We have had a great run of weather lately! Sunny and mild here again yesterday and my car is loving it! It was another good day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got a lot of administrative things done and also found out that putting orders together at 12:45AM is not such a good idea! Thankfully I have a great Rep and she corrected my mistakes! It’s always good to have a second pair of eyes! I left the store around 6:30 and headed over to Heather’s. She had an amazing dinner waiting for me and a much needed glass of wine! We chatted and I worked on some store stuff while she did her school paper. It’s funny how you can sometimes get so much more accomplished when you have some company! Today I have lots of stuff to work on at the store! I have to decide what I’m doing for next month’s Card Class and get some samples made and I also have to get ready for Thursday’s Intro to Altenew Class. Such fun work I have to do! 😀
It’s Tuesday and that means that I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog for this week’s challenge…
Now there is a fun and different challenge! While I was at the store yesterday I was digging around in the drawers in the back and came across some dies. I decided that I would put them together to make my card! The card base is Solar White 80lb Card Stock cut to 3 1/2″ wide. The filmstrip is cut from some Battleship Gray with one of the dies from the My Mind’s Eye Hello World Dies Set. I adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My three feathers are cut from Pale Aqua, Tropical Sea and Gold Mirror Card using the feather die from the My Mind’s Eye On Trend Die Set. I adhered the feathers to each other and to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive. The banner is a piece of Slate with the right side flagged and that is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is cut from some more Gold Mirror Card using a word die from the Paper Smooches Christmas Words 2 Die Set and that is adhered to the banner with more Spray Adhesive. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold and some Hazel and Ruby The Makery Green with Envy Sequins to finish the card. Sometimes it’s fun to use some random die cuts to make a fun card, don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper CASE the Designer Challenge! Hi Justin,
This card is fabulous!! Love the colors and the feathers and the gold. Love the way the feather go beyond the card borders.
Thank you Gerri! You know I love a feather! LOL! 🙂
Oh Justin! This card is so cool! Are you telling us that you just grabbed some dies and made this card as in “close your eyes and pick one?” Honestly, your creativity just blows me away! I love the feathers and the filmstrip. Two things I would have said never could be combined to be beautiful. Shame on my lack of ability to see things with that kind of artistic eye. The colors are fabulous, the die cuts are remarkable together and, of course, the matching sequins are the perfect touch. I love it!
Weather here today is hot and muggy! I hate the muggy! At least it all reminds me of why I love winter. LOL I have no energy in this type of weather so I think I’ll just finish reading a good book I started yesterday. You have yourself a fun filled day. Love & hugs, XXOO 🙂
Thanks so much Grace! Yes, I just rifled through the drawer and found some dies! LOL! You can layer so many things together and it’s so much fun! Plus, sequins make everything better!
I know that you are not a fan of muggy but I’ll take it over snow! Remember all of that snow?! Summer doesn’t seem so bad now does it?! It’s nice to just read a book, maybe mother nature is telling you to take the day off?! I hope that you enjoyed your book! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Great card today, Justin. I really like the feathers in those colors, the film strip and greeting in gold mirror paper too. Your artistic mind must work overtime and I love your inspiration. Have a great day!
Thank you HJ! I really love that Gold Mirror Card and I have always been a big fan of feathers! I love that I got to create things and share them! You guys make it all possible! Your comments make me want to do more! Hope you have a nice day! 🙂
Gorgeous, so rich and elegant
Thanks Linda! 🙂
