Mojo 398

Just as I thought, it was a very busy day at work. Definitely a Monday. It was also really overcast and not that warm either, tomorrow, rain. At least the weekend was nice right?! I was also reminded by Marissa that we are off on Monday! YAY! Three day weekend, one of my favorite kinds of weekends! LOL! After work I came home and made a card and then took a ride with Taylor. We stopped at Target, because you can never go to Target enough, right?! LOL! When I returned home I watched some of the performances from the Billboard Music Awards. I also watched Sam’s acceptance speech done on large cards. A speedy recovery to him, I can’t wait to hear him sing again!

Today, I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I wanted to play with the new colors so I took my inspiration from the NEW Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Bermuda Bay. On the lower part is a piece of that very Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper. I adhered a piece of Bermuda Bay on some Fun Foam across the bottom and on top of that is a piece of Pool Party that I flagged both of the ends on. Across the top of the card are three more flagged pieces of Pool Party, also adhered to Fun Foam. All of the images are from the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set Nature’s Perfection. They are all heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, the butterflies on Crushed Curry and the flower on Watermelon Wonder. Some Foam Tape adheres them to the card. The greeting is from the NEW Host Stamp Set Floral Wings and is stamped in Island Indigo. A few Doodlebug Sequins are adhered to the flower with Crystal Effects and complete the card. I do really like the new 2015-2017 In-Colors, they are a nice mix of bright and subtle! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge! Mojo 397

I’m getting a late start to my Saturday! The past three days have been busy and I guess I needed to recover a bit! It was another beautiful day here yesterday. Marissa and I even snuck out for a little Starbucks in the morning. After work I headed home once again to retrieve Taylor before going to Scrap-A-Latte to get ready for last night’s card class – take two. It was another great class with Reverse Confetti! Lots of fun peeps including Andrew, Brian, Sandy and Dina! We all had a nice time and they again really enjoyed the cards! Here are some pictures from the class…

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I had the urge to use some of the goodies from this year’s Sale-A-Bration, lord knows that I have enough of it left! LOL! My card base is the usual. The background is a piece of Sahara Sand that I cut out with the stitched frame from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Bundle of Shapes Dies. Down the middle is a piece of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. A piece of Ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack goes around the lower half and then the panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles to cut out another piece of the Best Year Ever DSP and some Whisper White. The greeting is from the Best Day Ever Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I flagged a piece of Soft Suede and Crushed Curry and adhered them in the top left. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Espresso Sequins are adhered randomly with some Crystal Effects. I love the soft colors in the DSP and the repeated circles on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Mojo 396

So, it was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday. I may go as far as to say that it was perfect! Temps in the mid 70’s and lots of sun! It did make staying in the office a little more difficult but I took my lunch break and sat outside and FaceTimed with Mr. Trent for a bit. Marissa brought in some chocolate chip mini muffins that had a hint of coconut extract in them, delicious! Michael made a good point, they are mini muffins but then you just eat more of them! It’s true because I had three! The ride home in the car was topless and glorious! I had some dinner and then came home and tried to be crafty but I kept having to go outside. I did finally get my card made for today and I’m really excited to share my Mother’s Day present with you which I will do on Saturday! I love the way that it turned out!

The card that I made in between trips outside is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Ok, so I really am a little obsessed with wedding cards lately, but I think that it’s because I love the Your Perfect Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper. I have always loved Sahara Sand so the paper is perfect! The card base is the usual! I stamped the Something Lacy Background Stamp in Sahara Sand on Whisper White and then cut a piece of Sahara Sand with the bottom right angled to match the sketch and adhered on top of the white. The panel is then mounted to the base with Fun Foam adhered in between. My panel in the middle is a piece of paper from Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper and it’s backed with a piece of Whisper White. The greeting and the wreath are from the aforementioned Your Perfect Day Photopolymer Stamp Set, the wreath is heat embossed on Vellum with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder and the sentiment in the same on Whisper White and then punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. I used some Foam Tape in between each one to adhere them to the card. The flags at the top are the same Something Lacy Background heat embossed with some more Liquid Platinum on Vellum and adhered with Vellum Adhesive. Finally, for a little sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the Platinum Embossing with the Sahara Sand, it gives the card a fun monochromatic look! Mojo 395

