Simple Hope Oval Ornaments

Happy Wednesday peeps! I hope that you are all having a good week! I have been relatively busy which is a good thing! The weather has gotten chilly here overnight. I guess the fall is finally here. I’m not a fan of the cold as you all know! I hate to give up my flip-flops! LOL!

Today I have a simple card that is nice and mailable. I started off by using the Pinkfresh Holiday Ornaments Stencils to ink blend two of the ornaments and the pine bough onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used Hero Arts Mint Julep, Tide Pool, Soft Vanilla, Butter Bar and Lime Green Ink. Next I cut out the Pinkfresh Fancy Oval Frame from a piece of Topical Sea Card Stock and adhered it the my stenciled panel. To create a border I added a piece of Hunter Green to my card base and then added the panel to the card with fun foam to give it some dimension. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Thrill of Hope Wreath Hot Foil Plates and is foiled with Spellbinders Moondust Foil. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Thrill of Hope Wreath Dies to cut it out and added it to the card with Bearly Arts Glue. A few Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Mix Gems give the card some shine!

I’m loving using stencils and my blending brushes to create detailed and beautiful images! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and I thank you very much for visiting! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

Best Day Painted Peony

Happy Friday! I woke up to a rainy morning but it’s supposed to clear up later in the day. I think I will be taking a trip into Manhattan tomorrow to see some peeps. Maybe a little Street Fair on Sunday?! Definitely some crafty time today, I have a few projects started and need to get them finished. When I used to make cards I would sit down and do one start to finish, now I find that I will start a few things and then finish them much later! LOL!

Today’s card features the Concord & 9th Painted Peony Layering Stamp Set. I actually made this card a while back when I used the set to make a Slimline card. I always stamp extras when I’m using layering sets! The flowers and leaves are stamped in Concord & 9th Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, Honeysuckle, Poppy, Cranberry, Buttercup, Stardust, Sprout, Parsley, Clover and Evergreen Ink. I do love a layering set and using a Misti makes lining everything up and stamping it multiple times super easy! I used the coordinating Concord & 9th Painted Peony Dies to cut the flowers and leaves out. They are adhered to a card base of Black 110lb Card Stock with Bearly Arts Glue and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Geometrics Stamp Set and is heat embossed on Black 110lb Card Stock with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I added it to the card with Foam Tape. A few Clear Droplets finish off the card.

I love the way the black really brightens up the flowers and makes them pop! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Old Parisian Floral Greetings

Happy mid-week peeps! The weather has been nice here, warm but good convertible weather which still is my favorite way to get around! I did get a different car, still a convertible, and I love it even more! Also high on the agenda, I have been trying organize the Craft Closet and it’s a little overwhelming! It’s so hard to part with anything. LOL! But sometimes you come across something that you completely forgot about and remember how much you loved it. I used just such a find on my card for today!

I started out by using the Spellbinders Diamond Floral Frame Set from Yana. All of the flowers and frame are foiled with Spellbinders Gold Hot Foil using my Crafter’s Companion Foilpress and Gemini Jr onto two shades of green and two shades of purple 110lb Card Stock. I used Neenah Solar White 110lb for the frame. The coordinating dies in the set are used to cut out all of the elements. My greeting is from the Spellbinders Yana’s Sentiments Hot Foil Set. It’s also foiled in gold and I cut out three blanks to add to it to give it some dimension. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and to that I added a piece of Purple 110lb Card Stock that I embossed with the Cuttlebug Old Paris Embossing Folder. It’s an oldie but still so cool! Next I added the elements to the card with Bearly Arts Glue and 3D Foam Tape. To finish it off I added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins.

I do really still love that Embossing Folder, unfortunately it’s hard to find as it’s from 2015! But you can always do a google search and get it! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and I thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!

Indigo Wreath Woven Hello

Hello there and happy Labor Day! I hope that you all are enjoying your three day weekend! I had my friend Kim come out on Saturday. I went into Manhattan in the afternoon and met her for lunch and then we drove back out to my house. Sunday morning we went over to Long Beach and met Jim for a nice walk along the boardwalk which we finished just before it started to drizzle. She took the train home yesterday afternoon and I spent the rest of the day relaxing. I’m hoping to get into the Craft Closet today and play with some new goodies that I recently acquired!

