Paper Craft Crew 214

Sometimes a day away from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store is actually more work than being there! LOL! I had somewhat forgotten that I have my first solo post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog today so yesterday morning I made a card and typed my post for that. (If you want see that post you click HERE, it goes live at 11:00am!) Around 11:30 I went over and picked up Taylor and took her to the Dentist for her 12:15 appointment. At 1:05, still sitting there in the waiting room I started to get a little miffed! I had to be on a 1:44 train so my Parent’s came over and waited for her to finish. My Mum text me and told me that she was hysterical laughing when she came out from the anesthesia, I’m sorry that I missed that! I did make my train and relaxed and listened to my music all the way in. I went in a little early so that I could get a late lunch. I found a Chop’t in my travels and had a lovely salad and my favorite Pelligrino Lemon! From there I went over to see my friend Ella. She made me two Illy Lungos and we chatted for a while. Around 6:30 I headed back to Penn and got the 7:11 home. The train was packed but I had my headphones on and was in my own little world! I had a corn muffin (good thing I had the salad!) for dinner and then watched a little TV. Today I have to get ready for the Haunted House class, Sue is going to come and help me! She is so good!

Mid week and I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

pcccs214-dt-sketch-10-05-2016

This time the challenge will run for two weeks! Yay! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the brushstrokes from the Hero Arts Vintage Post Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Pool Ink. Across that, a little tilted, is a piece of Carta Bella Winter Fun Paper. I curled up the edges just a little for some added interest. My ornament is cut out with the die from the Hero Arts Winter Cheer Tag Set by Lia from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper. I also cut out a piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the silver with Multi-Purpose Adhesive. The tag is then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. Both of the greetings are from the same set. The winter wishes is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a piece of 48lb Vellum and I used my Scissors to cut out. Some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape adheres it to the ornament. My season’s greetings is also heat embossed in Gold onto more Solar White 110lb, I flagged both ends and adhered it with more 3D Foam Squares. Here come the sequins! LOL! I added some Cornflower, Silver, Gold and Sparkling Clear ones with Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! I really do love that tag cut from the Silver and the gold greetings, especially the fussy cut one, are so cool! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Take a minute and stop by the BLOG and see the rest of Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 213

And another week is just flying by! It’s Wednesday already! I did have another productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, got some more projects finished, made another card, checked in some more MISTI’s. Renee was off yesterday but stopped by to pick up some supplies so she could work on some stuff at home. After work it was the usual, dinner at my Parent’s and then home. I did replace my August Smart Lock with a new updated one that works with Apple’s HomeKit. Now I can just tell Siri to unlock my door! Oh how I love modern technology! I need to look into having the lights come on automatically when I get home too! Yes, I’m a geek at heart! LOL!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

pcccs213-dt-sketch-9-27-2016

I had some fun with some new Hero goodies on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 x 5 1/4 and drew a line across it with a pencil to decided where I wanted to do my embossing. The top piece is heat embossed with Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder using the Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp. Once I had that done I cut off the lower portion and used the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes with Frame Cuts, I didn’t use the Frame Cut part, and ran it through my Artisan X-plorer a few times to cut out multiples of the same snowflake. I picked up the dimensional parts and then added 3D Foam Squares to both panels and adhered them to the card. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. I flagged the ends and adhered it to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. My 25 is cut from a piece of Champagne Curious Metallic using the Hero Arts Classic Numbers Frame Cuts and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium to the greeting strip. The snowflakes needed a little something so I added Pretty Pink Posh Platinum and Sparkling Clear Sequins to the middles and the card is done! I love those Paper Layering Snowflakes, so cool the way you just lift up some parts and that White Puff Embossing Powder is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Thank you for your visit today, love having you stop by! Have a wild Wednesday! 🙂

Weather, better yesterday. The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good like it always is. I started making the haunted house prototype, now that I have an idea I can make the final one and get that going. Have to start working on the cards for next month’s card class too! See, it’s not all crafty fun all the time! LOL! After work I got to see my little Daniel for a bit and then Heather came by and got me and we ran to BJ’s. From there we stopped at George’s and then I stopped home to get my car and went over to Heather’s for some coffee and Heather time! Today, more projects need to get finished! Focus Justin! 😛

