SIP Challenge 98 – Kid’s Birthday!

Hey all! Hope your week is off to a stellar start! I had a busy morning, I ran over to the Store to see Renee for a bit, came back home and packed up some orders, went to the Post Office and then watched some more of Blindspot! Almost through the second season! This morning I have some cleaning up to do and then I’m going to have a little lunch with Jim. 😀

I’ll have two posts for you today! This one is for the new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

Kid’s Birthday cards are always easier to make with a little Lawn Fawn! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Moonstone Blue that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders Lawn Cuts to cut out three piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered them to the card. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then cut them out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. All that was left to do was to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give the card a little magical sparkle! A fun simple card to give to your favorite little prince or princess! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Make sure to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope that you will take the time to share one with us in the gallery! Thank for coming by for post one for today! Freshly Made Sketches 286

Happy Friday my friends! Yesterday was my last day at the Store for a while. I need to regroup and take a little time to do some other things that I have been putting off. The on-line Store will stay open and I hope to get some more products up there soon. I want to thank all of you for your continued support and for stopping by here everyday to see what I have been doing. This blog started off as a way for me to share my hobby and has grown into so much more and I really can’t express how much it means to me. So many of you take the time to leave a comment everyday and I have even had the pleasure of meeting some of you in person. Even the ones that I have never met I feel like I know personally. You all share so much with me and each other! I look forward to making my card and typing my post everyday and that will not change. As a thank you I’m going to have a little sale over the weekend just for you guys, more on that tomorrow! I finished off my day yesterday with a visit with my buddy Daniel and sweet Tristan. After that it was over to Jim’s for dinner with his Mom and daughter including a little Fro-Yo after and some TV. Today I have a lot of planning and organizing to do, fun Friday! LOL! 😀

I have two posts for you today. There will be another one at 11:00am! This one is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A super simple card! I stamped the candles from the Concord & 9th Eat Cake & Celebrate Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Die cut them out. A piece of Black is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I adhered the candles to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the greeting from the same set stamped again in Memento Tuxedo Black. All that was left to do was to adhere the circle to the card with more 3D Foam Squares! I do love a nice simple Birthday card, especially one that would work for anyone! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. Come back at 11:00am to my Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Design Team! In the mean time enjoy your Friday morning! 🙂

Paper Players 341

I managed to have a nice productive day at the Store, it’s nice to have a day to myself but I do miss Renee. I spoke to her last night and she got all of her stuff done for the baby shower that she needed to! My Parent’s came by the Store with Daniel for a bit, that was a nice surprise! I also got to see him when I got home. I had some left over Greek food for dinner and then spoke to Andrew for a bit. Some TV and that was the day for me. Today I have some peeps coming in to make the step card and then I’m off to a friends for dinner tonight! 😀

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today…

I had gotten one of the add-ons from the April My Monthly Hero Kit release and hadn’t inked it up yet so I decided to use it on today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of dark peach down the center. On my panel I stamped the image and greeting from the Hero Arts Dress Up Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the girl in with Copics. The dress is a piece of Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper that I cut with the dress die in the set. I folded it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice fun set and the pleated dress is pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks you for visiting with me today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 241

And it rained all day yesterday just like they said it would. If they were right about that then today will be more of the same. I had a busy day at the Store which is not a bad way to spend said rainy day! Jim came over when I got home and we worked on some more of the crafty project, got some Greek food for dinner and then just relaxed and watched TV. Today I’m flying solo at the Store, Renee is off to take care of some baby shower duties! 😀

It’s Wednesday and that means time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

Are you sick of the stamped backgrounds yet?! I’m still loving them! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Everything Smiles Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black randomly onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and colored them in with my copics. The panel is then trimmed to 3″ x 3″ and adhered to a piece of Tropical Sea and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I die cut the speech bubble from the same set from a piece of Wild Honey and adhered that to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The HI is cut from Black using the Hero Arts Alphabet Uppercase Dies. The rest of the greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Chinese Red. That is adhered over the speech bubble with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. I decided that the background needed a little something more so I added some dots with my Signo Gold Gel Pen and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks so much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 240

