What a nice Friday I had! I hope that your’s was just as good! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and we crafted together. Later on I went over to my parent’s to see Daniel, he was a little cranky, not enough sleep was my guess. I came back home and crafted for bit more before going back to my parents to order Papa John’s online for them for dinner. Daniel does love his pizza! Around 6:30 Bill and Anthony came by to get me and we went to Friday’s for dinner. We got see our favorite waitress Meg and we had another nice guy Zach for our waiter. I had some Warm Pretzels with the Beer Cheese Dip and a Cobb Salad. For dessert Anthony and I split a Tennessee Whiskey Cake, delicious! We came back to my house and much to my surprise and happiness Anthony’s wheelchair fit through my door! Winston was very happy to see him and Bill! We chatted for a bit and then after they left I did some research on my little project. By the time I finished it was after 12:30 and time for bed! I’ll be in Manhattan at The Ink Pad with Anna today, the best way to spend a Saturday!
My card that I have for you today is a nice simple Thank You card. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used some of the new The Paper Cut Gold Mirror Card Stock that I got at the show last week along with the Simon Says Stamp Ariana Wreath to cut out my wreath. I adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The roses are from the Clearly Besotted Sweet Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines in Memento Tuxedo Black and the roses in Hero Arts Butter Bar Ink. The leaves are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and Hero Arts Forever Green Ink. I don’t have the coordinating dies so I used my trusty scissors to cut them out. They are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and some White Pearls along with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the roses and the card is finished! You can see the roses better in the second picture! I love the look of the wreath cut from the Gold Mirror Card Stock, it’s so nice and shiny! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I wish you all a superdelicious Saturday! 🙂

Good morning Justin. Very pretty card today. I am loving the placement of the sentiment. LOL. So…what is this little project you are researching? Are you planning on taking over the world? haha Have fun at the Pad…say hello to Anna for me.
Hello Michael!
Thank you! LOL! I knew that you would like where I put that sentiment! I can’t say what the project is just yet! Shh… no one is supposed to know about the world take over! LOLOLOL! The Pad was fun! Anna says hello! 🙂
I love this beautiful card, Justin. The yellow roses with the gold wreath are so pretty and your fussy cutting is amazing. Have a wonderful day in Manhattan.
Thank you so much HJ! I have missed my fussy cutting! Even though the dies are so much easier! The Ink Pad was fun as always! Hope that you had a wonderful day! 🙂
Beautiful card Justin!
Thank you Gerri! 🙂
Hi Justin:
You call this a simple card – I call it an amazingly beautiful card. I just love the way the Wink of Stella makes those roses look like they were kissed by dew and the gold wreath – well, it’s breath taking! One of the most beautiful cards I’ve seen in a while. Can you tell I love it? LOL
Have a wonderful day at the Ink Pad today. Wish I was in The Village to meet you and share a lunch. Today I have to make some quilt tags for quilts that I am taking to CT to my niece and great nephew. I got pretty excited when the mail carrier arrived this morning with my Mini Misti! I think that next to my Zutter paper cutter this will be my favorite tool. I use the Misti all the time but the Mini will take up less space and, as you know, when space is limited the smaller the better. You have yourself a super fun Saturday. It should be a good one here too as I love using my embroidery machine to make the quilt tags and the Texas Sprint Cup race is tonight at 7. The only thing that could make the day better is if we had someplace that delivered food but we don’t. One of the consequences of living in a rural area. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO 🙂
Hello Grace!
Thanks!! It’s not too complicated but I’m happy with the way it turned out! Wink of Stella is a great little addition! It’ looks so much better in person! I’m so happy that you really like the card!!
I did enjoy The Ink Pad! It would have been great if you were in The Village!! I am loving my Mini MISTI too!! The size if definitely better for us card makers! I hope that you got your quilt tags finished and that you enjoyed your race! Yes, food delivery would be a nice addition! I think that there is something to be said for living in such a nice place as you do! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
This is reraly a beautiful card, I love roses, they are my mom’s favorite flower also. i really need this stamp. I am so impressed by your paper cutting, it looks like a die. I guess i just need patience and to practice more. Mine is never even.
just came back from a Saturday morning breakfast with some dear friends whom I do not see very often. Good food and great company! I have so many new goodies I want to play today, hopefully mojo will join me. I envy you, you never seem to be lacking creativity. Take care….its cold and snowy here, but the suns out, so thats good
Thanks you very much Linda! My mum loves roses also! The Clearly Besotted flowers are some of the nicest out there! The fussy cutting took months of practice but I really enjoy it now! Dies are definitely easier though!
Sounds like an awesome way to spend a Saturday morning! I hope that you found some Mojo and got to play!! I managed to get a card in when I got home! So nice to just sit and create! Hope that your snow is all gone! 🙂
Beautiful card. One of the best I’ve seen recently. Talk a little bit about the mini Misti. I have one of the original Mistis without the laser etched top. For the past month I have been trying to tell myself I don’t need the mini. Do I?
Thank you so much Diane! I love the Mini MISTI! It’s just a better size for me! Less space on the desk makes it much easier in my tiny little craft closet! The laser etched top is great but I do recommend the plastic polish, makes cleaning it so easy! Hope that helped! Have a great day! 🙂
Thanks, guess I will probably get it soon. Thanks for the tip about the polish.
Welcome Diane! I really do love mine! 🙂
