Paper Craft Crew 274

Did you know that I moved to Antarctica?! Me either but that’s exactly what it feels like here! I woke up to 12 degrees and it hasn’t been above 25 in over a week! Oh how I love the Winter… NOT! To make things even more fun we are to get some snow tomorrow. No thanks! I did have a productive day yesterday, I went over to Jim’s in the morning and we undecorated his house and had lunch. I was back home by 3:00 and took down Christmas at my place too. Today I have some laundry to do and cleaning, all things that can be done without going outside! LOL! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I have had the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp for a while and I finally inked it up to make today’s card! Using My MISTI and some Minty Fresh, Merman, Peacock and Hippo Ink to stamp it onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The greeting is from the same set, I stamped it in Black Licorice and then offset it and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle, some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones are added to the centers of the larger ones! A nice simple card to let someone know that you think they are amazing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

It has become seriously cold here! I woke up to 20 degrees this morning and lots of wind! Poor Cali was not happy on her walk this morning and neither was I! LOL! Yesterday I ran some errands then met up with Heather and Steph after dinner so that they could go and vote for Fire Commissioner. Heather and I stopped by to see Brian and Kim’s house, they are expanding it out to the side and up. It was pretty neat to see the construction, the shell went up really fast! When I got back home Taylor was here snuggling with Cali. Her and I ran a few more errands and then I called it a night. Not sure what I’m up to this morning but I know there will be some laundry in there somewhere! πŸ˜€

I did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea yesterday and made my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by reaching for the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit. The vase is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, colored in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used the lattice window die to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. For my background I spattered some Heidi Swapp Gold and Teal Color Shine onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The two strips of patterned paper are from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad. I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on the teal strip and flagged both ends of the butterfly strip before adhering them to the card. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive hold the lattice window in place and a little 3M Foam Tape secures the vase. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the December My Monthly Hero Kit, so many fun things to use in it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

A somewhat gloomy day here yesterday weather wise but those are good days to get stuff done! I completed a bunch of things in the morning, including getting some gifts ordered. Taylor came by around 5:00 and took Cali over to my Parent’s to have dinner with them. I ran out to a few stores with Heather and got some more gifts out of the way. Heather made a quick dinner and when I got home Cali was over at my Parent’s because my Mum didn’t like that she was alone! I think someone really likes the little dog! This morning I have some cleaning to do and then Jim will be by later for dinner. πŸ˜€

I squeezed in a card lasst night and it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I definitely took a simple approach! I started by stamping the Hero Arts Snowy Scene Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple Ombre Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and trimming it so it had no border. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb with a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered on the left. The panel is then added to a card base of Solar white 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered to the card. I still love that Snowy Scene stamp, it’s perfect for making a quick card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and be sure to share your card with us in the gallery! Happy Wednesday peeps! I had a nice visit with my friend Ella in Manhattan yesterday. It was a quick one, the city is very busy now through the end of the year with everyone coming in to see the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center and the windows in a ll of the stores. A little too crowded for me to go on my usual little walks! Taylor was off so she took Cali to her house and then came back to my house and waited for me to get home so she wouldn’t be alone. Jim came by after work and we ran a few errands and then gave Cali a bath to get all of the shelter off of her. She is still being really good, let’s hope that she stays that way! This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and some things to get done on the computer. Another busy day! πŸ˜€

Middle of the week and I have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge to share…

It looks like a really complicated sketch but I took it down to a one layer card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I placed it in my Mini MISTI, I find myself using the MISTI more and more for stamping all the time, it’s nice to have the option of double stamping if necessary! All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. The lines are stamped in Black Licorice, the flowers in Peachy Keen and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass. I also used Black Licorice for the greeting and then added some Peach Iridescent and Lime Iridescent Sequins from my stash to give the card a little sparkle! I have said it before, I love a nice simple single layer card and these would be great to make multiples of with your MISTI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Happy pre-turkey day! I had a nice time in Manhattan yesterday visiting with Anna and Jane at The Ink Pad! I love that store!! So much fun stuff and I was really good and didn’t get anything, although that was really hard! LOL! Last night I went over to Jim’s and we worked on a few projects in the garage and then went out to grab some dinner at the diner. This morning I had a few phone calls to make before I get started on a whole bunch of errands. It’s going to be a busy day! πŸ˜€

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do love a vintage looking card but I’m not really great at making them, anyhow, this is what I came up with. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad and adhered that to a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My pine branches and berries are from the Essential by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Die Set and are cut from Classic Cherry and Noble Fir. I adhered them to card with E-Z Runner. The joy is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Die Set and is cut from Silver Glitter Card. To add that to the card I used 3M Foam Tape. It needed just a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not super vintage but that paper definitely helps! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us by entering it in the gallery! Wednesday already! This week is on the fast track. What I thought was going to be a nice quiet morning yesterday was anything but. I spoke to Andrea in the morning and found out that one of her horses had passed away. Then my Mum needed me to help her with some things. Next up was a letter that I had to write for the event on Sunday to see if we could get some footage of an interview. Busy, but I like it that way! Taylor came by last night and we had Wendy’s for dinner after she left I got a text from Kim that her cat Haligan was hit by a car. Not a good week for pets at all. With Winston that makes three so we should be good for a while. I’m going to spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley doing some more purging this morning, I had so much fun last time! πŸ˜€