So, it’s Wednesday, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for a color challenge…

pcccs212-dt-colors-9-21-2016

I like a little color challenge with some leeway! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Fo my background I used the Reverse Confetti Office Edges Dies on a piece of Putty and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The tag is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts and then I used the Woodgrain Confetti Cuts to emboss it. On the top is a piece of Lemon Sorbet die cut with the Hang Ups Too Confetti Cuts. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My coffee cup is form the Reverse Confetti Caffeinated Cups Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Emerald Green and Cup O Joe. I used the coordinating Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts to cut the pieces out. For the funky flowers I used the Blooms ‘N Buds Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Butter Bar, Emerald Green, Tide Pool and Navy and then cut them out with the Coordinating Blooms ‘N Buds Confetti Cuts. All of the stamped images are adhered to the tag with 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Be A Barista Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Dark Molasses with the right side flagged. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere it to the tag and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Peacock and Sea Breeze Sequins complete the card! I have quite a bit of Reverse Confetti but don’t get to use it as much as I would like to! I love those funky flowers and the way the woodgrain looks on the gold tag! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery. Thank you for coming by to see what I’m up to today! Enjoy your Wednesday peeps! 🙂

Yes, another gorgeous day! Not too hot again, well, I like it pretty warm so it was in the 80’s, not too hot by my standards! I had a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got some much needed administrative stuff done and managed to get my newsletter sent out! Brian and my friend Dave stopped by the store! What a nice surprise that was! After work I went over to AT&T and met up with Heather and Stephanie. Heather is getting a new iPhone 7, it’s being shipped out on the 20th. After that I took Stephanie home and Heather and I went over to Brian and Kim’s. We sat outside and got all caught up! Around 9:30 Heather and I left and picked up Domino’s Pizza and had a very late dinner at her house. Today I have to cut for class, Sue is going to stop by and help me! She’s the best!

It’s Wednesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

pcccs211-dt-sketch-9-14-2016

Today is day three of Linda’s challenge, two more days to go! I started my card off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. next up is a piece of patterned paper, I think that it’s Authentique! I took a piece of Dark Molasses and heat embossed the thanks from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and adhered it to the patterned paper. My leaves are die cut from Gold Mirror Card, Lemon Sorbet and Candied Yam using the Concord & 9th Layering Leaves Dies. I also flagged the end of a strip of Gold Mirror Card and put a little May Arts Natural Twine behind it and adhered it with 3D Foam Squares. In the top left is another piece of Lemon Sorbet with both ends flagged, also adhered with 3D Foam Squares. My leaves are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Lemon Drop and Tangerine Sequins completes the card. A nice fall card, I’m loving how versatile the challenge set is! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Visit the BLOG for more inspiration from the rest of the Team and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a happy Hump Day! 🙂

What a rainy overcast day we had here yesterday. I guess we only got the side of Hermine, better than the full force of it! I tried to get some things organized at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday and was mostly successful! It was quiet so I also got some time to make another card! Nothing makes me happier than creating! Love it! Speaking of creating I have some fun news for you today! I’m going to a Designer on a brand new blog celebrating Concord & 9th, one of my favorite companies! It’s called Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th! You can check out the rest of the extremely talented Design Team by going over to the BLOG! Our first challenge is Friday, so I will have two posts for you! Yay! After I got home last night Heather called and I went over and picked her up so we could run a few errands and then we had a glass of wine before I came back home. Today I’m hoping the some more of my orders will show up at the store and I have to get ready for the Magic of Vellum Class tomorrow!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS210 DT Sketch 9-07-2016

I could’t wait to get started on this one! I knew exactly what I was going to do! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Black 110lb over the front. The panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb. I wanted to use part of a NYC Subway Map for my strip across the middle but I didn’t have any so I went online and found a PDF of it and selected a section and printed it out. It’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. A little pice of Admit One Washi Tape is adhered on the right. Next I die cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Viewfinder from the Echo Park Viewfinder and Ampersand Die Set. On top of that is a piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the slide die from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Open Book Dies Set. I adhered some Vellum to the back and then adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with my Copics. They are all cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. The I love NY is heat embossed onto a piece of Real Red and punched out with a 1/2″ Circle Punch. My greeting is stamped in Onyx Black along the bottom left. Another piece of Real Red is made into a little banner and adhered over some Hemptique Black & White Baker’s Twine that is then tied into a bow over the banner. The whole panel is then adhered to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I love the eclectic mish-mosh of elements and that Kelly’s New York Set is one of my all time favorites! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the team’s cards and enter your card into the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 209

