Paper Craft Crew 172

Hey there! Do you have all of your festivities planned for Thanksgiving? Will you be going Black Friday shopping until the wee hours of the morning? The answer to both of those questions for me would be no! LOL! I’m not a huge fan of lines and I’ll be going next door to Mum & Dad’s for Thanksgiving. Yesterday was a little colder here than it has been. I played in the new and improved Stampin’ Galley for a bit in the morning and then ran over to see Renee and Angie at Scrap-A-Latte for a little bit before coming back home and spending a little time with little Daniel. After dinner I headed over to Heather’s and we ran to Target and then back to her house for an early Thirsty Thursday! Brian and Patty even came! Always a good time when spent with my peeps! Today I’m going to try and get some serious creative time in and get some on-line things done! It’s supposed to be in the 60’s here on Thursday so I plan to enjoy some outdoor time then!

It’s mid-week so I’m back over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS172 DT Sketch 11-25-2015

I used a whole bunch of different products on today’s card! Love when you can mix things from different companies and have them play nicely together! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and it’s cut so that when it’s folded it makes a 4 1/4″ square card. My background consists of a piece of paper from an old My Mind’s Eye 6×6 Pad called The Merry Days of Christmas on the top and a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper across the bottom. I used the Simon Says Stamp Frames Craft Dies to cut out a piece of Early Espresso and Crumb Cake that I stamped with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Crumb Cake. They are held together on the back with some tape and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The tree is form the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Catkin, Green Leaf and Hero Arts White Unicorn Ink. I used the coordinating Frame Cuts to cut it out and adhered it to the frame with SNAIL. Finally, the greeting is from the same Hero Arts Set and is stamped in Green Leaf with the ends flagged and adhered to the card with some more Foam Tape. I do love the bit of sparkle from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the eclectic mix of elements! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has done with the sketch and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time to come by and visit with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew Theme 171

So how is your week going so far? Mine isn’t too bad, I actually got a lot accomplished around the house yesterday! Brian came over in the morning and helped me rearrange the furniture in my bedroom and it seems much bigger now! I dusted and vacuumed the whole house and then went on a purge spree! Love when I get in that mood! I like to keep boxes that things come in, not the best idea when you have a very small apartment! I threw out a ton of boxes and other crap that I no longer need! Feels so good! I had dinner with my parents, brother and Daniel. He was a bit cranky yesterday because he skipped his nap! I get like that too! LOL! Later on I ran up to Michael’s to get a few supplies and then came home and crafted for a bit before watching Limitless! Love that show!

Well, it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge and it’s a theme…

PCCCS171 DT Theme 11-18-2015

Thank you cards, you can never have enough of those! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I covered the entire front in a piece of Kraft Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I stamped some leaves, well, a lot of leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Apple of My Pie Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and then heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They are colored in with my Paintbrush, some water and Yellow Ochre, Vermillion, Crimson Red and Deep Green Royal Langnickel Watercolors. Here is what the panel looks like by itself…

PCCCT171 Background-WM

After they dried I adhered the panel to the card with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. The greeting is also form the Apple of My Pie Stanp Set and is heat embossed with more Gold on Vellum. I cut the frame out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut from another piece of Kraft, heat embossed a additional greeting on the bottom of the frame and adhered the greeting to it. I decided at the last minute that I could make this a shaker card so I adhered 3M Foam Tape along the edges and filled it with some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti. I do love that greeting and the way that you can still make out the leaves behind it and see the confetti! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team have done and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 170

Already halfway through the week! Like they promised yesterday it rained here all day. I did run over to Scrap-A-Latte and I spent some time with Renee. We went over this month’s sets for class and I picked out some paper. After I got home I watched a little YouTube on my Apple TV and then finally started to straighten up the Stampin’ Galley. There is still a lot more that needs to be done but I finally did start! I went over to my parent’s for dinner and Daniel discovered that he really likes corn, he had about four helpings! Back to my house and some craftiness before watching Limitless and then speaking to Carolyn on Skype for a little bit before calling it a night.

