Paper Craft Crew 236

It was a beautiful day here yesterday, a little taste of Spring! The Store was pretty busy, I did get the Lawn Fawn order in and emailed everyone to let them know that their goodies had arrived. I got to see Sandy for a bit and then Sue stopped by and right after that Debbie! Today I have to get my butt in gear and make sure that I have all of the projects for upcoming classes ready! I’m even going to send out a newsletter!! Gotta get back into the swing of things! Last night my friend Jim came over. We ran a few errands and picked up dinner, we even put the top down in the car! A little time was also spent working on a special project! It’s going to be great when it’s finished! 😀

It’s Wednesday today so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I actually made the tag for this card a few weeks ago and then made it into a card. I dusted off some older Lawn Fawn sets too! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to cut the top and bottom of a piece of Herb Garden Card Stock and adhered that across the center. My circle is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Tag, You’re It Lawn Cuts, I tied a piece of Natural Twine through the hole and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of the images except the worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Love you S’more Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. The worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Bugs and Kisses Photopolymer Stamp Set, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the images and then adhered the to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love those stamp sets and I’m so happy with the way the marshmallows tuned out! They look nice and toasty! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s card and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 235

Well, guess what?! The weather men were thankfully wrong and we only got about 4 inches of snow and then it rained. The snow was really heavy to shovel as you can imagine, still better than the 18 inches that they said we were going to get! I’m sure that the ride to the Store will be fun, it certainly all froze overnight. I spent the day in the house yesterday watching TV and relaxing. I did make my card for today but that was about it. I’ll be glad to get out of the house today! 😀

The card that I made in the Stampin’ Galley is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I used the March My Monthly Hero Kit to make my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Carta Bella Copper Dots Vellum 12×12 down the left side. I stamped my images from the March My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut them out. I used a Craft Knife to be able to slide my carrots into the basket. The circle is a piece of Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A strip of Tip Top Taupe and a strip of Tangelo Twist are adhered across the card and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere my bunny and basket with some 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Love that little rabbit and his basket of carrots, so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Players 327

Happy almost Friday! We had another gloomy day here again, but not too cold so not too bad. Renee and I both worked on projects at the Store today. Tomorrow is National Popcorn Day so we are having a Pop-In to make a project event. Should be fun. After work I had dinner and then came home and turned on the TV. My exciting nights continue. I always try to keep everything positive but have you ever had that feeling like someone has tied a rock to you and thrown you in a lake. No matter how hard you try to you just can’t seem to get to the surface. That’s me lately. Things will get better I hope sooner rather than later. 😀

In keeping with my simpler cards I have one to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I used the Lawn Fawn Love Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the bird and speech bubble on some Solar White 80lb. I used Copics to color in the bird and then used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out. I decided where I wanted them to go on the card and then stamped the back and front envelopes on another piece of Solar White 80lb. The hearts are colored in with Copics and then the panel is adhered to a piece of Black and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added the bird and speech bubble, adhering them with 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! Super simple but I love the stamped background! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a good Thursday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 480

Well, I enjoyed my Sunday and hope that you did too! The second day of the Anniversary Crop at the Store was fun! We had an Italian and American Hero, Macaroni and Potato Salad for lunch and of course dessert! Someone made a baked Brie with pears and it was delicious! After work I came home and had a little dinner with my Parent’s. The rest of the evening was spent watching TV. I’m still not feeling my old self yet and have little motivation to do much. Hopefully that will change as the week wears on! 😀

It’s Monday and I get to share my Design Team card with you for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I was lucky enough to get my January My Monthly Hero Kit in the mail on Saturday so I took it to the store to play with yesterday! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Chinese Red. Across the card is a strip of Crisp Green. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies to cut out a piece of Carta Bella Beach Day Surf Shop 12×12 and a another piece of Crisp Green. I ran the patterned paper through my Big Shot twice to get it to be a square and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My images and greeting are from the January My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the bouquet and additional flowers in Hero Arts Bubble Gum and Memento Tuxedo Black which I also used for the wrap. The wrap is colored in with Copics and then adhered with the bouquet and additional flowers to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I heat embossed the Love onto a piece of Chinese Red in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, flagged the right side and tucked it under the flowers. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry, Watermelon and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is finished. I love the flowers in the shape of a heart and the fun postage stamp dies! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you! Let’s see your take on the sketch, share your card in the gallery with us! Thank you very much for starting another week off here with me! Have an awesome Monday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 81 – Black, White and a Pop of Color!