Hello… it’s me! LOL! Love that song and Adele for that matter! How are you today?! We have made it to the mid-way point, yay! I had a nice busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday, so busy that when I looked at the clock it was 4:30! Where did that day go?! I did get a lot accomplished and that is always a good thing! Renee had her Home Decor class and they made the apple today, it came out really cute! I snuck out a little early again and after dinner I made my card for today and then ran to Target. You can never go in that store and just get what you went for! Do you have that issue too?!

So Wednesday and we are over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS209 DT Sketch 8-30-2016

I choose the first column down! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To make my  background I created a mask with the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand and Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the water. I left the mask over the water and flicked some Heidi Swapp Gold and Bronzer Color Shine onto the beach and used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying. The panel is then adhered to the card base with E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Vellum and I cut the bottom with the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders but reversed from the mask that I made. My greeting is the die cut you from the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Die, cut once from Ice Gold Curious Metallic and twice from Solar White 110lb. The rest of the greeting is from the My Monthly Hero Kit from May and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the three you die cuts together with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the Vellum. Some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape is hidden behind the you and the Vellum panel is adhered to the card. The shells are cut from Ice Gold and White Gold Curious Metallic and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Rose Gold and Pewter Sequins along with a few Wood Veneer Stars on the sand and the card is done! I love that Color Shine and Sequins on the sand, I look at the card and I’m at the beach! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for your visit today! They are always appreciated! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 208

Hello! Welcome to Wednesday! I had a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I managed to make two cards and get ready for my Partial Die Cutting Class too! Renee had brought in some delicious chicken soup with tortellini and meatballs in it and was nice enough to share it with me for lunch. I headed home around 6:00 and had dinner with my parents. They got central air installed in the house and it was lovely and cool inside! When I got to my house I called Heather and I went over to her house and picked her up so we could run to IKEA and Target. I had to return a mattress cover that I had bought and followed the washing instruction but some of it melted in the dryer! I also picked up a Duvet Cover and a new light for above my computer desk at home. Heather had a few odds and ends to get at Target and then I dropped her off and came back home and spent the rest of the evening planning for future classes at the store. Tomorrow the new Lawn Fawn release will be available! Yay!

If it’s Wednesday then it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

PCCCS208 DT Sketch 8-23-2016

My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the little spatters on the card base in Hero Arts Pale Tomato and Lime Green. Next up I stamped the flower and leaves in the same colors onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. To cut it out I used the Reverse Confetti Woodgrain Confetti Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Concord & 9th Blossom Die and adhered to over the flower with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. For a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Concord & 9th Birthday Bling Sequin Mix. I love that flower and the fact that the die doesn’t match it exactly makes it even better! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Howdy peeps! It was a little on the muggy side here yesterday but I don’t mind! The AC is still working in the car! YAY! But it has to compete with the roof and it usually looses! LOL! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store had a nice steady flow of peeps yesterday. I got a few pieces for projects finished too while I FaceTimed with Andrea. Some burgers for dinner when I got home and then I ran to Target, I tend to only really go when I have run out of creamer, is it sad that it’s the most important thing in my fridge?! When I got back to the house I finished putting together my card for today and then Cloroxed the bathroom. I think I may have been a little high before bed!

