Freshly Made Sketches 215

Ahh yes… Friday is still my favorite day of the week! I had a very nice day yesterday! I got some craftiness in in the morning and then went to have lunch with Heather. I stopped at the deli to pick up sandwiches and bumped into Brian! After lunch I came back home and stopped at my parent’s to see Daniel for a bit. Later on Heather came by and we ran up to BJ’s to get some goodies for Thirsty Thursday! She dropped me off and I followed her back to her house. I love Thirsty Thursday, we always have a great time and a really good laugh! By the time I got back home it was 12:00 and I was ready for bed! This morning I’m off to get a haircut and then I have some serious crafty things to get done!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 215

A banner! I do love a banner! LOL! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. Across the top is a piece of paper from the Heidi Swapp Hello Today 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 Paper Pad, a strip of Blushing Bride and a thin strip of Gold Glimmer Paper. They are adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My banner is a piece of Crumb Cake cut out with the Banners Framelits. I used the Concord & 9th Being Classy Dies cut out the kind and then stamped the word from the Being Classy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Night of Navy in the negative part. The banner is the adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I die cut the Fun Foam with the kind die to make it sturdier. The so is also from the same set and is stamped again in Night of Navy on the banner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I love the font in the Being Classy Stamp Set and the coordinating dies are awesome! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you so much for visiting and enjoy your Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 273 & New Goodies!

Another rainy day means another crafty day! I managed to get a few projects finished in the morning and then I took a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee for a little bit. When I got back home there were some goodies waiting in the mailbox for me! I love new stamps and I especially love it when they are from a new company! I used some of the new stuff on today’s card and little project! After dinner I went over to see Heather for a bit, she had a procedure done on her back and I wanted to keep her company for a little while. She also needed her wreath fixed so I brought over the hot glue gun and took card of that! Upon arriving back at my house I sat down and played for a while. I have been crafting later and later, the creativity either comes early in the morning or late at night lately. I’ll take creativity whenever I can get it!

My card and project that I have for you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #273

Ahh… a Tic-Tac-Toe board from Sandy! You know how I can’t resist trying to cover the entire board, let’s see if I managed to! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background consists of a piece of Night of Navy and a piece of paper from a 6×6 pad that I picked up while I was in London. The pad is called Silent Night and it’s from First Edition by TrimCraft. A piece of Gold 1/8″ Metallic Ribbon is adhered around the back and then the panel is adhered to the card with some Easy Runner Grand Adhesive. The HAPPY is from the Simon Says Stamp Happy and Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Basic Gray and adhered over the ribbon with Foam Tape. My Christmas is cut out from a piece of Gold Foil Sheet with the Simon Says Stamp Happy Winter and Christmas Dies. I adhered it to a piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the same die and then to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The snowflakes are from a new die set from Concord & 9th called Take a Bough. They are cut from American Crafts Glitter Paper and also adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins are adhered in the middles of the snowflakes and finish off the card. Now that super cute Christmas Tree is also created with the Take a Bough Dies and is cut from Garden Green. After the branches are all assembled (there is a great video HERE showing you how to do that!) I slid them onto a bamboo skewer that I colored with Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink. My star is cut from a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper twice and adhered back to back on the top of the skewer. Around the tree is a strand of the Concord & 9th 3MM Red Sequin Strand, it’s looks just like garland! I LOVE that little tree and the fact that you can also use the dies to make snowflakes is just cool! Get it… snowflakes… cool! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card and tree for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! Let’s See Snowflake, yup, Patterned Paper, yup, White, yup, Blue, yup, Sparkle and Shine, yup, Embossing, yup, Ribbon, yes, Tree, check and Die Cuts, definitely! I covered all nine boxes! WEE! Thank you so much for coming by today! I wish you all a satisfying Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 25 – Card Maker’s Choice!

I’m not gonna lie, that was a long day yesterday! I was at Scrap-A-Latte from 10:00am until 4:00pm, I even got to chat with Mr. Trent for a bit, and the I ran home to get all of the stuff together for last night’s The Ton Class at The Ink Pad! I took the 5:15pm train and it was packed, there was an Islander’s game at The Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The train got into Penn Station late but I decided that I would walk down to The Ink Pad, I need the exercise! LOL! I made it from 34th to 13th in 15 minutes! My long legs come in handy sometimes! Class was great and I think that everyone had fun! I have to say that teaching a card class has to be one of my favorite things to do! At one point I looked out the window and there was my friend Kim! She went next door and had some Subway and came back when class was wrapping up. We chatted for a bit while Abby and I cleaned up and then I decided that I would walk back to Penn. I said goodbye to Kim and when I got back to the station it was packed, the game was over, YAY! The train was packed again on the way home but I managed to get a seat by myself, there was some sort of delay at Jamaica so by the time I got home it was 11:30. A long day but a fun one!

Tuesday and it’s time once again for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week it’s Card Maker’s Choice…

SIP Any Challenge 25 800

A nice easy one, especially welcome during the busy holiday season! I made a nice quick Christmas card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of one of my all time favorite stacks from Stampin’ Up!, Adventure Bound. I used the Simon Says Stamp Decorative Ornaments Photopolymer Stamp Set to heat emboss one of the ornaments in Recollections Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. The hanger is heat embossed in Ranger Gold Embossing Powder and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Holiday Ornaments Dies. I adhered it to the card with SNAIL and tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Cord in a bow and adhered it to the ornament with a Bling Glue Dot. The Merry Christmas is actually a package decoration that I picked up from the Target Dollar Spot and covered it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with some more Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. Some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium Holds it to the card. I really do love that Designer Series Paper and the way the Merry Christmas looks all sparkly! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for sharing a little bit of your day with me! Mojo Monday 426

It’s the last Monday in November… can you believe that?! Where has this year gone?! It feels like I was just walking around Manhattan with Michael a few weeks ago! And walking around London with Brian a few days ago! Time really does fly when you are having fun so I guess that I have been having a good time! Yesterday I managed to get most of my crafty stuff done, still more to do but I get in my own way sometimes and YouTube is a really big distraction, for me anyway! LOL! This morning I’m going to go and watch Scrap-A-Latte for Renee and then I have my Ton class at The Ink Pad this evening. I’m looking forward to that! It will be a late night but it’s all good!

The start of another week and a new Mojo Monday sketch! Here is this week’s…

Mojo426

I had some more fun with the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered with a piece of Real Red. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles and Squares to cut out my windows. A piece of Acetate is adhered to the back with SNAIL and then two layers of Foam Tape. The background is a piece of paper from The PinkFresh Studios Christmas Wishes 6×6 Paper Pad. Some Recollections Red and Teal Sequins along with a few Red Seed Beads are sprinkled on the background and the window is adhered over to seal them in. Two more pieces of Real Red are flagged and I used my Tuxedo Black Marker to go around the edges before adhering them to the card. The house and greeting are from the PinkFresh Studios Christmas Wishes Puffy Stickers Pack and are adhered with Foam Tape. A scattering of Jillybean Soup Red and Teal Self Adhesive Sequins are adhered to the card from top right to bottom left. I do love the teal and red together and the puffy stickers are fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your card in the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 172

Hey there! Do you have all of your festivities planned for Thanksgiving? Will you be going Black Friday shopping until the wee hours of the morning? The answer to both of those questions for me would be no! LOL! I’m not a huge fan of lines and I’ll be going next door to Mum & Dad’s for Thanksgiving. Yesterday was a little colder here than it has been. I played in the new and improved Stampin’ Galley for a bit in the morning and then ran over to see Renee and Angie at Scrap-A-Latte for a little bit before coming back home and spending a little time with little Daniel. After dinner I headed over to Heather’s and we ran to Target and then back to her house for an early Thirsty Thursday! Brian and Patty even came! Always a good time when spent with my peeps! Today I’m going to try and get some serious creative time in and get some on-line things done! It’s supposed to be in the 60’s here on Thursday so I plan to enjoy some outdoor time then!

