Enchanted Bitty Box & Envelopes

Good morning all. It was really cold here on Long Island last night. I was thankful for my electric blanket! Thursday is supposed to be 60 degrees, I can almost taste spring! For today’s post I made a tiny box filled with 4 cards and 4 envelopes. The Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die is one of my Stampin’ Up! favorites. The envelopes fit 2 x 2 note cards perfectly. If you enjoy making envelopes use this envelope size guide. This project would make a great gift, you could use the cards and envelopes for gift tags or just to hand to someone. The box is Peach Parfait Card Stock. The envelopes are Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration). A quick run through the Big Shot using the extended crease pad, a shim and the extended cutting plate and you have all of the main components cut out in no time. The cards were made using the 1 1/4″ Square punch. I stamped the images and sentiment from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Peach Parfait. They are adhered to Soft Suede Card Stock cut to 1 1/2″ square and mounted on a 2 x 2 card. I used the Word Window Punch and some leftover edge from the Stampin’ Dimensionals page to mount the greetings. On the top of the box I stamped another greeting from the Tea Shoppe set and punched that out with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch and backed that with Soft Suede and another piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP (Sale-A-Bration). Paper Players #85

Good Monday morning to everyone. I hope that you had a nice weekend. Mine was good, just not long enough! I haven’t quite figured out how to make it longer but I’m working on it! Today’s post is for this weeks Paper Players. They asked you to make a Spring themed card…

I decided nothing says spring like a big flower. I also decided to keep my color palate to just two, Very Vanilla and Poppy Parade. The base of the card is Poppy Parade. I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgounds 1 Embossing Plates. I attached a piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper to the bottom and used a piece of Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon to hid the seam. The flower is made using the Build A Blossom Stamp Set and the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I stamped Poppy Parade Card Stock with Poppy Parade Ink and punched each of the petals out. I used some glue dots to adhere them to 1″ circle underneath. There are two layers and in the middle I stamped Poppy Parade Ink on Very Vanilla and put some Basic Jewels Pearls on it. The greeting is from the Tagtastc (Host(ess)) Stamp Set and is punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and mounted on Poppy Parade punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and put on some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I would say that the card has a very spring feel with the vibrant large red flower. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday Piet

Good morning and happy Sunday to you all. I think that Sunday really should be dedicated to a day of rest, I feel like I haven’t stopped all week! For today’s card I’m posting a birthday card for a friend of mine, Mina, who’s brother recently had a birthday. Her brother Piet is a great guy and a lot of fun to be around. For his card I used the Uncharted Territory Stamp Set. It has some really great images and is perfect for a masculine card. The card base is Baja Breeze and to that I added some Not Quite Navy that I ran through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the sailboat in Not Quite Navy and backed it with some Baja Breeze. The greeting is on the sailboat is from the Family Reunion Stamp Set and the Birthday Wishes is from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set. I used 3 Metallic Brads in gold for some nice added detail. The pieces on the card were all adhered to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I hope that Piet liked his card and had a great birthday. PPA 130 & Winston!

Hello and welcome to Saturday! It’s rainy here on Long Island but that doesn’t matter because it’s the weekend! A wonderful friend of mine, Sandy, saw that the inspiration for yesterday’s card was my best friend Winston. Here he is in all of his cuteness…

He really is the best dog ever! He is a Mini Schnauzer and he is awesome! I love my Winnie!

Now on to the days post. This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge asks you to use Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke and a third color of your choice…

For my third color I went with Pool Party. The base of the card is Always Artichoke. I rounded the corners on it and everything else on the card with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. I used a piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for the background. A piece of Pool Party Card Stock is punched on one side with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I ran a piece of Soft Suede though the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 Embossing Plates and adhered it to a piece of Very Vanilla. I put one of the 2011 – 2013 In Color Printed Brads in the upper left corner. The image is from the Funky Four Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede. I used one of the butterflies from the Host(ess) Set Precious Butterflies and stamped it in Pool Party. It’s backed with some Lucky Limeade and so is the greeting that is stamped in Soft Suede and is from another Host(ess) Set Perfect Words. I used a Stampin’ Write Marker in Pool Party to color in the dots on the mushrooms and the 11. So there you have this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge card. Beveled Window Friends Fur-ever

Good morning to you all and most importantly… HAPPY FRIDAY!! I loves me some Friday! Today’s card is a birthday card that could be used for a man or a woman. The base of the card is Whisper White. I used the Big Shot to emboss some Crumb Cake with the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 Harlequin plate. The bottom half is a piece of Not Quite Navy and to join them together I used some Basic Grey Card Stock and punched both sides with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I stamped the image from the Friends Fur-ever Stamp Set in Basic Grey and used my Blender Pen to color him in. His collar was also colored in with the Blender Pen and Not Quite Navy Ink and a dot of Riding Hood Red with a Stampin’ Write Marker was used for his little nose. He reminds me of my little Winston. Some Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon was threaded through either side of the large Beveled Windowpane. I used two brads from the Neutral Brads Collection and Sticky Strip to securely fasten it to the card over the stamped image. The greeting is from the Word Play Stamp Set and is also stamped in Not Quite Navy. I love the color combination and the Beveled Windowpane is a great way to highlight and image from a stamp set. Happy Birthday Dad!