And we are coming into the home stretch of the week! It was a beautiful day here yesterday, I snuck outside numerous times! The highlight of the day was riding home in the car with the top down and the music up nice and loud! Well, that and Daniel was at my parents. He just gets cuter every time I see him! My mum said how he wouldn’t give anyone a kiss so I asked him if I could have one and I got one right away! He loves his uncle Justin! We played ball on the front porch for a while and then I came home and Skyped with Andrea for a bit while we crafted. Around 6:30 Anthony and Bill came to pick me up so that we could go and meet Marissa at Friday’s to celebrate Anthony’s birthday. We had a great waiter name Cesar and had a very nice time! I came home and Taylor was watching Wilfred, a very strange show! She has decided that since Taylor Made was taken that she is going to go with Taylored Pieces! Thanks again for all of your suggestions! As soon as she does her first post I’ll let you know!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge and it’s one of my favorites… a Tall & Skinny…

Yes, the card starts off with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. For my background I used some Night of Navy with a strip of paper from the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper. Across the top of the DSP is a piece of Gold 1/8″ Ribbon. My panel is also form the same DSP and is backed with a piece of Bermuda Bay. I heat embossed the candles from the Balloon Bash Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Whisper White and cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. It’s adhered to the card with a combination of SNAIL and Foam Tape. The greeting is stacked on another piece of Whisper White that I cut out with the Banners Framelits and is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Another piece of Foam Tape adheres it to the circle. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are randomly adhered to the circle with Crystal Effects. I do love the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper and hope that we have something similar in the new catalog! I hope that you liked my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Mojo 394

A lovely rainy and foggy day here on Long Island yesterday. It was really windy in the morning but not too cold, it did do the misty rain thing all day though. April showers bring May flowers right?! I did have a good day yesterday. Work was pretty quiet and after I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to hang with Taylor and lock up. I had a little Skype time with Andrea at the store, spoke with Michael, had a quick dinner when I got home and Skyped with Eva too. Tonight I’m back at Scrap-A-Latte for Angie’s Tags class. I’m looking forward to just going there and enjoying creating! I’ll try to take some pictures of the tags that we make and post them tomorrow. As promised, here are some pictures from Friday’s card class!

Today I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge courtesy of the lovely Julee Tilman…

Seeing as the retired list comes out today I thought that maybe I should use up some of the Designer Series Paper that I have been hoarding! LOL! The card base, as usual, is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Basic Gray. My background is a piece of the Back to Black Designer Series Paper and on the right is a piece of Brushed Silver Metallic. A piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. I covered a piece of Basic Black with some Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and adhered that to the background. A piece of Basic Gray is embossed with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting and feathers are from the A Happy Hooray Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Encore Silver Metallic on Basic Black and punched out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. It’s adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The feathers are heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black and cut out with my Paper Snips. Some SNAIL Holds them in place. A few Simon Says Stamp Sparkle & Shine Sequins complete the card. I love all of the silver and gray tones on the card and the feathers are still one of my faves! Mojo 393

How was your Monday? Mine was pretty good. It was a nice sunny day and in the 60’s! Today it’s going to rain and will do that for the next few days. Just a taste, that’s all we get! My parents went to pick up my brother, Erika and Daniel from the airport yesterday! He was extra adorable, I guess because I missed the little guy so much! They said that the weather was perfect while they were there and that he was really well behaved on the flight home too! Here he is feeding some Koi, he loved that they all came right over to him!

After I got in some Daniel time Heather came over and her, Taylor and I went over to see Sandy for a bit. It was a get together of all of the old stamp class alumni! It was good to see everyone again and I told them about the card classes at Scrap-A-Latte. We stopped at Target on the way home to pick up a few odds and ends. We got home a little later that I wanted to so I popped into the Stampin’ Galley to make my card for today. Not a bad Monday at all! Tonight I’m off to Scrap-A-Latte to take Angie’s tags class! That’s going to be fun!

The card that I have for you for today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Quite a fun and unusual sketch! My obsession with the Stitched shapes continues on today’s card! The base is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Basic Black. My background is a piece of Brushed Silver Metallic that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. My three panels are all pieces of paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the Stitched Rectangles to cut out the red hearts and the the black ones. The white one is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. I used the stitched strip from the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes to cut the diagonal. My greeting is from the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles to cut it out and it’s adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The little heart is Real Red and is punched out with the Confetti Hearts Punch. I coated it with Crystal Effects for a little shine. Two Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins complete the card. I love that Stacked with Love DSP and that it can be used for more than just a valentine! Yes, it’s Friday, my all time favorite day of the week! I had a hectic day at work yesterday, I was running around all over the place! But it does make the day fly by! I cam home last night and worked on some projects and spoke to Andrea and Eva vis Skype. A relatively quiet evening, not the norm but certainly welcome. I pre-ordered my Apple Watch this morning! Can you believe that it won’t ship until June?!?! That is just crazy! I’m sure that it will be amazing just like all of their other products! What about you? Are any of you thinking about getting one? I’ll have a full review once I did get mine don’t you worry! LOL!