It’s mid-week so I’m back over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS172 DT Sketch 11-25-2015

I used a whole bunch of different products on today’s card! Love when you can mix things from different companies and have them play nicely together! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and it’s cut so that when it’s folded it makes a 4 1/4″ square card. My background consists of a piece of paper from an old My Mind’s Eye 6×6 Pad called The Merry Days of Christmas on the top and a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper across the bottom. I used the Simon Says Stamp Frames Craft Dies to cut out a piece of Early Espresso and Crumb Cake that I stamped with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Crumb Cake. They are held together on the back with some tape and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The tree is form the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Catkin, Green Leaf and Hero Arts White Unicorn Ink. I used the coordinating Frame Cuts to cut it out and adhered it to the frame with SNAIL. Finally, the greeting is from the same Hero Arts Set and is stamped in Green Leaf with the ends flagged and adhered to the card with some more Foam Tape. I do love the bit of sparkle from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the eclectic mix of elements! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! SIP Challenge 24 – Colors!

So, I got up late again yesterday! I have to stop that! LOL! I did have a very productive day despite my late start. I went on a cleaning frenzy! All of the stuff that has spilled out of the Stampin’ Galley into the living room has been reorganized and put into the Stampin’ Galley! I spent a few hours making room and rearranging things so that it would all fit! I now have my living room back and even put up my extremely non-traditional Christmas tree! I like to let it settle for a few days before I decorate it. As soon as I have it decorated I will post a picture. I’m warning you, it’s VERY non-traditional! But when it comes to Christmas, that’s me! Later on after dinner I took a ride up to Michaels and Target with Taylor. I had a few things to get and found some things that I didn’t need! Isn’t that always the way it is?!

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We have some fun colors for you…

SIP Color Challenge 24 800

It reminded Carolyn of Summer, but that’s because in Australia they are heading into Summer! Me, I thought of Christmas! I wanted to play with a few new goodies that I received in the mail yesterday so I used them for today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb with a piece of Black 110lb covering the front. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. I used the Simon Says Stamp Chisholm Wreath Die to cut out a piece of Cucumber Crush for the wreath and Watermelon Wonder for the bow and berries. They are adhered to the background with 2-Way Glue. The greeting is cut from Watermelon Wonder and Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Dies. I adhered them to one another and the card with more 2-Way Glue. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium in between the berries. I added some Glossy Accents to the berries for little more dimension. A quick brush of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen over the Merry and the card is done! I love that intricate wreath and the bow and berries that go with it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Head on over to the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your project in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Freshly Made Sketches 213

Yes, I’m very late this morning, I woke up with a doozy of a headache, hate when that happens! It’s finally started to subside. Yesterday I was at Scrap-A-Latte for most of the day. The morning and night classes were fun as always and everyone really enjoyed the projects. I’ll have them tomorrow morning for you to take a look! I stopped at Target on the way home to pick up the all important 1/2 & 1/2! Today I’m going to try and get some things accomplished before heading back over to Scrap-A-Latte for tonight’s class. I have a lot of things that I’m working on and I need to got a move on! Tomorrow I’ll be at The Ink Pad, always love my time there! What are you up to this weekend?!

Last night after I got home I sat down and made my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 213

I went with a very clean and simple shaker card! Yes, I do love a shaker, don’t I?! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Black 110lb. Across the lower part of the card is a piece of Recollections Shimmer Card Stock. My frame is cut from some My Colors Pale Aqua using the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Frame Die. I adhered a piece of Real Red Across the bottom that I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders Dies on to give it that “ribbon” look. The rest of the greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Celebration Photopolymer Stamp Set that I got for free with an order that I place in September and it’s stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered a piece of Window Sheet to the back of the frame using Score Tape and built up the sides with Foam Tape to hold some Hazel and Ruby The Makery Shine and Sparkle Sequins along with some Red Seed beads. All that was left to do is peel of the Foam Tape backing and adhere it to the card! I really like the aqua with the red on the black and yes, I am totally addicted to shaker cards! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks so much for visiting today and I wish you all a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 271

The sun came out for a little while yesterday and today it’s supposed to be rainy. Brian stopped by yesterday to work on a little project that he is making and I worked on my card for today. After he left I ran over to Scrap-A-Latte to cut for class. From there it was back home and then over to my parent’s for dinner. It really is convenient living right next door! When I got back home I watched the Zedd True Colors concert from San Francisco on YouTube and then watched a few crafty videos. I also continued the purge for a little bit. This morning I’m back over to Scrap-A-Latte for two classes today, I’ll run home in between and get a little crafty on! What’s on for you today?