Today I’m back over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS170 DT Sketch 11-11-2015

I played with some Hero Arts goodies to make my card. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I used another piece for the background. It’s created with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire and Picked Raspberry and a Mini Ink Blending Tool. The flowers are form the Hero Arts Let Love Grow Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini, Hot Mama, Green Apple, Green Leaf and Hero Arts Unicorn Ink right onto the background. Next up are a strip of Blackberry Bliss and a some Vellum, both are flagged and adhered to the card with SNAIL. My butterfly is from the Hero Arts Butterflies Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. Some Simon Says Stamp Duckling, Rosie Cheeks and Teeny Bikini are used to stamp it and it’s cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. A few pieces of Foam Tape hold it in place. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cuts. I cut it out from a piece of Black 110lb and Black Fun Foam, they are adhered to each other and the card with Multi-Matte Medium. There has to be some sequins so I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Spring Mix and Summer Mix randomly around the images. I needed a nice bright card to help chase away all of the rain and I think this one is perfect! I hope that you enjoy my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Take a trip over to the blog to see the rest of the Design Team’s cards to inspire you! Thank you so much for taking some time out of your to come by and see what I’m up to! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 169 – Sketch

Happy mid-week peeps! It was another gorgeous day here yesterday! A high of 72 degrees and nice and sunny! I wish the weather would stay like this! I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte, with the top down in the car which was really nice! I helped her out with a few things and I’ll be watching the store for her today. She’s taking the day off to watch her grandkids! I think that they say that it’s supposed to be nice through the end of the week, hopefully another ride to the store today with the top down too!

Back on my Wednesday schedule and that means that it’s time for the Paper Craft Crew and this week we have a sketch…

PCCCS169 DT Sketch 11-04-2015

The sketch looked very birthday to me but I went with Holiday! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the lower half is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops Die and adhered to the card with Tombo Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive. Across the top is a piece of “Vintage” Night of Navy 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon. Next up I used a piece of Solar White 110lb with some Stick-It on the back along with the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Block Die. It’s adhered to a piece of Night of Navy and then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Another piece of Solar White 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake, I adhered a piece of Vellum in the center and then used some Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Be Joyful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Vellum and yes, I cut it out with my Paper Snips before using some more Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. For a little added sparkle some Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins are randomly added and that finishes the card! I love that Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops Die and I’m always a fan of blues for the Holidays! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the team’s cards! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Getting a late start to the day, oops! I was at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday watching the store for Renee. I did some cutting for her and then Andrew came up and had lunch with me. We had Blaze pizza, delicious as always! He helped me put up some new signs in the window and we listened to music and got caught up. Nice to spend some time with him! When I got home I had a sandwich and watched Limitless. After that it was time for bed. Today we are supposed to have rain and wind so it will be a good crafty day. I need one of those!

After a little hiatus I’m back over on the Paper Craft Crew blog today for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS168 DT Sketch 10-28-2015

As soon as I saw the sketch I thought it would be a good one to use with my Hero Arts Kit! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Vellum and rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper. My greeting and all of the poinsettias and leaves are from the October My Monthly Hero Arts Kit. I heat embossed the greeting in Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. Across the lower part is a piece of paper from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Paper Pad. I adhered that to the vellum and then hid some SNAIL and 2-Way Glue behind the strip and greeting to adhere the vellum to the card. A circle is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles from another piece of paper from the same 6×6 pad and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The poinsettias are stamped in one of the reds from the kit, the second layer is Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red and then the third layer is heat embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. In the center I used some Simon Says Stamp Goldenlocks. For the leaves I used the two greens that came in the kit and then cut out the poinsettias and leaves with the coordinating dies. A piece of Early Espresso is cut out with the Memory Box Branching Out Dies and adhered to the gold circle with SNAIL. The Poinsettias are adhered with Foam Tape and the leaves with SNAIL tucked under them. I used a little Glossy Accents in the centers of the poinsettias and the card is done! I’ve said it before, I love the stamp layering sets and this one is no exception! The stamps in the kit are great and the coordinating dies are a nice addition! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! It’s good to be back with all of the rest of the talented Design Team so go on over to the blog and check out their projects! Thanks very much for visiting with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Now that was a long day yesterday! It rained here in the morning and then was nice and sunny by the afternoon. I left work at 3:00 and got the 3:44 train into Manhattan. Not surprisingly it was late! LOL! I did get to Isabella’s around 5:00. She was going thorough a bunch of things that she had brought back from her mum’s house in Italy and gave me some of them. Really lovely things that are just wonderful. I’m going to use some of them in my pictures and I’ll let you know when I do. It was great to see her as always and I can’t thank her enough for the beautiful treasures that she gave me! Taylor picked me up from the train and by the time I got home it was 11:00. Like I said, a very long day, but a good one none the less!

