Paper Craft Crew 260

What started out as a what am I going to do day yesterday got quite busy! I ended up driving into Manhattan with Heather yesterday to drop off a computer that I had worked on for my friend Isabella. We made it in in about an hour and a half even though it’s UN Week. It did take us 45 minutes to go the last two miles! We had a nice visit with Isabella, no where near long enough and we made it back home in about and hour. Before I dropped Heather off we had some Subway for lunch and then I came back home. The rest of the day was spent dealing with phone upgrades with AT&T which I can assure you is never fun! I’ll be getting some cleaning done today, good stuff! 😀

It’s Paper Craft Crew time and this week we have a sketch for you…

Another simple one! I started by stamping the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Just Rust onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I heat embossed one of the greetings from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum and flagged the left side. To hold it to the card I adhered a strip of Desert Storm down the right side and tucked the vellum under it. A little strip of Gold Glitter Card is adhered near the top right of the greeting and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to finish the card! I think that leaf is definitely my all time favorite and the greeting is a really nice one too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! SIP Challenge 117 – Watercolor!

A cloudy day but not too bad. We are to get some of the latest tropical storm later today and tomorrow. I got a lot done in the morning yesterday and even more in the afternoon! Heather and Taylor both stopped by and I decided that it was high time that I fixed the broken faucet in the kitchen so we went to the new Home Depot and picked one up. I have to say that changing a faucet is definitely not one of my favorite things to do, no room to work under the sink but I got it done in about 45 minutes! Last night Heather came back and we ran to Bead, Bath & Beyond. Today I have to find some things to do in the house again! 😀

I have the pleasure of sharing my Design Team card with you today for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I was definitely inspired by the graphic for this one! To begin I smooshed some Mermaid Lagoon onto a piece of Acetate and spritzed it with some water before adding it to a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I repeated the same process with Wilted Violet and again with Mermaid Lagoon. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying! The flower and leaves are cut from Gold Mirror Card using The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Standalone Dies and are adhered to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is stamped in Onyx Black. It’s from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Sea Breeze, Gold and Ocean Spray Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium and the card is done. I love the delicate die cut and watercolor background with the unexpected “label” greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Happy Birthday Pumpkin

Happy Sunday peeps! I’m a little late this morning because I was out a little later than planned last night and actually got up this morning and made my card! I went over to Jim’s yesterday and we worked on getting his garage organized. We had a little lunch and then went over to the new Costco by him. He got a new TV for his bedroom so we installed that and then ran over to IKEA and Target. A lot was accomplished and that is always a good thing! 😀

That card that I made this morning uses some of the add-ons from the September My Monthly Hero Kit. I started by die cutting the pumpkin from Gold Glitter Card and the leaf from Green Glitter Paper using the Hero Arts Autumn Icons Fancy Dies. I laid the pumpkin onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to get and idea as to where I wanted to do my ink blending. I used Just Rust behind the pumpkin and Pool around it. The pumpkin and leaf are then adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. For the greeting I ink blended some more Just Rust onto card stock and dried it with my Heat Tool. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s cut out with one of the banner dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Green and Pumpkin Sequins finish the card! Fab Friday 121

It was a humid, sticky day here yesterday. Not complaining, I’ll take that over cold any day! I managed to get a few things out of the way in the morning, stained a switch plate cover, did a little laundry. Around 3:00 Heather dropped me off at the train station so that I could head into Manhattan. I made sure that I left myself enough time to walk to my destination. I met up with Chantal outside her office on 5th and then we walked over to wait for Kim. She works in the building that I used to work in when I was in the city. The three of us headed over to Omar’s for dinner, they have the best hummus and falafel! From there we said goodbye to Chantal and Kim and I walked over to the theater on 45th and 8th to see Kinky Boots. I have to say it was one of the best plays that I have seen! If you get a chance to see it make sure that you do! I got back out on the Island around 11:00 and was done! I’ll be going over to Jim’s house later on this morning to wait for the guy to come and measure for the new side door. 😀

It’s Friday! And it’s a Fab Friday too! We have a simple sketch for you this time around…

I started off by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Hope Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño, Grape Juice and Juice Box. They are cut out with my Scissors, love a little fussy cutting! The label is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Concord & 9th Hope Label Dies. I added the flowers and leaves to it with Dot Runner adhesive and 3M Foam Tape, stamped the greeting from the same set in Grape Juice and then adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock With Fun Foam. For a little extra interest I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets! Love the loose brushstroke look of the flowers, don’t you?! OSAT September Blog Hop – Throwback Thursday!

We have had nice Summer like weather for the past two days, it got up into the 80’s and was nice and sunny too! I went over to see my friend Sue during the day to help with some of the Etsy orders! If you haven’t checked out her store you can by clicking HERE! There is a ton of fun stamping goodness with more being added all the time! When I got home around 5:00 Taylor stopped by for a bit and then I went over to see Heather. We ran up to IKEA to get a few things and then sat and chatted in her backyard. Tonight I’m headed into Manhattan to see Kinky Boots with my friend Kim. She got the tickets for my Birthday! That should be loads of fun! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Marisa Gunn’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Throwback Thursday Theme! I base my card on one that I did a while ago. You can see it below…

To start I stamped the images from the Essentials by Ellen Mistletoe & Holly Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and colored them in with Copics. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I adhered some of the images with Tombo Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. The greetings for both the card and tag are cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered the Peace to the card with more Foam tape and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to complete it.

