I know, you hear it every week, but I never tire of it! It’s FRIDAY people! The work week is coming to close and we are heading in to the weekend! It was a rainy overcast and slightly chill day here. They said rain all day but fortunately it was just overcast and damp. Work was productive and tomorrow I get to go on a field trip again! Love field trips! I came home last night and made some cards and watched some HGTV. Tonight I’m going to dinner with my buddies Anthony and Bill. I’ll see if Andrew feels like tagging along too. Not a lot planned for the weekend, that can be a good thing. We’ll play it by ear.
Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for the sketch challenge…
There is that word bubble again! I’m going to admit that I’m slightly addicted to my E-Cutter. As soon as I saw the word bubble I knew it was going to be cut out with it. I also cut some stars out of the bubble with the Large Star Digital Punch and some extra ones to sprinkle around the card. My card base is one of the new 2014-2016 In-Colors called Lost Lagoon*. I LOVE this color! It’s a bluish green with some gray thrown in, nice and subtle but rich don’t you think? For my square I used a piece of the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. Next up is my word bubble that I cut out with my E-Cutter with the Word Bubbles Punches Digital Download from a piece of So Saffron. The greeting is from the Something to Say Stamp Set and is stamped in Lost Lagoon*. To the right of that is a star from the Simply Stars Stamp Set, stamped in So Saffron and cut out with my Paper Snips. The larger small stars are punched out from So Saffron with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack*. They and the bubble and large star are all adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Don’t you think that the new Lost Lagoon* and So Saffron look great together?! I really am loving the new In-Colors, especially this one. There it is, my Design Team card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge. Pay a visit to the blog to see what the other design team members have for inspiration for you and give the sketch a try and upload your card to the gallery. I thank you for spending some time with me today and I wish all of you a Fab Friday! 🙂

Jason, I do like the things you have made with E-Cutter. But I am clueless and don’t know where to start. (I hibernate when winters are too long, or too cold, or too dark.) Is it an SU! download product used with a Cricket Expression Machine? I (still) am in a fog that SU! has any automatic die cutters to work on my cardstock remotely (but in real time) so I can have my card now and send it too, in hand and not by email. I am a last-minute person recovering from a debilitating, extended, cold, dark winter. We had a short spring. Now its torrential rain with tornado watches. May THEY be short-lived.
Please provide a URL or source to learn more about the E-Cutter process. Thanks! Susan
Hi Susan,
There are a lot of great tutorials on YouTube and I have some pinned on my MDS board on Pinterest. I use a Silhouette Portrait as my E-Cutter and the Designer Edition of the software for it. You import the MDS files into the software and go from there. We are all recovering still from that winter! I hope that after you watch some of the videos you have a better understanding of how the whole process works! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Friday!
Justin
Hi Justin and Happy Fab Friday to you! Your card is great…I love all the new In-colors but Lost Lagoon is my fave also. So pretty. I do think it goes well with So Saffron. I love this layout and what you’ve done with it! Have to tell you we went to TGIF’s last night and we were eyeing up the Tennessee Whiskey cake that you’ve talked about. Well, we were way too full after dinner so we didn’t get it but it looks so good. Maybe next time we need to go just for dessert and coffee! Have a great day and an even better weekend!
Hello Karen! Friday is always fab, isn’t it?! Thank you! Simple but effective I think! Yes, definitely loving Lost Lagoon! I am off to TGI’s tonight! I am usually too full from dinner too! LOL! I think I will skip desert tonight, I need to. I have been eating way too much chocolate! I hope that you have a simply wonderful weekend! 🙂
The pairing of Lost Lagoon and So Saffron does look great! Seriously, you ecutter people are going to be my downfall! =) TFS!
Thank you Amanda! LOL! I love my e-cutter! 🙂