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew to share with you…

My card started out with me stamping the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp in Black Licorice onto piece of Classic Cherry using my Mini MISTI. I trimmed it down and then stamped the stripes in Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment Ink. The fun wood heart is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice onto some Desert Storm 80lb. I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Cozy Up Set and is heat embossed in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the heart to complete the card. I love that black and red plaid background with the gold pigment ink stripes! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Oh how I miss the Summer! Have I said that already?! And we are just getting started with the cold weather! Ugh! Getting dark at 5:00PM isn’t fun either! Ok, enough whining! LOL! What started out as a sunny day quickly turned overcast and then it started rain around 4:00 and did that for the rest of the night. I ran up to IKEA in the morning and got a few pillows for the couch. Taylor came by in then evening and that was pretty much my day. This morning I’m off to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! We have added a bunch more items to the SHOP including Altenew and Concord & 9th! You should go over and take a look! πŸ˜€

For my mid-week card I have one to share with you for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose to go across the top row. I have been trying to make some simple Holiday cards, I really am planning on sending them out this year and if I come up with a few simple ones that will be easy to make multiples of it will happen! To start my card I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Tropical Sea with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of 29lb Vellum. That is adhered around the back of the stamped background panel and that is then adhered to a piece of Metallic Copper Card Stock which is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The card needed a little sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. I do love the tone on tone background and the fun simple copper accents! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some inspiration and add your card to the gallery! Thanks you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

WOW! It’s cold here this morning! In the 30’s… way too cold for me! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, got to speak to my friend Greg in Indiana for a bit. Always good to catch up with him! I also got a bunch of laundry done and around 9:00 last night I realized that it was Halloween! I guess we didn’t have very many trick-or-treaters. This morning we will figure out where the horrible smell of gasoline is coming from in my apartment. I think something leaked in the garage, not pleasant. I keep having to run outside and it’s too cold for that now! LOL! πŸ˜€

Mid-week and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

Today’s card was started by stamping the Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Photopolymer Stamp Set, I used Minty Fresh for the background and then filled in the images with Lobster, Cranberry, Sunflower and Noble Fir. The Coordinating Die cuts out one of the flower clusters, I saved what was left to use on a future project. Next up I used the squished hexagon Die from the Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Dies to cut out a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Noble Fir. To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of Chili Pepper across the lower half and then adhered my hexagon and flower cluster with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I used another one of the Dies to cut out a piece of Noble Fir and tucked the little leaves under my hexagon. For something a little different I added a few Theresa Collins Santa’s List Enamel Dots to finish the card. I do love that Blooms Fill-In Stamp! It’s such a neat idea! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! There is more to see over on the BLOG so be sure and stop by! Thank you for coning by to see me today! It started out gloomy in the morning yesterday and then was sunny in the afternoon. The evening however delivered the rain and wind as promised! We even had a little thunder and lighting. I had a semi-productive day, got some things accomplished in the morning and did a little cleaning. Taylor came by last night and we watched a few episodes of DC Legends of Tomorrow, so nice to spend time with the child! This morning it’s a little gloomy but should clear up. I have some errands to run and then a meeting later about a charity event on November 12th that I’m volunteering for. Good times! πŸ˜€

Mid-week and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

The card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp with some Merman Ink and a piece of Mermaid Card Stock with my Mini MISTI to create the background. It’s adhered to the card in the lower right askew to match the sketch. The tree is cut from a piece of Peacock using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. I heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered the tree to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For a little pop of color I used the star die from the Trim the Tree Dies and attached that to the top of the tree with more 3M Foam Tape. A simple card using one of my favorite Holiday color combos! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! I appreciate you stopping by today! Have a wild Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Hey there peeps! Mid-week already! I managed to get a bunch of stuff done yesterday, some computer stuff in the morning and a little cleaning in the afternoon. I do so love a productive day! Had a little dinner with my Parent’s, Dad is doing much better. I saw Taylor for a bit, she is going to Massachusetts to see a friend and has never taken Amtrak before so I get to go into Manhattan this morning and put her on the train and then come back home. Good times! LOL! πŸ˜€

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I felt a little Deja Vu! Typically Halloween colors but not for me! LOL! I stamped the ornament from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and the merry and bright with Carrot using my Mini MISTI. The image is then colored in with Copics. For the ornament topper I cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Concord & 9th Ornamental Dies. The middles of the flowers have a little Singo Gold Gel Pen. The background looked a little plain so I added dots with pen, one of my favorite ways to fill in a background! Yes, it’s not your typical red and green but it’s still merry and bright! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! You can stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Thank you for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚
