CCMC 203 and Sneak Peek

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a nice weekend. It was in the 80’s here today and I took a ride in the convertible and Winston went to the groomers and I spent a lot of time crafting today! For me, it was a great day! Today’s card is for this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a sketch challenge…

I wanted to use some cool tones so I went with Midnight Muse* and the Basic Grey from the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The base of the card is Midnight Muse Card Stock* and the background is Twitterpated DSP. I used the Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die to cut out a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. With a little work and some help from your Paper Piercer the end result is a really nice paper doily. I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on a sliver of Basic Grey for the bottom. The greeting is from the Keep Calm Stamp Set** and is stamped in Midnight Muse*. I used the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies** to cut out the “and” and popped it up on a Stampin’ Dimensional which I also used to adhere the greeting to the card. The pocketbook is from the same set and I mounted it to a 1″ circle with another Stampin’ Dimensional. I love the simplicity of the card and the colors. I’m also loving the Keep Calm** set and can’t wait to order some more new items from the Catalog on Thursday! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday!

Baja Cajun Starfruit Papaya Cafe Birthday Sneak Peek

Hello everyone and welcome to Friday… three day weekend Friday! Bought to you this week by Memorial Day! I have no definite plans this weekend so I am going to try and get some crafting time in. What are all of you up to this weekend? Today’s card is another sneak peek at items from the upcoming 2012-2013 Catalog. Less than one week from now you can place your orders. 🙂 If anyone needs a catalog, contact me and I’ll send you one. The card base is Summer Starfruit* Card Stock. I ran a piece of Baja Breeze through the Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the top half of the background. The bottom half of the background is a piece of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper**. I love the texture in the design on the paper, it gives it a nice worn look. I covered the seam with some Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon. The greeting and border are from the Memorable Moments Stamp Set** and are stamped in Midnight Muse*. I cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies and stamped off the leaves image from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set** in Summer Starfruit*. The flagged pieces are cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies** in Cajun Craze and adhered to the back of the label and then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bird, stamped in Soft Suede, and butterflies, stamped in Cajun Craze are also from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set** and are cut out with paper Snips and mounted to the DSP with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two Basic Jewels Pearls on each of the butterflies complete the card. I love the mix of colors in the Comfort Café DSP**, some old ones and some new. CCMC 202 and Sneak Peek

Happy Wednesday everyone! I love Wednesday’s because it means we are halfway through the week! It was rainy and damp here all day except for 10 minutes when the sun peeked out and it felt like summer. It’s nice and sunny this morning, hopefully this is just a little taste of things to come! Today’s card is for a the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. I haven’t done this one before and I got my card in just in time! This weeks challenge is a color challenge and they have given us these colors to work with…

I love these colors! Especially Poppy Parade, one of the retiring In-Colors. I started with a base of Pool Party cut to 7″ x 5″ and scored it at 3 1/2″ to make it a note card size. The background of the card is a piece of Designer Series Paper from the 6 x 6 In-Color Stack that is still available on the clearance rack. The image/greeting is from the Layered Labels Stamp Set* and is stamped twice, once in Pool Party and again in Poppy Parade. I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies* to cut out the image and then used the Large Oval Punch to punch to punch out the greeting from the Poppy Parade image. The basic Black Card Stock was also cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies* and then embossed using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped images are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ribbon is 1/4″ Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon and is Retired. I’m so glad that I saw the color challenge and love the new products from the 2012-2013 Catalog. I hope you like the sneak peek and the card and thanks for stopping by!

Paper Players #96 and Sneak Peek

Happy Monday morning to everyone! I had a very nice day yesterday. I ran some errands, enjoyed the beautiful weather and got to play with my stamp stuff too! Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players. I was honored that I was Anne Marie’s Pick of the Week for last weeks Challenge! You can see the post here and visit the Paper Player site here. So I did just that, and a lot of them! The base of the card is Chocolate Chip Card Stock. I ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. The tiered cake image is from the Make A Cake* Stamp Set. The cake is stamped in Chocolate Chip and the flags and butterflies are stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I used the new Bitty Banners Framelits Dies* to cut out the smaller banners in Chocolate Chip and cut them in half with my Paper Snips and adhered them to the back of the Cherry Cobbler frame with SNAIL. To the back of that I added a piece of Chocolate Chip cut 1/8″ smaller than usual and offset it and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Chocolate Chip 1/2 Inch Scallop Dots Ribbon make the perfect item to attach the greeting that is from the Itty Bitty Banners* Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies*. I love the rich color combination, you can almost taste the chocolate and smell the cherry cobbler! Thank you for stopping by and thanks to the Paper Players for their great challenges every week. Indigo Limeade Priority Mail Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Friday to you all. I have had a very busy week and I am feeling the effects as we end it. Hopefully on Sunday I will get to be creative for a little bit. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so I am looking forward to spending some time outside too. Today’s card contains another sneak peek of a new Host(ess) set from the new Catalog. The base of the card is Lucky Limeade Card Stock and it is stamped with the Distressed Dots Wood Mount Background Stamp in Island Indigo. I used the Big Shot to cut out two of the Labels Framelits Collection labels, one in Whisper White and the other in Lucky Limeade.  The celebrate banner image and the Happy Birthday are from the Priority Mail Stamp Set* and are also stamped in Island Indigo. I punched out the middle of the smaller labels with the Curly Label Punch and mounted it to the “background” stamped celebrate with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is also punched out with the Curly Label Punch and placed in the middle of the label. I used the 1/2″ Circle Punch and the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to punch out a piece of Island Indigo and Silver Glimmer Paper for a little bling. Happy Mother’s Day

