SIP Challenge 30 – Colors!

It was way too cold for me here yesterday, 32?! Nope, too cold! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day and I even made a little card with some scraps. Sandy stopped by to see me for a little while and I spoke to Renee who was busy meeting with people and running around CHA! I got home around 7:20 and ate some chili from mum. I got an order from Stampin’ Up! yesterday too, can’t wait to play with some of those new goodies! I’m back at Scrap-A-Latte again today, everything in the store is 20% off and all patterned paper and embellishments are 40% off, Renee needs to make some room for the new stuff that is coming! I also have somewhat of a big milestone coming up on Friday, I’ll tell you more about that then!

Tuesday and it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge, this week we have some colors for you to work with…

SIP 30 Color Challenge 800

I made a fun card using a bunch of die cuts layered together! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Rose Red. Some Crumb Cake is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals and adhered to the Rose Red rectangle and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Another piece of Rose Red is cut out with the Calliope Flourish Craft Die and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Some Gold Foil Sheet is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Ariana Wreath and Leanna Butterfly. I adhered the wreath with Multi-Matte Medium and the butterfly with a piece of Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed on a piece of Vellum with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. That is also adhered with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. I love all of the layered die cuts and the fun simple greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Be sure and stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards, Don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Made it thorough Monday! Yay! Thanks for all of the well wishes on the new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! I can’t wait to see the cards appear in the gallery! We had some issues with the Inlinkz yesterday but Eva helped me get that straightened out! It was a nice day here, it started off a little cloudy and rained for a short time but then the sun came out. Taylor helped me move some stuff around in the apartment last night and I Skyped with Andrea and Eva. Today I have a training to host in the morning and then I’m off to Manhattan this evening to see my friend Isabella! It’s been way too long since I have been into the city!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Patriotic Challenge. My card base is Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Striped Scallop Thinlits to cut out a piece of Real Red and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue. My star is a piece of Night of Navy that I cut out with the Stars Framelits and then used the Simply Scored to make it easy to fold into the 3D Star. It too is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue. The greeting is from the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set and is heat embossed with a mix of Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Gold Stampin’ Glitter on a piece of Vellum. I put some SNAIL on the left and tucked it under the star. Clearly this isn’t a card that you would mail but I do love that 3D Star!! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Patriotic Challenge. Stop by the blog and see the rest of the design team’s projects and show us what you come up with by entering yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy Tuesday! 🙂

How was your Memorial Day? Mine was great! I slept in a little, got up and did my post stuff. Taylor came over and we had homemade waffles, I got waffle maker yesterday and some mix. I think the next time I will make the batter from scratch. We then ran up to IKEA again and I got a little table and two chairs for outside. Taylor and I used it for dinner to break it in! After that I came inside and made a few cards and then watched a little TV. A very nice day indeed. I also got to speak to Mr. Trent for a bit!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Sweet Treats challenge. I decided that a birthday card would be a good way to go, I always need those! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock. My strip of paper is a piece of the NEW Envelope Paper. I punched a tag from Whisper White with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. My greeting is from the And Many More Stamp Set and is stamped in the NEW Delightful Dijon. It’s adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The stamps for the ice cream cone are from the NEW Sprinkles of Life Photopolymer Stamp Set and are punched out with the NEW Tree Builder Punch. The ice cream is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the NEW Mint Macaroon and the cone is heat embossed in Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the NEW Delightful Dijon. The cone is adhered to the tag with SNAIL and the ice cream with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine is tied through the top and some “Vintage” Frosted Sequins are adhered to the ice cream for a little sparkle! A fun simple card using some new products from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Sweet Treats challenge! Another pretty nice day here, too bad I had to spend it in work! LOL! Work wasn’t too bad but tomorrow might be, I have a training scheduled and the trainer may not show and I don’t know the system well enough to do it my self! Yikes! Fingers crossed! I did have the top down in the car on the way home from work and that made things better for a while. After dinner Taylor and I ran to Michaels, I watched another YouTube video when I got home and had to go and get some Faber Castell Pitt Markers for another project that I want to give a try! YouTube is a very expensive time vampire for me! LOL! I do have a fun picture to share with you, my brother was fixing the siding on his house, he had a little mishap with a Mig-Welder and caused a small fire! Thankfully he had Daniel there to help him!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Fun Flowers challenge. I wanted to use some more stuff from the current catalogs before they become Vintage! The card base for today is the usual. I ran a piece of Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape down the left side. The bacground and next layers are pieces from the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper. The top layer is adhered with a piece of Fun Foam behind it. On my strip of Whisper White I stamped the stems and leaves from the Painted Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wild Wasabi. The greeting is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For the flowers I stamped them in Rose Red and cut them out with my Paper Snips, some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the panel and more Fun Foam adheres the panel to the card. Not an overly complicated card but I really like the unusual layers and the popped up flowers! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s SUO Challenges Fun Flowers challenge. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the blog and see what the rest of the designers have come up with! Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope that you all have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Does it seem like the days just melt into one another for you or is it just me?! Time is just moving along at a rapid pace! It was sunny and not too windy today which was nice. We are supposed to get back up into the 70’s later in the week! Top down weather is just around the corner! Last night after dinner Taylor came home with me and she made a card in the kitchen while I Skyped with Andrea and crafted in the Stampin’ Galley. We ran to Michaels to pick up a container to put a bunch of my cards in for Bill to pick up tomorrow and donate for a raffle prize. Taylor has been making a lot of cards lately and I think that I mentioned that she is going to start a blog of her own. However, we are having a little trouble coming up with a name for it so I thought who better to ask than you guys?! You helped me with the name of my craft space! If you have an idea for a name please leave a comment! Thanks in advance for your help!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Mother’s Day challenge. It’s coming up so this will be a perfect excuse to get started a little early! My card starts off with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. I adhered a strip of paper from the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper Pack off center to the left. For the tag I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch on some more Whisper White. I stamped the flower from the Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, the stem is Pear Pizzaz and Mossy Meadow. A piece of Hemp Cord is tied through the top and left extra long. The tag is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped my greeting from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark on Sahara Sand and heat embossed it in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and SNAIL adhere them to the card. I love the simplicity of the card and I think the Lotus Blossom looks really cool in those soft muted colors! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Mother’s Day challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s projects and upload your Mother’s Day project to the gallery! Thanks for stopping by for a visit today, I look forward to seeing your ideas for a blog name for Taylor! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

SUO Challenges 120 & A Bonus!

Hey there kiddies! Made it through another Monday! Work was not too bad, lots to get organized but it will get done. My brother and Erika stayed at my parent’s last night with Daniel. They are off to Los Angeles this morning. I think they are going for a wedding but they are also going to visit Disney while they are there! I wished my sister-in-law good luck with the 5 1/2 hour flight! Daniel is not one to sit still for very long! LOL! I can’t wait to hear how that goes! I’m also looking forward to seeing the pictures from Disney! I hope that they have a great trip and I can’t wait to hear all about it when they return. After dinner I came home and played around with some new stuff that I got in the mail. Yes, more crafty stuff, hmm.. where am I going to put it?! I think we all have that problem to some extent… right?! Right?!?!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Support Your Team challenge. I was a little perplexed as to what to do since I am not a big sports fan at all. I thought about it for a while and settle on a simple encouragement card. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Daffodil Delight. I used the stencil from the Hooray it’s Your Day Project Kit and some Daffodil Delight Ink with a Sponge Dauber to create the rays on some Whisper White. My greeting is form the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Daffodil Delight. I used the Starburst Framelits to cut it out and some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. A very simple card, I do love that stencil and how it looks behind the greeting! As a little bonus at the end of the post I have a card that I made for my friend Marissa from work for her to give to her sister for her birthday so scroll down past the supplies to take a peek! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Support Your Team challenge. Stop by the blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with. Have a terrific Tuesday and thanks for visiting! 🙂

