Fab Friday 124

And we have made it to FRIDAY! It is definitely Fall like here this morning with temps in the 40’s! That’s a little too chilly for me. It might be time to put the shorts away. 🙁 I spent the day yesterday running errands and getting a few things checked off my to-do list. Jim came by after work and we had a little Chinese for dinner and watched some more Ozark. I also stopped by Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday with her and Stephanie. This morning I have a lot of administrative stuff to get done and I’m trying to firm up plans for the weekend! What are you going to be up to? 😀

I’m sharing my Design Team card with you for this week’s Fab Friday challenge today…

I used a new to me set from Hero Arts, the Color Layering Cool Fox Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I stamped one of the foxes in Pumpkin Pie and Orange Soda and the other one in Pumpkin Pie and Mulled Wine using black on both for the legs and face all with my Mini MISTI. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock is stamped with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background in Soft Pool. I stamped the greeting from the set in Black and adhered the foxes with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! It’s amazing how detailed and realistic the color layering stamps are! Those are some great looking foxes! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! There is more for you to see over on the BLOG and we want you to share your card with us in the gallery! Thank for your visit today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Fab Friday 123

Happy Friday! I had a quiet day yesterday, got some thing done and ran a few errands. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Isabella. We always have a nice visit! I’m going to make dinner tonight for Jim and I, I haven’t cooked in a long time so wish me luck! LOL! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I used some new goodies from Concord & 9th! My background is the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the images in Black Licorice using my MISTI and then used the fill in’s and Moonstone, Lobster, Doe, Sunflower, Noble Fir, Carrot, Sugarplum and Jalapeño Ink. It’s trimmed and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto piece of Black 110lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die. It’s adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A strip of Black 110lb and Chili Pepper are adhered to the lower right to stay true to the sketch and the card is done! I love the Turnabout Stamps and it was so much fun using the fill in images to just stamp! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a Fabulous Friday! 🙂

Fab Friday 122

Another week is coming to an end. I had a busy morning yesterday, I ran over to Jim’s to pick something up and then stopped back home before I headed over to Sue’s. We had a nice productive day, got a lot done. Last night after dinner Taylor and I ran a few errands, always nice to see the child! Today I have some more purging to do! I do love a good purge! 😀

I can’t believe that it’s time for a new Fab Friday challenge…

I got to use another new to me stamp! On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the branches in Cup O Joe and the flowers in Red Raspberry, both from the Hero Arts Color Layering Birds & Blossoms Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Raspberry Jam in the upper left. The birds are stamped in Just Rust and Emerald Green for the first layer and then Cup O Joe for the second. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins finish the card! I love that stamp set, so simple and fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! It’s Friday already?! That was another quick week! I had a fun day with my friend Sue. We worked on Etsy stuff and went out to have some lunch. There was a little stop at Marshall’s before we headed back to her house to finish up a little more stuff before I headed home. Last night we had Thirsty Thursday at Heather’s. Stephanie was there and Taylor stopped by for a few. This morning, more things to cross off my to-do list! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a fun sketch for you…

I got my August My Monthly Hero Kit and had to have a little play! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I used the large die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Black 110lb. The little boy on the moon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the large Black die cut to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and the boy on the moon with E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I flagged the right side and used a few more Black 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the card. For some more sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the August Hero Kit, so much fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll be back on a little while with another post for you! Until then have a fabulous Friday morning! 🙂

Hooray for Friday! The weather was just about perfect here yesterday again, we have been so lucky lately! I had some computer stuff to do in the morning and so I took the laptop and sat outside. I squeezed in a little cleaning and a few other household things in the afternoon. After dinner I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. We had a few errands to run and met Stephanie at Target before heading back to Heather’s. George spent some time with us when he got home, we always have so much fun! Today I have some more computer stuff to do, hopefully outside again! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have some nice bright colors for you…

I pulled out the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Set, haven’t used that one in a while, and made a one layer card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the bottom I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Soft Pool. The card is then placed in my Mini MISTI for the rest of the stamping. The flamingo is stamped in Soft Pink for the first layer and then Ultra Pink for the second and third. I stamped the legs, beak and greeting in Soft Granite. The grass is stamped in Lime Green with the water ripples added around them in Tide Pool. I added a little Black Glaze Pen to the eye and a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I do love a one layer card and the sequins again come in handy for filling in some of the space around the image! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and checking in with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

