Do you ever have one of those mornings, you know the I should have just stayed in bed ones?! I woke up yesterday with a raging headache, so I stayed in bed longer than I should have. When I did finally get up did I take aspirin?! Of course not! I like to see if I can wait it out for some reason. To add to the fun my Parents went to PA and no one was around so I walked the mile and a half to the train station. As I was waiting on the platform they announced that the 9:11 to Penn was 6 minutes late at 9:12, no, I think we figured out that it was going to be late, but thanks! I did walk down to the store and stopped at Starbucks for some coffee. When I got to the store with my headphones on, coffee in my hand and keys to get the locks off the gate (still with the headache too!) a woman came up to me and started talking to me. I couldn’t hear her so I told her that and off she went in a huff! Umm, little busy at the moment! Thankfully the rest of the day with Barbara at The Ink Pad was nice. We had a steady flow of customers and I got to meetย a blog reader from Vermont by the name of Katie! Thanks so much for saying hi Katie! I left the store and because there are no express Subways on the weekends I missed the 7:12 by one minute! Oh well, I took the 7:22 to Hicksville and my parents came and got me. When I got to their house I had a bologna, cheese on a toasted English Muffin with Mustard for dinner and Taylor and Kiera stopped by. After they left I came home and made my card for today. And my grand total for steps yesterday was 6 miles! YAY!
The card that I made last night is a fun one! I actually won the stamp from Hero Arts in an Instagram contest for Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Daffodil Delight. The background is a piece of Neenah Desert Storm 80lb with the Hero Arts Pineapple Stamp heat embossed multiple random times in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder. I heat embossed the image again onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper and colored it in with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. It’s matted with a piece of Cucumber Crush and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The greeting is also heat embossed in Copper using a stamp from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set onto Black 110lb and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I think that Pineapple Stamp is pretty cool! Thanks so much for that and the Ink Pad Hero Arts! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for coming by to catch up and I wish you all a very relaxing Sunday! ๐

Awesome sauce! Love this card, Justin! I love pineapples and this card is just amazing! The pineapple embossed background is super cool (especially in copper). Congrats on your IG win – glad to see that someone I “know” won.
Thank you so much Christy! The Pineapple is fun and I love it in the Copper! It was so cool to find out that I had won! Have a super day! ๐
That’s a winning card for me. I love pineapples and love copper embossing.
Thank you Carol! The pineapple is fun! Enjoy your day! ๐
Is that a copper French press? I too love copper, and you did copper proud today. I guess your headache went away. I’m sure you’ve had these checked out medically, right? I hope your day is great today! Nancy B
Yes, Nancy, it is! I have a lot of French Presses! I collect them! Thank you! I too am loving copper! Nice change from gold! No, they are sinus headaches, probably need to start taking my Claritin again! You have a super Sunday my friend! ๐
I love this card. Embossing just does it for me and pineapples are just happy! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Brenda! Love the Copper EP, need to get some more! Have a nice day! ๐
Awesome card today, Justin. I love the copper embossing and the beautiful pineapple stamp. Great job. Copper embossing powder is going on my wish list. I hope you are feeling great today and have a wonderful Sunday.
Thanks so much HJ! Yes, I’m a big fan of Copper EP! Need to get some Hero Arts! I feel much better thanks! Have a wonderful day! ๐
Since the pineapple is the international sign of welcome it’s one of my favorites. I love to welcome people to my home and have them share in some of the beauty that is mid coast Maine. Stamping it and using the copper embossing powder is fabulous! I often think that making ones own background beats any DSP on the market. Your center pineapple mounted on white is such an eye catcher. Just as great job as always Justin – and you did that with a headache! Amazing.
Yes, I think we have all had those days. I used to get wicked bad sinus headaches – the kind where even opening your eyes hurt. Although my sinuses still suck, the headaches have gone away. My doctor says that your body changes completely every seven years and sure enough, when I turned 49 the headaches ceased. At least the horrible ones like you had yesterday did. Glad to hear you are feeling better today.
Not much going on here today. I have started planning our fall vacation and that is always fun. The race today is at Taladega and that is one of the tracks we expect to visit in the fall. The weatherman tells us that heavy rain is on the way which is great since we have been so very dry here and under High Fire Watch status. You take care and enjoy your day. The bad one is over and hopefully won’t return for many months, if ever. Love and hugs to you my friend, have a Special Sunday! XXOO ๐
Oh, I didn’t know that Grace! I definitely agree with you about backgrounds, I love to stamp my own! It’s definitely a fun stamp and I’m glad that I have it!
I don’t get that often but when I do they are really bad. I’m not a pill person so I always put off taking aspirin and I shouldn’t do that! It just makes me suffer longer! Hopefully I’m at the 7 year mark!
Planning a vacation is always fun! I wish that I was planning one to London! I miss it! I hope that you enjoyed your race! We are having rain here all week too. I would like the nice sun and warm weather back now! LOL! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO ๐
AWESOME!!! The pineapple is copper really sets this card. OK so my day yesterday was not as stressful but I felt under the weather so my litle I’m just going to lay down for a bit lasted into a two hour nap. I never take naps. I think its the weather, back to cold, damp, and rain, non stop rain. Poor hubby even had the Cubs game rained out after her go down to Wrigley field. Such is life. I did get my DT card done, not much else. We shall see what today brings.
Thank you Linda! I do love the Copper EP and will definitely be using it more! I think that sometimes we just need a nap, I’m not a nap taker either but sometimes you do just need one! Yup, we have the rain too, all week apparently! It will be a good crafty week! Glad that you at least got one card made, same here! Have a good Monday! ๐
Great card Justin!
Sorry you had such a rough start to your day.
Thank you Gerri!
Rough starts can always be turned around! ๐
