Good morning! I thought for sure I was going to freeze fast to the pavement yesterday! It was so cold and windy here but thankfully by the afternoon it had warmed up a bit. It was a balmy 36 degrees here around 5:00pm! The rest of the week isn’t supposed to be much better. But on the bright side it’s always nice and warm in my crafty corner! LOL!
Being as it’s Tuesday and I like to follow a schedule I have my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card for you today. Our sketch this week is provided by the lovely Mary Fish…
Great simple circles! I decided to go with hexagons, a lot of hexagons! The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Pool Party Core’dinations Card Stock with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and used the Stampin’ Sanding System to rough it up! Before I adhered the background to the card I used some Sticky Strip to hold a piece of Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon in place. The large hexagons are cut out from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack. I used the same method that I used last time to cut them out. Cut a piece of paper that is 2″ x 2 1/4″ and measure across the long side 1/2″ in on each side and halfway down on the short side. Use your Paper Snips to cut off the angles and you have a hexagon! Mine are all adhered to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is form the Ciao, Baby! Stamp Set and is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch. I like the simplicity of the card and the hexagons are great. I’m wishing that Stampin’ Up! gets some Hexagon Framelits soon, hint, hint!
