Now that was a rainy, windy nasty day yesterday! It rained all day, that drizzly kind. One of those days that you would have much rather stayed home. Work was nutty, but that’s to be expected for the rest of the week. I came home and got to see Daniel at dinner. He is starting to walk already! He’s not even a year old, he’s really quite the clever little boy. Must take after his uncle! LOL! I went to see Heather for a bit last night and then came home and watched Forever, still really enjoying it! If you haven’t checked it out you can see all of the episodes on Watch ABC. It’s supposed to rain all day today too, oh well, what can you do?!
Oh yes! For two days I have forgotten to mention the 2014 Holiday Supplement Catalog! All products in the catalog are available while supplies last and it’s packed full of great quick and easy project ideas! If you would like a copy you can download one HERE!
Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS color challenge from my friend Sandy…
Silver or Gold, glad I read that a second time before I got to work on my card, I would have done both! Today, my card starts with a base of Basic Black Card Stock. I trimmed a piece of Kraft Card Stock and used the Dotty Angles Photopolymer Stamp Set and some Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the right side. I used Fast Fuse to adhere it to the base, things sometimes get a little curly when you heat emboss so I wanted to make sure that it stayed down. Just before I stuck it in place I put a piece of Linen Thread behind it. For my feathers I used some Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Four Feathers Stamp Set to heat emboss one on Vellum. They other one is a piece of Gold Foil Sheet and they are both cut out with the Feathers Framelits. A little SNAIL near the bottom adheres them to the card. Back to the Linen Thread which I tied one of the Gold Basic Metal Buttons to in a neat little bow. My greeting is from the Christmas Tagables Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black and punched out with the Hexagon Punch. A Stampin’ Dimensionals holds it in place and completes today’s card. I just really love the way the Kraft looks with the black and gold. Simple yet elegant but in an understated way. It’s a very non-tradittional Holiday card but a quick change of the greeting and it would work for so much more! I hoeo that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS Silver or Gold challenge from Sandy. I really enjoyed making it to share with you! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Thursday! 🙂