Another nice day here on Long Island. We are getting ready to have like seven days of rain in a row, that should be fun! The Store was quite yesterday, Renee was off , it was her boyfriend John’s birthday. I finished getting my tax stuff together and thanks to Melissa they were filed on time! I met Jim at my house after work and we ran to Michaels to get a few supplies to continue working on our crafty project, He made dinner and we watched a little TV before calling it a night. I’ll get ready for card class today, like to have everything done well ahead of time! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I went with some bright colors for this one! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Lime. I used the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Cosmic Grape and Lollipop 12×12 Paper. The patterned paper is cut and adhered to the the front bottom and back, on a slight angle. A piece of Pink Baker’s Twine is tied in a bow to hide the seam. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images and the second half to the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black. The images are colored in with Copics and the Sew is stamped in Bubblegum. I used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out and adhered them to a piece of Ballerina Pink that I cut out with the Zig Zag Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The circle is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. After I finished the card I decided that the purple was a little too plain so I stamped some more images from the set in Sugarplum, then it was done! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 94 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

The weather men were right for a change, it turned out to be a very nice sunny day here! I think Spring may have finally come! We had a busy day at the Store with Renee, Angie and I all working on projects. I had a little dinner with the folks when I got home and then had a nice relaxing evening. I did start watching 13 Reason Why on Netflix, it’s a pretty good show and I think that it should be required for all teenagers to see. Maybe we would all be a little nicer to each other. It’s sad but sometimes we need to see that the way we treat other people can have lasting repercussions. Today will be spent organizing paperwork, I need to get my tax stuff together! 😀

It’s time now for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Board from LeAnne…

To start my card I stamped the shirt, pants and flowers from the April My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them in with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also stamped the head and feet onto a Post-it note and cut them out with my Scissors. The Hero Arts Paper Layering Eiffel Tower Die is cut from Kraft. I placed the images and Eiffel Tower onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to decided where I needed to stamp the head and feet for the girl. Once they were stamped I removed all of the pieces and added the masks over the stamped images on the card. Using my Mini Ink Blending Tool I added Hero Arts Soft Pool and Green Hills Ink, a piece of Post-it Tape helps give me the nice crisp line between the colors. Next I removed the masks and adhered the pants, shirt and flowers too the card. The Eiffel Tower was adhered after I added the lace to the top of the card with Multi-Matte Medium. All that was left to do was to add the greeting, also from the April My Monthly Hero Kit and also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I do really like the images in the kit, they sort of remind me of vintage Barbie! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from LeAnne! We hope to see your creation in the gallery so stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 338

After another dreary start to the day the sun finally came out in the afternoon and it turned out to be quite pleasant! Our friend Evelyn stopped by the Store and I helped her make a wedding card using some dies and a few stamps. When I got home I picked up Winston from my Parent’s and then my friend Danielle came by. We went to Smashburger for dinner and then did a little shopping before coming back to my house to hang out and chat. Today I have my Wedding Card and Gift Box Class and then tonight is Thirsty Thursday! 😀

I have a nice quick quirky Easter card to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To create my background I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Pool and Cup O Joe Ink to a panel of Solar White 80lb using a piece of Post-it tape so I got a nice crisp line between the colors. Next up I die cut the fence using one of the dies from the March My Monthly Hero Kit from another piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the background. My rabbit and lettuce are also from the March My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the images with 3D Foam Squares. I didn’t have a happy Easter greeting from Hero so I used the Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black. Like I said a nice quick card, everyone always uses carrots so I decided to go with lettuce instead! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I appreciate you stopping by and wish you a fun Thursday! 🙂

Beep Boop Birthday!