My tag is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Die from more Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Again I added the images with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape along with the Joy and a few more Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins.

They coordinate but don’t match exactly and I like that you can do that with just a change of the greeting!

Paper Players 361

Another week starting off with Monday! LOL! I like it better when they start with Tuesday! The weekend was pretty good. Yesterday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some more projects and got them done. Taylor stopped by when I got home and we ran to Target to get a few essentials. I have to go to the DMV this morning to renew my license, I forgot that it expires tomorrow! Oops! That should be fun, possibly not! 😀

To start off the week I have a card for the Paper Players challenge…

I decided that I would keep it super simple and use some of my favorite dies from Ellen Hutson! Those dies are the Bold Blooms and I cut them out of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzaz. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To keep the greeting nice and simple I cut out the Ellen Hutson Brushstroke Love Die from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered that with little bits of 3M Foam Tape. Every card is better with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and today’s are Silver! Nice and simple! Aren’t those dies great?! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Dreaming Sheep

Happy Friday!! It’s a little on the crisp side here this morning but that’s ok, wakes you up! I started work on the cabinets yesterday after spending the morning with Heather. I found that using the heat gun to remove the paint worked pretty well. I also found that getting the doors off was harder than stripping the paint! The screws are painted over, not fun! I finished off the evening with a nice Thirsty Thursday and helped George with some computer stuff before coming home. And just so you know after a year my friend Sam Smith has released a new single! Go and have a listen, it’s great! 😀

My card for today is really simple! I was looking at the August 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and spotted a sheep in the set that I hadn’t seen before! I stamped the sheep three times in Hero Arts Black Ink onto some Solar White 110lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped my greeting and then added the sheep around it with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! Like I said super simple but a nice way to let someone that you love know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like today’s card! Paper Craft Crew 258… Again! & Etsy!

Hello my friends! I finished taking down the wallpaper border in the kitchen yesterday. Stephanie stopped by and dropped off some heavy duty remover for the stubborn glue that wouldn’t come off and she hung out for a bit. I would like it if someone would be kind enough to send some paint stripping gnomes to help get the paint off of the cabinets! There are probably about 5 layers on there, not going to be a fun process at all! It’s supposed to rain today so I probably won’t get to start it until tomorrow, gives me time to mentally prepare myself! LOL! 😀

I promised a few weeks ago that I would let you know when all of my purge goodies were up on my friend’s Etsy Store and today is the day! There are over 150 new sets, some brand new and some gently used all up to 50% off retail! Head on over by clicking HERE and check everything out!

So last week I inadvertently posted my card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge and it wasn’t really supposed to go up until this week. I made a new card so you get a twofer! Here is the sketch once again…

I used the May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit to create today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party, on the bottom portion I used the Stencil from the Kit and some Tide Pool Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Across the panel is a piece of Calypso Coral that is flagged on the right along with some coral cut out using a Die from the Kit. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them in with my Copics and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered wth 3D Foam Squares to a piece of 65lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and that is then adhered to the background. I stamped the greeting from the Kit and then adhered to the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! SIP Challenge 115 – Colors!

One day back and I miss the lake! LOL! I did have a nice day, did some cleaning in the morning and then decided that I couldn’t stand looking at the hideous wallpaper border around the soffit in my kitchen so I started to take that down. Wallpaper is annoying! This then spiraled into me thinking about repainting the cabinets, they are a hideous peach color right now… don’t ask! I’ll take some before pictures and then when it’s all finished I’ll post the final results. It will be a while, I don’t want to rush through it and I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the layers of paint off of the cabinets!! 😀

Today is Tuesday even though because of the Holiday it feels like a Monday! That means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

For some reason I had it in my head that I wanted to use one of the fairies from last year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit so I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her in with Copics. She is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The trail of stars and the greeting are from this year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the stars in Butter Bar and the greeting in Tide Pool right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The fairy is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Platinum Sequins complete the card! Grateful Pinecone Wreath

Good morning my peeps! Hope everyone had an amazing day yesterday along with me! My apartment is finally the way I wanted when I set out on this mission, beautiful and spacious! LOL! Who knew a little purging could make such a big difference?! I spent a little time outside yesterday too, having some coffee and reading the news in the beautiful weather! No more rain here today! I went out and got some shelves to finish up a few last minute organization projects, and I think they’re going to work perfectly! I just have to find a little more time to stain them! I also want to let you guys know that this weekend I will be out of town. I’m taking a little last minute trip up to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Jim at his cabin and enjoy the lake! There will be no post on Saturday or Sunday, but I will return to my regular posting on Monday! 😀

Lets jump into the card! For my base I used my trusty Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a piece of Desert Storm and attached it with the E-Z Runner to the card base. I then ink blended the die cuts from the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and clustered them together. They are attached the with a little Multi-Matte Medium and some 3D Foam Squares to give the smaller pieces a little dimension on the wreath that is die cut from some Chocolate Chip twice. Then, I took my Just Rust ink and stamped my “grateful” from the September My Monthly Hero Kit right onto the background paper.
