Happy day it stays lighter longer! Did you all remember to set your clocks forward one hour? I did, but I still made sure that I got the hour sleep! Yesterday was a clean the house and organize the craft area day. I did that for a good part of the morning but then I had to go out for a bit, it was in the upper 50’s here yesterday. A little ride around in the convertible made me very happy! Last night I watched the Hunger Games – Catching Fire, it was a great movie, even better than the first one. I can’t wait for the next one!! How is your weekend going so far?
Today I have a nice simple card for you. I do love a negative punch and I haven’t used butterflies in a while. My card base starts off with a piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock and the background is a piece of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper cut smaller to let the sides show. For the greeting I stamped one of the sentiments from the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set in Basic Black using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement! I then used the Elegant Butterfly punch and the Bitty Butterfly punch out some Basic Black. The Circles Collection Framelits are then used to cut each of the negative butterfly punches out. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals give them some lift and hold them to the card base. Simple but I love the pop of the black against the fun Sweet Sorbet DSP!