Good morning and Happy Mother’s day to all you mom’s out there! I hope that all of you got lots of flowers, presents and most of all… love. Today I am posting my mom’s Mother’s Day card. She loves butterflies so that what she gets! I started with a base of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I added a piece of Gumball Green (2012-2014 In-Color) to the front. I used a piece of Watercolor Paper and stamped the flowers image from the Elements of Style Stamp Set in Black Staz-On Ink. I used my Aqua Painter and Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit (All 2012-2014 In-Colors) to color in the image. The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set and is Stamped in Primrose Petals and mounted on a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock. The Beautiful Wings Embosslit was ran through my Big Shot with some Primrose Petals Card Stock and the greeting and the butterflies were adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Mojo 240 and Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy FRIDAY!! I loves me some Friday! The weekend will be here in a few short hours and I am going to make it a crafty one! I have lots of cards to make and I can’t wait to get started. Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is by Julee Tilman…

For my card I started with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and I added a piece of Daffodil Delight that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The piece of Designer Series Paper is actually a sneak peek and is from the new Floral District DSP. The piece I used coordinates with Daffodil Delight. I used my Circle Scissor Pro (Retired List) to cut out the stamped image, also a sneak peek from the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set, and it’s stamped in Primrose Petals, one of the new 2012-2014 In-Colors. I cut out a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock, another of the 2012-2014 In-Colors, to back it and adhered it to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flagged piece is Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors) and the greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set. The flower is also from Betsy’s Blossoms and is stamped in Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors). I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and mounted it on a circle that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. A piece of Gumball Green Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Brights Collection Designer Button finish off the card. Bashful Indigo Daffodil Red Soaring Farewell

Happy Sunday people! I hope that you are having a good weekend so far. I had a very nice day yesterday in the city. I was all over the place. Today’s card is a farewell to one of the sets that didn’t make the carryover list from the Occasions Mini, Send Me Soaring. I love the kites and I have seen them used in all kinds of ways, even stamped in a row as a border. I started with a Note Card size Whisper White card from the Note Card and Envelope Pack. I added a pice of Bashful Blue for the sky. The kites from the Send Me Soaring Stamp Set (Retired) are stamped in Island Indigo, Real Red and Daffodil Delight and are cut out with Paper Snips. The cloud is the icing from the Create A Cupcake Builder Punch. I stamped the greeting, also from Send Me Soaring, in Island Indigo and punched it out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and backed it with a piece of Real Red punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. Some Whisper White Bakers Twine makes the perfect kite strings. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the finishing touch I stamped some birds from the Up, Up and Away Stamp Set in Island Indigo. It is a happy little get well card and I hope that you enjoyed it. Carry On Sneak Peek

Good Saturday morning to everyone! I’m off to Manhattan today to see some of my peeps. Today’s card is a sneak peek at some of the new items from the 2012-2013 Catalog from Stampin’ Up! The set that I used for this card is called Carry On and it’s one of the new Host(ess) Sets. I really like it because the font is great and the images go with each saying. It also features two of the new In-Colors from the 2012-2014 set, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse. I started with one of the Note Card size cards for my card base. I added a piece of Basic Grey Card Stock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of the new Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (Sneak Peek) is run down the middle from top to bottom. I stamped the greeting from the new Carry On Stamp Set (Sneak Peek) in Midnight Muse (sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) and backed it with a piece of Midnight Muse Card Stock (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors). I then cut two 1/2″ pieces of Gumball Green Card Stock (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) and used the 1″ Square Punch to flag the ends and adhered them to the back. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals are used to mount it to the card. I stamped the image from the Carry On Stamp Set (Sneak Peek) in Gumball Green (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) and mounted it on a piece of Midnight Muse Card Stock (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) punched out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch. Happy Birthday Heather!

Good morning all, it’s FRIDAY! Here comes the weekend and I can’t wait! Yesterday was my friend Heather’s birthday. She is a sweet and wonderful person and real girlie girl so I figured that it was the perfect opportunity to use my new Petite Purse Bigz Die. I used a piece of Perfect Plum Card Stock for the purse. I added the holes for the handle and the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to the flap before I used Sticky Strip to put the purse together. I used a piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired List) over the handle and attached it with two Silver Mini Brads. Around the bottom I used Sticky Strip to adhere some Blushing Bride Ruffled Ribbon (Occasions Mini-Retired). The greeting on the purse is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Wood Mount Stamp Set and is stamped in Perfect Plum and punched and re-punched with the Word Window Punch. For the card I cut a piece of Perfect Plum to 3″ x 6″, scored it at 3″ and folded it in half. I placed a piece of matching Twitterpated DSP on the front. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and again is stamped in Perfect Plum, mounted on Perfect Plum and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out some flowers with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and adhered them with some Mini Glue Dots. A Basic Jewels Rhinestones on each flower complete the card. I stamped some flowers from the Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set on the front of the envelope in Perfect Plum and Blushing Bride (Retired).
