Freshly Made Sketches 295

The weather was very nice here again yesterday! I managed to get some cards made in the morning, cleaned the house and spent a little time outside enjoying the weather! I also ran a few errands in the evening and watched a little TV. Today I have a bunch of projects to get through, I think it’s supposed to rain so that will make it easier! LOL! 😀

When I saw this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge I knew just what I wanted to do…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Die to cut a piece of Soft Sky and adhered it across the lower half of the card. My images are from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Fog. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is cut from Silver Glitter Card Stock using the Simon Says Stamp Painted Enjoy and Summer Dies. A little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres them to the stamped images and three Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the subtlety of the colors with the pop of silver! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a terrific Thursday! 🙂

Golden Hugs – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hi all! I hope that you had a happy and safe Independence Day! I started my day yesterday by picking up my friend Chantal and heading over to Long Beach. Her Granddaughter takes surfing lessons so we went to watch. While we were there we saw a whole bunch of Dolphins in the water just off the beach. Who knew that we had Dolphins in the waters here?! You can see the kids in the water…

Before heading back Chantal and I had a nice brunch at a local restaurant. It was great to get to spend some time with her! I dropped her off and then stopped by my house before heading over to Stephanie’s for a BBQ. There were a bunch of my peeps there and we had a really nice time! Today I have some crafting to do and a lot of cleaning. 😀

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. Be sure and stop by there too! I did another card with a bunch of layers! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edge Dies to cut a piece of Lobster and Gold Mirror Card. On the Lobster I heat embossed the hugs from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The two layers are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the edge dies and the nice simple hugs greeting! I hope that you like my card for my July Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on July 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one! Thanks for stopping by! SIP Challenge 106 – Christmas in July!

Well, that was a nice long day in the city! I got in around 9:00 and headed up to the Apple Store to pick up an iMac for a friend of mine. Unfortunately it wasn’t ready, so after about four phone calls and lots of waiting I finally was able to get it at 4:00! Let me tell you, they are pretty heavy when you have to carry them for a few blocks! I made it back to the apartment seconds before the heavens opened! After I got the new one set up I had to pack up the old one and send it off to Maine. Again, heavy taking it to the UPS Store and $100 to ship it! Yikes! By the time I got home it was 8:15 so I came in and made my card for today and then I was done! LOL! This morning I’m going to pick up my friend Chantal and go and watch her granddaughter surf in over in Long Beach! Later on a BBQ at Steph’s! Happy Independence Day peeps! Fun times! 😀

It’s Tuesday so time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Ahh, it has been ages since I have made a Christmas card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil and Lake Shores Ink with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some color to the card. The fun frame is the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames Die cut from a piece of Merman. I added Acetate to the back and some 3M Foam Tape and filled it with Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins. The snowflake is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die and is adhered to the frame with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It’s been forever since I have made a shaker card and that frame die is perfect for them! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Christmas in July Challenge! We hope to see your cards in the Gallery so go over and check out the BLOG for some more inspiration! Thank you for visiting! Have a funtabulous 4th! 🙂

Paper Players 351

It was a nice day here yesterday, in the high 80’s with lots of sun. I decided that it was important for me to be outside and enjoy it so I didn’t get as much done as I had wanted to but I still did manage to accomplish some things. I crafted for a bit and got a few things done on the computer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan again for the better part of the day. A nice way to start off my week! 😀

Monday and I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I began by stamping the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. My two hearts are die cut from Merman and Bluejay Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies. On the Merman one I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the word YOU. The celebrate is cut from another piece of Bluejay and adhered to the heart with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I adhered the Bluejay heart to the card front with E-Z Runner and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered to the Merman one adding the YOU back into the center. A few Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice simple layout and I love the die cut YOU from the heart! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks so much for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Butterfly Hello

Yay for the weekend! Yesterday was nice, I did a few things around the house. My Brother and Erika stopped by my Parent’s with the kids and we all had dinner together. After that Taylor and I ran a few errands and I spoke to my friend Greg for a while. Today I have a lot of things to get done, I will be spending a lot of time in front of the computer and then maybe squeeze in a little crafting! 😀