Tonight I’m off to the movies with Andrew to see Insurgent! Really looking forward to that!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Fun Folds challenge. My card isn’t a traditional “fun fold” but it’s not your usual card either. I used a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe and the Circle Card Thinlits to make my base. The flower is that amazing Lotus Blossom from the Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe. I cut it out with my Paper Snips and adhered it to a piece of Brushed Gold that is cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits and then adhered to the card. I made my belly band from a piece of Calypso Coral. The “thanks” is from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I punched out another piece of Brushed Gold with the 3/4″ Circle Punch to back the butterfly that is from the Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I cut it out with the Butterfly Thinlits and adhered it to the circle and the band with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting on the inside is from the Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Calypso Coral. I used the 2″ Circle Punch to punch it out. A very simple but I think quite elegant card! I hope that you like my card for the SUO Challenges Fun Folds challenge. Go on over to the blog and take a look at what the rest of the Design Team has come up with! Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to come by and see me! Well, it was warm enough today to go outside without a jacket! You couldn’t stay outside for very long! LOL! But you didn’t freeze instantly! The sun was shining too and the snow has started to melt, which creates big ponds everywhere but I’ll take that over white flakes from the sky! Work was pretty good, not crazy. I watched the Apple Keynote on the new Apple Watch and yes, I must possess one immediately! It’s like a Dick Tracy communicator! You can take calls and do all sorts of things right on your wrist! Yes, it’s $400, but that’s what you would pay for a really good watch anyway. Here is the part where I’m convincing myself to spend the money! See how that works?! Anyway, the pre-order starts on April 10th and the watch is available on April 24th! I can’t wait! How many other techies out there will will be sporting a new Apple Watch? Oh, there is one that is solid 18 karat gold and goes for $17,000!! WHAT?! Makes $400 seem cheap! LOL!

Now on to the card for today. It’s for the SUO Challenges Easter Fun challenge. I have to tell you that I don’t really ever sit there and look at a card that I make and think, oh I really love this one, but this one I really do love! My card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the card front is a piece of Blushing Bride. I stamped the image from the Indescribable Gift Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The image is watercolored using Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz and Soft Suede Ink. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I adhered the Watercolor Paper to a piece of Brushed Gold Metallic Card Stock and then adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love simplicity, the softness of the image and the variation in color. I’m really enjoying the watercoloring with the inks, one day I will use actual watercolors! You also don’t realize how detailed the image is until you spend some time coloring it in. I really do hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Easter Fun challenge. I had a lot of fun making the card! Be sure and stop by the blog to see what the other design team members have come up with. Thank you so much for coming by to see me! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

It was another chilly day here yesterday, and windy too! I think that we all appreciate Spring and Summer a lot more than we ever had before after this Winter! My Monday was pretty good otherwise, work was ok I’m starting to get a handle on my new position. We had Chili for dinner last night, that was yummy. I got a fun package in the mail yesterday too, an Amazon Echo. It’s a little tube that you put in your house and it listens to your voice commands to do all sorts of things. You can ask it the weather, have it create a shopping list for you, listen to music or even search the internet. It’s pretty cool and I can’t wait to see what else they add to it! I do love a little technology! LOL!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our cards for teens challenge. I thought about the card for a while and finally settled on a fun colorful one. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock and I covered the front in a piece of Crushed Curry. For my background I used a piece of the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper. My greeting is from the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Vellum. I flagged the end of a piece of Calypso Coral to place behind it and make the greeting stand out a little more. On the top is a bow that I made using the Bow Builder Punch and some Bermuda Bay. It’s adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Two Basic Jewels Rhinestones, one in the middle of the bow and one in the middle of the “YOU” complete the card. I love the confetti on the DSP paired with the neat congratulations! I just screams fun! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Cards for Teens challenge. So remember yesterday when I said that it was raining, well I was wrong, it was freezing rain! I had to let my car warm up for 20 minutes before I could chisel the ice off of the windows and then skate to work! Who wants to find me a job somewhere warm? I really am over this whole Winter thing. I’m not meant to be cold! LOL! Yesterday was pretty uneventful. I came home after work and had dinner and then puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for bit and then I decided that I would relax for a while. I really do need to do nothing more often. It was nice to just be for a little bit last night.

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our shaped cards challenge. I don’t really ever make a shaped card, I don’t know why either, it was fun! I went with a heart shape, you know… for Valentine’s! I also haven’t made a shaker in a while. The base of my card is Real Red Card Stock. I used the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut out all of the hearts. The card itself is two hearts that I scored the top left on the back one and used some Fast Fuse to adhere them together. For the shaker part I cut out the background from a piece of the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack. The front is two that I taped together and cut out from a piece of Basic Black. I also cut out a piece of Fun Foam instead of using foam tape or Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Window Sheet is also cut out and some sequins are sprinkled inside and the shaker assembled with Multi-Purpose Glue. The greeting is from the Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Vellum and cut out with my Paper Snips. Using the Fun Foam for the shaker was great, I got the idea from Jennifer McGuire. I was missing the shaker cards and hope that you were too! So there is my shaped card for the SUO Challenges blog. I hope that you all have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