My card that I have for you for today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I have wanted the set that I used on today’s card for a while and just kept on forgetting to order it but I finally remembered! My card base is Whisper White Cards Stock. I covered the entire front with a piece of Sahara Sand. For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Whisper White and I backed it with some fun foam and adhered it to the card. The strip down the right side is a piece of Brushed Gold Metallic Card Stock with a piece of paper from the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper Pack. My two angled strips are also Sahara Sand and are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the wreath and the greeting from the Your Perfect Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark on Vellum and heat embossed them with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles are used to cut them out. The wreath is adhered with 2-Way Glue and the greeting with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. Three Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I love the simplicity and subtle colors, this would definitely make a perfect wedding card! Mojo 391

What better way to start a Monday that with some snow?!?! Really?! It was just a dusting but enough already! I was speaking to my friend Andrea in Colorado and it was 80 degrees there! Not fair! LOL! I got my Girl Scout cookie Delivery at work and I had to immediately have some Samoas, they are my favorite! The rest of the day at work was quite, had dinner with the ‘rents and then came home and made my card for today. Taylor came over and we ran to Michaels so she could get some pastels, watercolor pencils and markers. I think that she covered most of the coloring mediums in one go! We came back to the house and got lost in YouTube videos for a while, a nice way to end the night!

My card that I have for you today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Hmm… a Tall & Skinny! I went all out Spring! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Strawberry Slush. Two pieces of paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack make up the panel across the middle and the two panels on the sides. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Vellum and a piece of Daffodil Delight. The greeting is from the A Happy Hooray Stamp Set and is stamped in Strawberry Slush and punched out with the Hexagon Punch. All of the pieces are mounted to a piece of Blushing Bride and a piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. I found two containers of the “Vintage” 2013-2015 In-Color Boutique Details and adhered one with a Glue Dot. Like I said very springy colors and I managed to stay away from the sequins too! LOL! Mojo 390

Hi there! SO nice to see you as always! It’s Thursday! You know that my happiness level always peaks towards the end of the week! LOL! Yesterday was a quiet day, not much happened. After work I came home and had dinner with ‘rents. I spent some time in the Stampin’ Galley working on a few projects. Taylor called me to tell me that she had found a shirt that I had wanted and was going to drop it off to me. She stopped by with her friend Chris and we talked for a bit. I also got to Skype with Andrea, she was all gussied up to go to a committee meeting at her children’s school. The rest of the evening was nice and quiet. I watched some videos on YouTube and then surfed around on-line for a bit. A nice quiet evening!

Today I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I have a few new stamps that I have been wanting to use for a while so I incorporated them into today’s card. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock covered in a piece of Night of Navy. I used another piece of Night of Navy and the Hero Arts Tiny Star Background Stamp with some Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder for my background. A piece of Smoky Slate is punched out with the Confetti Stars Border Punch and adhered to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My flagged piece is Basic Gray. The greeting is a Simon Says Stamp set called Sparkle and Shine and is heat embossed with more Liquid Platinum on Vellum. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles to cut it out and some 2-Way Glue and a tiny piece of Kool Tak Clear Foam holds it in place. The star is a piece of Smoky Slate that I cut out with the Stars Framelits and Heat embossed with the Liquid Platinum as well. A Stampin’ Dimensionals holds it to the card. Finally a few Hazel & Ruby Shine and Sparkle and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins on the flagged piece complete the card. I love that detailed starry background, I think it looks great with the Confetti Stars Punch! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Mojo 389

Hi there! How was Monday? Mine was good, my friend Robin was back from vacation so we did lunch and then had some surprise birthday ice cream cake for her! After dinner I talked to Andrea for bit on Skype and then ran over to Brian and Kim’s. Brian is trying to decide what MacBook he wants. He is convinced that in this day and age of the cloud needs a huge hard drive in the computer. I told him not so any more. We will continue the discussion later in the week. Taylor came over when I got home and she was watching TV and then when the commercials came on she would watch something on her iPhone. It was like media overload! I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to make today’s card to keep my sanity! LOL! Oh and a little update on Pinterest, I passed 100,000 followers on Monday!! That is just crazy!!

And today’s card is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

The card base is Whisper White Card Stock. My background is a piece of Coastal Cabana on the top and some Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper on the bottom. They are both cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. Across the middle is a piece of ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack. It’s adhered around the back with Sticky Strip before I adhered it to the base. I cut out a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The hello is also a Simon Says Stamp Die and is cut out from a piece of Coastal Cabana along with the stitched star. I heat embossed them with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder from Ranger. The hello is adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue and the star with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A bright simple quick card that I hope would make anyone’s day a little better! I really do love the look of the clear heat embossing, it gives the pieces a nice acrylic look! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
