Paper Craft Crew 127

Ahh Wednesday… so good to see you again! We are at the halfway point thankfully! I got to run around the office today with the painter and the electrician, nope, nothing to do with my actual job but that’s the way it goes. They are both really nice people so it’s all good. I got a text from Kim around 3:00 asking me if I wanted to go over there for dinner, well of course I did! It was nice to have Brian, Kim, Heather and I all sitting around laughing! Those are some of the best nights! Dinner was great too, Chicken Enchiladas from scratch. Brian is a really good cook! I managed to get my card made for today’s post before I went over for dinner, love when it all just falls into place!

Speaking of today’s card it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS127 Sketch 1-14-2015

A nice simple sketch and I was going to go for the circle but I decided that I would ink up a new stamp set instead. My card base is Wisteria Wonder Card Sock and the background is a piece of Whisper White. I stamped some of the images from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz on the background. My greeting is from the Simply Wonderful Stamp Set and is stamped in Wisteria Wonder and then the background is adhered to the base with SNAIL. A strip of So Saffron goes across the middle. I adhered two banners stamped with the Banner Banter Stamp Set, one in Pear Pizzaz and one in So Saffron, both punched out with the Banner Punch and adhered to the back of the So Saffron strip. My flower is from the Petal Potpourri Stamp Set and is stamped in Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron. I used the Flower MedallionPunch and the 1/2″ Circle punch to punch them out and adhered them to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked under the flower is a Subtles Designer Button with some “Vintage” Wisteria Wonder Baker’s Twine tied in a bow and adhered with a Glue Dot. Three sequins down the left side complete the card. Yes, more spring like colors to help chase away all of the cold! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog for a minute to see what the other designers have for inspiration for the sketch and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for taking a little time to visit with me today and I wish you all a great Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Nice card. Like the size. Colors are very nice. Kept this in my faves for me to make.
My two daughters and I got our iPhone6s last night. We are all happy but it took 2.5 hours in the Verizon store. We only waited 15 minutes, the rest of the time was business. I wonder if the worker would rather three separate customers or three together. He was very nice. Anyway, I kept thinking we could have been in the ER for something horrible, at least this was a good thing.
    🙂

    1. Thank you Nancy!
Three iPhones too 2.5 hours?!?! Wow! That’s awful! That’s Verizon! LOL! Glad you like the phones, they are the best! 🙂

  2. Awwwww, Justin, this card is beautiful, I love it – every single bit! How do you manage to turn out such gorgeous cards in the little amount of time you have available? I can sometimes sit for hours and not be happy with the result -_- I looked up Sam Smith – ‘How will I know’ on youtube. I haven’t heard it before, what a great version! He’s got an amazing voice 🙂 If I don’t ‘catch up’ with you before Thursday night (who knows with the time difference?) I really do hope you have the best time at the concert! Cheers, Kelly xoxo 😉

    1. Thanks so much Kelly! Sometimes I wonder how I get as much done as I do and still have more left! LOL! I can usually visualize the card in my head before I start! Sam’s version of How Will I Know is the best one I have ever heard! I like it so much I have put the video in my post tomorrow! He really is incredible! I will have an awesome time at the concert!! YAY!! XOXOXO 🙂

  3. Good Morning Justin
Another great looking card, the color combo is really nice. I don’t see Wisteria Wonder used vey much but it is one of my favorites. This card would work for lots of different occasions too.
I see that some warmer weather should be headed your way soon! It has been something else in the northeast. It’s almost Sam Day-whoop whoop!

    1. Hello Marty!
Thank you! I don’t Wisteria much but I love it for spring cards! They say that it should be in the 50’s on Sunday! Can’t wait for that! Can’t wait for the concert!! WEE!! 🙂

  4. Hi Justin! This is such a happy spring-like card! We’re getting there. It gets dark 24 minutes later than it did on December 21st. My husband keeps track. I get a countdown almost every day…lol. Have a great day!

    1. Thanks Gerri! I think that I would like the countdown daily too please! I hope that you had great day! 🙂

  5. Hello Justin! Such a pretty, spring-like card today! I love the colors you chose. I do love these square cards and have to admit, I’ve never made one! So excited for your concert tomorrow night…I have his music in my car and I just don’t get tired of listening to him. I’m sure you guys will have a blast at the concert, looking forward to seeing pics of all of you. 😉 Have a great day! Oh—Brian’s enchilada’s sound de-lish!

    1. Hi Karen!
Thanks! Anything to think warm thoughts! LOL! You have never made a square card?! You need to give it a go!! I can listen to Sam all day and I too never get tired of it, I love his voice! We will have a great time! I will take as many pics as I can! Brian’s enchiladas were amazing!! 🙂

  6. Hi Justin:

Wisteria Wonder is one of my favorite colors for spring and Easter cards. It’s soft like velvet with the eye appeal of the first blooming Iris’s. The sketch is wonderful and oh so versatile. The little touch of green makes the flower stand out even more. Love this card.

Hump day is almost over and with dinner out tonight with friends your time until the concert will just disappear. Enjoy. Hugs to you my friend! 🙂

    1. Hey Grace!
I like Wisteria too but I always forget to use it. I’m more of a neutrals and regals person! Love the way you describe it!
Yes, it’s almost time for Mr. Smith! I hope that you enjoyed your dinner! Hugs to you too! XO 🙂

  7. I love this one, Justin!

I was so tired of Christmas cards, and now I’m getting tired of Valentines, too! What a breath of fresh air!

    1. Thank you Jeanne!
I was getting a little tired of Christmas cards too! I have been making them since August! LOL! I’m not done with Valentine’s yet, soon though!:-)

  8. Justin, Love the images and color combo you chose for this layout! So fresh. Chicken enchiladas from scratch… mmmmmm, making my mouth water!