The other day I was digging through my stash and came across one of favorite products from back when I had the store! I decided that it would make a fun background for some new goodies. To start my card I used the Pinkfresh Indigo Vines Washi Tape and added it to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Indigo Vines Die to cut it out. My card base is also Neenah Solar White 110lb. The background is a piece of Grey 110lb that I embossed using the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Woven 3D Embossing Folder. It’s added to the card base with Bearly Arts Glue. I used 3M Foam Tape to add the wreath. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate. I used Crafter’s Companion Aurora Hot Foil on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb and cut it out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. More foam tape is used to add the greeting to the card and for a little sparkle I added Pinkfresh Stargazer Jewels and some sequins from Little Things by Lucy. A quick simple card thanks to the Washi Tape and sentiments!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I want to thank you for sharing a little bit of your time with me! Enjoy the rest of your Labor Day!

Perfect Butterfly Smile

Hello! Sorry I have MIA again. I have been spending a little time each day in the Craft Closet and taking my time making cards. Sometimes I get some of it done and then come back the next day to finish it off. I do have quite a few made so I will make sure that I post a little more often. I find that if I don’t keep myself to a schedule the Mojo flows a little better! On another note I seriously cannot believe that it’s September! That was one really quick summer. I’m not looking forward to the cooler weather and having to give up my flip-flops! LOL!

The card that I created for today uses the Pinkfresh Miss Your Smile Stamp Set and coordinating Stencils. I stamped it in Hero Arts Soft Granite Ink using my Misti. The inks that I used with the coordinating Pinkfresh Miss Your Smile Stencil are Hero Arts Orchid, Passion Flower, Soft Lilac, Grape Juice, Mint Julep and Antigua. I trimmed the panel to 8 1/4 to 3 1/4 and adhered it to a piece of Hunter Green card stock. To create the butterfly I used the Pinkfresh Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and some Crafter’s Companion Aurora Foil on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb and a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate. On the card stock one I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Butterflies Stencils and Hero Arts Passion Flower, Grape Juice, Mint Julep and Antigua Ink to color in the butterfly. A little Black Copic Multiliner colors in the body. The coordinating Pinkfresh Butterflies Dies are used to cut them both out and they are adhered to each other on the butterfly body with Bearly Arts Glue. I added the panel to a card base of Neenah 110lb and then added the butterfly with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and is also foiled in Aurora and cut out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. I cut it out two more times from 110lb card stock and adhered them to each other and to the back of the greeting with Bearly Arts Glue. It’s then added to the card. For some more sparkle I added a few sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix.

I love the purples and greens together and that Aurora Foil is definitely my favorite! I hope that you like my card for today and as always, thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to spend with me! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!

Sending Clear Butterflies

Happy Thursday! I had the pleasure of spending some time at the Lake for a few days, hence my absence. It rained a lot and the puppies got sick but it was still nice to get away none the less. My parents were also away in Disney with my Brother, Erika and the kids. Taylor pet sat for me and enjoyed a little time having her own place. I can’t believe that it’s almost the end of August… where did the summer go?!

I really have been enjoying my little obsession with hot foiling! I watched a video by Carissa Wiley a while ago and she had done it on acetate. I definitely had to give that a try! I also decided to jump on the paper strips bandwagon! To make the strips I used the Pinkfresh Slim Stripes Dies. I cut out two colors of Blue 110lb and some Gold Foil. They are added to a Slimline Card base at an angle with Bearly Arts Glue. I used my Paper Trimmer to trim off the excess. My butterflies are foiled using the Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and some Crafter’s Companion Gold Foil onto a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate. They are cut out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Dies. My sentiment is from the Spellbinders Yana’s Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Collection and is also foiled in the same gold. I cut it out using the included matching die along with a few extras so that I could stack them for some dimension. I added the butterflies and sentiment to the card along with a few The Stamp Market Clear Droplets and called the card done!

I hope that you like today’s card. It’s clean and I think that clear foiled butterflies are really cool! Thank you very much for visiting with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!

Embrace Silver & Blues

Hi there peeps and a happy Monday to you all! I had a nice weekend and did something that I haven’t done in a very long time. On Saturday I took a ride into the city and picked up my friend Kim. We went downtown so I could go and see The Ink Pad’s new location. They have been there for well over a year but because of everything that has been going on I haven’t really been in the city. The new shop is nice and packed with fun stuff! Unfortunately Anna wasn’t there but I did get to see Patrice. I of course picked up a few things! LOL! Yesterday my friend George helped me do some things to my car and then Heather made a delicious dinner. A nice weekend indeed!

My card for today uses the Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate again! I think I’m a little addicted to hot foiling!I used my Gemini Jr. and the Gemini Foilpress along with the Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and some Silver Glimmer Foil to create the butterflies.

Next up I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Stencil and Concord & 9th Midnight, Peacock, Oceanside and Aqua Sky Ink to add color.