It’s funny how someone as cute as that little boy Daniel can wreak so much havoc! He successfully got my Mum, Taylor and I all sick! I haven’t been sick in over 4 years! When I went to Walgreen’s to get a decongestant I had no idea what to buy! The one that I did get did nothing! I have gone through an entire box of tissues today! Enough complaining! LOL! I did manage to go to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and get some of my things done. My friend Janine stopped by, always nice to see her. I did leave around 4:00 and when I came home all I wanted to do was take a nap. Taylor had already claimed the couch so I went into the bedroom. I should have turned off my phone because it didn’t stop! LOL! Finally I got a call from Heather asking me if I wanted to run to IKEA and stop and get some dinner so I figured might as well! We did have a nice time and I managed to get home by 9:30, typed my posts for today and crawled into bed. Hopefully I will be feeling a little better as today goes on! I hate being sick! 🙁

On a happy note it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge

I dug around in my stash and found another Holiday set that I thought I could turn into a non-Holiday card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Hexagon Dies to cut out some Black and Chinese Red, making one of them a frame. To the back of that frame I adhered a piece of Acetate and then a layer of 3M Foam Tape to create a well for some Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins. I adhered a large red hexagon to the back and then adhered all of the hexagons to the card. My bear and cup are from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the right side of the shaker with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Pretty Pink Posh Fox Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I was going to add some more sequins but I thought that it would take away from the nice simple design. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Black, White and a Pop of Color Challenge! We hope that you will take some time and share your card with us in the gallery! Head over the BLOG, the rest of the Team has some great inspiration cards for you! Thank you so much for stopping by here! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 479

Well, despite the copious amounts of snow that we got the weekend went by pretty fast! The roads were much better this morning on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I did manage to get all of my list of things to do done! The store was quiet and Angie and Renee were there working on all sorts of projects so I snuck out a little early. On the way home I stopped by Brian and Kim’s, I haven’t seen then in way too long! We got all caught up and then I came home, did a little cleaning and waited for my friend Jim to come by for dinner. Taylor stopped by and is feeling much better, she went to the Doctor and got some medicine. I enjoyed a nice evening at with my friend, got all of my posts typed up for today and called it a night. More of my list needs to get finished at the Store today, hopefully I can stay focused! 😀

It’s Monday and what better way to start off the week than with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock and across the bottom is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad. Next up is a strip of Tropical Teal and a circle of Crisp Green that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. My main panel is a piece of Blue Mint backed with some Battleship Gray. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Tree Border to cut out a piece of Dark Molasses and the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Love Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped my greeting in Black Licorice and the images in Jet Black, they are colored in with Copics, I stamped the HI and Smiley Face in Jalapeño and Peacock and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. A few 3D Foam Squares on the back of the bird and phone to adhere them to the card and it’s finished! I think that Lawn Fawn Love Letters Stamp Set is so cute and I really like that greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s cards! We can’t wait to see what you do with the sketch so make sure and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for starting your week off with a visit here! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Fab Friday 103

Another relatively sunny day yesterday, but windy and cold too! Snow last night, not my favorite at all! Renee had an appointment to get her hair done in the morning so I was alone for a while. Not that I mind, I usually get a lot of things accomplished including a nice long chat with Andrea via FaceTime! I worked on my card for today too, I do love to just sit and color and Lawn Fawn is perfect for that! After work I had dinner with Mum & Dad, Mum made chili and it was delicious! When I got home Taylor was asleep on the couch, she has a pretty bad cold. When she woke up we took a ride over to Roosevelt Field Mall and then stopped at Target so that she could get some medicine. Today I want to get a lot of things done at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, we’ll see how that goes! 😀

I’m having a big sale over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store for the rest of the week! Today all Lawn Fawn is 25% off! Use discount code CHANEW20174!

I think that all of the Design Team’s that I’m on are back! Today I have my card for the Fab Friday challenge…

To start my card I stamped the fairies from the Frosty Fairy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them in with my Copics. The Coordinating Dies are used to the cut them out. Next I stamped the birthday from the Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Grape Juice Ink and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. I also cut three more from Solar White 110lb and adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To create the background I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Large Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts and used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Lawn Fawn Merman Ink to it. I placed my fairies and birthday on the panel and stamped the snowflakes from the Frosty Fairy Friends Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Peacock Ink with the greeting stamped in Juice Box. On the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Tropical Sea, Cosmic Grape, a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad and on top of that my background. The fairies are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and the birthday with more Multi-Purpose Spray. I think this card would make a really fun birthday card for a little girl with a Winter birthday don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Leafy Love Letters

