Paper Craft Crew 204

Hey, hey it’s Wednesday! LOL! I try to think up new ways to start off my posts! It was another very warm day here, still loving it! I got a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store including making my card for today! Yay for being productive! When I got home I had some dinner and then had a conference call with my friend Greg! After that Louis stopped by for a bit to pick up a Birthday card for his sister. We watched some YouTube and then I ran out to get gas in the car. I like to do it late at night, there are less people and then I don’t have to stop on my way in the morning! All about the planning… right?!

The card that I conjured up at the store is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS204 DT Sketch 7-27-2016

I wanted bright and fun, you’ll have to let me know know if I was successful! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Cyber Grape Card Stock and flicked some Copic Opaque White onto it. Once it was dry I adhered it to the card base with E-Z Runner. Down the right side is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Devotion Paper and a strip if Gold Mirror Card. My oval is a piece of Tropical Sea Card Stock that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. The stamped images are form the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the oval with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The hexagon is another piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with a die from the Spellbinders Hipster 1 Die D-Lites. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it over the hexagon with Foam Tape. You knew it was coming! LOL! I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Amethyst and Lime Sorbet Sequins for a little more sparkle and the card is done! I love that Lotus Stamp Set and the nice bold colors on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 202

Happy Hump Day peeps! Another fun day was had at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! In the morning I ran out with Renee’s boyfriend John to get some more hooks, I have run out and used most of Renee’s extras! Oops! When I got back to the store Renee had her Kid’s Class where they made a fun little pocket book. Everyone had a nice time and pizza was enjoyed for lunch! Around 2:00 I got the text that I have been waiting for! I’m an Uncle again! Tristan Shelby Krieger made her way into the world! She was 9lbs 8oz and 21 inches long! Here she is…

Tristan Shelby Krieger

With her uber chubby little cheeks! I think she is wondering why they put that hat on her! LOL! Her big brother Daniel is happy as can be and I reassured him that he is still my favorite! We played with his trucks when I got to my Parent’s and I got a big hug and a kiss and a I Wub You Untle when I left! Last night I went over and spent some time with Brian and Kim. We watched Me Before You, what a sad movie that was! It was good but really sad! By the time I got home from there it was 11:00 and time to start to think about calling it a night! Today I have to get ready for this month’s Card Class featuring Reverse Confetti! Fun!

After a week off we are back over on the Paper Craft Crew blog with their week’s challenge…

PCCCS202 DT Sketch 7-13-2016

I sort of went down the first row! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Copper. I partially heat embossed the Hero Arts Irregular Grid Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Soft Pink Ink. I had seen Yana Smakula do a similar thing with a card a few days ago and had to give it a try! The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of my images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam and the leaves are stamped in Green Apple Hybrid and Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and E-Z Runner with a few loops of Natural Twine tucked underneath. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder onto some Solar White 110lb, the left side is flagged and then it too is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A couple Pretty Pink Posh Marigold and SIP Copper Sequins are added and the card is done! I do like that funky background, makes for a nice change don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 201

So I made a little boo boo yesterday! I titled yesterday’s post Paper Craft Crew 201 and not SIP Challenge 54 when I did it Monday night! Yeah, that’s what I get for trying to work ahead! LOL! I had just uploaded my Paper Craft Crew card to the Design Team site and that is what I’m blaming the incorrect title on! So, today is the Paper Craft Crew 201 post! YAY! I think that I’m back on track but you never know when I may get derailed again! With all that I have going on it’s surprise me that I remember how to get back home at the end of the day! Anyway, yesterday was a good day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store… Hero Arts arrived, well, most of it! I love the new Ink Cube 4 Packs! Such cool color combos and they make the Color Layering Sets nice and easy to use! I got them entered and hung up! Renee’s Home Decor class was fun! All of the peeps really liked their projects! I will remember to take a picture… today! 😛 I left the store at 6:30 so I could get home in time to see my little buddy Daniel! He was extra cute, my parents got him some new trucks and he showed them all to me and how they worked and what they did! Such a smartie! After I had a little dinner I headed over to get Heather so we could do a BJ’s run. I needed stuff for lunch and she needed to pick up a ton of chicken wings to make for her sister’s block party this weekend. We stopped at George’s to drop off the chicken, he had more room in his fridge, and then went back to Heather’s and binge watched some YouTube videos! Today I have Lawn Fawn and Notions coming and I think that my buddy Sue is going to come up to the store to help! Wee!

Let’s see… Wednesday… ahh yes… I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog (got it right!) for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS201 DT Sketch 6-29-2016

I started making this card while I was at the store and finished it when I got home Monday night! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Using one of the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles I cut out a piece of paper from the Carta Bella Beach Day Line, the Beach Ball Bash 12×12 piece. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The ice cream cones and the greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cones in Soft Brown and Cup O Joe and the ice cream is stamped in Soft Vanilla and Butter Bar with the solid image stamped again over the top using Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts along with the cherry that is stamped in Red Royal. The cones are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and the ice cream and the cherry, that I added some Glossy Accents to, with Foam Tape. In the upper right is a piece of Daffodil Delight that I flagged, a red button has some random Baker’s Twine tied into a bow and then the flag is adhered with more E-Z Runner and the button with a Glue Dot and done! I love that teal woodgrain paper and the clear heat embossing really gives some nice texture to the ice cream! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! This one runs for two weeks so you have plenty of time to head on over to the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 54 – Colors from Sandy!

Another busy Monday for me at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got my Reverse Confetti Order! Thanks to Jen for the SUPER FAST Shipping!! That got all entered in and put out. I’ll be using it for this month’s Card Class too! It’s a fun new release, lots of Summer themed goodies! I also managed to get my Newsletter sent out! If you want to sign up for it you can go HERE! My parents stopped in to say hi while they were out running errands! I even got to start a card! Renee prepared for her Home Decor Class that she has tomorrow! I’ll have to take a picture of what they are doing and share it, it’s so cute! When I got home I had dinner with my parents and Taylor, yummy spaghetti! Before I settled in the house I had to run to the bank and when I was finished with that I completed my card for tomorrow! I’m a day ahead! YAY! That gave me some down time last night. Well, I was doing some research on companies for the store! 🙂

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s color challenge…

SIP Color Challenge 54 800

Lovely soothing colors from Sandy! I didn’t use the exact colors, I was at the store when I made my card so I used some Hero Arts Inks. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I stamped the cool floral cluster from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Solar White 80lb. The stamp set comes with solid images to fill in all of the flowers and leaves so I stamped them in Hero Arts Butter Bar, Soft Cantaloupe, Fresh Peach, Green Hills and Forever Green. The completed image panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black, some Foam Tape holds it to the card. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Lemon Drop, Tangerine and Shamrock Sequins and the card is done! I really enjoyed stamping all of the images with the fill in stamps and I love that greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge from Sandy! We hope to see your creations in the gallery so stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 200!

Ahh… Wednesday! Always seems to be the busiest day of the week for me lately! My Tuesday was a pretty busy one too! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was very busy! Renee has been having issues with her Dell Computer running Windows… need I say more?! After about an hour on the phone with Microsoft they finally determined that it was the last update that messed up the computer so we had to roll it back to fix it. I concentrated on getting some more orders in and working with my Rep on a  few things. The weather was just lovely again, the convertible makes me such a happy boy! When I got home from the store Daniel was still at my Parent’s and it was National Selfie Day so he and I haven’t had a selfie in a long time! Here is our contribution…

Daniel & Me NSD

Oh how I love that little boy! After I had some dinner I headed over to see my friend Sue! She was having some computer issues too so I got that straightened out and we sat and chatted for a bit on the front steps. When I got home I had to finish my card for today, last minute as usual! I need to work on my planning a little more! Today will be super busy at the store! I have Concord & 9th, Altenew and Notions arriving! Just in time for my class tomorrow! YAY!

Today is a special Wednesday post for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge! It’s our 200th one!! I am happy to say that I have been playing along since challenge 7!! Here is this week’s sketch…

PCCCS200 DT Sketch 6-22-2016

I wanted to play with my Hero Arts Seahorse again but I hadn’t used purple in a while so I Googled just to make sure that there are purple Seahorses and there are! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Paper Line, it’s the Devotion sheet. Next up I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and Cyber Grape. The pink is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. On my purple piece I used the seaweed from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed them in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. That panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I then adhered some purple and silver glitter tape to some Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the card on diagonals crossing each other. A piece of Pale Aqua is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables and adhered to the card with more E-Z Runner. My images are all from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Seahorse is stamped in Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Intense Black, the Starfish in Wet Cement and Cup O Joe and the Shell in Soft Pink and Wet Cement. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the circle. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder on more Ballerina Pink and tucked under the circle. Of course I added some Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Pink Peony and Amethyst Sequins for a little sparkle! I love that patterned paper and the super cool Seahorse! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the 200th Challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog! There is some blog candy and all sorts of other goodness going on over on the BLOG so go and check it out! While you’re there make a card and enter it in the gallery to help us celebrate! Paper Craft Crew 199

Another busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The weather was just lovely yesterday and it made it a little harder to concentrate! I stopped by my old work to drop a card off for my friend Valerie! It was so good to see her! I was bummed that no one from my old department was there but Nancy was getting an award for something, no surprise there! She is very dedicated to her work! Despite the fact that I kept going outside all day I still managed to get a lot done. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s in time to see my little buddy Daniel! We played outside for a bit and then I had dinner, dropped my stuff off at my house and headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday! A good time as always! Today I have a bunch of orders arriving and my friend Sue is going to come by the store and help! That will be fun!

It’s Wednesday so I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS199 DT Sketch 6-15-2016

I’m getting in the habit of taking supplies with me to the store so I can work on my cards while I’m there. I look like a bag person when I leave the house in the morning! LOL! Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 80lb cut to 5″ x 10″ and folded in half. I covered the front with a piece of Battleship Gray. Across the top is a piece of Bo Bunny Toy Box Paper, the Cheerful piece to be exact. In the lower left is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags & Accessories Die. I used my Artisan X-Plorer to cut and emboss it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flowers and leaves are from the Altenew Vintage Roses Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink. The leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Lemon and Butter Bar and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Foam Tape to adhere them to the card. A small flag is cut from a piece of Pink and adhered slightly under the flower at the top. My greeting, from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set, is heat embossed on another piece of Pink and cut out with the Taylored Expressions ? Die. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I decided that it needed a little bling so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and Gold Sequins. I love the colors, especially the leaves stamped in the bright yellow! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards, including the latest addition… my friend Andrea! Add your card to the gallery so we can see your take! Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Hmm… my week is a little off! I thought that today was Tuesday because we had off Monday?! I guess my excitement that Friday will be here before I know it will make up for all of that confusion!! LOL! So happy Wednesday! Before I headed over to the store this morning I stopped by Heather’s and fixed her mouse on her work computer. I was thanked with a nice breakfast of eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast! SO much for that diet! But, I was good for the rest of the day! On the way to work there was traffic on the parkway and there usually isn’t. Well, low and behold some truck driver decided that he would use a bridge as a can opener! As I drove by the scene the roof of the truck was still laying in the road. I know I saw a sign about clearance, guess he didn’t! The store was busy and Renee and I both worked on different projects. We also had salad for lunch, we are starting a new healthy eating kick! After I got home, top down in the car again, I had a sandwich for dinner and then ran to BJ’s the get some things before settling in for the evening. Today I have some more product coming into the store and a lot of paperwork related stuff to do! I’m going to try and get some crafty time in too!

Since it is Wednesday that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS197 DT Sketch 6-01-2016

My card is way out of my comfort zone today! I used some really bright colors! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I masked off the square with Post-it Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I used the same method to apply Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet to two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. They are adhered to the card at angles to match the sketch. My cityscape is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Dies and is adhered on top of the inked panels. The little taxi and greeting are from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set and are both heat embossed in Black Embossing Powder, the taxi on Hello Honey and the greeting on Desert Storm 80lb. I flagged the left side of the greeting and used Foam Tape to adhere them both to the card. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Marigold, Lime Sorbet and Onyx Sequins complete the card! I have to say that I really do love the bright colors against the subdued colors of the taxi and greeting and that City Die is so cool!! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Designer’s have done and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 196

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS196 DT Sketch 5-25-2016

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and tale a peek at the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a happy Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 195

Another odd weather day here yesterday! I know we had little tastes of Spring but I’m ready for it to come and stay please! Brian came by and picked me up in the morning so we could go and get some things for my project and drop them off. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and Brian Had his little girl Savannah with us. She has the most infections little laugh! You just can’t help but smile when you hear it! Renee had fun playing with her for a little bit. On the way home we stopped and got her a Happy Meal from McDonald’s, one of the only things that she will eat! Brian dropped me back off at the house and Heather called. She asked if I wanted to get lunch and go over by her so I stopped at Subway and picked up two sandwiches. Always a good time with Heather! When I got back home Taylor was here doing her usual binge watching bad TV on Hulu! I FaceTimed with Andrea and made my card for today. She got some spiffy new glasses and they look really nice on her! After dinner Taylor and I ran out to Bed Bath and Walmart so I could pick up a few things. Today, yup you guessed it, lots more to get done!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS195 DT Sketch 5-18-2016

I like it when I can use just one stamp set to make a card and that’s what just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Photopolymer Stamp Set. For the strip across the bottom I heat embossed the clouds in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum and put adhesive on the part that would be hidden behind the square. That square is a piece of Marina Mist that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The clouds, hot air balloon and banner are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. Some Silver Sequins are added with two Basic Jewels Rhinestones in the middles of the larger ones. I do love that set, the sketched look gives the images a nice soft feel to them. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the cards created by the Team and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂
