Creative Mixed Parlor

Happy FRIDAY everyone! We are almost to the weekend! My friend Kim and I are taking my daughter to see Rent this Sunday. It’s my daughter’s favorite movie and I have never seen the play so it should be a good time! For today’s card I used my Parlor Prints Background Stamp again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I stamped a piece of Pool Party with Soft Suede Ink for my own Designer Series Paper. For the greeting I stamped an image from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Soft Suede and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I punched a piece of Peach Parfait with the 1 3/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch. I then stamped a piece of Very Vanilla with another image from Creative Elements in Peach Parfait and then stamped the greeting in Soft Suede from the Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) Stamp Set and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. The flower is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is Soft Suede stamped on Peach Parfait then punched out with the Blossom Punch. I punched out some Very Vanilla with the 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle Punch to put behind it and attached them together with a brad form the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). The greeting and the Flower are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the vintage feel but slightly modern edge to the card. Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great FRIDAY!

Creative Peach Parade Parlor

Happy Wednesday everyone! Only two more days until my favorite day! I love my weekends, I always make a card every night but my weekends I can just be creative which is my favorite thing to do! For today’s card I used a “new to me” background stamp, Parlor Prints. The base of the card is Soft Suede and to that I added a piece of Very Vanilla stamped with the Parlor Prints Background Stamp in Peach Parfait. I stamped some images from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Poppy Parade and cut them out with my Paper Snips. They were mounted on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Perfect Words (Host(ess)) Stamp set and is stamped in Peach Parfait and punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I placed that on a tag from the Lots of Tags Sizzlits Set using Soft Suede Card Stock. Two everyday Enchantment Brads from the Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration) are the perfect finishing touch. The card is nice, simple and uncluttered but the background stamp gives it a vintage feel with some nice detail. Thanks for stopping by and have an magnificent day! 🙂

Mojo 233

Hello peeps! Happy Tuesday to you all. I forgot to mention yesterday that I went down to the High Line in Manhattan with my friend Kim on Sunday. The High Line is a section of old elevated train track that they have turned into a greenspace. If you get the chance go and see it, it’s quite neat! For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge we have this to work with…

I always love the Mojo sketches and this is good one. With Sale-A-Bration over in less than two weeks I decided it was time to use it once again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I used two pieces of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for the background and separated them with a piece of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I stamped some images from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Pool Party and Calypso Coral and punched them out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. They are mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra pop. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral and mounted to a piece of Pool Party that was punched along one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.It’s actually a pretty simple card and I am loving the colors! Paper Players #87

Good morning and welcome to Monday, brought to you today by the Paper Players Challenge #87…

This week featuring… buttons! I have quite a few buttons but I always for get to use them, thankfully this weeks challenge reminded me! I used three different stamp sets that all coordinate quite well together. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and to that I added a background of Soft Suede that I ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Young Vermillion Wood Mount Stamp for the focal image of the card stamped in Soft Suede. The detail in the image is amazing, it’s definitely a favorite of mine. The strip along the bottom, also stamped in Soft Suede, is from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and it also coordinates with the Tea Shoppe Set (Occasions Mini). I choose the greeting from the Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) Stamp Set and they are backed with Baja Breeze. All of the stamped images are adhered to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I added three buttons in Baja Blue from the Twitterpated Designer Buttons (Occasions Mini) and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. Eiffel Espresso Cobbler

Good morning everyone, I hope that you are all having a nice weekend. I spent the day with my daughter and we ran some errands. I also got to spend some quality time with my stamps today, I had a bunch of cards to make and got a lot done. For today’s card I did a simple love card. I only used one stamp set and four different colors. For the base of the card I used Early Espresso. I then took a piece pf Very Vanilla and used two images from the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set to create a background. I stamped them in More Mustard and did it randomly. The beautiful Eiffel Tower image is stamped in Early Espresso and I put three 3/16″ Metallic Brads in the left corner. It was mounted on Cherry Cobbler along with the amour that is stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink. A nice simple Sunday card and with a quick greeting change it could become a birthday, thank you or any other type of card that you need. Big Hug Bright Smooch

Happy Thursday! It’s almost Friday, wee! I would like to take a minute to welcome my two new recruits, Angie and Melissa! Two very talented ladies that are going to have a lot of fun with Stampin’ Up! And now to business at hand. Today’s card uses more of the pre-order items from the new Summer Smooches Collection, which will be available for customer pre-order on April 1st. The base of the card is Whisper White and to that I added a piece of Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (Pre-Order) and a piece of Tangerine Tango that was punched with the Scallop Edge Punch along one side. The image is from the Bright Blossoms (Pre-Order) Set and was markered with Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade and stamped on more Whisper White backed with some more Tangerine Tango. The greeting is from the Perfect Words Stamp Set (Host(ess)) and is stamped in Tangerine Tango. The large brad is a Summer Smooches Fabric Covered Brad (Pre-Order) in Lucky Limeade with little white tulips. Paper Players #86