Before I get to today’s post I have some extremely exciting news! In the morning, one of the first things that I do is go on Twitter. As I was scrolling through my feed this morning I see a Tweet from Alison Barclay congratulating me on my Mojo Monday Design Team appointment! What?!?! I almost dropped the phone! Sure enough I went to the Mojo Monday blog and there it is… my card from last week congratulating me! CRAZY?! I’m so very honored to have been chosen! I can’t believe it! Thank you Julee!! I can’t wait to get started! 😀

Now for today’s card, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS148 DT Sketch 6-10-2015

I used some new goodies from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece is Watermelon Wonder and on the right is a piece of paper from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the candles from the Sprinkles of Life Photopolymer Stamp Set in Watermelon Wonder on the right and then adhered a piece of Pool Party 1/4′ Cotton Ribbon around the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Some more is tied into a bow and adhered with a Glue Dot. A piece of Crushed Curry and a piece of Cucumber Crush are punched out with the Banner Punch and adhered under the ribbon with SNAIL. The square is a piece of Bermuda Bay that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and adhered it to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. The cupcake is also from the Sprinkles of Life Set along with the greeting. I heat embossed the bottom in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Silver Foil Sheet and the top is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On onto some Vellum. I also heat embossed the sprinkles in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To get the puffy white look I used the Stampin’ Pierce Mat and the Simply Scored Stylus on the back in a circular motion. The bottom is adhered with SNAIL and the top with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. My happy birthday is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Cucumber Crush that I flagged the ends on and adhered with some Foam Tape. To finish off the card I adhered three Recollections Enamel Dots. I really do love that Sprinkles of Life Set and don’t forget that for each one sold Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the design team has done to inspire you! We are supposed to get a break from the rain today, they say some sun in the afternoon but then right back to the rain for Thursday and Friday. As long as it’s nice at the weekend! Today was dreary but you make the most of it right?! Work was a little busy but I still managed to get a bunch of things done. Dinner tonight was bacon cheeseburgers and beer battered french fries! YUM! After I came home and Skyped with Andrea and made a card using some new goodies that I recently acquired! I like when I can just sit down and play for a little while! Taylor came by and we ran to Target to get some soy milk and eggs, I also picked up some Twizzlers because, well, they make mouths happy! LOL! How is your week going?

Before I get to my card for today I wanted to share some cards that a friend of mine sent to me along with some goodies including some brochures on London! Her name is Nicole Watt, better known as the Pixel Maven! She is a very talented card maker and a whiz with computers! In my package was a cool little surprise. We lost the Color Coach in this year’s Catalog, not to worry, Nicole has an ingenious solution for us! She came up with her own color chart! You can see it by clicking here and heading over to her blog. She has it available as a download or you can purchase one of the handy cards! Speaking of cards, here are the two that she sent me…

This one actually uses the placemat from the restaurant that we had lunch in while I was in Florida for Leadership in January!

And this one is just gorgeous! I love the watercoloring!! Thank you Nicole!!

Today it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for our sketch challenge for this week…

I used a bunch of different goodies on my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of the Sale-A-Bration Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. My panel is a piece of Bermuda Bay with some Vellum adhered behind the embellishments on top of it. The panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My three feathers are cut from Pool Party with the Feathers Framelits, I spattered them with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Teal and Gold. They are adhered to the panel with Foam Tape. The stamped greeting is from one of the Paper Pumpkin Kits and is heat embossed in Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Coastal Cabana and adhered with more Foam Tape. The die cut greeting is cut from Gold Foil Sheet with the Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words Birthday Die and adhered with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. A scattering of Hazel & Ruby The Makery Green with Envy and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes the card. I love the blues and all of the different texture on the card! Wednesday already! I like having Monday’s off! LOL! Today was another nice day, lots of sun and a little breeze. My day was pretty good, work wasn’t terrible, I got to drive home with the top down, my favorite way to end the work day! I came home and had some dinner and then retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to make a card. I ran out to Target quick to get a few things, I love that it’s open until midnight! Not a bad day at all!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew big for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS146 DT Sketch 5-27-2015