Today’s lesson was that Justin does not do well on 4 hours of sleep! To make my morning even more fun, I discovered that Citibank has once again screwed up my checking account, can’t wait to go there on Monday. Then, when I arrived at the Bethpage train station at 6 AM, I discovered that last night someone had used their car to remove the crossing gates. That made the train late. I did manage to get to The Ink Pad by 7:15 where I waited outside with the rest of the peeps for Jane to come. We gave everybody their goodie bags and boarded the bus. It was a quick, pleasant ride down to Allentown with our nice driver, Michelle. I found the Stamp Show to be a little bit smaller than last year’s but there was still some great stuff to be seen and nice demos being done. I also ran into Virginia, her daughter and granddaughter, Nancy, Renee and Angie, and a bunch of other people. We left around 5 o’clock and I was home by 8:15. Andrew came by to hang out for a bit. Always great to see him, and a nice way to end my Saturday! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again to see my friends Jon and Mary. 😀

Sometimes when I do reorders for Lawn Fawn, I take time to go through the sets that I don’t have, and I snuck one into the last order that I did. I thought it would be good for making simple cards, so that’s what I used it for. I stamped the images from the Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black ink and colored them in with my Copics. I used the coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out and placed them on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the cogs in Hippo ink and then adhered the images to the card with 3D Foam Squares. Like I said, a nice simple card, and I love that little robot! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card. As always, thank you so much for coming by. Have a simply wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 280

What a lovely Thursday I had! I managed to get a bunch of stuff done at the Store which was great despite me leaving at 3:00. Jim got to my house around 4:30 and we headed out around 4:45. We made pretty good time into Manhattan and went straight to Nick’s for dinner. I haven’t been there in a long time, ever since Kim moved out of the neighborhood. Dinner was delicious and after we walked for a bit and then took the Subway down to Times Square and headed to the St. James Theatre to see Present Laughter with Kevin Kline. It was a really funny play and the acting was great! Back on the Subway and up to the garage to get the car. We were back at my house by 11:45! Not bad at all! It was a very nice way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by stamping my images from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black and coloring them in with Copics.  They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Next I used the Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black and Solar White 80lb and adhered them together and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the happy in Sugarplum and cut it out with the Coordinating die and two more from 110lb Card Stock. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Lobster. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the bicycle, girl and groceries and the card is done! I love that bicycle on the road and the fun greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 336

Well, it was back to Winter here again yesterday! We had chilly temps and lots of wind! I appreciate the tastes of Spring but I really would prefer that it stick around! I had a very busy day at the Store. I did manage to get a lot done and most of it was while I was multi-tasking which never usually goes well! LOL! I made four cards and got a few orders together. After work I came home and spent some time with Daniel. We had to go down in the basement with the flashlight and wander around! He’s such a funny little man! Heather came by around 7:00 and I helped her with her passport form and she helped me with my shredding! We ran to BJ’s and then it was time to call it a night! Tonight I’ll be heading into Manhattan to go and see play with my friend Jim, should be a great evening! 😀

Two of the cards that I made yesterday were requested by a friend and I’m sharing them with you today for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

For the first one I used the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After Photopolymer Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To create my clouds I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders to cut out some Solar White 80lb and adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the bottom one I stamped the Birthday from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh and the Little One from the Lawn Fawn Little Bundle Photopolymer Stamp Sets in Jet Black and adhered the cloud with 3D Foam Squares. My happy is from the Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Lobster and cut out with the Coordinating Die, it’s adhered to the cloud with Multi-Matter Medium. I added the castle and the unicorn with more 3D Foam Squares and the card is done!

For the second card I used the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie Photopolymer Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Jet Black and again colored in with Copics, the Coordinating Dies cut them out. The Stitched Hillside Borders cut out a piece of Herb Garden and the Little Picket Fence Border cuts out some Solar White 80lb. I adhered them to a piece of Moonstone and then adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greetings are from the same sets as the first card with the happy stamped in Bubblegum. The stamped and colored images are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and again, the card is done!

I didn’t add any sequins or other embellishments, the cards are to celebrate two one year old girl’s birthdays! I hope that you like my two cards for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I thank you so much for coming by today! Have a totally awesome Thursday! 🙂
