November Lawn Fawn Class at Scrap-A-Latte!

Phew! Another week done! Time is just flying by… or is just me?! I enjoyed my day yesterday after my headache left! I went over to visit my friend Christina, her son Tyler and her sister Jen. It was the first time that I have seen her house and it’s really nice and really big! After that I came home and puttered around the house before heading over to Scrap-A-Latte. Danielle came early and we went over to Red Robin to have dinner. I miss seeing her at work and it was great to catch up! Card class was fun as always and I have the projects that we made to share with you today. This morning I’m heading into Manhattan for a day at The Ink Pad which I always enjoy! What’s on for you today?

This month’s card class featured holiday projects and there were five! Two cards, two tags and a gift card holder all using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! Here they are…

I have one final goodie to share with you today! My friend Gina who was in The Ink Pad last week was also at Card Class on Thursday morning! She made this with the dies that she had purchased and gave it to me! It’s an awesome little house using the Tim Holtz Vintage Dwelling and Village Winter Dies!

Paper Craft Crew Theme 171

So how is your week going so far? Mine isn’t too bad, I actually got a lot accomplished around the house yesterday! Brian came over in the morning and helped me rearrange the furniture in my bedroom and it seems much bigger now! I dusted and vacuumed the whole house and then went on a purge spree! Love when I get in that mood! I like to keep boxes that things come in, not the best idea when you have a very small apartment! I threw out a ton of boxes and other crap that I no longer need! Feels so good! I had dinner with my parents, brother and Daniel. He was a bit cranky yesterday because he skipped his nap! I get like that too! LOL! Later on I ran up to Michael’s to get a few supplies and then came home and crafted for a bit before watching Limitless! Love that show!

Well, it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge and it’s a theme…

Thank you cards, you can never have enough of those! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I covered the entire front in a piece of Kraft Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I stamped some leaves, well, a lot of leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Apple of My Pie Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and then heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They are colored in with my Paintbrush, some water and Yellow Ochre, Vermillion, Crimson Red and Deep Green Royal Langnickel Watercolors. Here is what the panel looks like by itself…

After they dried I adhered the panel to the card with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. The greeting is also form the Apple of My Pie Stanp Set and is heat embossed with more Gold on Vellum. I cut the frame out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut from another piece of Kraft, heat embossed a additional greeting on the bottom of the frame and adhered the greeting to it. I decided at the last minute that I could make this a shaker card so I adhered 3M Foam Tape along the edges and filled it with some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti. I do love that greeting and the way that you can still make out the leaves behind it and see the confetti! October Lawn Fawn Card Class!

Happy Saturday peeps! I had a good day and a fun evening yesterday! In the morning I went and got my hairscut and then went and had an eye exam and ordered some new contacts. I had to stop at Michaels before coming back to my house to meet up with Andrew for a bit. He helped me with my project that I have been working on and we got the first part finished! More on that tomorrow! Around 4:00 I started to make my way over to Scrap-A-Latte for night two of card class. Renee and I had some things to discuss and we had some dinner. Class was a blast as usual, my friend Danielle came for the first time and had a great time! Everyone shared their supplies with her and she will be back next month! I really do love the class, everyone is so nice and we have such a fun time! Can’t wait to get started on next month’s cards! This morning I’m going to head into Manhattan to meet up with Grace! We have spoken to each other here on the blog for over two years! I’m so excited to finally get to meet her in person!

Lawn Fawn Card Class!

Hi there! It’s the weekend! Yay! Last night was night two of card class at Scrap-A-Latte. We featured Lawn Fawn this month and it has to be one of the favorites because there were 30 people in class over the two nights! I love getting together with everyone, we always have such a great time! Last night Andrew’s girlfriend Kayleigh came, she said that she will be back next month so I’m guessing that she enjoyed it! Here is a picture of the three of us…

Pals Paper Arts 263 & Card Class Cards!

Another beautiful day here on Long Island and a happy Saturday to you! Yesterday after work I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte for the second night of card class with Michael. We had some Red Robin burgers for dinner with Nicholas, yum! LOL! The class was lots of fun as always, the Friday night crowd is a little rowdier than Thursday. After class I came home and worked on my card for today and then watched a little TV. Today I’m off to Scrap-A-Latte to hang with Michael while he gives his baby book class and then we are off to Manhattan tonight to stay at Kim’s again. Tomorrow we will be working at The Ink Pad so come on by if you are in the area! Speaking of The Ink Pad, if you take a little detour and go over to see Jenny of at Craft Test Dummies she has a post and a video about her little visit to The Ink Pad and you can see what she picked up!

If you scroll down to the bottom you can see my two cards that I made for card class using Reverse Confetti. I’m loving that little bird on the birthday card!

No on to my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

I went with a nice simple card using one of my favorite sets from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set on a piece of Rich Razzleberry in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered the strip across the lower half of the card with SNAIL. My butterfly is from the Floral Wings Host Stamp Set and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzaz on Solar White 80lb. I used the Bold Butterfly Framelits to cut it out and adhered it to the card with a strip of Foam Tape. A little scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes off the card. I do love that butterfly and since it’s Photopolymer it’s nice and easy to stamp the three different colors. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge! SIP Challenge 9 – A Sketch!

Monday, glad that you are done! It wasn’t too bad of a day at work so no complaints. I came home, ate dinner and then retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to work on some projects! I needed to get a few cards made and I still have a few more to go before I get all caught up! I really do love to end the day with a little creativity! Now if I could just find a way to get to be creative all day! Any suggestions?! LOL! I have some more pictures to share with you today from my adventures with Michael over the weekend!

Michael has a great eye for street art! How cool is that?!

I’ll have some more pictures for you tomorrow! Now lets get to today’s post which is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This time we have a sketch for you…

I had fun putting together my card and I think that you could use it for a couple of different occasions! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a circle from a piece of Smoky Slate with the Sizzix Circles Framelits and then embossed it with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to a piece of Basic Black with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The images are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used Simon Says Stamp Duckling Ink for the flowers and Catkin for the leaves. They are die cut using the matching 2 Flowers and 2 Leaves Craft Dies and adhered in the negative circle with Glue Dots and Foam Tape. My greeting is a piece of Basic Black that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Wafer Thin Die and it’s adhered to the card with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. A little Stardust Stickles is added to the centers of the flower and completes the card! I think that this would make a fun Wedding card but also be great just for any time you need a congratulations card! Scrap-A-Latte Card Class!

Hello there and a happy Saturday to you! Last night was the second night of card class at Scrap-A-Latte. We had 14 people and as always a lot of fun! This month we used some of the new Lawn Fawn Stamp Sets. As always, we made four cards with one of the being a shaker. This month the favorite was the fish tank shaker card. I also got to play with Copics to color in some of the images this month. They have some at The Ink Pad so I worked on the cards while I was there on July 4th with Michael.