Hello my friends and welcome to the last Friday of 2016! We had rain all day yesterday but the Store was fun, Renee had her Home Decor Class and this month they painted Snowmen. I got some more of my projects finished and even made one of the cards for the January Card Class! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and then headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. We had a nice big group and I laughed so much that my stomach actually hurt. I dropped Heather off at George’s and then called it a night. Today it’s just me and Angie at the Store, Renee is spending some quality time with her grandchildren! 😀

The card that I made for the January Card Class is what I’m sharing with you today. It features some of the latest release from Lawn Fawn which sold out really quickly in the Store, I need to restock! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Blue Mint. I used the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop – Portrait Lawn Cut to cut out a piece of Dark Molasses for the tree, Herb Garden for the back of the tree and the leaves are cut from Crisp Green. I also cut out another piece of Herb Garden with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cut and adhered that to the background before adhering the tree with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. My letters and bird are from the Lawn Fawn Love Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Lawn Fawn Jet Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. I really like the Love Letters Set, works well for a Valentine or a just because card don’t you think?! I hope that you like the first card for the January Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Thank you for taking some time to come by and see me today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 79 – Anything But Christmas!

Yes, another freezing cold day! What a way to start the week… NOT! Luckily when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store my Lawn Fawn and MFT orders were delivered early so I got those checked in. Almost all of the Lawn Fawn is gone! Guess I’ll have to do a re-order on that one! I had to run to the Post Office to mail out some orders and the line was crazy long but I ended up talking to lady in front of me which made for a nice wait. When I got back to the store I worked on my card for today which was a lot of fun to make! After work I went over to Geroge’s to have dinner with Heather and him. From there Heather and I went out to see Patty and Tom for a bit. When we got back to Geroge’s we hung out for a while, watched some TV and then I came home. Today I have a lot that I want to get accomplished, I would like to start working on my cards for next month’s class and get a Newsletter out! 😀

It’s Holiday Sale time over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Use discount code SIPHOLIDAY16 and take 25% off everything in the Holiday 2106 Collection!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I don’t know about you but I’m all Christmas’d out at this point! LOL! Plus now is a good time to get a head start on all of those thank you and birthday cards that you will need for the new year! I used the December My Monthly Hero Kit to make a very sparkly birthday card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Party Confetti Fancy Die to cut out a stencil from a piece of Solar White 80lb. I taped the stencil over the card front with some Washi Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply Grape Juice Ink. Next up I cut out a frame from a piece of Gold Glitter Card using the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangles Dies and adhered a piece of Acetate and a perimeter of 3m From Tape to the back. Some Little Things by Lucy Purple Velvet Sequins Mix is added to the card front and the frame is adhered over the top to seal in all of that sparkly goodness! My images and greeting are from the December My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The greeting is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb, they are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All of the images and greeting are then adhered to the Acetate with more 3M Foam Tape. I do love all of the sparkle from the Gold Glitter Card and Sequins! What a fun birthday this will be to send to someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Anything But Christmas Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! This challenge will run for two weeks so you have plenty of time play along! Fab Friday 102

The weather has definitely taken a chilly turn. I’m not going to lie, I don’t like it! I got up early yesterday morning and managed to have some poached eggs on toast for breakfast before heading out to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Once there I had a nice productive day! I made a few cards and also put together another kit! It’s up on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store Web Site if you want to take a look. My aunt Shirley and my uncle Steve FaceTimed me from England yesterday, love getting to speak to them! I also chatted with Andrea and we crafted for bit together. After work my favorite little person was at my Parent’s house! I had dinner with Daniel and then we played with his trains and threw a ball around for a bit. It landed in my Brother’s coffee which I thought was hysterical, he did not! After dinner Taylor stopped by my house and we ran to Target. Today I need to work on some more kits and tomorrow I think I will take a trip into Manhattan! 😀

Oh, before I forget I will have a second post today at 11:00AM for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! Make sure that you come back for that one, it’s a nice sparkly wintry card with a twist!

It’s time once again for a Fab Friday challenge, our last one of the year, and this time we have some timely colors for you…

fab-fri-102-12-09-2016

I got to use a new stamp set that I got in my Pretty Pink Posh order and some dies too! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Chinese Red. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tabs Dies to cut out three piece of Kraft to look like file folders. Next I stamped some images from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the happy holidays onto the tabs with Memento Tuxedo Black and then adhered the “file folders” to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The little critters are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to the hats and antlers (you can’t really see it in the picture but it looks neat in person!). The bottom panel looked a little naked so I stamped the snowflakes from the set in Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink randomly. To finish the card I had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I think that the little critters peeking over to tops of the file folders are so cute and I love the Stitched Tabs Dies! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the team did and enter your creation in the Gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by this morning! Don’t forget to come back at 11:00AM for my second post for today! Until then have a nice Friday! 🙂
