Paper Craft Crew 262

Hey there! I had a very quiet day yesterday. Not my favorite kind of day but I guess they are necessary every once in a while. Other than some TV and a little work on the computer not much else happened. This morning I’m off to see Sue again for some Etsy work, that is always productive and fun! πŸ˜€

It’s mid-week and time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose the row across the middle for my card and decided to use some of the leftovers on my desk to make it! I always stamp some extra when I make something in the hopes that I will use it and today I got to! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide. My background is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background onto with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The pumpkin is from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit and is stamped in Orange Soda, Tangerine, Pumpkin Pie, Cup O Joe, Green Fields and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out and adhered it to a tag that is cut out with the Hero Arts Nested Tags Infinity Dies from another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. There is a little strip of Washi Tape across the bottom of the tag a piece of Natural Twine is tied through the top. My greeting is stamped in Pumpkin Pie with a few My Mind’s Eye Wicked Enamel Dots added. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and added a little Multi-Matte Medium to hold the twine in place. Love the bright pop of the orange pumpkin against the kraft! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 118 – Anything But a Card!

Hello!! I missed you guys! Pennsylvania was awesome! We had such a nice time at the lake and the weather was absolutely perfect! It was in the 80’s all weekend with lots of sun! I was very sad to leave yesterday to come home, so peaceful and serene there! Here is what my view was like for most of the time there…

Isn’t it just perfect?! Now it’s back to reality! I have a lot to catch up on today and hopefully it will all happen! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekends too!

It’s Tuesday and I have my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge to share with you…

Anything but an A2 card! I of course love a tag so that’s what I made! The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb using the tag die from the Hero Arts June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. My sunflower and greeting are from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Just Rust and Cup O Joe using my Mini MISTI. The leaves are stamped in Green Hills and Forever Green and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the leaves to the tag with Dot Runner Adhesive and the sunflower with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is stamped in Cup O Joe and I tied a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord through the top to finish it off. I love that tag die because it folds over so that you can write a nice little message inside! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope to see your project in the gallery so head on over to the BLOG for some more inspiration! Thanks for coming back to check in with me after my little vacation! I wish you all a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Autumn Pumpkins on Kraft

A good Thursday morning to you! I had a productive day yesterday, got some computer stuff done in the morning and ran a few errands in the afternoon. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went for a four mile walk on the Bethpage Bike Trail. I always feel so good after a walk and so does he! We are going to try and make sure that we take one more often. A little Zorn’s for dinner and some TV before calling it a day. I think that I will try and work on the kitchen cabinets today, let’s see how that goes! πŸ˜€

I didn’t have a chance to make a card last night so I made one this morning. I used supplies from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit, love that kit! The pumpkins are stamped in Tangerine, Orange Soda, Pumpkin Pie and Cop O Joe, the leaves in Green Hills and Moss, all using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and put aside. Onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb I added a little Moss Ink to the bottom with a Mini Ink Blending Tool and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images are adhered with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape and the greeting is stamped in Moss. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Moss, Pumpkin and Espresso Sequins and the card is done! I’m not a fan of the Fall weather but I do love the images and colors associated with the season! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for visiting! Have a terrific Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 362

Another speedy weekend but it was a beautiful Summer like one here. It’s good that we had the nice weather because we are supposed to get a lot of rain this week which will put a damper on my kitchen plans, bummer. I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I cleaned a little and did some laundry. There was a lot of TV time too. I’ll have to find some inside projects for today! πŸ˜€

I had sat down last night to make my card before I checked to see what this week’s Paper Players challenge was and as luck would have it, it works…

I’m loving the Hero Arts Autumn Icon Fancy Dies that were an add-ons to this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit. I used them to cut out someΒ So Saffron, Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. For the acorn I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to a piece of Crumb Cake and then cut around it with my scissors. To adhere them to the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used Ultra Thin Glue Dots. All that was left to do was stamp my greeting from the Hero Arts Ribbon Greetings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cup O Joe. I used basically the same goodies to make yesterday’s card. Love how you can get such a completely different look with the same products! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have the best Monday that you can! πŸ™‚

Happy Birthday Pumpkin

Happy Sunday peeps! I’m a little late this morning because I was out a little later than planned last night and actually got up this morning and made my card! I went over to Jim’s yesterday and we worked on getting his garage organized. We had a little lunch and then went over to the new Costco by him. He got a new TV for his bedroom so we installed that and then ran over to IKEA and Target. A lot was accomplished and that is always a good thing! πŸ˜€

That card that I made this morning uses some of the add-ons from the September My Monthly Hero Kit. I started by die cutting the pumpkin from Gold Glitter Card and the leaf from Green Glitter Paper using the Hero Arts Autumn Icons Fancy Dies. I laid the pumpkin onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to get and idea as to where I wanted to do my ink blending. I used Just Rust behind the pumpkin and Pool around it. The pumpkin and leaf are then adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. For the greeting I ink blended some more Just Rust onto card stock and dried it with my Heat Tool. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s cut out with one of the banner dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Green and Pumpkin Sequins finish the card! It would be a fun to give for a fall birthday don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for stopping by! Have a super Sunday! πŸ™‚