Mid-week, that means that it’s Paper Craft Crew time and this week we have a sketch…

PCCCS207 DT Sketch 8-17-2016

Washi Tape! I always forget about Washi Tape, lord knows I have enough of it! My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Dark Molasses and heat embossed the coffee ring from the Altenew Coffee Talk Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the square to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The word coffee, from the same set, is heat embossed in more Gold onto a piece of Lemon Sorbet and cut out with my Scissors. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Dark Chocolate Crisp Ink in the lower right corner. I adhered the “coffee” to a strip of 46lb Vellum that I flagged the ends on and adhered that to the square with 3D Foam Squares. In the upper right is a piece of Washi Tape and a piece of Gold Glitter Washi Tape. I used the Spellbinders Hipster 1 and 2 Shapeabilities to cut out some Gold Mirror Card, the coffee cup is adhered with more 3D Foam Squares and the Glasses with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish off the card. I love the fun font in the Coffee Talk Set and the neat eclectic mix of colors and elements on the card! It is definitely true, coffee is my spirit animal! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

I have come to realize that there just aren’t enough hours in the day for me! I’m sure that many of you feel that way! I try to get ahead but time just gets away! One day I’ll get it figured out and when I do I’ll share it with you! LOL! It was yet another busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I tried to get my Newsletter done, that didn’t happen. I do get quite a few interruptions throughout the day from peeps with little questions. I’m always happy to help someone out and I really don’t mind it at all! But there goes that time! We had a nice steady flow of customers, Taylor stopped up and had lunch with me. She is really into coloring lately and brought her coloring book and pencils. I FaceTimed with Andrea, we always have a laugh. After work I headed over to see Heather. He dad is doing a little better, she has been busy with him and school and work. We took a ride over to Bed, Bath & Beyond so that she could pick up some stuff. A lovely evening for a ride in my little AC-less convertible. It’s supposed to rain on and off for the next few days. That will be fun! I guilted Jessica into cutting my hair this morning. I have had enough of the man bun. I did it and now it’s time to cut it all off! After my haircut I’m going to head over to LaGuardia Airport to pick up Ken Oliver. He is teaching classes for Renee tonight and tomorrow. I like to see Ken, he’s a really nice guy!

It’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS206 DT Theme 8-10-2016

So I found this really cool Patterned Paper by Authentique, but I failed to write down the name! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Wildflower Honey. The background is that piece of Authentique Paper. My little pieces of wheat are cut from another piece of Wildflower Honey and Slate with the Concord & 9th Layering Leaves Dies. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it on a piece of 48lb Vellum in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and then adhered the Vellum to the back of the paper and then adhered the paper to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Yes, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and some iridescent yellow sequins that I failed to write down the name of too! I do love the soft yellow and gray against the chevron patterned woodgrain and the leaves are so delicate and different! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Yes, it was another fun filled day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got all of my prep done for the Watercolor 101 Class! I also managed to get my card made for today too! Whoa! Look at me go! LOL! We had a few new people stop by the store and one decided that they would try this month’s card class! Love introducing new peeps to card making! I had a very relaxing ride home with the top down and the music up nice and loud. Dinner was my fave, homemade mac & cheese! After dinner I changed the cabin air filter in my car, it was black and clearly had never been changed. Yuck! The rest of the evening was nice and laid back. Today I want to start planning some future classes and get my thoughts in order for the Christmas Village classes!

Mid-week so that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS205 DT Sketch 8-03-2016

It’s Concord & 9th 1st Birthday this month! I used some of their goodies from the last release to create today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Joy from the Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lime Green and the snowflake and star from the O, Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Grape Juice and Soft Granite. The strip is backed with a piece of My Colors Lemon Lime and adhered to the card base. My shaker starts with a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the Joy from the Joy Set in Grape Juice and cut it out with the Concord & 9th Joy Die. The snowflakes are from the same set and are stamped in Soft Granite and then I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts to cut it, a piece of Acetate and another piece of White out. The Acetate is adhered to the back of the die cut piece with Scor-Tape and some Foam Tape is added to the back. I then added some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Sequin Mix, taking out the Silver and replacing them with Gold, to the well and adhered the backing to it. The shaker is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto another piece of Lemon Lime. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the shaker. A snowflake is cut out from Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts and adhered to the right side of the banner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Amethyst Sequins are added and the card is done! I love the nice bright green with the purple, you know me and my non-traditional holiday cards, and I love that Joy stamp and die set! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery after you get some more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team! Thank you for paying me a visit today! I wish you a wonderfully spectacular Wednesday! 🙂
