It’s getting a little hotter here and it was definitely more muggy today, but it was sunny and beautiful nonetheless. I keep saying it, but anything is better than the polar vortex. Work was productive and I even got to go on a little field trip which is always a good thing. When I got home last night, Andrew came over and we tackled a ton more packing and threw out a bunch of stuff! Tonight is painting, provided that I get the key. Fingers crossed! LOL! I also settled on a color, can you take a guess as to what it is?
It’s Wednesday, so that means I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for our sketch challenge this week…
I used the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack for my color inspiration on today’s card, strangely, I didn’t use any of the DSP. LOL! The base of the card is Mossy Meadow Card Stock and for my background I used the Striped Scallop Thinlits Die and a piece of Daffodil Delight. I find that a piece of wax paper in between the card stock and die makes removal much easier. The foundation for my flowers is a piece of Pistachio Pudding that I cut out with the Banners Framelits and for some extra pizzazz I put some Gold Foil Sheet across the top of it. All of the images and greeting are from the Flower Patch Stamp Set. I used Daffodil Delight for the large flower, Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush for the smaller flowers and the leaves are Pistachio Pudding and Mossy Meadow. They are all cut out with the Flower Fair Framelits. The greeting is stamped in Strawberry Slush and I used a standard hold punch to make the ticket corners. The greeting and the large flower are both adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the fact that the Flower Patch Stamp Set is photopolymer because it makes the two step process very easy (on the small flowers and leaves). Even though the Striped Scallop Thinlits are a lot of work, they really add a nice touch to the card, so I think it’s worth it. There you have my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s sketch challenge. Take a few minutes to peek at the blog and see what the other designers have come up with. I would like to see your take on the sketch, so please enter your card in the gallery! I thank you for coming by today and wish you a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
