  • Merry Pinecone Card

Hey there, this post was supposed to go up on Wednesday but there were internet issues at work. I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is done already! I was with my Parents hopefully, we had chicken, not a huge fan of turkey. After I stopped by my friend Rita’s and had a lovely time with her family. This past weekend I had a nice dinner with Heather and George on Saturday night and I went into the city and saw Kim on Sunday. We went to Lennox Thai for lunch, one of my faves! Yesterday it was officially 28 days until Christmas and 19 days until I leave for England! Whoop whoop!

I get the Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kits, they have been a favorite all this past year. I used some supplies from the STAMPtember Card Kit called Warmth and Wonder, definitely one of my all time faves! I started out by using the Simon Says Stamp Layering Pinecone Stencil to blend Simon Says Stamp Latte, Cookie, Cappuccino and Mocha Pawsitively Saturated Ink onto a piece of Hammermill 100lb Card Stock. The coordinating die cuts out the pinecone. For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Delicate Pine Branches Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Recollections Green 100lb Card Stock. It’s added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The Simon Says Stamp Pine Needle Cluster Dies and some more Recollections Green 100lb Card Stock help add a little more dimension to the background. I added the pinecone to the card with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Graceful Holiday Greetings Stamp Set and it’s heat embossed in Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder on more Recollections Green 100lb Card Stock. I added with more foam tape. Today’s bling is Simon Says Stamp Embellishment Mix Gilded.

I really love that pinecone and the embossing folder too!

I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and I thank you for your time! I want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you have loads of food and fun with your families! 🙂

Hi there peeps! Week off to a good start? Did you all have a nice weekend? My Mum had a little hospital visit on Saturday, kidney stones, quite unpleasant. I had a very nice day on Sunday with Heather and George. Heather made a delicious lasagna which I have a piece of for lunch today! This is my last full week of work before my trip. I have at least one day off week for the next four weeks. I can’t believe that next week is Thanksgiving already! Where did the year go?!

I have a non-traditional Holiday card to share with you today once again using the Simon Says Stamp Warmth Wonder Set. I stamped the flower in Simon Says Stamp Pine, Butter and Cherry Ink onto Hammermill 100lb Card Stock. It’s cut out with the coordinating dies and I cut a few extra to back it with. The background is a piece of My Colors 100lb Wildflower Honey Card Stock, I embossed it with the Simon Says Stamp Modern Loop Embossing Folder and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The tag is cut from a piece of Recollections Black 100lb Card Stock using the Simon Says Stamp Nested Tags Dies. I also cut out the reinforcement from white and tied a piece of Simon Says Stamp Black and White Bakers Twine through it before adding it to the card base with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. To spruce it up a bit (get it, LOL!) I cut out some Recollections Green 100lb Card Stock with the Simon Says Stamp Pine Needle Cluster Dies and added them behind the flower on the tag. We need our sparkle and that comes from some Simon Says Stamp Cottontail Sequins scattered about!

I do still really enjoy a holiday card that doesn’t use reds and greens and I LOVE that Warmth and Wonder Set!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you also enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Hi there and a good Tuesday to you! I hope that you are all doing well and getting into the festive holiday mood! I actually have already put up my Christmas tree! I wasn’t going to put one up since I won’t be here for holidays but enough people complained that I relented. LOL! Heather came over on Friday night and did the lights, she is very meticulous about them, all 500 of them! I decorated it on Saturday morning and got a “collar” for it from Target to finish it off. I also had a lovely dinner with Heather and George on Saturday evening which included a few Sparkling French Martinis, they were delicious!

The card I have for you today is a fun Christmas card! It uses the Simon Says Stamp Warmth and Wonder Stamps again, I really do like those! I stamped the deer from the set in Simon Says Stamp Latte and Mocha Pawsitively Saturated Ink and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Lawn Fawn Lobster Card Stock that I embossed with the Simon Says Stamp Feathery Pines Embossing Folder. I used the Simon Says Stamp Alicia Snowflake Die to cut out a piece of Concord & 9th Sliver Glitter Paper. It’s added to the background with Bearly Arts Glue and the Deer is added with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Graceful Greeting Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder and cut out with the Coordinating Simon Says Stamp Graceful Greetings Dies. It’s added with more foam tape. We always need a little shine so I added Simon Says Stamp Embellishment Mix Starshine Sequins!

A pretty simple but different Holiday card!

I hope that you liked my craftiness that I had to share with you today! Thanks as always for spending a little time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Hello peeps and Happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a lovely weekend! I decided to throw a cup of coffee all over the couch first thing Saturday morning! That was a fun clean up! The rest of the weekend was filled with friends as it should be. Brian made me some pickled onions and butternut squash soup on Saturday and I got to see Heather on Sunday. Her and George went to Bear Mountain for a hike on Saturday. She will be feeling that today. We went to IKEA and looked at the Holiday goodies that they have. I got a few glass ornaments in bright fun colors. I stopped by Brian and Kim’s after to have some dinner and homemade apple pie. A fun weekend but always way too fast!

