SIP Challenge 88 – Anything But a Card!

Is it just me or do Monday’s seem to last a little longer than other days of the week?! I had a good day despite that! Renee and I worked on projects as always. My friend Arnise stopped by to get some Lawn Fawn goodies and I left a little early. When I got home I took a little nap before dinner and then had a few errands to run before settling in for a smidge of TV before bed. Today more projects and planning, never a dull moment at the Store! 😀

Now on to today’s post, it’s time for a new challenge from Stamp, Ink, Paper

I made a fun little box using Lawn Fawn’s new Fancy Box Lawn Cuts. The box is cut from Moonstone using the die, folded and assembled with some Scor-Tape. To decorate the top I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders and the Lawn Fawn Little Picket Fence Border dies to cut out two pieces of Crisp Green for the hillsides and a piece of Solar White 80lb for the fence. I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, trimmed them to fit on the lid of the box, stamped my greeting and adhered them to lid. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Jet Black. I colored them in with my Copics and cut them out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I added some Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pen to the candles and a few 3D Foam Squares adhere the images to the lid and the box is done! I think this would make a nice way to give a gift card or a little prezzie! I hope that you like my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Anything But a Card Challenge! Take a little time to go over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and add your project to the gallery! Thanks for stopping by to visit me today! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 87 – Kindness!

Made it through another Monday! LOL! The Store was fun with Renee’s Home Decor Class. I got to see my friends Melissa, Debbie and Marianne, we had a good laugh! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and the chatted with my friend Greg in Indiana for a while. So good to get all caught up! Today, more projects and crafty fun! 😀

Now it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

Kindness, something we really need more of! The idea for today’s card started off with the world map and evolved from there. The world map is from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink onto a piece of Moonstone that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts. I added some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to the image and heat embossed it. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the envelopes in Wet Cement and the hearts in Soft Pink, Pale Tomato and Crimson Hybrid. The greeting is stamped in Onyx Black. I adhered the world map piece with Fun Foam and Tombo Extreme and the card is done! I love that Map Love Set, it’s retired but I still have one left in the Store! The Acts of Kindness set is also a favorite and I’ll have those back in soon! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great inspiration for you over on the BLOG so head on over and take a look! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 86 – Colors!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I have to admit that I’m a big romantic at heart! A lot of people think that Valentine’s Day is just a made up Holiday but I think that it’s the perfect day to show someone that you care a lot about how much they mean to you! Not that you should have to wait for Valentine’s Day to do that, you should make it point to do it as often as possible! If we all focused more on love and less on hate what a wonderful world this would be! And to that I had a lovely day at the Store yesterday. Renee and I do manage to have a good time in between all of the work and planning! When I got home I had a quick dinner with my Parents and then went out with Heather to Stop & Shop and then back to her house. My friend Louis stopped by to pick up some cards for his loved ones and I got to see George for a bit before I left. Renee is off today so I will be manning the Store. Stop by and show me some love if you are in the area! 😀

Today we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you, this time it’s colors…

I haven’t watercolored in a while and I wanted to so that’s what I did on today’s card. I started by heat embossing the rose and stem from the Altenew Sketchy Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Arches 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper. To add my color I used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors and #2 and #4 Silver Paint Brushes. I used my Heat Tool to dry the layers in between adding color and adhered the panel to a background of Black. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black. All that was left to do was to adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love that rose image and I’m so happy with the way the shading turned out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! We hope to see your card in the gallery after you stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for visiting! Have a romantic Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 85 – Love!

What a nice Monday that turned out to be! The weather was pleasant, it won’t be later in the week, and the Store was busy! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class and there were some new ladies in it! A very funny and group indeed! I got some projects completed and still have a ton more to do! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and continued the purge! Feels so good to get rid of things and have less clutter! Can’t wait to do some more tonight! Renee is off from the Store today and my friend Sue will be coming by to spend some time with me! 😀

Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

Ahh… love! And just in time for Valentine’s Day! I have been a little obsessed with stamped backgrounds lately and today I have another one! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. To create my background I used the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Jet Back, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf Crisp Inks. I trimmed the panel to 5 1/4 by 4. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder along with the hearts from the set onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the bottom at an angle and folded the top over the stamped background, the whole thing is adhered with E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I really love that Painted Flowers Set, it’s one of the more forgiving layering sets and I think it creates a very nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s creations and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you so much for stopping by today! SIP Challenge 84 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