I then cut them out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Dies. For the background I cut a piece of Dark Blue Card Stock with the Pinkfresh Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die. It’s trimmed to 8 1/4 by 3 1/4 and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb. For the leaves I used the Pinkfresh Curvy Leaves Die and cut them from Silver Foil Card Stock. They are added to the card base with Bearly Arts Glue. The butterflies are adhered with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Butterflies Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb. It’s also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. For a little more sparkle I added a few Crystal Confetti. I don’t use much silver or blue and I actually really love them together! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I appreciate your visit and wish you a pleasant day!

Eclectic Day

Happy Friday the 13th! I didn’t realize it was Friday the 13th until I looked at my phone this morning. It has been extremely hot and humid here for the past few days. It rained yesterday evening for about 20 minutes and was even more humid after that! It’s supposed to be a little better today but not much. Maybe some more time in the craft closet today to stay out of the heat?!

My card for today features a layering die set from Concord & 9th and is a mini slimline. I started by creating my background ink blending some Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with my Blending Brushes. That is adhered to a card base cut to 6 1/4 by 6 1/2 and folded in half. The finished card base is 6 1/4 by 3 1/4. Next up I used the Concord & 9th Plaid Card Front Thin Die to cut a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed it from it’s A2 size to fit better on my mini slimline card and adhered it with Bearly Arts Glue. My flowers are cut out using the Concord & 9th Eclectic Garden Dies from Rose Chintz and Garden Green. I added the flowers to the stems and leaves and then used my Prismacolor Pencils to add some details. They are also adhered to the card with Bearly Arts Glue. For the sentiment I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th Eclectic Garden Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and trimmed it with my Paper Trimmer. It’s added to the card with 3M Foam Tape. It needed something more so I dug through my stash and found some Goosebumps that I got years ago and added them to the flower centers.

I love the envelope dies from Pinkfresh so I made a coordinating envelope using the Mini Slimline one. A nice simple card that would perfect for a birthday! I hope that you enjoyed my project for today. Thanks so much for spending a little time here and I hope that you have a fabulous weekend!

Paper Craft Crew 327 – Sketch!

Two days in a row?! That hasn’t happened in a long time! LOL! I was FaceTiming with Andrea on Monday and she sent me this week’s sketch to nudge me to make a card. It does feel good to be creating again. The Mojo comes in spurts but at least it’s coming. I’m going to try and get in the Stampin’ Galley again today! Wish me luck! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch challenge…

I got to play with some more new goodies from this month’s Concord & 9th release! They are definitely one of my favorite companies! I love the innovative products they come up with! I used the Concord & 9th Floral Print Silhouettes Stamps and Dies along with a few other oldies but goodies for my card. To start I stamped the circle of flowers from the Concord & 9th Floral Print Silhouette Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice, Jalapeño and Sunflower Ink with my Mini MISTI. To cut it out I used the circle die from the Concord & 9th Birthday Basics Dies. Next, I cut out a piece of Sunflower Card Stock with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies. My banner is from the Concord & 9th Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped two of them in Jalapeño and cut them out with my Scissors. A piece of Fun Foam cut out with another of the Circle Infinity Dies is added to the back of the floral circle and adhered to the Sunflower circle with the banners sandwiched in between. The deer is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb for the head and some Super Gold Curious Metallic for the antlers. I added the circles to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped my greeting in Black Licorice. The deer is added with 3M Foam Tape. For a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the flower centers and applied a heavy coat of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the deer head. I love that floral circle and actually wish that it was big enough to cover a card front! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by again today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 186 – Vellum!

Hey there! I hope that your week is off to a good start! I had a nice weekend, got some stuff done, not as much as I wanted to but isn’t that always the case! We are supposed to be getting snow today, I don’t want any of that thanks! LOL! I guess we have been lucky so far and it was bound to run out eventually. Here’s to hoping that it’s only an inch or two. 😀

It’s time once again for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog. This week are focusing on using vellum…

I love vellum! There are so many different ways to add it to your projects! I choose a very subtle way today. The other day I posted on Instagram my first Alcohol Ink background and I used that to make my card. My card was inspired by Amy from Prairie Paper & Ink. The background uses Amethyst and Flamingo Alcohol Ink on Yupo Paper with some Alcohol Blending Solution. I used a straw to blow it around and then waited for it to dry a bit before adding some Deco Foil in Gold. To cut it out I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies, also cutting out a piece of Gold Vellum. That is added, offset, to the back of the colored heart with Glue Tube. My LOVE is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Concord & 9th Love You So Dies. That is adhered to the heart with more Glue Tube. I added the heart to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti pieces and the card is done. I kept it simple as to not take away from the cool alcohol ink heart! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂
