Freshly Made Sketches 265

After a rain soaked week it was nice to see the sun yesterday! The garbage pails finally stopped filling up at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store around 12:30! So nice not to hear dripping water all day! I worked on an Ornament Class that I will be having at the store on December 12th. I’ll share the project here over the weekend so you guys can see what we are going to make too! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. After dinner I stopped home quick before heading over to Heather’s. She was watching her Nephew so he was there when I got there. He is a nice quiet little boy and watched TV most of the time. Her Brother-in-Law came by to get him around 8:00 and her and I watched some TV and had a few snacks! Today I’ll be working on some more kits for the Holidays and finishing up my cards for this month’s class! I love my job! 😀

I also made my card for today while I was at the store yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-265

I really had fun making the Lawn Fawn Kit so I played with the stamps that I used in it again for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables to cut out a window from a piece of Solar White 80lb and also from a piece of Fun Foam. I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman Ink onto the panel and another piece of Solar White 80lb. To the back of the front panel I adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam. My images are from the same set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the solid stamped panel with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares and then added some Crystal Coarse Glitter to the well in the front panel and adhered the back panel to it. The whole thing is then adhered to the card base. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to cut another piece of Solar White 80lb, stamped my greeting from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman and adhered the piece to the card front with more E-Z Runner. Not an overly complicated shaker card and I do love the little penguins and snow-penguin in the set! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 221

Well, it rained here all day yesterday. Drizzled then poured. Since we are undergoing all of the construction at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there have been leaks in the roof, I’m talking fill up a huge garbage pail in 4 hours! We had three going today, I emptied them before I left and I hope that it’s not so full that I’m able to empty it tomorrow! Renee had to run to DMV in the morning and then she stopped by the store to get a few things and then headed home to catch up on laundry and cleaning. It was a good day to be doing things inside! I worked on some projects and watched some YouTube videos. I need to clean and seal my convertible roof so it was a little damp in the car as I made my way home. I had dinner with my Parents and then came to my house and finished my card for today. It’s supposed to rain again today, hopefully not all day again! 😀

If it’s Wednesday then I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

I combined a bunch of sets to create my card for today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink to create my sky. Next up is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Hero Arts Skyline Fancy Die. Along the bottom is a piece of Black and a piece of Smoky Slate. I used a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen to add the lines in the road before adhering it to the card with E-Z Runner. The trees are from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped them in Forever Green and then cut the out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner. The fire hydrant and taxi are from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Hero Arts Black and colored in with Copics. I used my Scissors to cut them out and adhered them to the card with Thin 3D Foam Squares. Finally my greeting is from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in the upper left with Red Royal. You know how much I love that Skyline Die and the City Adventure Set, I had to use them to make a Holiday card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! We hope to see your card in the gallery so head on over to the BLOG to get some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 263

I got a nice surprise at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! My little buddy Daniel came by to see me with my Parents! We ran around the store and took rides in my chair! How I love that little guy! He told my Parents that I would be very happy to see him and he was right! Renee was off yesterday and I had my two Card Classes so it was a busy day! My friend Deborah stopped by the store and I made my card for today. After the night class I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday with her and Stephanie. I stopped and picked up Wendy’s for dinner, not the best choice but it’s cheap and yummy! Today I have two more Card Classes and a lot of stuff to get done, but I do love every minute of it! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today uses some new goodies from Pinkfresh Studio and is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-263

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and across the bottom half is a piece of Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things Doodle Border 12×12 Paper. I stamped all of my images and greeting from the Pinkfresh Studio Late Nights Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp them so they are nice and bold. I colored in some of the images with Copics and then used the Hero Arts Infinity Circle Dies to cut them out. A Memento Tuxedo Black Marker is used to edge the circles before I adhered them to the card with Fun Foam that I also cut out with the Infinity Circles Dies, the adhesive is some E-Z Runner. A healthy dose of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and a little Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pen and the card is done! I love the images from the Late Nights Stamp Set, so neat and different! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for coming by today to see me! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 319

When I woke up this morning it was 91 degrees in my apartment, needless to say I had a pretty bad headache! You know it’s warm in the house when you take a nice hot shower and the mirrors in the bathroom don’t even fog up! I downed some Excedrin and headed to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee had a friend of hers drive up from PA to take a class! She was very nice! Jean also stopped by and worked on some cards and my headache finally subsided by 2:00PM. I did manage to get the last card made for class and also made another one just for fun! When I got home I went and turned the heat off in the apartment, still 91! I should have done it in the morning! I opened all of the windows and by the time I went to bed at 12:30 it was still 82! I need to get the thermostat fixed ASAP! I mean I like it warm but that’s just crazy! Today I need to work on some crafty stuff! Another fun day! 😀

One of the cards that I made over the weekend is for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from LeAnne

paper-players-319

I went down the left column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Tape. On a piece of Solar White 80lb I used the Hero Arts Paper Layering Santa Face with Frame to die cut just face part without the frame. I colored in parts with my Copics and popped up some areas before adhering the panel to a piece of Fun Foam with E-Z Runner and then to the card. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added for a little extra sparkle! I love that Paper Layering Die, so clever and I think he looks pretty neat all colored in! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from LeAnne! Thanks you for stopping by to visit me today! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

Fab Friday 99

It rained all day here yesterday and was on the chilly side until last night when it warmed up a bit. I had another productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! A few people came in to make the card with the Concord & 9th Christmas Cottage Stamps and Dies! Love that 3D Pop-Up, especially since it fits inside a standard A2 envelope! I also got a kit put together with four card samples using the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Stamp Set and Lawn Cuts and made my card for today! Taylor came by again, love when she comes to visit me! After work I had some dinner with the Parent’s and then went over to see Heather for a bit. We made a quick trip to Walmart and then watched a little TV. Today I’m going to put the kits together and start working on some more! They would make great gifts for the beginning stamper! They have everything except adhesives to make a bunch of cards! I also have some fun news to share with you! There is an article with me in it in the Holiday Issue of Rubber Stamp Madness Magazine!! How cool is that?! You can go to their web site and take a peek! I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited! 😀

Not only is it Friday but it’s time for new Fab Friday challenge…

fab-fri-99-10-28-2016

I wanted to use a new set that I just recently acquired from Hero Arts! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a piece of Black 110lb to serve as a mat for my background. I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Hero Arts Cornflower Ink to create it. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The strip across the lower half has a greeting from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Onyx Black. My images are from the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I added some White Puff Embossing Powder to the tree with a Versa-Marker and heat embossed it. The images are then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins on the tree complete the card! I love the little animals in the set, adorable but not too cutesy! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a fantabulous day! 🙂

Simple Celebrations

What a lovely day we had! The weather was just perfect so I made sure that I drove around with the top down in the car all day! Got my haircut in the morning and then ran a few errands before heading over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Our friend Nancy stopped by an spent a little time with us. She and I chatted about YouTube Craft videos that we watch and crafty things! I also worked on my house and made a card and watercolored some pieces for another one. When I got home I had dinner and then sat down and watched a little TV. Around 9:30 I ran over to Target to pick up some necessities and then crafted for a few before calling a night. Today Renee has a no-frills crop so I will get to see some of the ladies!

For the card that I have to share with you today I used a new set from Altenew. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. All of my images and greeting are from the Altenew Celebrations Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black, did some masking and then colored in the images with Copics leaving a lot of white. After I adhered the panel to the card I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the sketch feel to the Celebrations Set and while fussy cutting the bouquet was time consuming I love the way they just look like they are sitting in between the two gifts! I think this would make a fun simple wedding card! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you, as always, for taking a little time to stop by and check in with me! Have a superb Saturday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 210

What a rainy overcast day we had here yesterday. I guess we only got the side of Hermine, better than the full force of it! I tried to get some things organized at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday and was mostly successful! It was quiet so I also got some time to make another card! Nothing makes me happier than creating! Love it! Speaking of creating I have some fun news for you today! I’m going to a Designer on a brand new blog celebrating Concord & 9th, one of my favorite companies! It’s called Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th! You can check out the rest of the extremely talented Design Team by going over to the BLOG! Our first challenge is Friday, so I will have two posts for you! Yay! After I got home last night Heather called and I went over and picked her up so we could run a few errands and then we had a glass of wine before I came back home. Today I’m hoping the some more of my orders will show up at the store and I have to get ready for the Magic of Vellum Class tomorrow!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS210 DT Sketch 9-07-2016

I could’t wait to get started on this one! I knew exactly what I was going to do! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Black 110lb over the front. The panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb. I wanted to use part of a NYC Subway Map for my strip across the middle but I didn’t have any so I went online and found a PDF of it and selected a section and printed it out. It’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. A little pice of Admit One Washi Tape is adhered on the right. Next I die cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Viewfinder from the Echo Park Viewfinder and Ampersand Die Set. On top of that is a piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the slide die from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Open Book Dies Set. I adhered some Vellum to the back and then adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with my Copics. They are all cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. The I love NY is heat embossed onto a piece of Real Red and punched out with a 1/2″ Circle Punch. My greeting is stamped in Onyx Black along the bottom left. Another piece of Real Red is made into a little banner and adhered over some Hemptique Black & White Baker’s Twine that is then tied into a bow over the banner. The whole panel is then adhered to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I love the eclectic mish-mosh of elements and that Kelly’s New York Set is one of my all time favorites! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the team’s cards and enter your card into the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting today! Have a wicked good Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 249