Now that was a busy Monday! I got my Lawn Fawn Pre-Order all tallied up and sent off. Renee and I worked on ideas for upcoming fun at the Stores. I got lots accomplished too thanks to Renee, she has the ability to reel me in! LOL! After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor and did a little laundry. Today, more planning! Oh, and some snow later, grrr! 😀

Today is Tuesday so that means it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I got some new goodies from Sunny Studios and I used one of my personal faves on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Moonstone Blue and across the lower half is a piece of Photoplay This Guy 12×12 Paper. I also cut a piece of the This Guy Paper out with the Lawn Fawn Large and Small Stitched Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts to create a frame. My “rug” is a piece of Authentique 12×12 Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The images and greeting are from the Sunny Studios That Sucks Photopolymer Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. I stamped the vacuum in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. Inside the frame I adhered a piece of Chinese Red and heat embossed the sentiment in hero Arts White Embossing Powder with the end of the sentiment also heat embossed, in the lower right of the card. The “suck” is die cut from Black and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Hemptique Black & White Baker’s Twine for my cord and adhered the vacuum with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins and three Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars complete the card! I really do love the little sad vacuum and the sentiment is great! SIP Challenge 83 – A Sketch!

Well, we definitely got that Nor’easter yesterday! Crazy winds and lots of rain last night. There were power lines down and all sorts of other storm related things happening. I was glad to be in the house, binge watching This is Us! Completely addicted to the show, I’m up to episode 9! The earlier part of yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy. Renee had her Home Decor Class, lots of people coming in to paint their wood pieces. I managed to get a few things done and ran to the Post Office to mail out some crafty goodness, always a highlight of the day! Today, more projects to do! Love my job! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

The first thing I did to create my card was to stamp the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Photopolymer Stamp in Hero Arts Soft Brown and the heart and love from the Concord & 9th Tree Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Crimson Hybrid using my Mini MISTI onto Ivory 110lb, I triple stamped the tree ring and double stamped the heart and love. They are trimmed out with my Scissors and put aside. To my card base of Ivory 110lb I adhered a piece of Carta Bella Beach Day Surf Shop 12×12 Paper. Much the Renee’s delight I inked the edges with Soft Brown using my Mini Ink Blending Tool! (she likes to ink everything!) The paper is then adhered, a little askew, to the base. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring and heart to the card. I slipped a piece of Chinese Red in between. It needed a little subtle sparkle so I added some Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Sand Sequins and the card is finished! We all know how I love a little woodgrain and that’s why I love that Paper and Tree Ring Stamp! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and get inspired by the rest of the Team and add your card to the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a nice Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 82 – Natural Elements!

Still not feeling great! It has been over a week, I’m over the stuffy head! I was only at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store in the morning, I left around 2:00 to go over and work on some things with my friend Sue. I got to see my friend Buddy too! He’s a 60+ pound lap dog! LOL! So lovable and cute though! After I left Sue’s I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and then it was time for TV once again. I wish I had more energy when I get home, time go cold! 😀

I’m having another big SALE over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store Web Store! You can take 30% off anything in the CHA Clearance section and 40% off all products in the 2016 Holiday collection! The sale is on through Wednesday! The codes are CHAFIN17 for the 30% and CHAHOLFIN17 for the 40%!

I did make a quick card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and that’s what I have to share with you today…

Ahh… Natural Elements, we all know how I enjoy a little woodgrain! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. I wanted a piece of newsprint and couldn’t find one so I went to good old Google and printed a sheet out from there. It’s cut out with the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies and adhered to the background with E-Z Runner. My tag is a piece of Kraft and I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp on it in Hero Arts Soft Brown Ink. A piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied through the top and the tag is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting and all of the other images are from the January My Monthly Hero Kit. I heat embossed the greeting onto the bottom of the tag with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. My images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, the rose and bow in Red Royal and the leaves in Green Hills and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and used a Craft Knife to cut slits in the jar so I could pass the stem through. Everything except for the bow is adhered with Tombo Dot Runner. I used a 3D Foam Square to adhered the bow. A little dot of Multi-Matte Medium holds the twine in place and the card is done! I have said it before, I love the way flowers look against a woodgrain background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Natural Elements Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see what I have been up! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 81 – Black, White and a Pop of Color!

