Why are Monday’s always so difficult?! Let me tell you that a three day weekend makes them even harder! Oh, and it felt like fall here again today. What is up with that?! Yoo hoo… Mother Nature, we are supposed to be getting warmer now thanks! I saw that someone said they had snow yesterday! Yikes!
Today’s post – Mojo Monday, a sketch from Julee Tilman…
I have to say that so far out of all of the new stuff I’m thinking that the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper* is my favorite! It has some great colors and I love the vintage graphic feel to it. The base of my card is Island Indigo Card Stock and the background is Very Vanilla stamped with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Early Espresso. I used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on some Early Espresso on top of that. The piece of Summer Starfruit and the Island Indigo Circle are pierced with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the flags are made using the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. The circle of Designer Series Paper is Soho Subway* and the greeting is from the Label Love Stamp Set* and is punched out with the Artisan Punch*. I made my “bow” with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and the 1/2″ Circle Punch. With a Soda Pop Top in the middle and the No. 1 from the Postage Collection Host(ess) Stamp Set* it completes the card. I managed to use the Postage Collection Stamp Set again and I’m a little bummed that the Soda Pop Tops didn’t carry over. What are you going to miss? Woo hoo! The color renovation has been announced! I’m so happy that they have kept four of the five 2011-2013 In-Colors! I’m a little sad to see that Lucky Limeade didn’t make the cut but we also got some former In-Colors back too! Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride along with a new color Smokey Shadow. They have also moved some colors to different families and of course they are retiring some colors. Say so long to Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard and River Rock. Change is a good thing!
