Hey there, remember me?! I have been MIA for a little bit over the Holidays. I just lost my Mojo and didn’t make a card for about two weeks!! That’s the longest I think I have ever gone. Plus I think that I just needed a break after five years of almost daily posts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things! Oh, Happy New Year!! Can’t believe that 2017 is done! I did have a good year and a wonderful time over the Holidays! I hope that all of you are doing great and that your year is off to a great start! 😀
It’s Tuesday and time for the first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge of 2018…
I used a new to me stamp set that I have wanted for a while, it was a little prezzie from Jim! To start I heat embossed that gorgeous leaf from the Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored it in using a Light Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pen and a Waterbrush. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I added the leaf and greeting with 3M Foam Tape and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card. I do love that leaf especially watercolored! You were missed, my friend, but I’m happy you took a well-deserved break and had a wonderful holiday. The card with the beautiful leaf makes me think of spring with the bright green. We could use a little spring about now with the extended cold period we’re having. Being retired is wonderful this time of year when we have nothing on the calendar and can stay cozy inside.