It’s funny how someone as cute as that little boy Daniel can wreak so much havoc! He successfully got my Mum, Taylor and I all sick! I haven’t been sick in over 4 years! When I went to Walgreen’s to get a decongestant I had no idea what to buy! The one that I did get did nothing! I have gone through an entire box of tissues today! Enough complaining! LOL! I did manage to go to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and get some of my things done. My friend Janine stopped by, always nice to see her. I did leave around 4:00 and when I came home all I wanted to do was take a nap. Taylor had already claimed the couch so I went into the bedroom. I should have turned off my phone because it didn’t stop! LOL! Finally I got a call from Heather asking me if I wanted to run to IKEA and stop and get some dinner so I figured might as well! We did have a nice time and I managed to get home by 9:30, typed my posts for today and crawled into bed. Hopefully I will be feeling a little better as today goes on! I hate being sick! 🙁

On a happy note it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge

I dug around in my stash and found another Holiday set that I thought I could turn into a non-Holiday card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Hexagon Dies to cut out some Black and Chinese Red, making one of them a frame. To the back of that frame I adhered a piece of Acetate and then a layer of 3M Foam Tape to create a well for some Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins. I adhered a large red hexagon to the back and then adhered all of the hexagons to the card. My bear and cup are from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the right side of the shaker with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Pretty Pink Posh Fox Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I was going to add some more sequins but I thought that it would take away from the nice simple design. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Black, White and a Pop of Color Challenge! We hope that you will take some time and share your card with us in the gallery! Head over the BLOG, the rest of the Team has some great inspiration cards for you! Thank you so much for stopping by here! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 80 – Card Makers Choice!

Well, yesterday was definitely a Monday! When I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store I found out that we had no electricity! One thing after another! Renee and Angie were there so I decided that I would come home and work on some projects that I needed to get finished. It was a rainy day anyway and what better place to be than in the Stampin’ Galley! I did that until dinner time and then after that I came home and watched a little TV before running to Target to get a few essentials. Hopefully the power will be back on at the Store today! Who knows what’s next! 😀

I’m happy to announce that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I have been on a quest lately to come up with relatively simple cards that don’t look simple! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Basic Gray. The background is a piece of paper from the Authentique Believe 12×12 Collection. My greeting is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock and a piece of Black 110lb. The black is adhered to a piece of 48lb Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then the Silver Glitter is adhered on top and slightly offset. Next I added a few Silver, Watermelon and Mossy Green Pretty Pink Posh Sequins. After they dried I applied a little Multi-Matte Medium behind the greeting and sequins to adhered the Vellum to the card. I think that card definitely doesn’t look simple but it really wasn’t too complicated to put together and is easily duplicated if you wanted to make a set as a gift for someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Maker’s Choice Challenge! Make sure you stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s fantastic inspiration cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting today! Have an exciting Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 79 – Anything But Christmas!

Yes, another freezing cold day! What a way to start the week… NOT! Luckily when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store my Lawn Fawn and MFT orders were delivered early so I got those checked in. Almost all of the Lawn Fawn is gone! Guess I’ll have to do a re-order on that one! I had to run to the Post Office to mail out some orders and the line was crazy long but I ended up talking to lady in front of me which made for a nice wait. When I got back to the store I worked on my card for today which was a lot of fun to make! After work I went over to Geroge’s to have dinner with Heather and him. From there Heather and I went out to see Patty and Tom for a bit. When we got back to Geroge’s we hung out for a while, watched some TV and then I came home. Today I have a lot that I want to get accomplished, I would like to start working on my cards for next month’s class and get a Newsletter out! 😀

It’s Holiday Sale time over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Use discount code SIPHOLIDAY16 and take 25% off everything in the Holiday 2106 Collection!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I don’t know about you but I’m all Christmas’d out at this point! LOL! Plus now is a good time to get a head start on all of those thank you and birthday cards that you will need for the new year! I used the December My Monthly Hero Kit to make a very sparkly birthday card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Party Confetti Fancy Die to cut out a stencil from a piece of Solar White 80lb. I taped the stencil over the card front with some Washi Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply Grape Juice Ink. Next up I cut out a frame from a piece of Gold Glitter Card using the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangles Dies and adhered a piece of Acetate and a perimeter of 3m From Tape to the back. Some Little Things by Lucy Purple Velvet Sequins Mix is added to the card front and the frame is adhered over the top to seal in all of that sparkly goodness! My images and greeting are from the December My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The greeting is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb, they are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All of the images and greeting are then adhered to the Acetate with more 3M Foam Tape. I do love all of the sparkle from the Gold Glitter Card and Sequins! What a fun birthday this will be to send to someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Anything But Christmas Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! This challenge will run for two weeks so you have plenty of time play along!
