers crossed that I get it all done! 🙂

Today’s post is for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary. I’m not gonna lie, it was little weird not posting on Wednesday night. It’s my first week back as a player and we have a fun funky sketch to work with…

CCMC 229

I wanted to do something monochromatic so I went with Cherry Cobbler as my main color. And to that the base of the card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. For the background I stamped a piece of Very Vanilla with the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler in a pattern to make my own Designer Series Paper! I used two pieces of paper from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack for the strips across the lower half of the card. The ornament is from the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and punched out with the Ornament Punch. I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set and punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. Both are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ornament gets a heavy dose of bling from some Basic Jewels Rhinestones. I’m really happy with the way the card turned out and I love the Snowflake Soiree background. I hope that you enjoyed and are a little inspired by my Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge card for this week. Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you have an awesome Friday!

Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Bog Hop!

Blog Hop Badges December 2012

Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop. Most likely you have arrived here from Terry Blais’ Blog, didn’t she have some great projects?! This is my first time out with these talented ladies and I hope that you enjoy my projects. This month we have a holiday theme and I have a card and a 3D project for you today.

First up is the card that I CASE’d it from Stampin’ Success. The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the More Merry Messages Stamp Set in Early Espresso. The border that is stamped across the bottom in Crumb Cake is from the Make a Mitten Stamp Set. All of the paper is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series paper Stack, cut into strips and some ends are flagged. The mittens are punched out from Island Indigo and Cherry Cobbler with the Mitten Builder Punch. The reindeer are from the Make a Mitten Set and are stamped in Early Espresso. I really like the simplicity of the card and it’s a great way to use some of your scraps of DSP.

IMG_2061

Next up we have the 3D project. I was in one of the local craft stores and I saw this small printer’s tray. I thought it would be great to fill with some Stampin’ Up! goodies to make a little Christmas display. All of the interior of the tray is lined with Crumb Cake Card Stock that I embossed with the Chevron Textured impressions Embossing Folder. They are adhered to the inside with Sticky Strip. The gingerbread men and the mug are from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set and are stamped in Soft Suede and Island Indigo. I cut them out with the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies and adhered them with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. In the other side we have a piece of Island Indigo that I punched the edge with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. A piece of Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. I punched a piece of Soft Suede with the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and embossed it with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A set of mittens in Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple are punched out with the Mitten Builder Punch and the reindeer is from the Make a Mitten Stamp Set and is stamped in Early Espresso. They are all adhered together and the the tray with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is form the More Merry Messages and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple on Very Vanilla and the corners rounded with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. I backed it with a piece of Raspberry Ripple and adhered it with some more Stmapin’ Dimensionals. I love this and will definitely make some more to give as gifts. How cute would this be hanging up for the holidays?!

Mojo 270

Hello peeps! How are we all doing today? I’m pretty good, just beginning to muddle through the week. I have some fun news to share with you today. Have you seen the gorgeous ornament on the front of the Holiday Catalog… of course you have! Well, I love it but it takes more than a few runs through the Big Shot to make the pieces to put it together. So here is the fun news part. Someone that is very intelligent at the Stampin’ Up! home office has decided to sell the ornament as a kit! That’s right! You can purchase the kit with enough supplies to make 10, yes 10 of those beautiful ornaments! Here are the specifics:

Ornamental_Elegance_Banner(1)

Create 10 heirloom ornaments–or stunning tags to attach to a special gift.

The Ornamental Elegance Kit (132832) is $14.95 and includes:

  • Die-Cut Cardstock Elements
  • Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2″ Scalloped Tulle Ribbon
  • Natural Linen Thread
  • Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
  • Large Pearl Basic Jewels

Now that is a great idea! Click here to go and order one or a few and get them in plenty of time to make for the holidays!

Told you that was some fun news! Now for today’s post which is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This week have a nice simple sketch from Carole Burrage…

Mojo270

I was thinking of replacing the hearts with some ornaments but I decided to keep them. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock and to that I have added a piece from the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Stack. I used the Large Scallop Edgelit to cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and adhered a piece of Crumb Cake to it. Some Lucky Limeade 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip across the piece of Cherry Cobbler. The greeting is form the More Merry Messages Stamp Set and is stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the edges and adhered it to a piece of Lucky Limeade before adhering it to the card. The two larger hearts are stamped in Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler with stamps from the Joyous Celebrations Stamp Set. I used the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies to cut them out. The smaller heart image is from the Love & Laughter Stamp Set and is stamped in Crumb Cake and punched out with the Small Heart Punch. They are all adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the hearts on the Christmas card a lot more than I thought I would and I’m a big fan of the DSP. I hope that you liked my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Thank for coming and taking a look and I hope that you have a great day!
