T G I F! Thank god it’s FRIDAY! I am so ready for this week to done! It is still freezing here, the overnight low was 12 degrees and tomorrow they are saying a chance of snow. I’m still hoping they are wrong! I believe that snow should be reserved for ski resorts not metropolitan areas! I had my SU! meeting last night and it was fun as always. I love seeing everyone and getting the swaps which were really neat! I’ll post my swap card soon and the ones that I got too! Are we ready for the weekend?? I sure am!
Friday also means that it’s time for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week the ladies have given us a color challenge…
Funnily enough when I first looked at the colors I envisioned holiday, must be the cold weather! A second glance and some advice from a friend helped me think flowers. The base of the card is Pretty in Pink Card Stock. The background is a piece of Very Vanilla and I stamped the greeting from the Wacky Wishes Host(ess) Stamp Set and the stem in Lucky Limeade. The flower is one of the new single stamps called Boutique Blossom. I stamped it in Raspberry Ripple and cut it out with my Paper Snips. The butterflies are from the Bloomin’ Marvelous Stamp Set and are also stamped in Raspberry Ripple. I used the Bitty Butterfly Punch to punch them out. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them and the flower to the card. I like the simplicity and the large flower is great. I hope that you enjoyed my Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card for this week. Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful FRIDAY!

so lovely! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Margarita, you have a great weekend too! 🙂
I’m with you – TGIF!!! 🙂 I could not get out of work fast enough today…
What a great card – I am always amazed at how perfectly the intricate design of the stamp comes out on your cards. I have to ask – does it ever not come out right the first time? I have learned to not stamp directly on the card – very wasteful for me. lol But even still I have multiple attempts to even get a satisfactory image. Maybe I just need more practice.
Have a Great Weekend {hopefully without snow}
Thanks Lin! I am still at work, wanting to get out makes it go slower! I do sometimes have issues with the stamp not coming out perfect but I always look at the stamp before I stamp to make sure that it has good coverage. Practice always makes perfect! I hope you have a good weekend too! Fingers crossed for no snow!!
Another pretty card. That is a very nice flower stamp.and I enjoy fussy cutting so I would have popped it up like you did too. I like this happy colour combo. Glad you enjoyed your SU meeting. It is always nice to swap ideas. Hope it warms up soon for you!
Hello Jean! Thank you! I like a nice big stamp! I do enjoy a little fussy cutting. 🙂

Oh my that sounds cold – I’m ready for spring and happy to see a spring flower card with these colors! I think the colors scream flowers but also Valentine’s day. I just opened my SU box with the Bloomin’ Marvelous in it – can’t wait to use that butterfly. Great job with the colors. I’m glad you joined us for the color challenge this week.
Monika

Thanks Connie! I need some spring with all of the wacky weather we are having here. Have a good week! 🙂
Where did the big flower stamp come from? I don’t see it in the catalog
It’s not in the catalog, it’s a single limited edition stamp. 🙂
