Well, that was a fun event last night! Definitely worth the 2 1/2 hour drive! The presentation was great, lots of projects and demonstrations of the new products. We all got the new 2014-2015 Annual Catalog, a copy of the new Stampin’ Success and a new stamp set called Work of Art. We are allowed to post pictures of the catalog cover and those of you that follow me on Instagram got to see it last night but for those of you that don’t here it is!
Now that is a great cover don’t you think?! Now the most exciting thing for me is the fact that they have brought back my favorite punch of all time, the Spiral Border Punch! I would like to think that I played a role in that but I doubt it! LOL! Oh, and the sequins, they are pretty cool too! There are so many cool things in it, you are going to love it! 🙂
Moving right along, Tuesday means it time for the Stampin’ Up! weekly deals so here they are…
Tuesday also means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge and Julee Tilman has given us another fun tall & skinny one…
I do really enjoy the tall & skinny ones. I thought about the sketch on the way home in the car and yes, I made the card last night at 12:00am when I got home! The base of the card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Pool Party and a piece of Soft Sky and embossed them with the Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The larger panel is a piece of Brushed Gold Card Stock backed with some Soft Suede and the smaller one is a piece of Etcetera Designer Series Paper backed with Night of Navy. They are both adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a thin strip of Gold Foil Sheet goes across the middle. My greeting is from the A Round Array Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy and punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. The feather is from the Feathered Woodcuts Digital Download and is cut out with my E-Cutter from Crumb Cake. I used a Stampin’ Spritzer with Bermuda Bay Re-Inker and a little “Vintage” Champagne Shimmer Paint to color it. A few more Stampin’ Dimensionals hold it in place and there you have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. I love those Feathered Woodcuts cut out with the E-Cutter and blue, all of the blues, are my favorite color! Thank you so much for checking in today to get a peek at the new catalog cover and to see my card. I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

P.S. Liked yesterday’s card too. Didn’t get to computer yesterday.
Thanks Nancy! Its a great cover! It was loads of fun and I am a little tired but I’ll take a nap maybe when I get home later. Love the tall & skinny! So glad that you liked both cards! Have a wonderful day! 🙂
So awesome to have met you last night, Justin, at the premiere! Truly an honor. Thank you! I do have a photo that I’ll email you soon. LOVE the new catalog!!
It was great to meet you too Crystal! I look forward to getting the photo! Thank you very much! Yes, the new catalog is amazing! 🙂
Hi Justin:
So glad to hear you had fun last night. I think this is the prettiest cover I’ve seen on an SU catalog since 2001. It’s exciting just to look at it. Also, I love the “skinny” cards because they fit into a business size envelope and those are a lot less expensive than the invitation size. I love the things you are doing with your cutter. Now, get some rest! LOL
Hello Grace!
Yes, I had a nice time! I agree that it is the nicest cover I have seen on a Stampin’ Up! catalog! There is so much new fun stuff inside! I too am enjoying the skinny cards! The E-Cutter is a lot of fun! I would like to take a nap but I don’t think my job would appreciate that! LOL! 🙂
I knew you would have a fab time last night. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the premier. My drive would of been about the same distance you went. Yes the total high is well worth it. Can’t wait until the pre order and I get my hands on the new catalog! Another feather card, very nice. You have utilized feathers a lot lately. All of them have been great. Okay get recharged and then scour the new catty again!
I did have a great time Lisa! I was worth it for sure. I’m sorry that you didn’t get to go. I have a little feather obsession lately. They are a fun addition and very trendy! I have looked through the catalog at least 5 times already! 🙂
Great tall and skinny card Justin. Love the new cover. Can’t wait to see in IRL….tomorrow night, just one more sleep!!! WooHoo
Thank you Louise! The cover is great but the inside is so much better! Enjoy your peek! 🙂
Hi Justin! Nice card! I love the way you’ve used the golds on this. Very pretty and a great layout to boot. Such a cool cover! Can’t wait to get my hands on the new catalog…sounds like some great new things in there especially the sequins. 😉 Have a fabulous day Justin!
Hello Karen!
Thank you! I love the Gold Shimmer Paint mixed with the ink in the Spritzer. Yes, that catalog cover is amazing! You are gong to love it all! I hope you have a wonderful day my friend! 🙂
Justin,
I really like the graphic feel of this card, the feather is very striking with the spray coloring!
I too am thrilled they are bringing back the spiral boarder punch! I love that punch!
I can’t wait until Thursday! And then I can’t wait to actually hold the new catty in my hands!
I am so glad you had a great time, but we always do with a Stampin’ Up! event!
Thanks for sharing your experience and your talent with us!
Have a great Thursday,
Donna
Hi Donna!
Thank you! It has a slight vintage feel to it with out all of the distressing. Love my little concoction of shimmer and ink! The Spiral Punch is by far my favorite, I was so surprised to see it in the catalog I had to look twice! LOL! We do indeed always have a great time at a Stampin’ Up! event don’t we! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to “chat”! Have a wonderful day!! 🙂
Sorry, not Thursday…Tuesday! Can you tell I can’t wait until Thursday!!!
LOL! I wish it was Thursday too Donna! 🙂
Justin, what a classy, sophisticated card. I do love feathers. And I’m so jealous-you have the catalog already. It doesn’t seem right it’s out there and we can’t see it yet. Waahhh!
Thanks Georgie! Yes, I am a bit addicted to feathers! I LOVE the new Catalog and so are you!! 😉
Hi Justin,
You continue to ROCK the Etcetera DSP with the Alphabet Press TIEF, and now you brought it to a whole new classy and sophisticated (besides tall & skinny!) level with the Brushed Gold and your lovely (read, now signature!) fancy feathers!!! 🙂
This catalog cover (& the contents/products therein) will be tough to top in the future. I absolutely LOVE the three sets of hands with the inspire, create, share and the message Shelli gave us about the relationships we create and are blessed enough to foster through SU!!!
Hugs, Laurie
Helo Laurie!
Thank you very much! LOL! Yes, the feathers do seem to be my signature as of late!
I love everything about the catalog, especially the cover! I think that the relationships we make through Stampin’ Up! are definitely the best part! It was so nice to see you at the Catalog Premier! Great to have a picture with you too! I hope that you have a nice Wednesday! 🙂