Good morning everyone. It’s Thursday and you know what that means… we are almost there!! Today is my Dad’s birthday. I plan to drop the card off early this morning to him so I figured it was safe to post it before he sees it. I used Tempting Turquoise and my most neglected color, Sahara Sand. I don’t know why I don’t use it more, it goes with a lot of different colors. Anyway, the base of the card is Tempting Turquoise. For the background I ran a piece of Sahara Sand through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 Harlequin Embossing Plate. The image is from the Set Uncharted Territory and it’s stamped in Temping Turquoise. The happy birthday is from the Party This Way Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and dad is from Family Reunion, both are also stamped in Tempting Turquoise. For a little sparkle I added a Brights Glimmer Brad. It’s a nice masculine simple card for the best dad that anyone could ever hope to have. Happy Birthday Dad! Melon Blossom Simple Birthday

A very good morning to you all and happy Wednesday! Only three more days people! Wee! For today’s card I made a simple colorful birthday card. This card would actually make a nice set in different coordinating colors given in a box, I think I might just do that. Anyway, I used some Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Pretty In Pink and Whisper White Card Stock. The base of the card is Melon Mambo and on top of that I added a piece of Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I punched out a piece of Melon Mambo with the Blossom Punch (Occasions Mini) and then a piece of Pretty In Pink with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. I threaded some White Bakers Twine through a Bitty Button and adhered it to the flower with a Mini Glue Dot. The 5 Petal Flower Punch works great for making leaves so I punched out some Lucky Limeade and then cut it into five sections and adhered two to the back of the flower. I used the Decorative Label Punch on some more Lucky Limeade for a back to the greeting from the Perfect Punches Stamp Set which I stamped in Melon Mambo. The pieces were then adhered to the card with Mini Glue Dots. The colors have a nice spring feel to them and I’m sure that someone would love to get this for their birthday! Mojo 230

Good morning! It’s Tuesday, which means one more day closer to the weekend! At least we all made it through Monday! Today may I present to you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

The question begs round or square… I always do square (and today is no exception) but one day I’ll have to do round. I decided to play around with the Sale-A-Bration items for today’s card. The card base is Lucky Limeade and to that I added a piece of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration). I then took some Poppy Parade and punched the edge with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and added a piece of ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack. The images on the Very Vanilla Card Stock are stamped from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Soft Suede and then it’s mounted on a piece of Soft Suede Card Stock. I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and some Pool Party and Peach Parfait Card Stock for the flower (did you notice that the flower is on the DSP too?!) and put one of the Large Pearls Basic Jewels in the middle. The greeting is from Perfect Words (IB&C – Host(ess)) and is stamped in Lucky Limeade and mounted to a piece of Lucky Limeade that is punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch. I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the rectangle to the card and give it some dimension. I hope that you like today’s card and thanks, as always, for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday!

French Foliage CASE

Happy Saturday to you all! I’m off to the Manhattan today to drop off some orders, my daughter is going to take a ride in with me. It will be cold but I love Manhattan. For today’s card I CASED my friend Sandy’s card. I loved the card so much that I got the French Foliage Stamp Set just so I could make it. The card is uses every stamp in the set at least once. I stamped the images in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The square image on the card is actually Clear Block C stamped on the ink pad and then onto the card. I added some 3/16″ Metallic Brads and 1/4″ Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon for embellishment. The greeting is from a great go to set Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Early Espresso and punched out with the Word Window Punch then mounted on a halved Stampin’ Dimensional. Very Vanilla is mounted on Crumb Cake and then mounted on the card base of Early Espresso. This card would work for so many different occasions, thank you, miss you and especially a masculine birthday. I really like the card, it’s one of my favorites of all time. A very good Thursday to you all. One more day and it’s… FRIDAY!! I love the weekend, but who doesn’t?! Today, I give you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I really like this weeks sketch, it’s perfect for a Designer Series Paper background. I used some of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper form the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (FREE with any $50 purchase). I really like the collection of papers that they include and I have used every one of them. The images are from the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set and are stamped in Calypso Coral. I cut the flower out and put it on a Stampin’ Dimensional. Then, I ran a piece of Soft Suede through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon was then tied around it and adhered to the background with a combination of Sticky Strip and SNAIL, I like to make sure that it’s going to stay put! I mounted the stamped piece of Very Vanilla on top of that with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede.