Simple Sunflower

It was another beautiful day here yesterday! I went over to Jim’s and waited for the guy to come and measure for the door. I caught up on my Blog comments and played with the dogs while I waited. After the guy was done I came back home and Heather and I ran to BJ’s to pick up a few things. Last night Heather and I went over and spent some time with Stephanie. Today, not sure what’s going on but hopefully it will be fun! πŸ˜€

I have a super quick and simple card using the September My Monthly Hero Kit and my Mini MISTI! I stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie and Orange Soda for the flower and Green Hills and Forever Green for the leaves. The flower center is stamped in Cup O Joe for both layers. My little bee is stamped in Butter Bar and Cup O Joe and the greeting in Forever Green. Done! Like I said, simple and a great card to make multiples of with the MISTI! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks for visiting with me and I wish you all a superb Saturday! πŸ™‚

Smiley Thank You

Hi friends! I had a nice quiet day yesterday apart from running over to Jim’s for a little bit. Didn’t really do much of anything in particular. Today I’ll make up for that! And the rest of this week it’s all about that kitchen!

I have a nice simple card to share with you today. I took out one of my favorite My Monthly Hero Kits and stamped the smiley face in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb along with some hearts in Red Royal. They smiley faces are colored in with a Copic and I used a stylus once again with Butter Bar Ink to add some little dots. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My thank you is cut from Black 110lb with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. That’s it! Nice and simple for when you need a fun thank you card quick! I hope that you like today’s easy card! Thank you for visiting and enjoy your Sunday! πŸ™‚

Dreaming Sheep

Happy Friday!! It’s a little on the crisp side here this morning but that’s ok, wakes you up! I started work on the cabinets yesterday after spending the morning with Heather. I found that using the heat gun to remove the paint worked pretty well. I also found that getting the doors off was harder than stripping the paint! The screws are painted over, not fun! I finished off the evening with a nice Thirsty Thursday and helped George with some computer stuff before coming home. And just so you know after a year my friend Sam Smith has released a new single! Go and have a listen, it’s great! πŸ˜€

My card for today is really simple! I was looking at the August 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and spotted a sheep in the set that I hadn’t seen before! I stamped the sheep three times in Hero Arts Black Ink onto some Solar White 110lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped my greeting and then added the sheep around it with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! Like I said super simple but a nice way to let someone that you love know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have yourselves a fun filled Friday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 258… Again! & Etsy!

Hello my friends! I finished taking down the wallpaper border in the kitchen yesterday. Stephanie stopped by and dropped off some heavy duty remover for the stubborn glue that wouldn’t come off and she hung out for a bit. I would like it if someone would be kind enough to send some paint stripping gnomes to help get the paint off of the cabinets! There are probably about 5 layers on there, not going to be a fun process at all! It’s supposed to rain today so I probably won’t get to start it until tomorrow, gives me time to mentally prepare myself! LOL! πŸ˜€

I promised a few weeks ago that I would let you know when all of my purge goodies were up on my friend’s Etsy Store and today is the day! There are over 150 new sets, some brand new and some gently used all up to 50% off retail! Head on over by clicking HERE and check everything out!

So last week I inadvertently posted my card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge and it wasn’t really supposed to go up until this week. I made a new card so you get a twofer! Here is the sketch once again…

I used the May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit to create today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party, on the bottom portion I used the Stencil from the Kit and some Tide Pool Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Across the panel is a piece of Calypso Coral that is flagged on the right along with some coral cut out using a Die from the Kit. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them in with my Copics and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered wth 3D Foam Squares to a piece of 65lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and that is then adhered to the background. I stamped the greeting from the Kit and then adhered to the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I do think that the mermaid and the stencil are quite fun, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Grateful Pinecone Wreath

Good morning my peeps! Hope everyone had an amazing day yesterday along with me! My apartment is finally the way I wanted when I set out on this mission, beautiful and spacious! LOL! Who knew a little purging could make such a big difference?! I spent a little time outside yesterday too, having some coffee and reading the news in the beautiful weather! No more rain here today! I went out and got some shelves to finish up a few last minute organization projects, and I think they’re going to work perfectly! I just have to find a little more time to stain them! I also want to let you guys know that this weekend I will be out of town. I’m taking a little last minute trip up to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Jim at his cabin and enjoy the lake! There will be no post on Saturday or Sunday, but I will return to my regular posting on Monday! πŸ˜€

Lets jump into the card! For my base I used my trusty Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a piece of Desert Storm and attached it with the E-Z Runner to the card base. I then ink blended the die cuts from the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and clustered them together. They are attached the with a little Multi-Matte Medium and some 3D Foam Squares to give the smaller pieces a little dimension on the wreath that is die cut from some Chocolate Chip twice. Then, I took my Just Rust ink and stamped my “grateful” from the September My Monthly Hero Kit right onto the background paper. I hope you all enjoy my attempt to embrace the forthcoming cooler weather with this fall themed card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I’ll be back tomorrow with a post for Concord & 9th! Enjoy your Thursday! πŸ™‚
