    Freshly Made Sketches 319

Hey there! It’s supposed to get up to 46 degrees today! Maybe some of the snow will melt, that would be nice! I had a fun day with Daniel & Tristan yesterday, they really are such great kids! Daniel played on his hi-Pad and Tristan and I danced around the house. My Brother got home around 3:00 and I headed home. After dinner with my Parents Taylor and I watched a little TV and ran to Michaels quick. I have some laundry to do today and more errands to run. Anything to stay busy! 😀

I did manage to squeeze in a card this morning and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A fun layered sketch! I have been on a bit of a purple kick lately, not sure why! The main panel of my card is stamped in Freshly Cut Grass, Fresh Lavender and Sugarplum using some of the floral images from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s backed with a piece of Black 110lb and added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock that has a piece of Cyber Grape covering the front. I die cut the happy from a piece of Black 110lb with the die from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Dies and adhered it to the stamped panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Some sparkle always makes a card better so I added Clear Sparkle Pen to the happy and some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden and Pansy Purple Sequins. A fun card to send a little happy to someone that needs a pick me up! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Always good to have you stop by! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

    Paper Craft Crew 275

Well, either it’s not as cold as it has been or I’m finally becoming immune to it! LOL! I don’t think that I will ever become immune to the cold, just not my kind of weather! It was a little warmer yesterday, got up into the 30’s which melted a teeny bit of the snow. I ran my errands in the morning and did a little cleaning too. Jim and I went to see Star Wars – The Last Jedi in the evening and it was really good. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan again! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the Paper Craft Crew

Keeping with my simple cards I did a one layer one today! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I heat embossed the brushstrokes and thank you from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. On a diagonal across the lower half of the card I added a piece of Gold Sparkle Washi Tape. It needed a little something more so I took out my Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and added just a few for a some bling. Another super simple but easy to mass produce card! The gold heat embossing makes it a little more special don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming but today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Use Your First Concord & 9th Set!

As promised I’m back! This time it’s for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge for January! We ask that you use your first Concord & 9th Stamp Set! I really had to think about that one! I have so many from them so I went back through my emails and found my very first order from August of 2015! Saving all of those emails finally paid off! LOL! Here is this month’s challenge badge…

The very first set that I got was the Being Classy Photopolymer Stamp Set! My card is nice and simple and uses just the stamp set and Coordinating Dies! I stamped the thoughtful in Fresh Lavender, Grape Soda and Sugarplum onto card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with my MISIT. The you’re is stamped in Sugarplum at the top. On another piece of Solar White 110lb I stamped the thoughtful again in Sugarplum and Versa-Mark. It’s then heat embossed with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder and cut out with the Coordinating Die three times. The dies cuts are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Another very simple but fun and easy to mass produce card!

  • SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

Hello! I missed yesterday I know! I forgot that I was watching Daniel and Tristan and thought that I would have time to make a card in the morning! Oops! I’ll make up for it today as I will have another post at 11:00! I had a nice day with the kiddos, they are always so much fun and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them each week. Daniel was focused on playing Mario on his hi-Pad and Tristan and spent the better part of the morning dancing! LOL! She loves to listen to music! When I got home I watched a little TV, had dinner and then hung out with Taylor for a bit. I also spoke to my friend Greg in Indianan for a while, always good to catch up with him! I have a bunch of things to get done this morning and then Jim and I are going to see Star Wars tonight! 😀

The first post of this double post Tuesday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to do a little bit of a masculine spin on my card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the sprinkles from the Essentials by Ellen with Concord & 9th Sweet Sprinkles Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Doe and Fish Tank using my MISTI. I stamped the cupcake in the same colors. Using my MISTI made it easy for me to re-stamp the frosted part in Versa-Mark so that I could heat emboss it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies cut them out and the cupcake is adhered to my card base with 3M Foam Tape. A simple sweet card with a masculine spin! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Cake Walk Challenge! There is a lot more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll see you back here at 11:00, until then enjoy your morning! 🙂

  • Simple Love – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Simple Love – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again!! I’m about to go outside and see if can dig out my car and get the heck out of this house!! I have a touch of cabin fever from being home all day yesterday! It’s time for my January Solo Post here on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! The next big card making holiday coming up is Valentine’s Day so I figured that I would get a jump on making some cards for it! I’m really loving the Concord & 9th Love You So Stamp Set, perfect for just such cards!

For my card base I trimmed a piece of Gray Card Stock to 11″ x 3 5/8″ and folded it so it was 5 1/2″ tall. Using my MISTI I stamped the LOVE from the Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement down the left side. For my greeting and hearts I used the Love Always Frame Dies to cut out some Classic Cherry and Solar White 110lb. They are adhered to the card base with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A nice simple card with some stamping and a few die cuts!

I hope that you like the card for my January Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on January 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! • Fab Friday 128

    Fab Friday 128

A whole day stuck in the house is definitely not for me! When the snow finally stopped around 6:00PM the final total was around 10 inches! But that wasn’t the end of it, the wind is terrible still so it’s blowing all over the place. Have I mentioned how much I dislike the Winter! LOL! I did manage to get some things accomplished and even got some crafty time in! This morning I will be digging my car out and going somewhere… anywhere! 😀

It’s time for the first Fab Friday challenge of 2018…

A super quick card using minimal supplies! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the congrats from the Hero Arts Congrats Stamp & Cut in Crimson Hybrid Ink. The sequins are from the same set and stamped in Crimson Hybrid, Lemon Yellow and Emerald Green. I added some Clear Sparkle Pen over all of the sequins for a little shine and done! I have said it before, I love to just stamp a card, nothing else! I hope that you like my Design Team car for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! You can see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share yours with us in the gallery! • Freshly Made Sketches 318

    Freshly Made Sketches 318

Good afternoon from the frozen tundra! We are having a big snowstorm today, it’s windy with blizzard conditions… and yes… I’m over it! LOL! Guess I’ll be finding things to do around the house! I had a quiet day yesterday, some errands and a little time with Taylor last night. Getting gas last night was a treat! People go into full blown panic mode, like we have never had snow before and this will be the last time that they can get gas for at least a month! Relax peeps, everything will be ok! If there is anyone out there with some really nice weather that they would like to send my way I would really appreciate it! 😀

I was looking around this morning for a sketch and found that Freshly Made Sketches is still going on from before Christmas…

I had the urge to color this morning so I took out the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set and my Prismacolor Pencils! The flowers are stamped in Hippo on a piece of 110lb Card Stock from the Storm Clouds Pack. I did a little no line coloring but kept it simple and bright. Onto a card base of another piece of 110lb Card Stock from the Storm Clouds Pack I stamped the Hello in Noble Fir. A strip of Amethyst Stardream metallic goes down the left and the floral panel is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A simple but really fun card to make and that Hello Lovely floral is still one of my favorites! I hope that you like my little bit of craftiness for today! Thanks for visiting! Have a warm and cozy Thursday! 🙂

Did you know that I moved to Antarctica?! Me either but that’s exactly what it feels like here! I woke up to 12 degrees and it hasn’t been above 25 in over a week! Oh how I love the Winter… NOT! To make things even more fun we are to get some snow tomorrow. No thanks! I did have a productive day yesterday, I went over to Jim’s in the morning and we undecorated his house and had lunch. I was back home by 3:00 and took down Christmas at my place too. Today I have some laundry to do and cleaning, all things that can be done without going outside! LOL! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I have had the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp for a while and I finally inked it up to make today’s card! Using My MISTI and some Minty Fresh, Merman, Peacock and Hippo Ink to stamp it onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The greeting is from the same set, I stamped it in Black Licorice and then offset it and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle, some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones are added to the centers of the larger ones! A nice simple card to let someone know that you think they are amazing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

Hey there, remember me?! I have been MIA for a little bit over the Holidays. I just lost my Mojo and didn’t make a card for about two weeks!! That’s the longest I think I have ever gone. Plus I think that I just needed a break after five years of almost daily posts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things! Oh, Happy New Year!! Can’t believe that 2017 is done! I did have a good year and a wonderful time over the Holidays! I hope that all of you are doing great and that your year is off to a great start! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for the first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge of 2018…

I used a new to me stamp set that I have wanted for a while, it was a little prezzie from Jim! To start I heat embossed that gorgeous leaf from the Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored it in using a Light Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pen and a Waterbrush. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I added the leaf and greeting with 3M Foam Tape and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card. I do love that leaf especially watercolored! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming back after my little hiatus! Hello! I’m honored today to be a part of the United We Flourish Release Blog Hop from Ellen Hutson in collaboration with Concord & 9th! These stamps and dies are designed by Concord & 9th and are available exclusively from Ellen Hutson! The set is called Sweet Sprinkles and is a fantastic set for making cards for all sorts cards for different occasions! I paired the set with another great one from Concord & 9th, the Sprinkles Turnabout.

I started my card by stamping the Sprinkles Turnabout Stamp in Doe Ink using my MISTI onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I only stamped it for two turns. Next I stamped the ice cream cone in Doe and the ice cream in Minty Fresh with the oh so sweet stamped in Doe inside the ice cream scoop. They are from the Sweet Sprinkles Set and are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. For the strip I stamped the smaller sprinkles, also from the Sweet Sprinkles Set in Minty Fresh. I wanted a strip to go behind it that matched my card perfectly so I swiped my Doe Ink Pad across another piece of Solar White 80lb. The background and two strips are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used 3M Foam Tape to adhered my ice cream and added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to the ice cream for a little sparkle! A sweet simple card, great for a birthday or just about any other occasion! I hope that you like my card for the Ellen Hutson with Concord & 9th United We Flourish Blog Hop!