While I was thinking of cards to make yesterday I was looking around the Stampin’ Galley and it’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated and not used! I’m sure that you know what I mean! LOL! So in an effort to use up some of the excess that I have I used some paper and embellishments to make my card! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye My Story 6×6 Paper Pad to my card base, the second one with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is one of the My Mind’s Eye Die Cut Journaling Cards and that is adhered with 3M Foam Tape. The little gold butterfly in the upper left is one of the My Mind’s Eye Chipboard Buttons. I tied a piece of American Crafts Black Twine into a bow before adhering it to the card. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Black 110lb with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. One last thing to finish the card, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins! A pretty simple card to put together and how neat to get to use some of those goodies that have been just sitting there?! I hope that you like today’s card and are inspired to use some of your collections! Thank you for stopping by and have a super Saturday! 🙂

I See You’re Fantastic!

Happy Friday my peeps! I had a lazy day yesterday, I managed to get a few things done but today I need to get a lot done! The wedding last night was nice! The ceremony was right next to the water. I love when couples write their own vows, makes is so much more personal. It was nice to be with my Parents, brother, Erika, Taylor, her friend and Jim! It looks to be another nice day here today, I need to clean and seal my convertible top, maybe that will be today’s project! 😀

I haven’t used a tag on a card in a while so today I have a simple card with just that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greetings are from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the chevrons in Audrey Blue down the left side of the card. My tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb using the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Die. The glasses are stamped in Slate and and the ampersand in Audrey Blue, they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the greetings in Slate onto the tag and tied a piece of American Crafts Grey Natural Twine through the top. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The glasses and ampersand are adhered to the tag with 3M Foam Tape and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze Sequins finish it off! I love that stamp set with all of it’s eclectic images and fun greetings! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in! Have an amazing Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 294

The weather was pleasant again here yesterday and so was the ride into the city on the train! I had a very nice visit with Jon and Mary, Jon had a little bit of a cold so he was nice enough to keep his distance! Before I got on the train to come home I did a little shopping. I have a wedding to go to tonight and needed something to wear! My friend Jen is getting married. I used to change her diapers when she was a baby! Boy I’m old! LOL! Should be a fun way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is the one that I made for the wedding! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped some images from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and the leaves onto some Desert Storm, both in Black. I cut the flower out with my Scissors and adhered it to the Desert Storm panel with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and to that I added a panel of Black 110lb and a strip of Black Glitter Tape. The Desert Storm panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it some shine and the card is done! I really like the flower and leaves in the stamp set and I did try and coordinate the card a little with the invitation! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 250

Hey there! Another morning that started off with some rain but then finished nice and sunny! I got a few things completed that I wanted to finish in the morning. I also got a little cleaning done! Last night I went with Heather and Stephanie to see George play softball. They lost the first game but were winning the second when we left! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again, this time to see Mary! Should be another fun day in the city! 😀

Well, let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card starts off with a card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp in Soft Vanilla right onto the front. My ice pops are from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are stamped in Aquatic, Crimson and Green Apple Hybrid Ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My sticks are cut from some leftover Kraft that I heat embossed with clear using the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background. I adhered the sticks to the popsicles and then them to the card. I stamped my greeting, also from the Sweet & Cool Set, in Cup O Joe. A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets on the ice pops and the card is done! I love the effect that you get when you clear emboss over the Hybrid ink! They really do look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the other cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Quick Thank You X 2!

I’m still on lake time! What a nice weekend! Yesterday we went for a nice long walk in the morning and visited the falls. I’m having issues getting pictures uploaded so I’ll share more of them on Monday with you. We also wandered around a few antique stores and went for ice cream after dinner! I have to tell you that it’s very nice to type my post with that lovely view of the lake! 😀

Today I have two really simple thank you cards to share with you! The greetings and hearts are from the May 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped them in Lime Green and Tide Pool, alternating the colors so that they had a bit more interest. To step them up a little bit I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Share Kindness Mix, that’s it! Really simple cards but who wouldn’t want to get one in the mail?! I hope that you like today’s cards! Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing Saturday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 249

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! 😀

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂
