Good morning! How is everyone today? I’m great! My friend and I drove up to Vermont last night, we left Manhattan around 5:45 and we got here at 11:45. The drive was not too bad once we got out of the city. We drove all the way here with the top down in the car. I woke up this morning and here is the view see when I walk outside…
Pretty, isn’t it? I’ll take some more pictures to post tomorrow, it really is just beautiful up here.
Now on to today’s post that is for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a color challenge…
I decided to do a nice simple card using mainly elements that are either cut out with the Big Shot or punched. The base of the card is Old Olive Card Stock. I embossed a piece of So Saffron with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. Using the Big Shot and the Perfect Pennants Die I cut out a few pieces in Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper Piercing Tool around the edge of the Pool Party piece. The Cherry Cobbler piece is edged with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border Punch, I cut the punched pieces in half and then used some 2-Way Glue to adhere them to the back. The small scalloped circle is punched from a piece of Old Olive using the new 1 1/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch from the Holiday Catalog. I stamped the images from the A Fitting Occasions Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron. The Cherry Cobbler image is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and I cut the party hat out with my Paper Snips. They are both mounted to the pennant with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The two smaller pennants are punched out with the Pennants Builder Punch in Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party. I used the Cupcake Builder Punch for the candles and that completes the card. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card and thanks for visiting. I’m off to the country store for some half & half! Have an awesome day!