Good morning and welcome to Wednesday, we are halfway there people! For this weeks Paper Players they give us a color challenge…

And what a great combination of colors it is. I love Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Crumb Cake. I will miss Pear Pizzaz when it retires in a few months too. I also did something that I never usually do, my card today has a very vintage feel to it. I sponged everything in Crumb Cake. The base of the card is Pool Party. I took some Wisteria Wonder and ran it through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. The sponging on it really makes the design shine through. I rounded the corners with the 1″ Circle Punch on the card and background. The stamp is from the set Up In the Air (Host(ess)) from the Occasions Mini Catalog and is stamped in Black Staz-on Ink. I colored in the flowers with my Stampin’ Write Markers using Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzaz. I then stamped the birdhouse again on crumb cake and popped it up on a Stampin’ Dimensional. The backing for the image is Crumb Cake and I flagged the ends with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch and rounded the other side with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. The strip across the middle is Pear Pizzaz with a piece of Crumb Cake 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon across it. I mounted the image with some more Stampin’ Dimensionals and there you have it, Paper Player Challenge #86. Thank you, as always, for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Mojo 232

Happy Tuesday morning to everyone. I still can’t get myself straightened out after we adjusted the clocks, my mind hasn’t reset itself yet! Is anyone else having this problem too?!?! No on to more important things, I give you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I always enjoy making my Mojo card and I’m using some of the pre-order items that will be available for customers to pre-order on April 1st. The card base is Whisper White. I ran some Daffodil Delight through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The bottom is the new Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (Pre-Order) in Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo. The stamped images are from the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set (Pre-Order) and were markered with Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo Stampin’ Write Markers. The tulips are stamped in Daffodil Delight and perfectly aligned with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I used the Eyelet Border Punch for a nice edge along the bottom and then it is mounted on Island Indigo and adhered with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The little piece behind it is Lucky Limeade. I used one of the greetings from the Perfect Words Stamp Set (Host(ess)), it’s stamped in Lucky Limeade and punched out with the Word Window Punch and backed by a piece if Island Indigo punched out with the Modern Label Punch. A piece of the Island Indigo 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon finishes off the card nicely. I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and thanks so much for stopping by!

Bright Blossoms Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Saturday to you all. I’m going to take it easy today and relax a little. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day anymore! For today’s card I’m giving you a sneak peek at the Stamp Set, Bright Blossoms, from the Summer Smooches Collection that will be available as pare-order to customers April 1st to April 30th. It’s also one of the sets that will be in the new Idea Book & Catalog that will make it’s debut a month early on June 1st. This also means that the current catalog will finish a month early too. If there is anything that you want from the current catalog now is the time to get it. Sale-A-Bration also ends at the end of March. Now on to the card! I used a base of Lucky Limeade. I stamped the image in Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White and mounted it on some Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. The strip of Rich Razzleberry is wrapped with Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine (Occasions Mini). A little trick is to use Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the bakers twine from moving while you tie your bow. The image was also adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It a sweet little 3 x 3 card perfect for a gift or note. I hope you like the new set and I’ll have some more peeks tomorrow. Mojo 231

Good morning and happy Wednesday! I like Wednesday’s because it means that we are half way through and that much closer to Friday! For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge they provided us with this lovely sketch…

I wanted to use as much Sale-A-Bration as I could for this card. I love all of the products in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog but these three are my favorites! I started with a card base of Poppy Parade and to that I choose a background of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (sale-A-Bration). The Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die (Occasions Mini) is a great product once you get the shims for your Big Shot correct. I use two of the plastic ones and then use my Paper Piercer to push the pieces through. I cut it in half and then punched out a piece of Very Vanilla with the 2 1/2″ Circle punch and cut that in half and placed it behind before adhering it to the DSP. I think it gives it a little more separation. The strip of Peach Parfait was flagged with the 1 3/8″ Square punch. It makes it so easy to add a flag to anything. Some Everyday Enchantment Brads from the Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration) are placed along the bottom edge. I stamped an image from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Poppy Parade and backed it with some Calypso Coral and rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. It’s mounted on some Stampin’ Dimensionals and the flower at the top I punched out with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and placed another brad in the middle and the adhered it with a glue dot. The piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon is adhered with some Sticky Strip for extra staying power. To finish off the card I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it out with the Word Window Punch. I love playing along with Mojo each week and hope that you enjoyed today’s card.
