Well, the week is moving right along, it’s Wednesday already! It rained here most of the day yesterday, quite heavily in the morning but the sun did finally make an appearance later in the day! Little Daniel was at my mum’s so I got to spend some time with him, he actually says Uncle Justin now! We played with some Lego blocks for a little while and then had dinner. It’s his mum Erika’s Birthday today, a very Happy Birthday Sis! After dinner I made a card and then Michael stopped by for a bit before going to meet his brother. I ran to Target and that was pretty much the day. I do have a few more pictures from this past weekend’s Manhattan adventure with Michael. More really cool street art!
Now that’s a really cool Lady Liberty!
Just some mixed-media building art!
Now that is just really cool!!!! I would like that in my house!
This is on the door to 214 Lafayette Street. You can read more about it here!
Michael has done a few blog posts on our outing too and he has some really cool pictures of the Subway! Be sure and go over to his blog and take a look!
Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…
For some reason when I saw this I thought Summer! My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Soft Sky and across the bottom is some Old Olive that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills Die. My kite is cut using the Simon Says Stamp Kite Shaker Die from a piece of Crumb Cake and a piece paper from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The sun is cut from Daffodil Delight using the Mama Elephant Stitched Sky Creative Cuts Dies and also adhered with Foam Tape. I used the Simon Says Stamp Painted Summer Die and some more Daffodil Delight for my greeting. I also cut out some Fun Foam and adhered it to the back of the die cut to pop it up. A generous dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on the sun and greeting with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love that kite especially with the DSP! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players color challenge and the rest of my Manhattan pics! Thank you for stopping by today and I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Good Morning Justin:
I just checked out the site for Lafayette St. and WOW – I wonder what the rent on that place is? Probably a figure that would make my tummy turn a bit. LOL I can’t imagine actually living in a space that big. I would probably get lost in it. It certainly is beautiful though. Thanks so much for sharing your Manhattan photos. There is always something new to see and do there.
Love today’s card. I’ve been seeing so many cards for fall lately that it’s kind of refreshing to see a summer card again before summer is over. Your color combo is fun, just the way summer should be. You did a great job and I really love the way you insert the separate colors into each place that the die cut out.
You’ll have to get a photo of Daniel for us soon. It’s been a while. Wishing you a Won drous Wednesday. Enjoy the day. Love and hugs, XO 🙂
Hello Grace!
214 Lafayette is really cool! Who knew that was inside there?! I’m sure that it’s really expensive but if I had the money I would host a rockin’ party there! LOL! It is huge and really nicely done! I like the roof deck the best!
Thanks! It’s too early for fall cards! It’s only August! We always tend to rush through the end of the year! Love that kite and the hills are neat too!
Yes, it has been a while since I have put up a picture of Daniel! I’ll have to get one when he gets back from the DR! Hope you had a nice day my friend! Love and hugs to you! XOXOXO 🙂