The card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #271

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to use! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Night of Navy covering the entire front. The stamp is from Hero Arts and is called Snowy Scene. I inked it with Hero Arts Pool to Navy Ombre Ink and stamped it on a piece of Solar White 80lb. My greeting is two parts, the die cut is from the Ellen Hutson Essential by Ellen Zipper Panel Set and is cut from another piece of Night of Navy and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The stamped part is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set and is inked with the middle of the Ombre Pad. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. To give it a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the stamped image. I LOVE that Snowy Scene Stamp, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it and it looks so cool stamped in the Pool to Navy Ombre Ink! I hope that you enjoy my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge!! Thank you so much for visiting today and I wish you all a thrilling Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew Theme 171

So how is your week going so far? Mine isn’t too bad, I actually got a lot accomplished around the house yesterday! Brian came over in the morning and helped me rearrange the furniture in my bedroom and it seems much bigger now! I dusted and vacuumed the whole house and then went on a purge spree! Love when I get in that mood! I like to keep boxes that things come in, not the best idea when you have a very small apartment! I threw out a ton of boxes and other crap that I no longer need! Feels so good! I had dinner with my parents, brother and Daniel. He was a bit cranky yesterday because he skipped his nap! I get like that too! LOL! Later on I ran up to Michael’s to get a few supplies and then came home and crafted for a bit before watching Limitless! Love that show!

Well, it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge and it’s a theme…

PCCCS171 DT Theme 11-18-2015

Thank you cards, you can never have enough of those! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I covered the entire front in a piece of Kraft Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I stamped some leaves, well, a lot of leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Apple of My Pie Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and then heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They are colored in with my Paintbrush, some water and Yellow Ochre, Vermillion, Crimson Red and Deep Green Royal Langnickel Watercolors. Here is what the panel looks like by itself…

PCCCT171 Background-WM

After they dried I adhered the panel to the card with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. The greeting is also form the Apple of My Pie Stanp Set and is heat embossed with more Gold on Vellum. I cut the frame out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut from another piece of Kraft, heat embossed a additional greeting on the bottom of the frame and adhered the greeting to it. I decided at the last minute that I could make this a shaker card so I adhered 3M Foam Tape along the edges and filled it with some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti. I do love that greeting and the way that you can still make out the leaves behind it and see the confetti! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team have done and enter your card in the gallery! SIP Challenge 23 – A Sketch!

Another lovely day here on Long Island! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day, I worked on some cards, practiced calligraphy with a nib and ink (my fingers are a little black!) and had a visit from Brian! I also got to speak to Michael for a while, so good to actually talk to him! When I came home Daniel was still at my parent’s and he filled me on the events of the day while I ate dinner. He’s so animated when he tells his stories! From there it was home to get crafty for a bit before getting ready for bed.

Moving right along with the week it’s Tuesday and that means another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Sketch Challenge 23 800

I do love a tag on a sketch! My card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background strip is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Altitude Collection 6×6 Paper Pad. A strip of Silver Glimmer Paper goes across the lower half of the card. My tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb and Blackberry Bliss. I ran the White tag though the Big Shot again with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake Die to get the negative of the die cut. The white tag is then adhered to the Blackberry Bliss one. I stamped my greeting and snowflakes from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate ink. A piece of cord from the Lawn Trimmings Vivid Lawn Trimmings set is tied though the top and the tag is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered to the tag and complete the card! I do love a negative die cut and the non-traditional colors in the paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and take a look at the rest of the Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will make one to add to the gallery to share with us! Thanks for stopping by today! I wish you all a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