Since we are in November, can you believe that, it’s time to get cracking on the Holiday cards! I have a Christmas card for you today. I used the Simon Says Stamp Warmth and Wonder Stamp Set and Simon Says Stamp Gingerbread, Earl, Cranberry, Cocoa, Rhubarb and Apple Pawsitively Saturated Ink to stamp the bow, bird and sled onto Hammermill 100lb Card Stock. To make it a little easier to line them up I die cut them out first with the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Warmth and Wonder Dies. I cut out an extra to back them all for a bit of stability. The greeting is heat embossed in Brutus Monroe Gilded Embossing Powder. For a background I embossed the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Visions Embossing Folder with a piece of Spellbinders Glacier 100lb Card Stock. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The names and greeting are adhered with a mix of Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape and Bearly Arts Glue. We always need a little sparkle and for today I added Simon Says Stamp Embellishment Mix Gilded Sequins.

I love the sled and the bright pop of the red bird!

I also love a simple stamp layering set! It makes bringing the images to life a lot easier! I hope that you liked today’s card and I thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Monday! 🙂

Hi there and happy Tuesday! I hope that you all had a pleasant Monday, we know that they have a bad rap being the start of the work week but they can’t help it! LOL! I had the pleasure of going to a Bridal Shower for my friend Julia over the weekend with My bestie Heather and Kim. It was really nice and only two blocks from my apartment! I also binged the Netflix series Boots Sunday and Monday, I’m not a big military show person but it was pretty good! Do any of you have any show recommendations?!

Today I have a quick card that would work for a bunch of different occasions. I was really drawn to the Simon Says Stamp Sparkle Leaf Stamp Set, maybe because of its simplicity and the fact that it will work well for masculine cards?! First I die cut the leaf using the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Sparkle Leaf Dies and then stamped the image in Simon Says Stamp Aspen, Sage, Pine and Woodsy Pawsitively Saturated Ink using my Mini Misti. Die cutting first made it much easier to line up the stamps for layering. I then stamped the greeting in Simon Says Stamp VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and used the coordinating die to cut that out. I die cut a few addition layers for behind the leaf and greeting and adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock using Bearly Arts Glue. A few green gems from the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Gems Pastel Tones and the card is done!

Like I said, a nice simple card that would be good for a thinking of you card or even a birthday!

Thanks so much for your visit today, I really appreciate you spending some time with me! I hope that you have a fabulous rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Hi there! Happy Wednesday! The week always feels a little better once we get Monday out of the way and are halfway through it, wouldn’t you agree?! I have been constantly sidetracked as of late. I actually have been spending a little time each week crafting which is great! Unfortunately I have been really bad about posting! But I do have a few cards made so hopefully that will encourage me to do a little writing to accompany it! I have been taking care of the Parents, spending time with friends and prepping for my trip in December. All good things!

The card I have for you today uses a bunch of dies, the only stamped part is the greeting. I cut out some Hammermill 100lb Card Stock with the Simon Says Stamp Elegant Blossom Branch Dies and used my Blending Brush and the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat to hold them in place while I added Simon Says Stamp Field, Lilac and Zest Ink to the die cuts. I do find that the Hammermill Card Stock really is pretty great for ink blending. The background is a pice of Recollections Purple Card Stock embossed with the Simon Says Stamp Thread Plaid Embossing Folder. I added it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The Simon Says Stamp Nested Domed Arched Frames Dies cuts out a piece of Recollections Cream Card Stock and another piece of Recollections Purple Card Stock. I added the purple frame to the cream with Bearly Arts Glue and the added the panel to the card with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. The flower is added with Glue and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Airy Greetings Stamp Set and is embossed in Simon Says Stamp Cream Fine Detail Embossing Powder onto an another piece of purple card stock. I used the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Airy Greetings Dies to cut it out and added with more foam tape to the card. For a little bling I added Simon Says Stamp Summer Blooms Embellishment Mix Sequins.

I don’t really use purple a lot but I do like the color and I love that embossing folder!

I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you, as always, for stopping by and spending a little of your day with me! I hope that the rest of your day is as awesome as you are! 🙂

  • Sunflower Butterfly Happy Birthday

Hi there peeps and happy Friday! It has been a crazy couple of weeks and I am really happy to see the weekend! I have been busy with little things and my parents take up a lot of my time now. I did manage to squeeze in a card or two. I really have started to embrace it as an escape again and that is exactly what I need! I have been enjoying all of the Stamptember releases from Simon but not really enough to get any! I did really like the Pinkfresh one but by the time I remembered to look the one with the stencil had already sold out. On well, guess I didn’t need it! A little package arrived yesterday with some extras in it so hopefully I will get some time to play this weekend!