I wanted to use some new goodies and do a little watercoloring, it’s been a while since I have done that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb. I stamped the Hardwood Background Stamp on a piece of Whisper White with Sahara Sand Ink. Some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine is spattered on the panel and it’s adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. I heat embossed the flower from the NEW You’ve Got This Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder twice. The watercoloring is done with So Saffron and Old Olive Ink and a wet brush. I cut out one with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle Dies and the flower with my Paper Snips. Some Foam Tape adheres the flower to the circle and more SNAIL and Fun Foam adhere the circle to the card. A few butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set are heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches. I colored the back of the with a Copic Y35 Marker and the used Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhere them to the circle. My greeting is a piece of So Saffron and Neenah Solar White 80lb cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Die. I adhered the two die cuts together with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium and then adhere it to the card with Foam Tape. I love the soft look of the watercolored flower and cool gold butterflies against the Hardwood Background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Well,  it’s been a few hours since my last post! LOL! I had the Control Freaks Blog Tour last night featuring products from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog. If you missed it and would like to see the cards and take the complete tour click HERE! Yesterday was gloomy and rainy until about 2:00pm when the sun came out, a nice way to finish the day! Work was loads of fun, I had some people come in to have their signatures captured and of course the equipment wasn’t working so I had to figure out how to fix that, no surprises there! I came home and had dinner and then realized that I had the aforementioned Blog Tour and I had no projects so into the Stampin’ Galley I went and made my cards and then typed the post with 15 minutes to spare! Ahh… pressure! Anyway, sometimes it’s the best way to work!

So for today, since it’s Wednesday, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS145 DT Sketch 5-20-2015

When I sat down with this sketch the other day I knew exactly what I wanted to do! Love that! The card base is Whisper White and measures 5″ x 5″. The background is a piece of the NEW Watermelon Wonder Card Stock with a piece of Whisper White on top of that. Across the bottom is a piece of paper from the NEW Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I adhered some Whisper White 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon around the back and made a bow with it too. All of the images and greeting are from the Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The squiggly flower is heat embossed on Crushed Curry with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits. The LOVE is heat embossed in the same on Vellum and both the circle and the vellum are tucked behind the DSP. Another sliver from the DSP is adhered with Foam Tape on top of the ribbon. My greeting is stamped in Watermelon Wonder and punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch and also adhered with some Foam Tape. I used a “Vintage” Paper Clip clipped to the vellum and one of the hearts from the set stamped in Watermelon Wonder and punched out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. A little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen is brushed over it for some sparkle. Finally three enamel dots are adhered in the upper left. I really am loving that DSP aren’t I?! LOL! I t really does have some cool patterns in it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Make sure that you stop by the blog and see the rest of the design team’s projects! Thanks very much for your visit today! Enjoy your Wednesday my friends! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 144

Well, the good news is that yesterday the training went much better than I thought it would! Casey was able to do a WebEx meeting with us and I actually knew more than I thought I did, that’s always a nice surprise! LOL! So it was a good day after all! We had hamburgers and beer battered french fries for dinner and then I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to get ahead start on some projects that I have been working on. I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte tonight for a while helping prepare for class and then tomorrow and Friday is the class. It was so popular that we added a second night! Woo hoo! This month is Reverse Confetti and I can’t wait to show the cards to you but I still have a month or two left to get caught up with. I’ll post some more this weekend!

Well, it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS144 DT Sketch 5-13-2015

I had to play with some more Simon Says Stamp goodies! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb. I used some long forgotten Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine and flicked it on the card front. The panel on the right is a piece of paper from the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper Pack backed with a piece of Night of Navy. All of the images and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are all cut out with the coordinating Lovely Day Wafer Dies. I stamped the wreath in Garden Green and the heat embossed the greeting in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and adhered it to the back of the wreath. The second greeting is stamped in Calypso Coral, flower in Crushed Curry, stem in Garden Green and the flowers in Blushing Bride. The are all adhered with Foam Tape and SNAIL. To finish off the card I adhered three pearls that Mr. Trent had sent home for me with some Thermo-Web Bling Glue Dots. I love all of the elements and how well they go with the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Take a little detour over to the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has for inspiration for you! I thank you and appreciate your visit as always and I wish a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