It’s the weekend again isn’t it?! LOL! When you work seven days a week the days just sort of blend into one another! I had a nice productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. My Altenew order arrived and I got it all checked in and happily sent out emails to people that their Beautiful Day Dies were finally in! There were also some new goodies in the box! You know what that means! Maryanne came up to work on some projects and when Angie came in at 6:00 I headed home. It was a hot one yesterday but I enjoyed it! As long as it doesn’t rain and I can have the top down in the car I don’t miss the AC! I still have to get it fixed though because when I can’t have the top down boy is it hot! When I got home I had a quick dinner and then came home and just relaxed. What a nice way to spend a Friday night!

I used one of the new Altenew sets to make my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 249

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and stamped the stamp and cancelled images from the Altenew Happy Mail Photopolymer Stamp Set in a random pattern with some Morning Frost and Evening Gray Crisp Ink for my background. Down the left side is a strip of Pale Aqua and across the bottom is a piece of Cherry Red and Ballerina Pink. On the strip of pink I stamped the XOXO from the same set. My images are also from the Happy Mail Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used my Scissors to cut them out, there are no coordinating dies for some reason and let me tell you, I love to fussy cut but those stamps were rough! LOL! Some 3D Foam Squares adhere them to the card and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Orchid, Dandelion, Aquamarine and Raspberry Sequins gives the card some much needed sparkle! I love that new Altenew Happy Mail Set, it was so much fun to stamp and color in! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for coming by! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 204

Hey, hey it’s Wednesday! LOL! I try to think up new ways to start off my posts! It was another very warm day here, still loving it! I got a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store including making my card for today! Yay for being productive! When I got home I had some dinner and then had a conference call with my friend Greg! After that Louis stopped by for a bit to pick up a Birthday card for his sister. We watched some YouTube and then I ran out to get gas in the car. I like to do it late at night, there are less people and then I don’t have to stop on my way in the morning! All about the planning… right?!

The card that I conjured up at the store is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS204 DT Sketch 7-27-2016

I wanted bright and fun, you’ll have to let me know know if I was successful! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Cyber Grape Card Stock and flicked some Copic Opaque White onto it. Once it was dry I adhered it to the card base with E-Z Runner. Down the right side is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Devotion Paper and a strip if Gold Mirror Card. My oval is a piece of Tropical Sea Card Stock that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. The stamped images are form the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the oval with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The hexagon is another piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with a die from the Spellbinders Hipster 1 Die D-Lites. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it over the hexagon with Foam Tape. You knew it was coming! LOL! I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Amethyst and Lime Sorbet Sequins for a little more sparkle and the card is done! I love that Lotus Stamp Set and the nice bold colors on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Stamp, Ink, Paper Store June Class Cards!

Sunday… I have to say the day now that I’m at the store 7 days a week the days just run into one another! LOL! Yesterday we had more gorgeous weather! Renee had a crop at the store so I got to chat with all the ladies! I helped Edna use her new Altenew stamps and inks, she added some flowers to a scrapbook page and they looked great! Renee brought in the delicious bagels from Miller Place and I had one for breakfast and another one for lunch! Around 4:00 I got a very nice surprise! Andrew stopped by! It was so good to see him! We chatted for a while and I showed him my part of the store. We both headed out around 5:30, Mum had text me to ask me what I wanted from the Chinese food place for dinner and I text her when I left so they could go and get it. We had dinner and Taylor and Kiera stopped by. Afterwards I helped my Dad with the retractable awning that they have on the front of the house and then ran a few errands. When I got back home I crafted for a bit and then watched a little TV. Felt so good to sit on the couch for a bit! Toady it’s just me and Angie at the store, Renee will be out East with her family celebrating her Birthday a little early! Oh, no news from on the baby front, but I’ll keep you posted! How is your weekend going?

Today I finally remembered that I hadn’t shared the cards from the June Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Class! So that’s what I have for you today! They all use stamps and dies from the latest Lawn Fawn release. 24 people made 4 cards each! That’s a lot of cutting and I couldn’t have done it without a little help from Sue and Brian!! The mermaid one is a slider and the smoothie one is the shaker! I think that the smoothie one was the favorite! I hope that you enjoy the cards as much as the class did! Hopefully one day I might get to see some of you at Card Class! Thank you for sharing in my Sunday! Have an awesome day everyone! 🙂