Today’s card is a nice simple one. I used the Simon Says Stamp Sunflower Dance Stamps to stamp the sunflower and all of the butterflies in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Hammermill 100lb Paper using my Mini Misti. I colored the images in with Ohuhu Markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I cut out another piece of card stock and backed the images for a little extra stability. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. I also cut an extra to back that too. A piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp A2 Postage Rectangles Dies and I ink blended some Simon Says Stamp Marine Ink onto it. It’s added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. The greeting is added with Bearly Arts Glue. For my traditional bling addition I used Simon Says Stamp Starshine Embellishment Mix Sequins. I also added the 40 using the Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Dies.

I do love anything postage/mail related. You could add the person’s age to the “stamp” for a little fun! I hope that you liked today’s card and I so appreciate you stopping by and spending a little time with me today! Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

Hi there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend. I got to see my Niece and Nephew on Saturday. We went to Target and they got some goodies and I got a new pair of shoes. I’m a little obsessed with the “Birkenstock” Clogs but not feeling the $160 price tag for them. Only $45 at Target and I have two other pairs from my favorite shop in the world, Marks & Spencer! I think I’m good now! LOL!

Today’s card uses the same stamp set as my last card but has a totally different feel. I used the Simon Says Stamp Vintage Love Notes Stamp Set and Simon Says Stamp Cozy, Charcoal, Sweets, Marine and Cadet Ink to stamp the images and greeting onto Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. They are cut out with the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Vintage Love Notes Dies. I stamped a piece of Recollections Blue Card Stock with the Simon Says Stamp Old Letter Background Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Marine Ink and then used the Memory Box Fringed Scalloped Frames Dies to cut it out. I adhered that to a piece of Recollections Pink 100lb Card Stock that embossed with the Simon Says Stamp River Damask Embossing Folder With Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. That is then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images and greeting are also added to the stamped background panel with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape. I needed a little sparkle so I used Simon Says Stamp Gumdrops Embellishment Mix.

I love when you can use a Stamp Set multiple times and get a completely different feel! I hope that you liked today’s card and I thank you, as always, for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Hey there! How was your weekend and Monday? Mine was quiet and filled with rain. I did go to IKEA on Sunday with Heather and got some chair cushions. Yesterday I caught up on Emmerdale, the gorge is all I have to say! 🙁

Today’s card features the Simon Says Stamp Vintage Love Notes Stamp Set that was part of the February 2025 Card Kit. I wanted a muted not white monochromatic feel to the card. For that I used Recollections Cream 100lb Card Stock for the card base and also to stamp all of the images. The images and greeting are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha and Woodsy Ink. I used the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Vintage Love Notes Dies to cut them out. I also cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card Stock with the Simon Says Stamp Outline Clustered Leaves Die. One of the images from the set is stamped onto the card front in Simon Says Stamp Latte Ink. Then I added the gold leaf cluster with Bearly Arts Glue and the images and greeting with 3M Foam Tape. Now of course we needed some sparkle and for that I added Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Gold Gems!

The images are fun and eclectic and I will go as far to say that you could even send this card to a gentlemen as well! You can see the nice shine of the Gold Card Stock in the next photo as well as the bling! I’ll have another card using this set later in the week, but definitely different! I thank you for your visit today and hope that you enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Ahh… it’s so nice when the work week skips right over Monday! Every week should be like that! LOL! I hope that you all had a nice three day weekend. I had a relaxing Saturday and Monday and a fun Sunday! I went into the city and spent the day with my friend Kim. We had lunch at the Diner and the went to PC Richard to get her a new Stove and Microwave, she has been without one for about six months so it was time! We sat by the river for a bit and then had some Thai for dinner. If you are ever in Manhattan there is a great teeny Thai place called Lennox Thai in the 60’s on 1st Avenue! We have been there a few times and the food is delicious and the service wonderful.

As promised here is my other card that I made using the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Blossom Stamp Set from the April Card Kit. The images and greeting are from the above mentioned Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Hammermill 100lb Paper. The butterflies are stamped onto a piece of Hammermill that I stamped with the Simon Says Stamp Old Text Background Stamp first. I used the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Blossoms Stencils and Various Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks with blender brushes to color them in. The greeting is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Nocturne Black VersaFine Clair Ink. The coordinating Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Blossoms Dies are used to cut everything out. I used the Simon Says Stamp Window Trio Wafer Dies from the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit to cut out a pice of Black 100lb Card Stock. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My images and greeting are added with 3M Foam Tape. In keeping with my need for sparkle I added some Simon Says Stamp Gumdrops Confetti Sequins.

I really do like that Butterfly Blossoms Stamp Set. It’s a great one for making quick easy to color cards! I hope that you liked my post for today. I’m going to try and get some more creative time in this week so hopefully I will be back soon with another post! Have a great day!
