SIP Challenge 138 – Card Maker’s Choice!

Hey! How are you all?! I’m ok, had a really quiet weekend, not my favorite kind but it is what it is. My Brother and Erika stopped by on Saturday with the kiddies to see my Mum for a bit. She is still not great but the kids did get her mind off of the pain that she is in for a while. Yesterday I worked on a bunch of stuff that needed to get done. I have to run to the Post Office at some point today to mail out some goodies to peeps. I did manage to make a shadowbox scrapbook page for Jim to give to a friend last night. This morning, the usual stuff to get through. It’s super foggy here and they say that it’s going to take a while to clear up, good times! πŸ˜€

With my lack of Mojo I have missed the last two Stamp, Ink, Paper challenges! But I did manage to get a nice simple card made for this week…

I wanted something bright and simple, I also just felt like coloring, nothing fancy! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Photopolymer Stamp in Hippo using my Mini MISTI. I went really bright with some Prismacolor Premiere Pencils. A little shading on the leaves and simple coloring on the flowers. These would be great to stamp and either take with you and color on the go or send a set to someone with some pencils for them to color in! So there you have my simple bright Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Maker’s Choice Challenge! Lots more inspiration over on the BLOG so be sure to stop by and check it out! We love when you share your creativity with us by entering your cards in the gallery! We can’t wait to see what you make! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 135 – All You Need is Love!

SIP Challenge 135 – All You Need is Love!

And I woke up to some snow this morning! What a wonderful way to start the day! NOT! I did have a fun weekend! Saturday I hung out with Heather for a while. We ran errands and had lunch. Sunday Jim came over and we continued the great purge of my apartment. He is definitely the king of getting rid of stuff! With his assistance I managed to donate six boxes to good will and threw out nine bags of trash! It’s always easier to clean and purge when you have help, wouldn’t you agree?! Yesterday I went over and watched Daniel and Tristan. I’ll be back over there on Thursday too! My Mum is having double knee replacement surgery today so her and my Dad won’t be able to watch the kids for a while. I’m happy to pitch in until Mum is able to watch them again. She is very nervous but I’m sure that everything will be fine. πŸ˜€

My first post for this week’s is for the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Just in time for Valentine’s Day!! I kept things simple! Onto my card base of Grey 110lb Card Stock I stamped the heart from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hippo using my Mini MISTI just in case I had to stamp it again! I find myself using my MISTI a lot, it’s nice to have a little safety net so to speak! Next I used the Concord & 9th Hearts and Love Dies. The solid one with the outline is cut from Black 110lb and the thin one from Gold Mirror Card. I added Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to the back and added them to the card. I still love my sequins, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold ones did the trick for today! I do love that love die, so many different ways that you can use it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper All You Need is Love Theme! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, including a risquΓ© one from Amber! We hope that you will play along with us and share your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 134 – Colors!

SIP Challenge 134 – Colors!

TGIF peeps! I have had a busy week, sorry for being MIA again! Tuesday I had the kiddies, always a good time! Wednesday I went into Manhattan to see Anna, I’m going to be helping her out with some things for the store which will be fun! I miss my store and have always loved The Ink Pad. It will be good to get involved and crafty again! Jim came by in the evening and we watched some TV. Yesterday I was just busy with all sorts of things all day so last night I needed a little more down time and that resulted in a trip to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! Taylor came by too! This morning I’m off to get my haircut and then lots more stuff to get finished! Not quite sure what’s on for the weekend yet but hopefully it will be fun! πŸ˜€

I missed posting my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge. There are still a few days left to play and I would love to have you join us! Here is this week’s challenge badge…

While I was at The Ink Pad I picked up a die that I have wanted for a while and I had to use it on my card! The die is the Hero Arts A Bit of Handmade Kindness Fancy Die and I cut it out from some Gold Mirror Card. My roses and leaves are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Pink, Quartz and Raspberry Jam and the leaves in Moss and Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. The die cut greeting is adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive in the upper right. It needed some more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins around the flowers cluster. A little bunch of roses along with that greeting is sure to brighten someones day don’t you think?! I hope that you like my very late Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Over on the BLOG you can check out the rest of the Team’s cards and see the fantastic ones that are already in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and I wish you all an incredible Friday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 133 – Sketch!

SIP Challenge 133 – Sketch!

Well, that was a quick Monday! I did a few things around the house in the morning and then went out with Heather to run a some errands. She made us lunch at her house, a nice salad and grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. When I got back the kids were at my Parent’s so I went and saw them for a little while. The evening was finished off with a little Hawaii Five-O on Netflix! I need the nice warm scenery! LOL! I have a few things to do this morning and then later I’ll head over to Jim’s so we can put his Mum’s den back together! πŸ˜€

Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog…

A nice simple sketch! I pulled out my Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy Photopolymer Stamp Set and started by using my Mini MISTi to stamp the flower inΒ  Bubble Gum, Crimson Hybrid and Raspberry Jam Ink. The coordinating Die cuts it out. Onto a piece of Solar White 80lb I stamped a stem in Moss Hybrid and cut that out with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Stamp in Charcoal onto a piece of Grey Card Stock. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the card is a piece of Pluto Stardream Metallic and over that I used some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the circle. The flower is adhered with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting its from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered with more 3M Foam Tape to the circle. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Charcoal Sequins finish the card! Love the bold pop of red against the white and gray! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great cards to inspire you over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting with me today! SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

Hello! I missed yesterday I know! I forgot that I was watching Daniel and Tristan and thought that I would have time to make a card in the morning! Oops! I’ll make up for it today as I will have another post at 11:00! I had a nice day with the kiddos, they are always so much fun and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them each week. Daniel was focused on playing Mario on his hi-Pad and Tristan and spent the better part of the morning dancing! LOL! She loves to listen to music! When I got home I watched a little TV, had dinner and then hung out with Taylor for a bit. I also spoke to my friend Greg in Indianan for a while, always good to catch up with him! I have a bunch of things to get done this morning and then Jim and I are going to see Star Wars tonight! πŸ˜€

The first post of this double post Tuesday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to do a little bit of a masculine spin on my card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the sprinkles from the Essentials by Ellen with Concord & 9th Sweet Sprinkles Photopolymer Stamp SetΒ stamped in Doe and Fish Tank using my MISTI. I stamped the cupcake in the same colors. Using my MISTI made it easy for me to re-stamp the frosted part in Versa-Mark so that I could heat emboss it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies cut them out and the cupcake is adhered to my card base with 3M Foam Tape. A simple sweet card with a masculine spin! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Cake Walk Challenge! There is a lot more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll see you back here at 11:00, until then enjoy your morning! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

Hey there, remember me?! I have been MIA for a little bit over the Holidays. I just lost my Mojo and didn’t make a card for about two weeks!! That’s the longest I think I have ever gone. Plus I think that I just needed a break after five years of almost daily posts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things! Oh, Happy New Year!! Can’t believe that 2017 is done! I did have a good year and a wonderful time over the Holidays! I hope that all of you are doing great and that your year is off to a great start! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for the first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge of 2018…

I used a new to me stamp set that I have wanted for a while, it was a little prezzie from Jim! To start I heat embossed that gorgeous leaf from the Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored it in using a Light Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pen and a Waterbrush. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I added the leaf and greeting with 3M Foam Tape and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card. I do love that leaf especially watercolored! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming back after my little hiatus! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 129 – Colors!

SIP Challenge 129 – Colors!

I’m late this morning and I apologize! I woke up at 4:00AM with a insanely bad migraine, so bad I couldn’t even lie or sit down. Thankfully it’s a lot better now. Yesterday was fun with Daniel and Tristan, they are so good and easy to watch, plus it’s nice to get to spend the extra time with them! I went right over to Jim’s last night so we could fix the Christmas lights on the house and have dinner. He whipped up a meatloaf, sautΓ©ed string beans and sweet potato, all delicious as usual! Now that my head is feeling a little better I need to get my butt in gear! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

My card has a ton of heat embossing on it, you know that’s one of my favorite things to do! The background is a piece of Chili Pepper Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My postage stamp is from the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the dots in more Gold and the LOVE in Recollections Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the postage stamp with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All in all a pretty simple card to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have an excellent Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 128 – Let it Snow!

SIP Challenge 128 – Let it Snow!

What a nice day I had yesterday with Daniel and Tristan! They were both really good and had a lot of fun playing with Cali. She was a little nervous at first but warmed up to them after a while. It was also nice to see my Brother, we don’t get to see each other much anymore. I was home by 4:00 and got a lot of crafting done last night! This one of two posts for today! Bonus Tuesday! πŸ˜€

This morning’s post is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Now we all know that I’m not a big fan of snow, except on a card! I started with a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Blue Jay. My snowflakes are cut from White Glitter Paper using snowflake dies from Simon Says Stamp. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb three times with the Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the greeting and used my White Signo Gel Pen to add some more “snow”. I love the sparkly snowflakes against the blue background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is plenty more inspiration over on the BLOG so go over and check it out. We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by this morning! Be sure to come back at 11:00 for a sneak peek at Concord & 9th’s December release! Until then have a great Tuesday morning! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

Hello friends! I had a nice day with my little Cali yesterday. She has been so good, almost too good to be true. I took her over to Andrew’s Parent’s house to see his Mum and Dad. Then Andrew came over by me for a bit, he loves Cali! LOL! She is such a mush and goes to anyone. Taylor stopped by with her friend Jess and she was quite fond of the little miss too! I’m going to go into Manhattan today and Taylor is going to watch her for a little bit for me. I feel so bad that she will be home alone for a few hours but what can you do?! I think I’ll get a little carrier for her so that I can take her on city trips with me! πŸ˜€

It Tuesday and time for new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went with some tags, surprise! LOL! To create them I used the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies to cut out three tags from Desert Storm 80lb. For my images I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The branches are stamped in Doe and the leaves in Yeti Pigment Ink. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the white ink drying. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir over the images on the tags. In the top of the tags I punched a hole and tied some Natural Twine through. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are complete! I do love to make tags, these will go nicely with a prezzie wrapped in kraft paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp , Ink, Paper All Wrapped Up Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s projects and that you will share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 126 – Grateful, Thankful, Blessed!

SIP Challenge 126 – Grateful, Thankful, Blessed!

A quiet Monday! Who could ask for anything more?! I did get a few things done around the house and had dinner with the ‘rents. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Anna at The Ink Pad! It has been way too long since I have seen her and the shop! Should be a fun day!! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I have been seeing a lot of cards with colored pencil on dark cardstock lately so I needed to give it a go! To create my background I stamped the leaf from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto Battleship Gray. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the leaves in using two shades of a color for each one. My greeting is cut three times from more Battleship Gray using a die from the Simon Says Stamp with Hero Arts StampTember Thanksgiving Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the top one with more Platinum Embossing Powder and then adhered it to the two others and a strip of Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The Vellum is then adhered around the back of the background and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins for extra bling and the card is finished! Now I know why I have seen so many cards like this, love the look of the pencil on the dark card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and don’t forget to share your card in the gallery with us! Thank you for stopping by! Have an amazing Tuesday! πŸ™‚