And it’s Friday! Did the week move a little on the slow side or is it just me?! I did complete my trifecta of productive days! I also ran a few errands and mailed out some packages. Jim came by around 5:00 and we watched a little TV and then went to Friday’s for dinner. I have a lot of rewards points so it was a cheap dinner to boot! LOL! I also stopped by Heather’s and saw her and Stephanie for a bit before coming home and calling it a night. I think we are supposed to get some rain today, the end of the perfect weather. But it will be just one day! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a sketch for you this time…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp stamped in Khaki on the front. I used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Dies to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb and stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Catkin and Khaki Ink. I stamped a singe one and cut that out with the Coordinating Orange You Sweet Dies. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. I adhered the large circle to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong and the single kiwi and greeting with 3D Foam Squares. A nice simple card with my favorite background and a fun greeting! It didn’t rain as much as they said that it would so needless to say I didn’t get as much done as I thought I would! Oh well, there’s always today! Jim came by around 4:00 and we got all caught up after his vacation. We ran a few errands and then went to Gino’s for dinner. I also had the pleasure of a visit from the child last night. We also ran a few errands! Hmm… maybe I did get a lot more done that I thought! LOL! 😀

It’s Friday peeps and it’s also a Fab Friday and we have some colors for you this time…

I have been really trying to make cards lately that don’t use a ton of supplies. We all need cards like that! This one starts off with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images and greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Many Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set right onto the card base. The flowers and leaves are stamped in Sunkist, Goldenlocks, Hot Mama, Jellybean and High Dive. I stamped the centers of the flowers and the greeting in Black. That’s it! I love the loose florals and handwritten greeting! This would also be a great card to mass produce using your MISTI!  I hope that you like my card for the Fab Friday color challenge! Be sure and stop by the BLOG to get some more inspiration from the rest of the Team and let’s see what you come up with, add your card to the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

I’m a little late this morning because I’m on country time! After my fun morning in the city yesterday I took the train out to Rockville Center and Jim picked me up at the station. We stopped back at his house, picked up the bags and headed for Waymart, PA. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get here but was well worth the ride! This is my current view this morning…

It so peaceful and relaxing here, I can see why Jim likes is so much. We went down by the lake for a bit and just sat there…

Last night we sat by the fire pit and just looked up at the stars, you forget how many there are because out here you can see them all! Today, who knows but I’m sure it will be fun! 😀

Now I have a little bit of craftiness to share with you in the way of my card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge…

I used the June My Monthly Hero Kit again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Dies to cut out a piece of Hello Honey for my background. On top of that is a strip of Mossy Meadow with the ends flagged and then a really thin strip of Black. My images and greeting are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black onto a piece of Tangelo Twist and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra. That’s it! A nice simple card and I love those solid images! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to visit the Team BLOG and see the rest of the cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for sharing in some of my day! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Fab Friday 114

Happy Friday my peeps! My Thursday was good! I cleaned my apartment and ran a few errands. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went to grab a quick bite and then saw Wonder Woman. Pretty good flick! We got back to my house around 9:30 and Jim headed home and I went over for the last half of Thirsty Thursday. We had to run to the Vape Shop so that Steph could get some refills and we saw Taylor and her friends there. They were going to a local bar so we met them there for a bit and then called it a night. Who knows what today will bring, but it’s supposed to be nice weather, that’s always good! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and this time around we have some colors for you to work with…

I don’t have any of the new Stampin’ Up! colors so I improvised! All of my images and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Black, Teal, Catkin, Rosie Cheeks and Hot Mama onto a piece of Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop and Orchid Sequins to the flower centers and the card is finished! Super simple and I do really just like to stamp some images, that way you get to use all of that colored ink that you have! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope to see yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by this morning, I’ll be back at 11:00am with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th post! Hope you’ll come back! Until then enjoy your morning! 🙂

Fab Friday 113

A happy Friday to you from mushy, wet New York! It rained all day yesterday. I stayed indoors, cleaned a little, did some laundry and watched a lot of TV! Taylor came by in the evening and we ran to Target quick. It’s supposed to continue raining today so I will have to find some more indoor activities to keep myself busy! 😀

It’s one of those week’s where we have a new Fab Friday challenge for you…

I had some fun with the Dotty Turnabout Stamp again! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used my MISTI and the Concord & 9th Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped it three times, once in Grape Soda, once in Narwhal and then for the final one I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. Across the middle is a strip of 48lb Vellum and a some Gold Mirror Card with the ends flagged. My globe and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the globe in Grape Soda and the greeting in Narwhal. To cut it out I used the Coordinating Die to cut out the globe and then I cut out another piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The globe is adhered to the Gold circle and then to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I just can’t get enough of that Dotty Turnabout Stamp, in fact I’ll be back in a little while with my Guest Designer Post for Concord & 9th with some more ways to use it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s projects and let’s see your’s in the gallery!
