What a nice day I had yesterday! Kim made some very impressive oatmeal for breakfast yesterday morning, it had blueberries and blackberries and all kinds of other goodness in it! The cable guy showed up on time and was there about an hour. He finished and I left the apartment and headed over to see my friend Isabella. It’s always so nice to catch up with her! From there it was off to the Subway and back to Penn Station to head back out to the Island. I had a little lunch when I got home and then later in the evening Danielle stopped by to get some cards from me. I do miss seeing her and the rest of the crew but after she tells me the goings on at the office I certainly don’t miss that! LOL! Danielle left around 7:00 and I headed over to get Heather and we went to Friday’s for dinner. When we got back to her house we watched some ID TV, quite addictive! Like I said, I had a very nice day!
I thought that I would mention that if you are looking for any crafting supplies you might want to head over to my friend Sue’s Etsy shop FlowerCraftEmporium! She has a lot of cool stuff for sale!
Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Before we get to this week I want send some love Claire’s way for selecting me as her headliner for last week’s color challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now on to this week…
I do love a Valentine! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of black and white Washi Tape. I used the Lawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Red Felt and Black 110lb. They are then adhered to each other with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with SNAIL. My tag is cut from some more Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Medium Tags Craft Dies. I tied a piece of Hemptique Black and White Baker’s Twine through the top and adhered the tag to the card with Foam Tape. Another heart is cut out with the Hearts Stackables from a piece of My Mind’s Eye Christmas on Market Street Gold Foil Vellum and adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium. The little red heart is adhered with Foam Tape. Finally I die cut a piece of American Crafts Red Glitter Paper along with some Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Small Love You Craft Dies. They too are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I love the simplicity of the card and the texture of the red felt adds that little extra something! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS Valentine challenge from Sandy! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! I wish you all a very happy Thursday! 🙂

Wow Justin! That felt heart really enhances this card. As soon as I saw it I thought “with all the felt and fabric I have, why don’t I ever think to use it on cards?”! Clean and simple, yet so striking, Justin! I like the way that the stripes are echoed in the washi tape, the gold foil heart, and the twine. The black tag is a great backdrop for the hearts and sentiment. Great design!
Thanks El! I like when you can repeat a pattern even when it’s not exactly the same! 🙂
