Hello from really snowy Long Island. Boy did we get walloped last night! I think we got about 16 inches of snow. 🙁 I will not be leaving the house today, my car doesn’t like the snow at all. When I let Winston out last night at 11:45 it was a blizzard. Sigh, guess I’ll get a lot of stuff done around the house today! I did watch Skyfall last night and I have to say that I really enjoyed it, but I’m a big James Bond fan so my opinion may be a little swayed!
Now for today’s post which is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches. This week Cindy has provided us with this sketch…
This was one of those cards that as soon as I saw the sketch I knew what I was going to use. I got some new goodies from Mr. Brown today so I used some of those too! The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock. I used some Whisper White that I stamped with an image from the new Sent With Love Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler for the top half of the background. The bottom half is a piece of the Sent With Love Designer Series Paper. Across the middle is a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The greeting is from the Dude, You’re Welcome Kit and is stamped in Island Indigo and cut out with my Paper Snips. For a little added detail I stamped another one of the images from the Sent With Love Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Cherry Cobbler. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and tilted it ever so slightly for a little imperfect tag on a package look! I love the Sent With Love Stamps and DSP. I have wanted a plane for the longest time and the patterns in the DSP are great! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.
